142,573 cases of hepatectomy in China: a multicenter retrospective investigation显示文摘Hepatectomy is currently routinely performed in most hospitals in China. China owns the largest population of liver diseases and the biggest number of liver resection cases. A nationwide multicenter retrospective investigation involving 112 hospitals was performed, and focused on liver resection for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). 42,573 cases of hepatectomy were enrolled, and 18,275 valid cases of liver resection for HCC patients were selected for statistical analysis. The epidemiology of HCC, distribution of hepatectomy, postoperative complications and prognosis were finally analyzed. In the 18,275 HCC patients,81% had hepatitis B virus infection and 10% had hepatitis C virus infection. 38% of the HCC patients had normal Alphafetoprotein(AFP) level, and other 35% had an AFP level lower than 400 ng mL^(-1). In the study period, 97% of the hepatectomy for HCC were treated with open surgery, and 23.81% had vascular exclusion techniques. The operation time was(191.7±105.6) min,the blood loss was(546.0±562.8) m L, and blood transfusion was(543.0±1,035.2) m L. The median survival for HCC patients was 631 days, with 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival of 73.2%, 28.8% and 19.6%, respectively. 5Incorporating topographic factors in nonlinear mixed-effects models for aboveground biomass of natural Simao pine in Yunnan,China显示文摘A total of 128 Simao pine trees(Pinus kesiya var. langbianensis) from three regions of Pu'er City,Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China, were destructively sampled to obtain tree aboveground biomass(AGB). Tree variables such as diameter at breast height and total height, and topographical factors such as altitude,aspect of slope, and degree of slope were recorded. We considered the region and site quality classes as the random-effects, and the topographic variables as the fixedeffects. We fitted a total of eight models as follows: leastsquares nonlinear models(BM), least-squares nonlinear models with the topographic factors(BMT), nonlinear mixed-effects models with region as single random-effects(NLME-RE), nonlinear mixed-effects models with site as single random-effects(NLME-SE), nonlinear mixed-effects models with the two-level nested region and site random-effects(TLNLME), NLME-RE with the fixed-effects of topographic factors(NLMET-RE), NLME-SE with the fixed-effects of topographic factors(NLMET-SE), and TLNLME with the fixed-effects of topographic factors(TLNLMET). The eight models were compared by modelfitting and prediction statistics. The results showed: model fitting was improved by considering random-effects of region or site, or both. The models with the fixed-effects of topographic factors had better model fitting. According to AIC and BIC, the model fitting was ranked as TLNLME[ NLMET-RE [ NLME-RE [ NLMET-SE [ TLNLMET[ NLME-SE [ BMT [ BM. The differences among these models for model prediction were small. The model prediction was ranked as TLNLME [ NLME-RE [ NLMES E [ N L M E T- R E [ N L M E T- S E [ T L N L M E T [BMT [ BM. However, all eight models had relatively high prediction precision([90 %). 9Three-in-one Fe-porphyrin based hybrid nanosheets for enhanced CO_(2)reduction and evolution kinetics in Li-CO_(2)battery显示文摘Efficient cathode-catalysts with multi-functional properties are essential for Li-CO_(2)battery,while the construction of them with simultaneously enhanced CO_(2)reduction and evolution kinetics is still challenging.Here,a kind of hybrid nanosheets based on Ru nanoparticles,Fe-TAPP and grapheme oxide(GO)has been designed through a one-pot self-assembly strategy.The Ru,Fe-porphyrin and GO based hybrid nanosheets(denoted as Ru/Fe-TAPP@GO)with integrated multi-components offer characteristics of ultrathin thickness(~4 nm),high electro-redox property,uniformly dispersed morphology,and high electrical conductivity,etc.These features endow Ru/Fe-TAPP@GO with ultra-low overpotential(0.82 V)and fully reversible discharge/charge property with a high specific-capacity of 39,000 m Ah/g within 2.0-4.5 V at 100 m A/g,which are much superior to Ru@GO and Fe-TAPP@GO.The achieved performance was presented as one of the best cathode-catalysts reported to date.The synergistically enhanced activity originated from the integrated hybrid nanosheets may provide a new pathway for designing efficient cathode-catalysts for Li-CO_(2)batteries.Shan Li Jian-Hui Wang Long-Zhang Dong Yu Zhang Xiao-Man Yao Yifa Chen Shun-Li Li Ya-Qian Lan 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,6:1

12Mannogalactoglucan from mushrooms protects pancreatic islets via restoring UPR and promotes insulin secretion in TIDM mice显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1DM) lacks insulin secretion due to autoimmune deficiency of pancreaticβ-cells.Protecting pancreatic islets and enhancing insulin secretion has been therapeutic approaches.Mannogalactoglucan is the main type of polysaccharide from natural mushroom,which has potential medicinal prospects.Nevertheless,the antidiabetic property of mannogalactoglucan in T1DM has not been fully elucidated.In this study,we obtained the neutral fraction of alkali-soluble Armillaria mellea polysaccharide(AAMP-N) with the structure of mannogalactoglucan from the fruiting body of A.mellea and investigated the potential therapeutic value of AAMP-N in T1DM.We demonstrated that AAMP-N lowered blood glucose and improved diabetes symptoms in T1DM mice.AAMP-N activated unfolded protein response(UPR) signaling pathway to maintain ER protein folding homeostasis and promote insulin secretion in vivo.Besides that,AAMP-N promoted insulin synthesis via upregulating the expression of transcription factors,increased Ca^(2+) signals to stimulate intracellular insulin secretory vesicle transport via activating calcium/calmodulin-dependent kinase Ⅱ(CamkⅡ) and cAMP/PKA signals,and enhanced insulin secretory vesicle fusion with the plasma membrane via vesicle-associated membrane protein 2(VAMP2).Collectively,these studies demonstrated that the therapeutic potential of AAMP-N on pancreatic islets function,indicating that mannogalactoglucan could be natural nutraceutical used for the treatment of T1DM.Ting Liu Si Chen Yunhe Qu Lujuan Zheng Xiaoxuan Yang Shuhan Men Yuanning Wang Hanrui Ma Yifa Zhou Yuying Fan 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,3:0

14Serum N-terminal DDR1:A Novel Diagnostic Marker of Liver Fibrosis Severity显示文摘Background and Aims:The expression of discoidin domain receptor 1(DDR1)is commonly up-regulated and undergoes collagen-induced ectodomain(N-terminal)shedding during the progression of liver fibrosis.This study aimed to evaluate the clinical utility of N-terminal DDR1 as a diagnostic biomarker for liver fibrosis.Methods:N-terminal DDR1 shedding was evaluated using cell lines,liver fibrosis mouse models,clinical data of 298 patients collected from February 2019 to June 2020.The clinical data were divided into test and validation cohorts to evaluate the diagnostic performance of serum N-terminal DDR1.Results:Timeand dosage-dependent N-terminal DDR1 shedding stimulated by collagen I was observed in a hepatocyte cell line model.The type I collagen deposition and serum N-terminal DDR1 levels concurrently increased in the development of liver fibrosis in mouse models.Clinical data demonstrated a significant diagnostic power of serum N-terminal DDR1 levels as an accurate biomarker of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis.The diagnostic performance was further increased when applying N-DDR1/albumin ratio,achieving area under the curve of 0.790,0.802,0.879,and 0.865 for detecting histological fibrosis stages F≥2,F≥3,F 4 with liver biopsy as a reference method,and cirrhosis according to imaging techniques,respectively.With a cut-off of 55.6,a sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,and negative predictive value of 82.7%,76.6%,67.4%,and 88.3%were achieved for the detection of cirrhosis.Conclusions:Serum N-terminal DDR1 appears to be a novel diagnostic marker for liver fibrosis.Yuxin Zhang Yujie Zhang Huifang Liang Zeng Zhuo Pan Fan Yifa Chen Zhanguo Zhang Wanguang Zhang 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,5:0
15Self-assembly of single metal sites embedded covalent organic frameworks into multi-dimensional nanostructures for efficient CO_(2) electroreduction显示文摘Morphology-controlled electrocatalysts with the ability of CO_(2) adsorption/activation, mass transfer, high stability and porosity are much desired in electrochemical CO_(2) reduction reaction (CO_(2)RR). Here, three kinds of multi-dimensional nanostructures (i.e., hollow sphere, nanosheets and nanofibers) have been successfully produced through the modulation of porphyrin-based covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with various modulators. The obtained nanostructures with high-stability, large surface-area, and single metal sites enable efficient CO_(2)RR into CH_(4). Notably, they all exhibit higher FE (hollow sphere, 68.2%;nanosheet, 64.2% and nanofiber, 71.0%, -0.9 V) than COF-366-Cu (43.0%, -0.9 V) after morphology control. Noteworthy, the FE of COF-366-Cu (HS) keeps higher than 52.4% over a wide potential range from -0.9 V to -1.1 V and the achieved FECH_(4) + C_(2)H_(4) (82.8%, -0.9 V) is superior to most of reported COFs and copper-based electrocatalysts. 18Ginsenoside F1 administration promotes UCP1-dependent fat browning and ameliorates obesity-associated insulin resistance显示文摘Obesity-induced type 2 diabetes is mainly due to excessive free fatty acids leading to insulin resistance.Increasing thermogenesis is regarded as an effective strategy for hypolipidemia and hypoglycemia.Ginsenoside is a natural active component in Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer,and some of them enhance thermogenesis.However,there are few studies on the mechanism and target of ginsenosides enhancing thermogenesis.Using thermogenic protein uncoupling protein 1(UCP1)-luciferase reporter assay,we identifi ed ginsenoside F1 as a novel UCP1 activator in the ginsenosides library.Using pull down assay and inhibitor interference,we found F1 binds toβ3-adrenergic receptors(β3-AR)to enhance UCP1 expression via cAMP/PKA/CREB pathway.We also investigated the ability of F1 on energy metabolism in obesity-induced diabetic mice,including body weight,body composition and energy expenditure.The results of proteomics showed that F1 signifi cantly up-regulated thermogenesis proteins and lipolytic proteins,but down-regulated fatty acid synthesis proteins.Ginsenoside F1 increased thermogenesis and ameliorated insulin resistance specifi cally by promoting the browning of white adipose tissue in obese mice.Additionally,ginsenoside F1 improves norepinephrine-induced insulin resistance in adipocytes and hepatocytes,and shows a stronger mitochondria respiration ability than norepinephrine.These fi ndings suggest that ginsenoside F1 is a promising lead compound in the improvement of insulin resistance.Yuhan Meng Weili Li Chenxing Hu Si Chen Haiyang Li Feifei Bai Lujuan Zheng Ye Yuan Yuying Fan Yifa Zhou 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,6:0
19Cu cluster embedded porous nanofibers for high-performance CO_(2) electroreduction显示文摘Metal-doped carbon materials, as one of the most important electrocatalytic catalysts for CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR), have attracted increasing attention. Herein, a series of Cu cluster embedded highly porous nanofibers have been prepared through the carbonization of electro-spun MOF/PAN nanofibers.The obtained Cu cluster doped porous nanofibers possessed fibrous morphology, high porosity, conductivity, and uniformly dispersed Cu clusters, which could be applied as promising CO_(2)RR catalysts. Specifically, best of them, MCP-500 exhibited high catalytic performance for CO_(2)RR, in which the Faradaic efficiency of CO(FECO) was as high as 98% at-0.8 V and maintained above 95% after 10 h continuous electrocatalysis. The high performance might be attributed to the synergistic effect of tremendously layered graphene skeleton and uniformly dispersed Cu clusters that could largely promote the electron conductivity, mass transfer and catalytic activity during the electrocatalytic CO_(2)RR process. 20Boosting CO_(2) electroreduction performance over fullerene-modified MOF-545-Co promoted by π –π interaction显示文摘Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) have showed high promise in CO_(2)-electroreduction, yet their generally insufficient conductivity or low electron-transfer efficiency have largely restricted the wide-spread applications. Herein, fullerene molecules(i.e., C60and C70) have been successfully introduced into the pore-channels of a Co-porphyrin based MOF through a facile strategy. Thus-obtained hybrid materials present higher electron-transfer ability, enhanced CO_(2)adsorption-enthalpy and CO_(2)electroreduction activity. Notably, the charge transfer resistance(Rct) of C60@MOF-545-Co is almost 5 times lower of than that of MOF-545-Co, as well as 1.5 times increased for the CO_(2)adsorption enthalpy. As expect, the FECO of C60@MOF-545-Co(97.0%) is largely higher than MOF-545-Co(70.2%), C60@MOF-545(19.4%), C60(11.5%)and physical mixture(70.3%) and presented as one of the best CO_(2)electroreduction catalysts reported in H-cell system.
