| 1 | Hypoxia inducible factor(HIF) in the tumor microenvironment:friend or foe?显示文摘Hypoxia acts as an important regulator of physiological and pathological processes. Hypoxia inducible factors(HIFs) are the central players involved in the cellular adaptation to hypoxia and are regulated by oxygen sensing EGLN prolyl hydroxylases.Hypoxia affects many aspects of cellular growth through both redox effects and through the stabilization of HIFs. The HIF isoforms likely have differential effects on tumor growth via alteration of metabolism, growth, and self-renewal and are likely highly context-dependent. In some tumors such as renal cell carcinoma, the EGLN/HIF axis appears to drive tumorigenesis,while in many others HIF1 and HIF2 may actually have a tumor suppressive role. An emerging role of HIF biology is its effects on the tumor microenvironment. The EGLN/HIF axis plays a key role in regulating the function of the various components of the tumor microenvironment, which include cancer-associated fibroblasts, endothelial cells, immune cells, and the extracellular matrix(ECM). | 2 | Potentiating CD8^(+) T cell antitumor activity by inhibiting PCSK9 to promote LDLR-mediated TCR recycling and signaling显示文摘Metabolic regulation has been proven to play a critical role in T cell antitumor immunity.However,cholesterol metabolism as a key component of this regulation remains largely unexplored.Herein,we found that the low-density lipoprotein receptor(LDLR),which has been previously identified as a transporter for cholesterol,plays a pivotal role in regulating CD8+T cell antitumor activity.Besides the involvement of cholesterol uptake which is mediated by LDLR in T cell priming and clonal expansion,we also found a non-canonical function of LDLR in CD8+T cells:LDLR interacts with the T-cell receptor(TCR)complex and regulates TCR recycling and signaling,thus facilitating the effector function of cytotoxic T-lymphocytes(CTLs).Furthermore,we found that the tumor microenvironment(TME)downregulates CD8+T cell LDLR level and TCR signaling via tumor cell-derived proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9(PCSK9)which binds to LDLR and prevents the recycling of LDLR and TCR to the plasma membrane thus inhibits the effector function of CTLs.Moreover,genetic deletion or pharmacological inhibition of PCSK9 in tumor cells can enhance the antitumor activity of CD8+T cells by alleviating the suppressive effect on CD8+T cells and consequently inhibit tumor progression.While previously established as a hypercholesterolemia target,this study highlights PCSK9/LDLR as a potential target for cancer immunotherapy as well. | Juanjuan Yuan Ting Cai Xiaojun Zheng Yangzi Ren Jingwen Qi Xiaofei Lu Huihui Chen Huizhen Lin Zijie Chen Mengnan Liu Shangwen He Qijun Chen Siyang Feng Yingjun Wu Zhenhai Zhang Yanqing Ding Wei Yang | 2021 | Protein & Cell2021,12,4: | 12 |

| 4 | A CFD model for gas uniform distribution in turbulent flow for the production of titanium pigment in chloride process显示文摘The fluid dynamic behavior of feeding gas(Ti Cl4) in an annular channel affects the combination of O2 and Ti Cl4 in an oxidation reactor, a key piece of equipment in titanium pigment production. The numerical procedure was validated by a 3-dimensional gas flow in the annular channel. Applying the validated model, the flow characteristics of Ti Cl4 in the oxidation reactor with a tangential inlet were simulated and characterized. The flow distribution with five rectifying rings of different structure was simulated and analyzed. The results showed that the rectifying ring improved the distribution uniformity of the pressure and outlet velocity. Compared to the original case without a rectifying ring, the non-uniformity of the pressure and outlet velocity could be reduced by up to91% and 69% respectively. The rectifying ring #5, which can be installed and adjusted easily, is more effective in realizing even distribution. | 6 | Optimizing microstructure,shrinkage defects and mechanical performance of ZL205A alloys via coupling travelling magnetic fields with unidirectional solidification显示文摘ZL205A alloys tend to form disordered and defective microstructure due to the large solidification intervals and multi-phase.Accordingly,finding ways to effectively optimize the microstructure and mechanical performance is of great significance.In this regard,the coupling of travelling magnetic fields(TMF)with unidirectional solidification was used to continuously regulate the mushy zones of ZL205A alloys.Additionally,experiments are combined with simulations to systematically reveal the mechanisms on the optimizations at each stage of solidification process.Current findings demonstrate that different directional strong melt flows generated by TMF are responsible for these optimizations.Additionally,the effects of TMF on microstructure are different at each stage of solidification process.Specifically,downward TMF coupled with unidirectional solidification can refine and uniform the microstructure,decrease the formation of precipitation,promote the growth consistency of matrix phaseα-Al growing along the<001>crystal orientation,reduce the secondary dendrites and overlaps between dendrites,eliminate the shrinkage defects,and increase the ultimate tensile strength,yield strength,elongation and hardness from 198.3 MPa,102.2 MPa,7.5%and 82.3 kg mm^(-2)without TMF to 225.5 MPa,116.1 MPa,13.6%and 105.2 kg mm^(-2).Contrastively,although upward TMF can reduce Al3Ti and refineα-Al,it increases the formation of Al6Mn,Al2Cu,secondary dendrites,overlaps between dendrites,and shrinkage defects;then it deflects and disorders the growth ofα-Al,further to decrease the overall performance of alloys. | Lei Luo Liangshun Luo Yanqing Su Lin Su Liang Wang Jingjie Guo Hengzhi Fu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,15: | 4 |

| 8 | How mobile messaging apps users share information on WeChat: The role of demographic variables显示文摘Purpose: We conducted an empirical study to find out the role of demographic variables in affecting information sharing behaviors of college student users of We Chat. Design/methodology/approach: A questionnaire survey was carried out to investigate the relationship between demographic variables(gender, grade level, dating status, and singleparent family background) and information sharing behaviors of We Chat users. The participants were college students and a total of 255 valid questionnaires were collected. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis.Findings: Grade level and single-parent family background were found to be significantly correlated with information sharing behaviors whereas no effect of gender was found on information sharing behaviors. Dating status had no significant impact on user browsing behavior, but was related to users' publishing posts and posting replies.Implications: The study will help understand individual differences in information sharing among We Chat users.Limitations: First, the relatively small sample size is a limitation in exploring the effects of demographic variables on user information sharing behaviors. | 10 | Selective Ensemble Learning Method for Belief-Rule-Base Classification System Based on PAES显示文摘Traditional Belief-Rule-Based(BRB) ensemble learning methods integrate all of the trained sub-BRB systems to obtain better results than a single belief-rule-based system. However, as the number of BRB systems participating in ensemble learning increases, a large amount of redundant sub-BRB systems are generated because of the diminishing difference between subsystems. This drastically decreases the prediction speed and increases the storage requirements for BRB systems. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes BRBCS-PAES: a selective ensemble learning approach for BRB Classification Systems(BRBCS) based on ParetoArchived Evolutionary Strategy(PAES) multi-objective optimization. This system employs the improved Bagging algorithm to train the base classifier. For the purpose of increasing the degree of difference in the integration of the base classifier, the training set is constructed by the repeated sampling of data. In the base classifier selection stage, the trained base classifier is binary coded, and the number of base classifiers participating in integration and generalization error of the base classifier is used as the objective function for multi-objective optimization. Finally,the elite retention strategy and the adaptive mesh algorithm are adopted to produce the PAES optimal solution set.Three experimental studies on classification problems are performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. | 11 | Corrosion protection of magnesium alloys anode by cerium-based anodization coating in magnesium-ait battery显示文摘CeN_(3)O_(9)·6H_(2)O(0.5,1.0,1.5,and 2.0 g/L)was added into an 8.0%NaCl electrolyte solution to investigate this electrolyte for use in a Mg-air battery.The effects of the amount of CeN_(3)O_(9)-6H_(2)O on the corrosion resistance of an AZ31 Mg alloy anode and battery performance were investigated using microstructure,electrochemical(dynamic potential polarization method and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy),and battery measurements.The re sults show that the addition of CeN_(3)O_(9)·6H_(2)O to the electrolyte leads to the formation of a Ce(OH)_(3)protective film on the surface of the AZ31 Mg alloy that improves the corrosion resistance of the Mg alloy.An increase in the concentration of CeN_(3)O_(9)·6H_(2)O results in a denser Ce(OH)_(3)protective film and decreases corrosion rate of the AZ31 Mg alloy.When the concentration of CeN_(3)O_(9)·6H_(2)O is 1.0 g/L,the corrosion rate of the Mg alloy is the lowest with a corrosion inhibition rate of70.4%.However,the corrosion rate increases due to the dissolution of the Ce(OH)_(3)protective film when the concentration of CeN_(3)O_(9)-6H_(2)O is greater than 1.0 g/L.Immersing the Mg alloy in the electrolyte solution containing CeN_(3)O_(9)-6H_(2)O for 50 h leads to the formation of the Ce(HO)_(3)protective film on its surface,which was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy of the AZ31 alloy.The Mg^(2+)charge transfer resistance increases by 69.5Ωfrom the equivalent circuit diagram,which improves the corrosion resistance of the Mg alloy.The discharge performance of CeN_(3)O_(9)·6H_(2)O improves according to a discharge test,and the discharge time increases by 40 min. | Xiang You Xiaowei Zhang Chuang Yu Yuanliang Chen Huiming Li Yanqing Hou Lin Tian Ni Yang Gang Xie | 2023 | Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,3: | 1 |

The only limitation in software creation is human imagination, and that limit is often self-imposed. The 'Internetware', referring to a software paradigm, aims to satisfy the need of human kind using Internet as an integrated development and execution platform. Such software systems are composed of entities distributed through the Internetwork, allowing connections that would be impossible or difficult to make otherwise. One of the tasks for the Internetware is to accommodate creativity, to understand the general settings of creative design process and to develop programs that can enhance creativity without necessarily being creative themselves. Therefore, it can be summarized that a development environment needs to be built to best support software creation process of six steps including searching, ideating, specifying, coding, testing and evolving. | 18 | Evaluation of Postoperative Psychological Distress and Its Driving Factors in Patients with Oral and Maxillofacial Malignant Tumors显示文摘Objective:To explore and analyze the evaluation and driving factors of postoperative psychological pain inpatients with oral and maxillofacial malignant tumors.Methods:Relevant data were collected from 80 patients with oral and maxillofacial malignant tumors who attended the outpatient clinic for follow-up consultations between May 2021 to May 2023.The patients used the psychological distress thermometer(DT)to circle words that best described their experiences in the past week,assigning a numerical value(0-10)to indicate their pain level on each day.The scoring results were employed to assess the psychological pain in these patients.A self-developed patient basic information questionnaire was utilized to record demographic details.Logistic regression analysis was employed to evaluate patients two weeks after surgery,focusing on the assessment of psychological distress and the identification and location of driving factors.Results:Following evaluation,the results revealed that the average postoperative DT score for the 80 patients with oral and maxillofacial malignant tumors was 4.53±1.98 points.Scores<4 points indicated no psychological pain(Group N)in 48 cases,while scores≥4 points indicated psychological pain(Group Y)in 32 cases.The differences in postoperative DT scores among patients with varying educational levels,fears and worries about disease progression,economic problems,sleep problems,level of hope,and oral pain were statistically significant(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis results indicated that education level,fear and worry about disease progression,economic problems,sleep problems,level of hope,and oral pain are driving factors of postoperative psychological pain in patients with oral and maxillofacial malignant tumors(P<0.05).Conclusion:The postoperative psychological pain level in patients with oral and maxillofacial malignant tumors is at a moderate level.Educational level,fear and worry about disease progression,economic problems,sleep problems,level of hope,and oral pain were identified as driving factors for postoperative psychological pain in these patients. | Yanqing Feng Fengqiao Lin Mengjun Huang | 2023 | Proceedings of Anticancer Research2023,7,6: | 0 |
| 19 | Reducing porosity and optimizing performance for Al-Cu-based alloys with large solidification intervals by coupling travelling magnetic fields with sequential solidification显示文摘Porosity is a major casting defect in alloys with large solidification intervals due to the disordered microstructure and broad mushy zones,which decreases badly the mechanical performance.Hence,finding ways to effectively reduce the porosity,further to optimize microstructure and mechanical performance is of great significance.In this regard,the Al-Cu-based alloys with large solidification intervals are continuously processed by coupling the travelling magnetic fields(TMF)with sequential solidification.Additionally,experiments combined with simulations are utilized to comprehensively analyze the mechanism of TMF on the reduction in porosity,including shrinkage porosity and gas porosity,from different perspectives.Current findings determine that downward TMF can effectually optimize together the porosity,microstructure and performance,by inducing the strong long-range directional melt flows,stabilizing the mushy zones,and optimizing the feeding channels and exhaust paths,as well as increasing the driving force of degassing process.Eventually,downward TMF can increase the ultimate tensile strength,yield strength,elongation and hardness from 175.2 MPa,87.5 MPa,13.3%and 80.2 kg mm^(-2) without TMF to 218.6 MPa,109.3 MPa,15.6%and 95.5 kg mm^(-2),while reduce the total porosity from0.95%to 0.18%.However,Up-TMF exerts negative effects on the optimization of porosity,microstructure and performance due to the opposite strong directional magnetic force and melt flows.Overall,our study provides an effective way to optimize together the porosity,microstructure and mechanical performance,and reveals their relationship,as well as details the relevant mechanisms of TMF on the porosity reduction from different perspectives. | Lei Luo Liangshun Luo Yanqing Su Lin Su Liang Wang Ruirun Chen Jingjie Guo Hengzhi Fu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,20: | 0 |
| 20 | Controllable and large-area growth of ZnO nanosheet arrays under ambient condition as superior anodes for scalable aqueous batteries显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)oxides have been the focus of substantial research interest recently,owing to their fascinating physico-chemical properties.However,fabrication of large-area 2D oxide materials in a controlled manner under mild conditions still remains a formidable challenge.Herein,we develop a facile and universal strategy based on the sonochemistry approach for controllable and large-area growth of quasi-aligned single-crystalline ZnO nanosheets on a Zn substrate(Zn@SC-ZnO)under ambient conditions.The obtained ZnO nanosheets possess the desired exclusively exposed(001)facets,which have been confirmed to play a critical role in significantly reducing the activation energy and facilitating the stripping/plating processes of Zn.Accordingly,the constructed Zn@SC-ZnO||Zn@SC-ZnO symmetric cell has very low polarization overpotential down to~20 mV,with limited dendrite growth and side reactions for Zn anodes.The developed Zn@SC-ZnO//MnO_(2)aqueous Zn-ion batteries(ZIBs)show a voltage efficiency of 88.2%under 500 mA g^(-1)at the stage of 50%depth of discharge,which is state of the art for ZIBs reported to date.Furthermore,the as-assembled large-size cell(5 cm×5 cm)delivers an open circuit potential of 1.648 V,and can be robustly operated under a high current of 20 mA,showing excellent potential for future scalable applications. | Dongdong Zhang Yanqing Fu Qiliang Wei Yapeng Zheng Lin Wang Jie Teng Weiyou Yang | 2023 | Carbon Energy2023,5,12: | 0 |
