3Leaching Effect of Organic Acids on Heavy Metal Contaminated Soil显示文摘With the contamination of soil heavy metals becoming more and more serious,remediation has become a hot issue,and it is of great significance to study the remediation effects of heavy metal contaminated soil. The heavy metal contaminated soil was leached with water,acetic acid and citric acid,and the pH value of the soil after leaching was adjusted with 2% lime water. Finally,the pH value and conductivity of the soil leacheate were determined. The results showed that the best leacheate was citric acid for the remediation of soil contaminated with heavy metals Cu,Cd and Pb,and the optimum leaching concentration was 1. 0,0. 4,0. 7 mol/L,respectively. For the remediation of soil contaminated with Zn,the best leacheate was acetic acid,and the optimal leaching concentration was 1 mol/L. The leaching effect of lime water on heavy metal contaminated soil was positively correlated with the concentration of organic acid,that is,the leaching effect on heavy metals was better at stronger acidic condition. 5Further understanding of an uncommon disease of combined small cell lung cancer: clinical features and prognostic factors of 114 cases显示文摘Objective: Combined small cell lung cancer(C-SCLC) is an uncommon subgroup of small cell lung cancer(SCLC) and few clinical data can be referred.Our study is to investigate the clinical features and prognostic factors of C-SCLC, as well as the role of multimodality treatment.Methods: Between January 2004 and December 2012, patients with histologically diagnosed C-SCLC were retrospectively analyzed.The survivals were evaluated with the Kaplan-Meier method.Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to evaluate potential prognostic factors.Results: One hundred and fourteen patients were enrolled, with a median age of 59(range: 20-79) years old.The most common combined component was squamous cell carcinoma(52.6%).Among these patients, the disease was stage Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ in 9.6%, 19.3%, 46.5% and 24.6% of the patients, respectively.Eighty patients(70.2%)received at least two of the three modalities containing chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.The median follow-up was 32.5 months.The median time of overall survival(OS) was 26.2 months.On univariate analysis,smoking(P=0.029), Karnofsky performance score(KPS) <80(P=0.000), advanced TNM stage(P=0.000), no surgery(P=0.010), positive resection margin(P=0.000), positive lymph nodes ≥4(P=0.000), positive lymph node ratio >10%(P=0.000) and non-multimodality treatment(P=0.004) were associated with poor OS.Multivariate analysis confirmed that smoking, advanced TNM stage, positive resection margin and positive lymph nodes ratio>10% were poor prognostic features.Conclusions: C-SCLC has a relatively early stage and good prognosis, which may due to the underestimated diagnosis in non-surgical patients.Multimodality therapy is recommended, especially for limited disease.Smoking,advanced TNM stage, positive resection margin and positive lymph nodes ratio >10% are poor prognostic factors.Yu Men Zhouguang Hui Jun Liang Qinfu Feng Dongfu Chen Hongxing Zhang Zefen Xiao Zongmei Zhou Weibo Yin Luhua Wang 2016Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2016,28,5:2

11Sustainability of SARS-CoV-2 Induced Humoral Immune Responses in COVID-19 Patients from Hospitalization to Convalescence Over Six Months显示文摘Understanding the persistence of antibody in convalescent COVID-19 patients may help to answer the current major concerns such as the risk of reinfection,the protection period of vaccination and the possibility of building an active herd immunity.This retrospective cohort study included 172 COVID-19 patients who were hospitalized in Wuhan.A total of404 serum samples were obtained over six months from hospitalization to convalescence.Antibodies in the specimens were quantitatively analyzed by the capture chemiluminescence immunoassays(CLIA).All patients were positive for the anti-SARS-Co V-2 Ig M/Ig G at the onset of COVID-19 symptoms,and the Ig G antibody persisted in all the patients during the convalescence.However,only approximately 25%of patients can detect the Ig M antibodies,Ig M against N protein(NIg M)and receptor binding domain of S protein(RBD-Ig M)at the 27 th week.The titers of Ig M,N-Ig M and RBD-Ig M reduced to 16.7%,17.6%and 15.2%of their peak values respectively.In contrast,the titers of Ig G,N-Ig G and RBD-Ig G peaked at 4–5 th week and reduced to 85.9%,62.6%and 87.2%of their peak values respectively at the end of observation.Dynamic behavior of antibodies and their correlation in age,gender and severity groups were investigated.In general,the COVID-19 antibody was sustained at high levels for over six months in most of the convalescent patients.Only a few patients with antibody reducing to an undetectable level which needs further attention.The humoral immune response against SARS-Co V-2 infection in COVID-19 patients exhibits a typical dynamic of acquired immunity.Yang Zheng Qing Zhang Ashaq Ali Ke Li Nan Shao Xiaoli Zhou Zhiqin Ye Xiaomin Chen Shanshan Cao Jing Cui Juan Zhou Dianbing Wang Baidong Hou Min Li Mengmeng Cui Lihua Deng Xinyi Sun Qian Zhang Qinfang Yang Yong li Hui Wang Yake Lei Bo Yu Yegang Cheng Xiaolin Tong Dong Men Xian-En Zhang 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,5:1
12Application of a UPLC–MS/MS method to the protein binding study of TM-2 in rat, human and beagle dog plasma显示文摘TM-2 known as a potential antitumor drug is a novel semi-synthetic taxane derivative. As drug–protein interactions contribute to insights into pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties, we elucidated the binding of TM-2 to plasma protein. In this study, a simple, rapid and reliable method was developed and validated employing equilibrium dialysis for the separation of bound and unbound drugs and ultra-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC–MS/MS) for the quantitation. Protein binding reached equilibrium within 24 h of incubation at 37 °C. After liquid–liquid extraction with methyl tert-butyl ether, the samples were separated on Thermo Syncronis UPLCsC18(2.1 mm 50 mm, 1.7 mm), and acquisition of mass spectrometric data was performed in multiple reaction monitoring(MRM) mode via positive electrospray ionization. The assay was linear over the concentration rang of 5–2000 ng/m L. The intra- and inter-day precisions were 0.1%–14.8%, and the accuracy was from 6.4% to 7.0%. This assay has been successfully applied to a protein binding study of TM-2 in rat, human and beagle dog plasma. TM-2 showed high protein binding of 81.4% 7 6.5%(rat),87.9% 7 3.6%(human) and 79.4% 7 4.0%(beagle dog). 13Landscape genetic analyses reveal host association of mitochondrial haplotypes in the Asian corn borer,Ostrinia furnacalis显示文摘Crop expansion often leads to high pest pressure.These pests may have fitness trade-offs related to host use,and some host-associated genotypes may benefit and increase in frequency.However,evidence concerning the effect of host availability on spatial distribution and frequency of mitochondrial haplotypes is scarce.We studied genetic variation of the Asian corn borer,Ostrinia furnacalis(Guenée),across a large area during 2 years(2016 and 2017).Mitochondrial sequence data were obtained from 530 individuals collected from 79 locations in Shandong Province,China.In total,155 haplotypes were found based on the combined cytochrome oxidase subunit 1(COI)and COII genes.Three haplotypes(H2,H12,and H23)were dominant,whereas most of the other haplotypes occurred in low frequency.A haplotype network showed that the 155 haplotypes can be grouped into three clusters.Haplotype clusters seemed to be randomly distributed.The frequency of H12(in Cluster 1)was positively correlated with maize crop proportion,but negatively correlated with other crops(primarily vegetables,oilseed crops,and cotton)at all spatial scales(1-,3-,and 5-km radius).Cluster 2 had haplotype H23,and this cluster was negatively correlated with semi-natural habitats.Cluster 3 had no dominant haplotype and was not affected by landscape factors.We conclude that H12 may be a maize-associated haplotype.Further study is needed to verify the possibility that the carriers of this haplotype may possess some fitness trade-offs.Our study highlights the importance of host availability in O.furnacalis haplotype distribution and frequency.Zhaoke Dong Chao Li Qingqing Zhang Lili Li Zengbin Lu Fang Ouyang Yingying Song Yi Yu Xingyuan Men 2021Insect Science2021,28,4:1

15Prediction of Eight Earings in Deep Drawing of 5754O Aluminum Alloy Sheet显示文摘Earings appear easily during deep drawing of cylindrical parts owing to the anisotropic properties of materials.However,current methods cannot fully utilize the mechanical properties of material,and the number of earings obtained differ with the simulation methods.In order to predict the eight-earing problem in the cylindrical deep drawing of 5754O aluminum alloy sheet,a new method of combining the yield stress and anisotropy index(r-value)to solve the parameters of the Hil 148 yield function is proposed.The general formula for the yield stress and r-value in any direction is presented.Taking a 5754O aluminum alloy sheet as an example in this study,the deformation area in deep drawing is divided into several equal sectorial regions based on the anisotropy.The parameters of the Hill48 yield function are solved based on the yield stress and r-value simultaneously for the corresponding deformation area.Finite element simulations of deep drawing based on new and existing methods are carried out for comparison with experimental results.This study provides a convenient and reliable way to predict the formation of eight earings in the deep drawing process,which is expected to be useful in industrial applications.The results of this study lay the foundation for the optimization of the cylindrical deep drawing process,including the optimization of the blank shape to eliminate earing defects on the final product,which is of great importance in the actual production process.Haibo Wang Mingliang Men Yu Yan Min Wan Qiang Li 2019Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2019,32,5:1

18Factors affecting rate of stroke-related death in elderly male military population A 23-year cohort study of 1268 cases in Xi'an,China显示文摘The study is the first long-term cohort study examining stroke and its subtypes among a population of Chinese elderly male retired military veterans.We reported on a 23-year cohort study examining stroke in 1 268 elderly male patients living in Xi'an,China since 1987.The stroke-related mortality rate in this cohort was 361.50/1 × 106 per year.Cerebral hemorrhage was the dominant cause of death,with 28 cases of fatal cerebral infarction and 49 cases of fatal cerebral hemorrhage among 77 stroke-related deaths.Independent risk factors for stroke mortality included age,blood pressure,smoking,body mass index,family history of hypertension,past medical history of stroke,hypertension and hyperlipidemia.Among them,ischemic stroke mortality correlated with age,smoking,family history of hypertension and past medical history of stroke,while hemorrhagic stroke was related to blood pressure,body mass index and past medical history of hypertension.Our results indicated that maintaining appropriate levels of blood pressure and body mass,smoking cessation and prevention of hyperlipidemia can reduce the risk of stroke-related death in elderly males who are retired from military service.Yanhua Li Yu Sun Xiaoyong Sai Yao He Qiang Wu Yongping Yan Ke Men Liangshou Li 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,13:0

20Specimen size effect on the fracture energy of architected stretchable materials显示文摘Architected stretchable materials with well-organized microarchitectures evolve very rapidly due to their potential in customizing mechanical properties and achieving exotic functions.In many applications,the architected stretchable materials are required to sustain large deformation,and their fracture is size-dependent.However,the size effect on the fracture of architected stretchable materials is still elusive.Here,we study this issue by experiment and finite element calculation.It is found that the fracture energy of architected stretchable materials increases with the specimen size ratio,H/h,within a range.When H/h reaches a transition ratio,Rt,the fracture energy approaches a plateau.This transition ratio differentiates the size-dependent and size-independent fracture behavior of architected stretchable materials.The mechanical properties of constituent material only have a minor effect on the transition ratio.The degree of constraint and stress concentration at the node,which are affected by the geometry of the unit-cell,dominate the specimen size effect.The result gives a practical guidance in choosing the specimen size to measure the steady state fracture energy of this class of materials.This work provides insights into the fracture of architected stretchable materials and design for fractureresistant architected stretchable devices.Xiao Li Libo Men Yilin Yu Zhaoyang Hou Zhengjin Wang 2023International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials2023,14,4:0
