Geometric Approach for Kinematic Analysis of a Class of 2-DOF Rotational Parallel Manipulators显示文摘Euler angles are commonly used as the orientation representation of most two degrees of freedom(2-DOF) rotational parallel mechanisms(RPMs),as a result, the coupling of two angle parameters leads to complexity of kinematic model of this family of mechanisms. While a simple analytical kinematic model with respect to those parameters representing the geometrical characteristics of the mechanism,is very helpful to improve the performance of RPMs.In this paper,a new geometric kinematic modeling approach based on the concept of instantaneous single-rotation-angle is proposed and used for the 2-DOF RPMs with symmetry in a homo-kinetic plane. To authors' knowledge, this is a new contribution to parallel mechanisms.By means of this method, the forwards kinematics of 2-DOF RPMs is derived in a simple way,and three cases i.e.4-4R mechanism(Omni-wrist III),spherical five-bar one,and 3-RSR&1-SS one demonstrate the validity of the proposed geometric method. In addition,a novel 2-DOF RPM architecture with virtual center-of-motion is presented by aid of the same method. The result provides a useful tool for simplifying the model and extending the application of the RPMs. | DONG Xin YU Jingjun CHEN Bin ZONG Guanghua | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,2: | 11
Numeration and type synthesis of 3-DOF orthogonal translational parallel manipulators显示文摘Low-degree-of-freedom (Low-DOF) parallel manipulators (PMs) have drawn extensive interests, particularly in type synthesis in which two main formal approaches were established by using the reciprocal screw system theory and Lie group theory. This paper aims at numeration and type synthesis of orthogonal translational parallel manipulators (OTPMs) by resorting to an integration of the group- based method and graphical representation of the topology. For this purpose, the concept of Cartesian DOF-characteristic matrix, orig- inated from displacement subgroup and displacement submanifold, is proposed. A new approach based on the combination of the atlas of Cartesian DOF-characteristic matrix and the displacement group-theoretic method is addressed for both exhaustive classi cation and type synthesis of OTPMs. The proposed approach is prone to construct an orthogonal structure and is easy to realize the complete clas- si cation and exhaustive enumeration of this class of low-DOF PMs. | Jingjun Yu Jian S. | 4 | A unified approach to type synthesis of both rigid and flexure parallel mechanisms显示文摘Type synthesis of both rigid and compliant parallel mechanisms has become a hot issue in the field of mechanisms and robotics research in recent years. A unified approach to type synthesis of the two classes of mechanisms, however, has not been referred and investigated up to date. Based on the state-of-art analysis for several major type synthesis approaches related to rigid and compliant mechanisms, respectively, it proves feasible to establish a unified methodology for type synthesis of these two classes of mechanisms. That is a synthesis philosophy in terms of the hierarchy mapping between mathematic, physical, and mechanical building blocks in the framework of screw theory, as addressed in this paper. The key point of the proposed method lies in establishing the mapping among three different building blocks (i.e. geometric building block, kinematic or constraint building block, and mechanical building block). As a result, it makes the whole type synthesis process simple and visible. By using the proposed method, two examples are taken to verify the effectiveness for the type synthesis of both rigid and flexure mechanisms. The content of this paper may provide a theoretical frame for constructing a visualized algorithm or software about the unified type synthesis (or conceptual design) of both rigid and flexure parallel mechanisms. | YU JingJun LI ShouZhong PEI Xu BI ShuSheng ZONG GuangHua | 2011 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,5: | 8
Novel Annulus-shaped Flexure Pivot in Rotation Application and Dimensionless Design显示文摘Large-deflection flexure pivot is widely used in high precision rotation application, but there are less flexure configurations and simple and convenient design methods. This paper presents a novel large-deflection curved-compliant annulus-shaped flexure pivot composed of six curved beam flexure elements. It can offer more than 10°angular stroke theoretically. Firstly, main-motion pseudo-rigid-body method is introduced to establish the flexure pivot model. Although pseudo-rigid-body method can be used to analyze the large-deformation flexure pivot performance, the method is definitely a laborious and difficult task for designing this novel flexure pivot. In order to simply the designing process, dimension-design graphs based on the parametric models and finite element analysis is presented. Using the dimension-design method as a tool, the designers can determine the optimal geometry rapidly, based on the stiffness and rotation demands of an annulus-shaped flexure pivot. Finally, dimension-design graph examples are given whose primary design aims to achieve a rotation stroke of annulus-shaped flexure pivot. The finite element analysis results show that the relative designing error between anticipative rotation stroke and graph design result is less than 4%. The dimensionless method used in designing annulus-shaped flexure pivot can reduce design process in both time and complexity. The novel annulus-shaped flexure pivot and dimension-design method are helpful supplement to configuration and design method of large-deflection flexure pivot. | BI Shusheng ZHAO Shanshan SUN Minglei YU Jingjun ZONG Guanghua | 2009 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2009,22,6: | 7
Integrated lithium niobate single-mode lasers by the Vernier effect显示文摘Microcavity lasers based on erbium-doped lithium niobate on insulator(LNOI),which are key devices for LNOI integrated photonics, have attracted significant attention recently. In this study,we report the realization of a C-band single-mode laser using the Vernier effect in two coupled erbium-doped LNOI microrings with different radii under the pump of a 980-nm continuous laser. The laser, operating stably over a large range of pumping power, has a pump threshold of about 200μW and a side-mode suppression ratio exceeding 26 dB.The high-performance LNOI single-mode laser will promote the development of lithium niobate integrated photonics. | Ru Zhang Chen Yang ZhenZhong Hao Di Jia Qiang Luo DaHuai Zheng HongDe Liu XuanYi Yu Feng Gao Fang Bo YongFa Kong GuoQuan Zhang JingJun Xu | 2021 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,9: | 4
Modeling of Cross-Spring Pivots Subjected to Generalized Planar Loads显示文摘Cross-spring pivots, formed by crossing two identical flexural beams at their midpoint, have been broadly used in precision engineering and aerospace fields. Many researches have been conducted on modeling and analysis of cross-spring pivots. However the influence of application position and magnitude of the external loads on the load-rotation and parasitic motion characteristics has not yet been discussed. In order to reveal the effect of the external loads, this paper develops the accurate load-rotation and center shift models of cross-spring pivots, with generalized planar loads applied including bending moment, horizontal and vertical forces. Firstly, by using the energy method, the load-displacement models of the pivot are derived with the assumption of small rotational angles. Based on the models, the influence of generalized planar loads on the load-rotation relationship is discussed, which shows that both application position and magnitude of the vertical and horizontal forces influence the load-rotation behaviors. Then the accurate center shift expressions of the pivot with generalized planar loads are developed, which shows that the rotational angle is the dominant term for both components of the center shift while the vertical and horizontal forces are small. Finally, the accuracy of the proposed model is validated by finite element analysis(FEA). Comparing the model data with the results obtained from FEA, the relative error of the load-rotation is less than 6% even if the rotational angle reaches 20°; the relative errors of the two components of center shift are less than 5% and 10% respectively when the rotational angle reaches 10°. The proposed model and analytical conclusions can be used to analyze and preliminarily design the compliant mechanisms containing cross-spring pivots. | BI Shusheng YAO Yanbin ZHAO Shanshan YU Jingjun | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,6: | 4
Hierarchical coupling effect in hollow Ni/NiFe2O4-CNTs microsphere via spray-drying for enhanced oxygen evolution electrocatalysis显示文摘Design and fabrication of cost-effective transition metal and their oxides-based nanocomposites are of paramount significance for metal-air batteries and water-splitting.However,the traditional optimized designs for nanostructure are complicated,low-efficient and underperform for wide-scale applications.Herein,a novel hierarchical framework of hollow Ni/NiFe2O4-CNTs compositemicrosphere forcibly-assembled by zero-dimensional(OD)Ni/NiFo204 nanoparticle(<16 nm)and one-dimensional(1D)self-supporting CNTs was fabricated successfully.Benefitted from the unique nanostructure, such monohybrids can achieve remarkable oxygen evolution reaction(OER)performance in alkaline media with a low overpotential and superior durability, which exceeds most of the commercial catalysts based on IrO/RuO2 or other non-noble metal nanomaterials. The enhanced OER performance of Ni/NiFe2OA-CNTs composite is mainly ascribed to the increased catalytic activity and the optimized conductivity induced by the effects of strong hierarchical coupling and charge transfers between CNTs and Ni/NiFe204 nanoparticles. These effects are greatly boosted by the polarized heterojunction interfaces confirmed by electron holography. The density functional theory(DFT)calculation indicates the epitaxial Ni further enriches the intrinsic electrons contents of NiFe204 and thus accelerates absorption/desorption kinetics of OER intermediates. This work hereby paves a facile route to construct the hollow composite microsphere with excellent OER electrocatalytic activity based on non-noble metal oxide/CNTs. | Xuefeng Yu Guanyu Chen Yizhe Wang Jiwei Liu Ke Pei Yunhao Zhao Wenbin You Lei Wang Jie Zhang Linshen Xing Jingjun Ding Guangzhou Ding Min Wang Renchao Che | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,2: | 3
First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. We for the first time extended the limit to the m_(χ)<6 GeV/c^(2) region. | Yi Wang Zhi Zeng Qian Yue LiTao Yang KeJun Kang YuanJing Li Mehment Agartioglu HaiPeng An JianPing Chang JingHan Chen YunHua Chen JianPing Cheng Cheng Yi Chiang WenHan Dai Zhi Deng ChangHao Fang XinPing Geng Hui Gong QiuJu Guo XuYuan Guo HongJian He Li He ShengMing He JinWei Hu TuChen Huang HanXiong Huang HaiTao Jia LiPing Jia Xi Jiang HauBin Li JianMin Li Jin Li MingXuan Li RenMingJie Li Xia Li YuLan Li Bin Liao FongKay Lin ShinTed Lin ShuKui Liu YanDong Liu Yu Liu YuanYuan Liu ZhongZhi Liu Hao Ma YuCai Mao QiYuan Nie JinHua Ning Hui Pan NingChun Qi Jie Ren XiChao Ruan ChangSong Shang Vivek Sharma Ze She Lakhwinder Singh Monoj Kumar Singh TianXi Sun ChangJian Tang WeiYou Tang Yang Tian GuangFu Wang Li Wang Qing Wang Yu Chen Wang YunXiang Wang Zhen Wang Henry Tsz-King Wong ShiYong Wu YuCheng Wu HaoYang Xing Yin Xu Tao Xue YuLu Yan Nan Yi ChunXu Yu HaiJun Yu JianFeng Yue Ming Zeng BingTao Zhang Lei Zhang FengShou Zhang ZhenYu Zhang KangKang Zhao MingGang Zhao JiFang Zhou ZuYing Zhou JingJun Zhu | 2021 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,8: | 3

Porphyromonas gingivalis bacteremia increases the permeability of the blood-brain barrier via the Mfsd2a/Caveolin-1 mediated transcytosis pathway显示文摘Bacteremia induced by periodontal infection is an important factor for periodontitis to threaten general health. P. gingivalis DNA/virulence factors have been found in the brain tissues from patients with Alzheimer’s disease(AD). The blood-brain barrier(BBB) is essential for keeping toxic substances from entering brain tissues. However, the effect of P. gingivalis bacteremia on BBB permeability and its underlying mechanism remains unclear. In the present study, rats were injected by tail vein with P. gingivalis three times a week for eight weeks to induce bacteremia. An in vitro BBB model infected with P. gingivalis was also established. We found that the infiltration of Evans blue dye and Albumin protein deposition in the rat brain tissues were increased in the rat brain tissues with P. gingivalis bacteremia and P. gingivalis could pass through the in vitro BBB model. Caveolae were detected after P. gingivalis infection in BMECs both in vivo and in vitro. Caveolin-1(Cav-1) expression was enhanced after P. gingivalis infection.Downregulation of Cav-1 rescued P. gingivalis-enhanced BMECs permeability. We further found P. gingivalis-gingipain could be colocalized with Cav-1 and the strong hydrogen bonding between Cav-1 and arg-specific-gingipain(RgpA) were detected. Moreover, P. gingivalis significantly inhibited the major facilitator superfamily domain containing 2a(Mfsd2a) expression. Mfsd2a overexpression reversed P. gingivalis-increased BMECs permeability and Cav-1 expression. These results revealed that Mfsd2a/Cav-1 mediated transcytosis is a key pathway governing BBB BMECs permeability induced by P. gingivalis, which may contribute to P. gingivalis/virulence factors entrance and the subsequent neurological impairments. | Shuang Lei Jian Li Jingjun Yu Fulong Li Yaping Pan Xu Chen Chunliang Ma Weidong Zhao Xiaolin Tang | 2023 | International Journal of Oral Science2023,15,1: | 3
First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). | 13 | Design of Compliant Straight-line Mechanisms Using Flexural Joints显示文摘Straight-line compliant mechanisms are important building blocks to design a linear-motion stage, which is very useful in precision applications. However, only a few configurations of straight-line compliant mechanisms are applicable. To construct more kinds of them,an approach to design large-displacement straight-line flexural mechanisms with rotational flexural joints is proposed, which is based on a viewpoint that the straight-line motion is regarded as a compromise of rigid and compliant parasitic motion of a rotational flexural joint. An analytical design method based on the Taylor series expansion is proposed to quickly obtain an approximate solution. To illustrate and verify the proposed method, two kinds of flexural joints,cross-axis hinge and leaf-type isosceles-trapezoidal flexural(LITF)pivot are used to reconstruct straight-line flexural mechanisms.Their performances are obtained by analytic and FEA method respectively. The comparisons of the results show the accuracy of the approach. Both examples show that the proposed approach can convert a large-deflection flexural joint into approximate straight-line mechanism with a high linearity that is higher than 5 000within 5 mm displacement. This can lead to a new way to design, analyze or optimize straight-line flexure mechanisms. | PEI Xu YU Jingjun ZONG Guanghua BI Shusheng | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,1: | 3
Low threshold random lasing in dye-doped and strongly disordered chiral liquid crystals显示文摘Random lasing was experimentally investigated in pyrromethene 597-doped strongly disordered chiral liquid crystals (CLCs) composed of the nematic liquid crystal SLC1717 and the chiral agent CB15. The concentration of the chiral agent tuned the bandgap, and disordered CLC microdomains were achieved by fast quenching of the mixture from the isotropic to the cholesteric phase. Random lasing and band edge lasing were observed synchronously, and their behavior changed with the spectral location of the bandgap. The emission band for band edge lasing shifted with the change of the bandgap, while the emission band for random lasing remained practically constant. The results show that the threshold for random lasing sharply decreases if the CLC selective reflection band overlaps with the fluorescence peak of the dye molecules and if the band edge coincides at the same time with the excitation wavelength. | SHAOHUA GAO JIAYI WANG WENHUA LI XUANYI YU XINZHENG ZHANG XIAO SONG ANDREY ILJIN IRENA DREVENSEK-OLENIK ROMANO A.RUPP JINGJUN XU | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,5: | 2
Conceptual design, modeling and compliance characterization of a novel 2-DOF rotational pointing mechanism for fast steering mirror显示文摘In this paper,a novel 2-DOF rotational pointing mechanism(RPM)is designed inspired by the guidelines of the graphical approach. The mechanism integrates with a fast steering mirror(FSM)for compensating pointing errors of a laser beam. The design intends to achieve an angular travel of±10 mrad and steers a 25 mm mirror aperture.A planar flexure with beam flexures accompanied in parallel with an axial flexure build-up mechanism configuration.Compliant mechanismbased RPM ensures high precision and compactness.Compliance characteristics are established based on the stiffness matrix method for four different planar flexure layouts. One layout with best in-plane rotational compliance is then assessed for performance sensitivity to mechanism dimension parameters and parasitic error, thus informing the design space.Rotational stiffness in both the inplane rotational axes and stress is determined based on finite element analysis(FEA).The wire electrical discharge machining(EDM)is employed for developing the proof of concept for the RPM and is then assembled in FSM.Experiments are conducted to determine the rotational stiffness and angular travel about both in-plane rotational axes.Comparison among theoretical, numerical and experiments reveal excellent linearity of rotational stiffness along the rotational travel range. The maximum theoretical error is less than 5.5%compared with FEA while, the experimental error has a mean of 5%and 3%for both rotational axes thus satisfying the intended design requirement. | Muhammad ABID Jingjun YU Yan XIE Abdus SALAM | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,12: | 2
Wavelength dependence of light propagation in a water suspension of anisotropic scatterers显示文摘We experimentally study the wavelength dependence of light propagation in a water suspension of lithium niobate microcrystalline particles.First, the ballistic transmission in the visible range of the suspension is measured. The nonlinear relationship is observed between the transport mean free path and the wavelength of the incident light.Secondly,we measure the coherent backscattering (CBS) of the sample at different wavelengths. The full width at half maximum of the CBS cone at 532 nm is about 1.24 times as large as that at 671 nm.The results indicate that the light with a long wavelength propagates further than the short wavelength light and the localization state of the short one is stronger. Finally,we investigate the light-controllable CBS experiments in the disordered materials of anisotropic scatterers, which show that the configuration of pump light with the longer wavelength and the probe light with the shorter wavelength performs better. | SHI Fan ZHANG XinZheng LI Jun WANG PiDong XU Yan YU XuanYi XU JingJun | 2011 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,11: | 2

Actuation Spaces Synthesis of Lower-Mobility Parallel Mechanisms Based on Screw Theory显示文摘The lower-mobility parallel mechanism has been widely used in the engineering field due to its numerous excellent characteristics. However, little work has been devoted to the actuator selection and placement that best satisfy the system's functional requirements during concept design. In this study,a unified approach for synthesizing the actuation spaces of both rigid and flexure parallel mechanisms has been presented, and all possible combinations of inputs could be obtained, laying a theoretical foundation for the subsequent optimization of inputs.According to the linear independence of actuation space and constraint space of the lower-mobility parallel mechanism,a general expression of actuation spaces in the format of screw systems is deduced,a unified synthesis process for the lower-mobility parallel mechanism is derived, and the efficiency of the method is validated with two selective examples based on screw theory. This study presents a theoretical framework for the input selection problems of parallel mechanisms, aiming to help designers select and place actuators in a correct and even optimal way after the configuration design. | Shihua Li Yanxia Shan Jingjun Yu Yaxiong Ke | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,1: | 1
