4Realization of warm white light emitting in single phase Gd(P_(x)V_(1−x))O_(4):y at% Sm^(3+),1 at% Bi^(3+) phosphor显示文摘A series of single phase,warm white light emitting phosphors,Gd(P_(x)V_(1−x))O_(4):y at%Sm^(3+),with 1 at%Bi^(3+) doping concentration were synthesized by high temperature solid state method in this work.The experimental results indicate broadband cyan emission of Bi^(3+)and characteristic orange-red emission of Sm^(3+)can be effectively tuned by changing the ratios of PO^(3−)_(4)/VO^(3−)_(4) in Gd(P_(x)V_(1−x))O_(4):1 at%Sm^(3+),1 at%Bi^(3+),and the energy transfer process among VO^(3−)_(4),Sm^(3+),Bi^(3+) also can be adjusted.Based on this,warm white light emitting can be realized by further optimizing the doping concentration of Sm^(3+) in the phosphors.At 423 K,the PL intensity of Gd(P_(0.7)V_(0.3))O_(4):2 at%Sm^(3+),1 at%Bi^(3+) remains~84.3%of the initial value at 293 K,while the measured quantum efficiency is 67.8%.EL spectrum analysis results of the fabricated white light emitting diode(wLED)based on a 310 nm UV-chip and Gd(P_(0.7)V_(0.3))O4:2 at%Sm^(3+),1 at%Bi^(3+)phosphors imply low correlated color temperature(3132 K)and appropriate color-rending index(R_(a)=82.7).These results demonstrate that Gd(P_(0.7)V_(0.3))O4:2 at%Sm^(3+),1 at%Bi^(3+)is a good candidate for manufacturing UV-activated warm white light emitting diodes.Chao Dou Yanzhen Yin Fei Zheng Zhen Wang Shijia Sun Chen Hu Yang Che Bing Teng Degao Zhong 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,4:2

8A joint call for actions to advance taxonomy in China显示文摘Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and ecological functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their ecosystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. 10Effect of Iodine Supplementation on Iodine Nutrition and Thyroid Function in Pregnant Women:A Cross-Sectional Study显示文摘This study aimed to describe the situation of iodine supplementation in pregnant women,and to explore the effects of such supplementation measures on iodine nutrition and thyroid function.Pregnant women in seven provinces were selected by multi-stage sampling.Basic information was collected and a food frequency questionnaire was administered.Salt iodine,urinary iodine,and thyroid function were determined.Subjects were divided into five groups based on iodine supplementation.For pregnant women,the median urinary iodine concentration(MUIC)in seven provinces was 164.3μg/L,and thyroid nodules(15.75%)were a common thyroid disease.Gestation,iodine supplementation,etc.impacted iodine nutrition and thyroid function.Compared with other groups,simultaneous iodine supplementation with iodized salt,iodine-rich foods,and iodine preparations(the ISFP group)was the most effective approach for improving iodine nutrition;supplementation via iodine-rich foods only showed the lowest prevalence of TPOAb-positive(5.48%)and TgAb-positive(1.37%)diseases.In addition,pregnant women with MUIC in the 150–249μg/L range showed higher rates of TPOAb-positive(13.78%)disease and sub-hypothyroidism(5.38%)compared to those with MUIC in the 100–149μg/L range;however,goiter showed the opposite trend.Our results indicate that iodine supplementation needs vary from person to person.SUN Rong QIAN Ting Ting LIU Lan Chun ZHAO Meng CHE Wen Jing ZHANG Ling LI Wei Dong JIA Qing Zhen WANG Jian Hui LI Jin Shu CHEN Zhi Hui ZHANG Bi Yun LIU Peng 2022Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2022,35,7:1
11Relationship between Dining Place, Iodine Source, and Iodine Nutrition in School-Age Children: A Cross-Sectional Study in China显示文摘Objective This study assesses the impact of iodine-rich processed foods and dining places on the iodine nutritional status of children.Methods School-aged children(SAC) in seven provinces in China were selected by school-based multistage sampling. Urinary iodine, salt iodine, and thyroid volume(TVOL) were determined. Questionnaires were used to investigate dining places and iodine-rich processed foods. The water iodine was from the2017 national survey. Multi-factor regression analysis was used to find correlations between variables.Results Children ate 78.7% of their meals at home, 15.1% at school canteens, and 6.1% at other places.The percentage of daily iodine intake from water, iodized salt, iodine-rich processed foods, and cooked food were 1.0%, 79.2%, 1.5%, and 18.4%, respectively. The salt iodine was correlated with the urinary iodine and TVOL, respectively(r = 0.999 and-0.997, P < 0.05). The iodine intake in processed foods was weakly correlated with the TVOL(r = 0.080, P < 0.01). Non-iodized salt used in processed foods or diets when eating out had less effect on children’s iodine nutrition status.Conclusion Iodized salt remains the primary source of daily iodine intake of SAC, and processed food has less effect on iodine nutrition. 14Distance-controllable and direction-steerable opto-conveyor for targeting delivery显示文摘Opto-conveyors have attracted widespread interest in various fields because of their non-invasive and non-contact delivery of micro/nanoparticles.However,the flexible control of the delivery distance and the dynamic steering of the delivery direction,although very desirable in all-optical manipulation,have not yet been achieved by optoconveyors.Here,using a simple and cost-effective scheme of an elliptically focused laser beam obliquely irradiated on a substrate,a direction-steerable and distance-controllable opto-conveyor for the targeting delivery of microparticles is implemented.Theoretically,in the proposed scheme of the opto-conveyor,the transverse and longitudinal resultant forces of the optical gradient force and the optical scattering force result in the transverse confinement and the longitudinal transportation of microparticles,respectively.In this study,it is experimentally shown that the proposed opto-conveyor is capable of realizing the targeting delivery for microparticles.Additionally,the delivery distance of microparticles can be flexibly and precisely controlled by simply adjusting the irradiation time.By simply rotating the cylindrical lens,the proposed opto-conveyor is capable of steering the delivery direction flexibly within a large range of azimuthal angles,from-75°to 75°.This study also successfully demonstrated the real-time dynamic steering of the delivery direction from-45°to 45°with the dynamical rotation of the cylindrical lens.Owing to its simplicity,flexibility,and controllability,the proposed method is capable of creating new opportunities in bioassays as well as in drug delivery.Zhen Che Wenguo Zhu Yaoming Huang Yu Zhang Linqing Zhuo Pengpeng Fan Zhibin Li Huadan Zheng Wenjin Long Wentao Qiu Yunhan Luo Jun Zhang Jinghua Ge Jianhui Yu Zhe Chen 2020Photonics Research2020,8,7:1

16Multi-Omics-Guided Discovery of Omicsynins Produced by Streptomyces sp.1647:Pseudo-Tetrapeptides Active Against Influenza A Viruses and Coronavirus HCoV-229E显示文摘Many microorganisms have mechanisms that protect cells against attack from viruses.The fermentation components of Streptomyces sp.1647 exhibit potent anti-influenza A virus(IAV)activity.This strain was isolated from soil in southern China in the 1970s,but the chemical nature of its antiviral substance(s)has remained unknown until now.We used an integrated multi-omics strategy to identify the antiviral agents from this streptomycete.The antibiotics and Secondary Metabolite Analysis Shell(antiSMASH)analysis of its genome sequence revealed 38 biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs)for secondary metabolites,and the target BGCs possibly responsible for the production of antiviral components were narrowed down to three BGCs by bioactivity-guided comparative transcriptomics analysis.Through bioinformatics analysis and genetic manipulation of the regulators and a biosynthetic gene,cluster 36 was identified as the BGC responsible for the biosynthesis of the antiviral compounds.Bioactivity-based molecular networking analysis of mass spectrometric data from different recombinant strains illustrated that the antiviral compounds were a class of structural analogues.Finally,18 pseudo-tetrapeptides with an internal ureido linkage,omicsynins A1–A6,B1–B6,and C1–C6,were identified and/or isolated from fermentation broth.Among them,11 compounds(omicsynins A1,A2,A6,B1–B3,B5,B6,C1,C2,and C6)are new compounds.Omicsynins B1–B4 exhibited potent antiviral activity against IAV with the 50%inhibitory concentration(IC_(50))of approximately 1μmol·L^(-1)and a selectivity index(SI)ranging from 100 to 300.Omicsynins B1–B4 also showed significant antiviral activity against human coronavirus HCoV-229E.By integrating multi-omics data,we discovered a number of novel antiviral pseudo-tetrapeptides produced by Streptomyces sp.1647,indicating that the secondary metabolites of microorganisms are a valuable source of novel antivirals.Hongmin Sun Xingxing Li Minghua Chen Ming Zhong Yihua Li Kun Wang Yu Du Xin Zhen Rongmei Gao Yexiang Wu Yuanyuan Shi Liyan Yu Yongsheng Che Yuhuan Li Jian-Dong Jiang Bin Hong Shuyi Si 2022Engineering2022,,9:0

19How temperature and hydrostatic pressure impact organic room temperature phosphorescence from H-aggregation of planar triarylboranes and the application in bioimaging显示文摘Highly efficient persistent organic room temperature phosphorescence(RTP) has attracted increasing attention because of promising applications in fields of chemical sensors, optoelectronic devices, information security, and bioimaging, etc. Wherein,the crystal engineering of H-aggregation offers stabilization for long-lived triplet exciton for RTP, but the related research is rare because of the scarcity of ideal phosphorescent H-aggregate. Herein, we designed planar tricoordinate organoboron derivatives with molecular arrangement in ideal H-aggregation. The integration of Br atom can largely enhance RTP efficiency through increasing SOC effect, while the antiparallel molecular arrangement causes annihilation of triplet exciton. Thanks to good selfassembly property, their RTP can even be observed in PMMA matrix with doping ratio of merely 1 wt%. We further found that the cryogenic temperature contributes to stabilizing triplet exciton in H-aggregation, leading to red-shifted phosphorescence. By applying high hydrostatic pressure, the phosphorescence was largely enhanced and redshifted, demonstrating the crucial role of H-aggregation on RTP property. 20Bacterial diversity in Arctic marine sediment determined by culture-dependent and-independent approaches显示文摘Bacterial diversity in surface sediment from the Arctic Ocean was investigated by culture-dependent and-independent approaches. Conventional culture-dependent techniques revealed 11 strains based on their distinct morphological characteristics on marine Zobell 2216E agar plates. Phylogenetic analysis showed that these isolates belonged to three major lineages of the Bacteria, γ-proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes and Actinobacteria, and that they included 10 genera. Most isolates were psychrotrophic, and NaCl was not necessary for their growth. Furthermore, they exhibited activity of at least one extracellular hydrolytic enzyme at 4°C and had various abilities to assimilate carbon sources. A total of 67 phylotypes were detected among 142 clones based on the 16S rRNA library of the total community DNA and grouped into nine major lineages of bacteria. Phylotypes affiliated with γ-, δ- and ε-proteobacteria accounted for 36.7%, 21.8% and 16.9% of the total clones, respectively.
