12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 4Multivariate analysis of surface water quality in the Three Gorges area of China and implications for water management显示文摘Multivariate statistical techniques,cluster analysis,non-parametric tests,and factor analysis were applied to analyze a water quality dataset including 13 parameters at 37 sites of the Three Gorges area,China,from 2003–2008 to investigate spatio-temporal variations and identify potential pollution sources.Using cluster analysis,the twelve months of the year were classified into three periods of lowflow (LF),normal-flow (NF),and high-flow (HF);and the 37 monitoring sites were divided into low pollution (LP),moderate pollution (MP),and high pollution (HP).Dissolved oxygen (DO),potassium permanganate index (COD Mn ),and ammonia-nitrogen (NH 4 +-N) were identified as significant variables affecting temporal and spatial variations by non-parametric tests.Factor analysis identified that the major pollutants in the HP region were organic matters and nutrients during NF,heavy metals during LF,and petroleum during HF.In the MP region,the identified pollutants primarily included organic matter and heavy metals year-around,while in the LP region,organic pollution was significant during both NF and HF,and nutrient and heavy metal levels were high during both LF and HF.The main sources of pollution came from domestic wastewater and agricultural activities and runoff;however,they contributed differently to each region in regards to pollution levels.For the HP region,inputs from wastewater treatment plants were significant;but for MP and LP regions,water pollution was more likely from the combined effects of agriculture,domestic wastewater,and chemical industry.These results provide fundamental information for developing better water pollution control strategies for the Three Gorges area.Jian Zhao Guo Fu Kun Lei Yanwu Li 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,9:25
5Temporal and spatial changes in nutrients and chlorophyll-a in a shallow lake,Lake Chaohu, China: An 11-year investigation显示文摘Temporal and spatial changes of total nitrogen(TN),total phosphorus(TP) and chlorophyll-a(Chl-a) in a shallow lake,Lake Chaohu,China,were investigated using monthly monitoring data from 2001 through 2011.The results showed that the annual mean concentration ranges of TN,TP,and Chl-a were 0.08-14.60 mg/L,0.02-1.08 mg/L,and 0.10-465.90 μg/L,respectively.Our data showed that Lake Chaohu was highly eutrophic and that water quality showed no substantial improvement during 2001 through 2011.The mean concentrations of TP,TN and Chl-a in the western lake were significantly higher than in the eastern lake,which indicates a spatial distribution of the three water parameters.The annual mean ratio of TN:TP by weight ranged from 10 to 20,indicating that phosphorus was the limiting nutrient in this lake.A similar seasonality variation for TP and Chl-a was observed.Riverine TP and NH4+ loading from eight major tributaries were in the range of 1.56 × 104-5.47 × 104 and 0.19 × 104-0.51 × 104 tons/yr over 2002-2011,respectively,and exceeded the water environmental capability of the two nutrients in the lake by a factor of 3-6.Thus reduction of nutrient loading in the sub-watershed and tributaries would be essential for the restoration of Lake Chaohu.Libiao Yang Kun Lei Wei Meng Guo Fu Weijin Yan 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,6:19

8Radiofrequency ablation of hepatocellular carcinoma in difficult locations:Strategies and long-term outcomes显示文摘AIM:To investigate the treatment strategies and longterm outcomes of radiofrequency ablation(RFA) of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) in difficult locations and to compare the results with non-difficult HCC.METHODS:From 2004 to 2012,a total of 470 HCC patients underwent ultrasound-guided percutaneous RFA.Among these HCC patients,382 with tumors located ≤ 5 mm from a major vessel/bile duct(n = 87),from peripheral important structures(n = 232) or from the liver capsule(n = 63) were regarded as difficult cases.There were 331 male patients and 51 female patients,with an average age of 55.3 ± 10.1 years old.A total of 235 and 147 patients had ChildPugh class A and class B liver function,respectively.The average tumor size was 3.4 ± 1.2 cm.Individual treatment strategies were developed to treat these difficult cases.During the same period,88 HCC patients with tumors that were not in difficult locations served as the control group.In the control group,74 patients were male,and 14 patients were female,with an average age of 57.4 ± 11.8 years old.Of these,62 patients and 26 patients had Child-Pugh class A and class B liver function,respectively.Regular follow-up after RFA was performed to assess treatment efficacy.Survival results were generated from Kaplan-Meier estimates,and multivariate analysis was performed using the Cox regression model.RESULTS:Early tumor necrosis rate in the difficult group was similar to that in the control group(97.6% vs 94.3%,P = 0.080).The complication rate in the difficult group was significantly higher than that in thecontrol group(4.9% vs 0.8%,P = 0.041).The followup period ranged from 6 to 116 mo,with an average of 28 ± 22.4 mo.Local progression rate in the difficult group was significantly higher than that in the control group(12.7% vs 7.1%,P = 0.046).However,the 1-,3-,5-,and 7-year overall survival rates in the difficult group were not significantly different from those in the control group(84.3%,54.4%,41.2%,and 29.9% vs 92.5%,60.3%,43.2%,and 32.8%,respectively,P = 0.371).Additionally,a multivariate analysis revealed that tumor location was not a significant risk factor for survival.CONCLUSION:There was no significant difference in long-term overall survival between the two groups even though the local progression rate was higher in the difficult group.Wei Yang Kun Yan Gong-Xiong Wu Wei Wu Ying Fu Jung-Chieh Lee Zhong-Yi Zhang Song Wang Min-Hua Chen 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,5:13
9Distribution,Frequency and Variation of Stripe Rust Resistance Loci Yr10,Lr34/Yr18 and Yr36 in Chinese Wheat Cultivars显示文摘Wheat stripe rust is a devastating disease in many regions of the world.In wheat,49 resistance genes for stripe rust have been officially documented,but only three genes are cloned,including the race-specific resistance Yr10 candidate gene(Yr10_(CG)) and slow-rusting genes Lr34/Yr18(hereafter designated as Yr18) and Yr36.In this study,we developed gene-specific markers for these genes and used them to screen a collection of 659 wheat accessions,including 485 Chinese cultivars.Thirteen percent and eleven percent of the tested Chinese cultivars were positive for the markers for Yr10_(CG) and Yr18_(RH)(the resistant haplotype of Yr18),respectively,but none were positive for the Yr36 marker.Since there is a limited use of the Yr10 gene in Chinese wheat,the relatively high frequency of wheat varieties with the Yr10_(CG) marker suggests that the identity of the Yr10 gene is unknown.With regards to the Yr18 gene,29%of the tested cultivars that are used in the Middle and Lower Yangtze Valleys' winter wheat zone were positive for Yr18_(RH) markers.A non-functional allele of Yr18_(RH) was identified in 'Mingxian 169',a commonly used susceptible check for studying stripe rust.The data presented here will provide useful information for marker-assisted selection for wheat stripe rust resistance.Cuiling Yuan Hui Jiang Honggang Wang Kun Li Heng Tang Xianbin Li Daolin Fu 2012Journal of Genetics and Genomics2012,39,11:12
10Role of the Nocturnal Low-level Jet in the Formation of the Morning Precipitation Peak over the Dabie Mountains显示文摘The diurnal variation of precipitation over the Dabie Mountains(DBM) in eastern China during the 2013 mei-yu season is investigated with forecasts of a regional convection-permitting model. Simulated precipitation is verified against surface rain-gauge observations. The observed morning precipitation peak on the windward(relative to the prevailing synoptic-scale wind) side of the DBM is reproduced with good spatial and temporal accuracy. The interaction between the DBM and a nocturnal boundary layer low-level jet(BLJ) due to the inertial oscillation mechanism is shown to be responsible for this precipitation peak. The BLJ is aligned with the lower-level southwesterly synoptic-scale flow that carries abundant moisture.The BLJ core is established at around 0200 LST upwind of the mountains. It moves towards the DBM and reaches maximum intensity at about 70 km ahead of the mountains. 11Land-surface processes and summer-cloud-precipitation characteristics in the Tibetan Plateau and their effects on downstream weather:a review and perspective显示文摘Correct understanding of the land-surface processes and cloud-precipitation processes in the Tibetan Plateau(TP)is an important prerequisite for the study and forecast of the downstream activities of weather systems and one of the key points for understanding the global atmospheric movement.In order to show the achievements that have been made,this paper reviews the progress on the observations for the atmospheric boundary layer,land-surface heat fluxes,cloud-precipitation distributions and vertical structures by using ground-and space-based multiplatform,multisensor instruments and the effect of the cloud system in the TP on the downstream weather.The results show that the form drag related to the topography,land-atmosphere momentum and scalar fluxes is an important part of the parameterization process.The sensible heat flux decreased especially in the central and northern TP caused by the decrease in wind speeds and the differences in the ground-air temperatures.Observations show that the cloud and precipitation over the TP have a strong diurnal variation.Studies also show the compressed-air column in the troposphere by the higher-altitude terrain of the TP makes particles inside clouds vary at a shorter distance in the vertical direction than those in the non-plateau area so that precipitation intensity over the TP is usually small with short duration,and the vertical structure of the convective precipitation over the TP is obviously different from that in other regions.In addition,the influence of the TP on severe weather downstream is preliminarily understood from the mechanism.It is necessary to use model simulations and observation techniques to reveal the difference between cloud precipitation in the TP and non-plateau areas in order to understand the cloud microphysical parameters over the TP and the processes of the land boundary layer affecting cloud,precipitation and weather in the downstream regions.Yunfei Fu Yaoming Ma Lei Zhong Yuanjian Yang Xueliang Guo Chenghai Wang Xiaofeng Xu Kun Yang Xiangde Xu Liping Liu Guangzhou Fan Yueqing Li Donghai Wang 2020National Science Review2020,7,3:10
12MOTION VELOCITY SMOOTH LINK IN HIGH SPEED MACHINING显示文摘To deal with over-shooting and gouging in high speed machining,a novel approach for velocity smooth link is proposed. Considering discrete tool path,cubic spline curve fitting is used to find dangerous points,and according to spatial geometric properties of tool path and the kinematics theory,maximum optimal velocities at dangerous points are obtained. Based on method of velocity control characteristics stored in control system,a fast algorithm for velocity smooth link is analyzed and formulated. 13Radiomics for the detection of microvascular invasion in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common primary liver cancer,accounting for about 90%of liver cancer cases.It is currently the fifth most common cancer in the world and the third leading cause of cancer-related mortality.Moreover,recurrence of HCC is common.Microvascular invasion(MVI)is a major factor associated with recurrence in postoperative HCC.It is difficult to evaluate MVI using traditional imaging modalities.Currently,MVI is assessed primarily through pathological and immunohistochemical analyses of postoperative tissue samples.Needle biopsy is the primary method used to confirm MVI diagnosis before surgery.As the puncture specimens represent just a small part of the tumor,and given the heterogeneity of HCC,biopsy samples may yield false-negative results.Radiomics,an emerging,powerful,and non-invasive tool based on various imaging modalities,such as computed tomography,magnetic resonance imaging,ultrasound,and positron emission tomography,can predict the HCC-MVI status preoperatively by delineating the tumor and/or the regions at a certain distance from the surface of the tumor to extract the image features.Although positive results have been reported for radiomics,its drawbacks have limited its clinical translation.This article reviews the application of radiomics,based on various imaging modalities,in preoperative evaluation of HCC-MVI and explores future research directions that facilitate its clinical translation.Kun Lv Xin Cao Peng Du Jun-Yan Fu Dao-Ying Geng Jun Zhang 2022World Journal of Gastroenterology2022,28,20:9
14Effect of Combined Application of Organic Fertilizer and Chemical Fertilizer in Different Ratios on Growth,Yield and Quality of Fluecured Tobacco显示文摘The effect of different ratio of organic and inorganic fertilizers on the growth and the yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco was studied.Using randomized blocks design,the data of the test materials K326 were analyzed by using variance analysis,significance test and other methods.The release efficiency of organic fertilizer in the soil was slower,and the effect of organic fertilizer on the growth of tobacco plants was worse than that of chemical fertilizers,and under 25% organic fertilizer + 75% chemical fertilizer treatment,the quality of the fluecured tobacco was good.Under the treatment of 50% organic fertilizer + 50% chemical fertilizer,the production of flue-cured tobacco was high and the ratio of first-class tobacco was high.It is suggested that the organic fertilizer application ratio should be 25%-50% in the agricultural production.Bing LIANG Kun HUANG Yali FU Hongguang LI Chi WANG Xiaotian ZHONG Qinghua LU Chengxiao HU 2017Asian Agricultural Research2017,9,12:9

17Genome-wide variants of Eurasian facial shape differentiation and a prospective model of DNA based face prediction显示文摘It is a long-standing question as to which genes define the characteristic facial features among different ethnic groups. In this study, we use Uyghurs, an ancient admixed population to query the genetic bases why Europeans and Han Chinese look different. Facial traits were analyzed based on high-dense 3D facial images; numerous biometric spaces were examined for divergent facial features between European and Han Chinese, ranging from inter-landmark distances to dense shape geometrics. Genome-wide association studies(GWAS) were conducted on a discovery panel of Uyghurs. Six significant loci were identified, four of which, rs1868752, rs118078182, rs60159418 at or near UBASH3B, COL23A1, PCDH7 and rs17868256 were replicated in independent cohorts of Uyghurs or Southern Han Chinese. 18Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Lung Cancer Patients显示文摘The prevalence of malnutrition is high among oncology patients in China. Although the Patient- Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is widely recognized as an important nutritional assessment tool, it has not been validated for Chinese cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to conduct an analysis of nutrition screening and assessment data to validate the Chinese version of the PG-SGA in Chinese patients with lung cancer. This was an observational, cross-sectional study of 2,000 consecutive adult patients with lung cancer treated at several tertiary hospitals in China. Anthropometric and patient descriptive data were collected. The PG-SGA generated a score for the nutritional risk and a global rating for the nutritional status. The internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity were evaluated, and a known-groups comparison and principal component analyses were conducted to evaluate the reliability and validity of the PG-SGA. The known-groups comparison demonstrated the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate lung cancer patients of different nutritional and body mass index (BMI) groups. A confirmatory factor analysis supported the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. In terms of the internal and external consistency, the PG-SGA demonstrated intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC) up to 0.987. Alternative form validity was also demonstrated between Box 4 of the PG-SGA and the Karnofsky Performance Status score, with excellent external consistency (r = 0.972, P < 0.001). The construct validity was supported, and selected questionnaire dimensions were evident in the principal component analysis. Significant Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were demonstrated. The Chinese version of the PG-SGA demonstrated significant reliability and sufficient exploratory properties to support its validity. It seems to be a valid tool that can be used to access the nutritional status of Chinese lung cancer patients. 19Microstructures,micro-segregation and solidification path of directionally solidified Ti-45Al-5Nb alloy显示文摘To investigate the effect of solidification parameters on the solidification path and microstructure evolution of Ti-45Al-5Nb(at.%) alloy, Bridgman-type directional solidification and thermodynamics calculations were performed on the alloy. The microstructures, micro-segregation and solidification path were investigated.The results show that the β phase is the primary phase of the alloy at growth rates of 5-20 μm·s^(-1) under the temperature gradients of 15-20 K·mm^(-1), and the primary phase is transformed into an α phase at relatively higher growth rates(V >20 μm·s^(-1)). The mainly S-segregation and β-segregation can be observed in Ti-45Al-5Nb alloy at a growth rate of 10 μm·s^(-1) under a temperature gradient of 15 K·mm^(-1). The increase of temperature gradient to 20 K·mm^(-1) can eliminate β-segregation, but has no obvious effect on S-segregation. The results also show that 5 at.% Nb addition can expand the β phase region, increase the melting point of the alloy and induce the solidification path to become complicated.
