| 1 | Transplantation of UC-MSCs on collagen scaffold activates follicles in dormant ovaries of POF patients with long history of infertility显示文摘Premature ovarian failure(POF) is a refractory disease for clinical treatment with the goal of restoring fertility. In this study,umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells on a collagen scaffold(collagen/UC-MSCs) can activate primordial follicles in vitro via phosphorylation of FOXO3 a and FOXO1. Transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs to the ovaries of POF patients rescued overall ovarian function, evidenced by elevated estradiol concentrations, improved follicular development, and increased number of antral follicles. Successful clinical pregnancy was achieved in women with POF after transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs or UC-MSCs. | 2 | Trend in pan evaporation and its attribution over the past 50 years in China显示文摘Trends in pan evaporation are widely relevant to the hydrological community as indicators of hydrological and climate change. Pan evaporation has been decreasing in the past few decades over many large areas with differing climates globally. This study analyzes pan evaporation data from 671 stations in China over the past 50 years in order to reveal the trends of it and the corresponding trend attribution. Mann-Kendall test shows a significant declining trend in pan evaporation for most stations, with an average decrease of 17.2 mm/10a in China as a whole, the rate of decline was the steepest in the humid region (29.7 mm/10a), and was 17.6 mm/10a and 5.5 mm/10a in the semi-humid/semi-arid region and arid region, respectively. Complete correlation coefficients of pan evaporation with 7 climate factors were computed, and decreases in diurnal temperature range (DTR), SD (sunshine duration) and wind speed were found to be the main attributing factors in the pan evaporation declines. | 3 | Application of Avaatech X-ray fluorescence core-scanning in Sr/Ca analysis of speleothems显示文摘Application of X-ray fluorescence core-scanning(XRF-CS) on both marine and lake sediments has achieved remarkable results. However, its application has not been widely extended to the research on speleothems. In this study, we measure the Sr abundance and the Sr/Ca ratios of three stalagmites(two aragonite stalagmites, one calcite stalagmite) using the state-of-the-art fourth-generation Avaatech high-resolution XRF core scanner. Through comparisons among different scan paths and among different scan resolutions, as well as comparisons with inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer(ICP-OES), Itrax XRF, and Artax XRF results, we confirm that the Avaatech XRF core scanner could precisely, quickly, and nondestructively analyze the high-resolution Sr abundance of speleothems. | 6 | Warm temperature compromises JA-regulated basal resistance to enhance Magnaporthe oryzae infection in rice显示文摘Changes in global temperatures profoundly affect the occurrence of plant diseases.It is well known that rice blast can easily become epidemic in relatively warm weather.However,the molecular mechanism remains unclear.In this study,we show that enhanced blast development at a warm temperature(22C)compared with the normal growth temperature(28C)is rice plant-determined.Comparative transcriptome analysis revealed that jasmonic acid(JA)biosynthesis and signaling genes in rice could be effectively induced by Magnaporthe oryzae at 28C but not at 22C.Phenotypic analyses of the osaoc1 and osmyc2 mutants,OsCOI1 RNAi lines,and OsMYC2-OE plants further demonstrated that compromised M.oryzaeinduced JA biosynthesis and signaling lead to enhanced blast susceptibility at the warm temperature.Consistent with these results,we found that exogenous application of methyl jasmonate served as an effective strategy for improving blast resistance under the warm environmental conditions.Furthermore,decreased activation of JA signaling resulted in the downregulated expression of some key basal resistance genes at 22C when compared with 28C.Among these affected genes,OsCEBiP(chitin elicitorbinding protein precursor)was found to be directly regulated by OsMYB22 and its interacting protein OsMYC2,a key component of JA signaling,and this contributed to temperature-modulated blast resistance.Taken together,these results suggest that warm temperature compromises basal resistance in rice and enhances M.oryzae infection by reducing JA biosynthesis and signaling,providing potential new strategies for managing rice blast disease under warm climate conditions. | Jiehua Qiu Junhui Xie Ya Chen Zhenan Shen Huanbin Shi Naweed I.Naqvi Qian Qian Yan Liang Yanjun Kou | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,4: | 5 |

| 8 | Exploring Seasonal and Circadian Rhythms in Structural Traits of Field Maize from LiDAR Time Series显示文摘Plant growth rhythm in structural traits is important for better understanding plant response to the ever-changing environment.Terrestrial laser scanning(TLS)is a well-suited tool to study structural rhythm under field conditions.Recent studies have used TLS to describe the structural rhythm of trees,but no consistent patterns have been drawn.Meanwhile,whether TLS can capture structural rhythm in crops is unclear.Here,we aim to explore the seasonal and circadian rhythms in maize structural traits at both the plant and leaf levels from time-series TLS.The seasonal rhythm was studied using TLS data collected at four key growth periods,including jointing,bell-mouthed,heading,and maturity periods.Circadian rhythms were explored by using TLS data acquired around every 2 hours in a whole day under standard and cold stress conditions.Results showed that TLS can quantify the seasonal and circadian rhythm in structural traits at both plant and leaf levels.(1)Leaf inclination angle decreased significantly between the jointing stage and bell-mouthed stage.Leaf azimuth was stable after the jointing stage.(2)Some individual-level structural rhythms(e.g.,azimuth and projected leaf area/PLA)were consistent with leaf-level structural rhythms.(3)The circadian rhythms of some traits(e.g.,PLA)were not consistent under standard and cold stress conditions.(4)Environmental factors showed better correlations with leaf traits under cold stress than standard conditions.Temperature was the most important factor that significantly correlated with all leaf traits except leaf azimuth.This study highlights the potential of time-series TLS in studying outdoor agricultural chronobiology. | Shichao Jin Yanjun Su Yongguang Zhang Shilin Song Qing Li Zhonghua Liu Qin Ma Yan Ge LingLi Liu Yanfeng Ding Frédéric Baret Qinghua Guo | 2021 | Plant Phenomics2021,3,1: | 5 |
| 9 | Corrosion Behavior about Tubing Steel in Environment with High H_2S and CO_2 Content显示文摘The corrosion behavior of C100 steel in simulated environments with high H2S and CO2 content was studied through high-temperature and high-pressure autoclave,and the H2S stress corrosion cracking(SSC) resistance of C100 steel was evaluated by SSC tests.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscope(TEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) technique were employed to characterize the corrosion products and the metal matrix.The results indicate that all of the corrosion products in this investigation are mainly composed of different types of iron sulfide such as Fe 0.95 S,FeS 0.9,Fe 0.985 S,Fe7S8 and FeS,and the absence of iron carbonate in the corrosion scales suggests that the corrosion process is governed by H2S corrosion.The corrosion rate decreases in the initial stage and then increases with the enhancement of the temperature.There exists a minimum corrosion rate at about 110 ℃.Under the partial pressure of H2S lower than 9 MPa,the corrosion rate decreases with the increase of.While over 9 MPa,a higher will result in a faster corrosion process.When the applied stress is 72%,80% and 85% of actual yield strength(AYS),all tested specimens show no crack,which reveals a superior SSC resistance. | 李文飞 ZHOU Yanjun XUE Yan | 2013 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2013,28,5: | 5 |

| 11 | Propofol attenuates high glucose-induced P66shc expression in human umbilical vein endothelial cells through Sirt1显示文摘Perioperative hyperglycemia is a common metabolic disorder in clinic settings.Hyperglycemia leads to endothelial inflammation,endothelial cell apoptosis,and dysfunction,thus resulting in endothelial injury.Propofol(2,6-diisopropylphenol)is a widely used intravenous anesthetic in clinic settings.Our previous study indicated that propofol inhibits mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(ROS)production via down-regulation of phosphatase A2(PP2A)expression,inhibition of Ser36-p66shc dephosphorylation and mitochondrial translocation,thus improving high glucose-induced endothelial injury.The expression of p66shc was inhibited by propofol in hyperglycemic human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).However,the mechanism by which propofol inhibits p66shc expression in hyperglycemic HUVECs is still obscure.In the present study,we mainly examined how propofol inhibited high glucose-induced p66shc expression in HUVECs.Compared with 5 mM glucose treatment,high glucose increased p66shc expression and decreased sirt1 expression,which was inhibited by propofol treatment.Moreover,EX527(a sirt1 inhibitor)reversed the effect of propofol against high glucose-induced p66shc expression.However,EX527 did not reverse the effects of propofol against high glucose-induced ROS accumulation,endothelial inflammation,and apoptosis.Furthermore,when cells were incubated with propofol,EX527,and FTY720(a PP2A activator)simultaneously,the effects of propofol against high glucose-induced ROS accumulation,inflammation,and apoptosis were reversed.Our results suggested that propofol inhibited high glucose-induced p66shc expression via upregulation of sirt1 expression in hyperglycemic HUVECs.Moreover,propofol protects against high glucose-mediated ROS accumulation and endothelial injury via both inhibition of p66shc expression and dephosphorylation of Ser36-p66shc. | Jing Wang Jie Qi Qichao Wu Hui Jiang Yuehao Yin Yan Huanx Yanjun Zhao Minmin Zhu | 2019 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,2: | 5 |
| 12 | Development characteristics of the fault system and its control on basin structure, Bodong Sag, East China显示文摘The Bodong Sag,located in the Bohai Sea,offshore China,is one of the most petroliferous basins in China.Based on three dimensional seismic reflection data and time slice data,we analyze the fault system of the Bodong area in detail,establish the fault structure pattern of different types and summarize the distribution of the fault system.It is concluded that the development characteristics of the Cenozoic fault system are in accordance with the dextral stress field of the Tanlu Fault,which displayed a brush structure with NNE strike-slip faults as its principal faults,NE-trending extensional faults as secondary faults and EW-trending faults as minor faults.Faults can be divided into (1) strike-slip type,(2) extensional type,(3) strike-slip extensional type and (4) extensional strike-slip type.The spatial structures of different faults have obvious differences because of the fault properties and activity intensity.The fault system at different stages shows tremendous differences because of the transition of the Tanlu Fault from sinistral strike-slip to dextral strike-slip,the transition between extension and strike-slip,and the transition from mantle upwelling to thermal subsidence.According to the controlling effect of faults on basin structure,the Cenozoic basin experienced four evolutionary stages,(a) transition stage from sinistral strike-slip to dextral strike-slip,(b) strike-slip extensional faulted stage,(c) extensional strike-slip faulted stage and (d) strike-slip depression stage.The identification of temporal and spatial differences of faults could be used as a significant guideline for oil and gas exploration in the Bodong area. | Wu Zhiping Cheng Yanjun Yan Shiyong Su Wen Wang Xin Xu Changgui Zhou Xinhuai | 2013 | Petroleum Science2013,10,4: | 4 |
| 13 | Local inhibition of GABA affects precedence effect in the inferior colliculus显示文摘The precedence effect is a prerequisite for faithful sound localization in a complex auditory environment,and is a physiological phenomenon in which the auditory system selectively suppresses the directional information from echoes.Here we investigated how neurons in the inferior colliculus respond to the paired sounds that produce precedence-effect illusions,and whether their firing behavior can be modulated through inhibition with gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA).We recorded extracellularly from 36 neurons in rat inferior colliculus under three conditions: no injection,injection with saline,and injection with gamma-aminobutyric acid.The paired sounds that produced precedence effects were two identical 4-ms noise bursts,which were delivered contralaterally or ipsilaterally to the recording site.The normalized neural responses were measured as a function of different inter-stimulus delays and half-maximal interstimulus delays were acquired.Neuronal responses to the lagging sounds were weak when the inter-stimulus delay was short,but increased gradually as the delay was lengthened.Saline injection produced no changes in neural responses,but after local gamma-aminobutyric acid application,responses to the lagging stimulus were suppressed.Application of gamma-aminobutyric acid affected the normalized response to lagging sounds,independently of whether they or the paired sounds were contralateral or ipsilateral to the recording site.These observations suggest that local inhibition by gamma-aminobutyric acid in the rat inferior colliculus shapes the neural responses to lagging sounds,and modulates the precedence effect. | Yanjun Wang Ningyu Wang Dan Wang Jun Jia Jinfeng Liu Yan Xie Xiaohui Wen Xiaoting Li | 2014 | Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,4: | 4 |

| 19 | Degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride by ultrafine TiO_(2) nanoparticles modified g-C_(3)N_(4) heterojunction photocatalyst:Influencing factors,products and mechanism insight显示文摘The unique heterojunction photocatalyst of graphite carbon nitride (g-C_(3)N_(4)) modified ultrafine TiO_(2) (g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2)) was successfully fabricated by electrochemical etching and co-annealing method. However, the effects of various environmental factors on the degradation of TC by g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2) and the internal reaction mechanism are still unclear. In this study, the effects of initial pH, anions, and cations on the photocatalytic degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride (TC) by g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2) were systematically explored, and the scavenging experiment and intermediate detection were conducted to better reveal the mechanism on photocatalytic degradation of TC. The results showed that the removal efficiency of photocatalytic degradation of TC by g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2) could reach 99.04% under Xenon lamp irradiation within 120 min. The unique g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2) heterojunction photocatalyst showed excellent photocatalytic performance for the degradation of TC at pH 3~7, and possesses outstanding anti-interference ability to NO_(3)^(-), Cl^(-), Na^(+), Ca^(2+) and Mg^(2+) ions in natural waters during the photocatalytic degradation TC process. Superoxide radicals (O_(2)^(·-)) and hydroxyl radicals (^(·)OH) were proved as the main reactive species for TC degradation, and the possible mechanism of the unique photocatalytic system for g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2) was also proposed.
