2Acupuncture and moxibustion reduces neuronal edema in Alzheimer's disease rats显示文摘To examine the possible correlation of aberrant Wnt signaling and pathological changes in Alzheimer's disease, we established a rat model of Alzheimer's disease and measured axin and β-catenin expression in the hippocampus. Rats were pretreated with moxibustion or electroacu-puncture, or both, at Baihui(GV20) and Shenshu(BL23). Axin expression was lower, β-catenin expression was greater, and neuronal cytoplasmic edema was visibly prevented in the rats that had received the pretreatments. 4Acupoint combinations used for treatment of Alzheimer's disease: A data mining analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To identify the acupoint combinations used in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease(AD).METHODS: The clinical literature regarding acupuncture and moxibustion for AD was searched and collected from databases including Chinese Biomedical Medicine, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database and PubMed. The database of acupuncture and moxibustion prescriptions for AD was established by using Excel software so as to conduct the descriptive analysis, association analysis on the data.RESULTS: Baihui(GV 20), Sishencong(EX-HN 1),Shenmen(HT 7), Zusanli(ST 36), Neiguan(PC 6),Fengchi(GB 20), Taixi(KI 3), Dazhui(GV 14), Shenshu(BL 23), Sanyinjiao(SP 6), Shenting(GV 24), Fenglong(ST 40), Xuanzhong(GB 39), Shuigou(GV 26)and Taichong(LR 3) were of higher frequency in the treatment of AD with acupnucture and moxibustion. Most acupoints were selected from the Governor Vessel. The commonly used acupoints were located on the head, face, neck and lower limbs. The combination of the local acupoints with the distal ones was predominated. The crossing points among the specific points presented the advantage in the treatment. The association analysis indicated that the correlation among Fengchi(GB 20)-Baihui(GV 20) was the strongest, followed by combinations of Dazhui(GV 14)-Baihui(GV 20), Shenshu(BL 23)-Baihui(GV 20) and Neiguan(PC 6)-Baihui(GV 20) and indicated the common rules of the clinical acupoint selection and combination for AD.CONCLUSION: Our findings provide a reference for acupoints selection and combination for AD in clinical acupuncture practice.Yu Chaochao Wang Li Kong Lihong Shen Feng Ma Chaoyang Du Yanjun Zhou Hua 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,6:4
5Numerical simulation of seepage flow field in groundwater source heat pump system and its influence on temperature field显示文摘Energy utilization in the aquifers is a new technology closely related to development of heat pump technique. It is significant for the flow distribution to be predicted in the aquifer surrounding the Groundwater Source Heat Pump System (GSHPS). The authors presented a new concept of 'flow transfixion' by analyzing general features of aquifers, and then discussed interaction of the flow transfixion with the heat transfixion, which has practical significance to projects. A numerical model of groundwater flow was established based on the basic tenets of water-heat transferring in the aquifer. On this basis the flow field and the temperature field of GSHPS for a site in Shenyang City were numerically simulated. The basis of the flow transfixion was obtained; it was discussed for the influence of the flow transfixion on the heat transfixion. 6Pre-moxibustion and moxibustion prevent Alzheimer's disease显示文摘The Alzheimer's disease model in Wistar rats was established by injection of amyloid β-peptide(Aβ1–42) into the hippocampal CA1 region. Rats were treated with suspended moxibustion on Baihui(GV20) and Shenshu(BL23) acupoints. Prior to and post Aβ1–42exposure. Results showed no evidence of apoptosis in hippocampal neurons, a significantly reduced apoptosis rate of neurons and improved learning and memory abilities were observed in the Alzheimer's disease model. In particular, moxibustion prior to Aβ1–42exposure was more effective than moxibustion after Aβ1–42exposure in protecting the neuronal structure and lowering the apoptosis rate. 7Orthogonal resource sharing scheme for device-to-device communication overlaying cellular networks: a cooperative relay based approach显示文摘In this paper, we propose a device-to-device(D2D) communication scheme to improve local services in cellular networks. By employing cooperative relay(CR) technology, D2 D and cellular communications can operate in orthogonal resource sharing(ORS) mode with the aim of optimizing the data rates for local D2 D users while fulfilling the minimum rate requirements for prioritized cellular users. In the proposed CR-based ORS scheme, we consider a cellular communication that is willing to share part of the occupied bandwidth resource with some D2 D communications. Hence, the newly-obtained resource can be used by a D2 D communication for the following two purposes, i.e., to compensate the rate loss of the cellular communication through cooperative relaying and to communicate its own information so as to increase its own rate. We formulated this CR-based ORS problem as a non-convex optimization problem. Hence, a global maximizer may not exist for the problem.To find the optimal solution for the problem, an effective heuristic algorithm is developed. 17Protective effects of berberine against amyloid beta-induced toxicity in cultured rat cortical neurons显示文摘Berberine,a major constituent of Coptidis rhizoma,exhibits neural protective effects.The present study analyzed the potential protective effect of berberine against amyloid β-induced cytotoxicity in rat cerebral cortical neurons.Alzheimer's disease cell models were treated with 0.5 and 2 μmol/L berberine for 36 hours to inhibit amyloid β-induced toxicity.Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium assay and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling staining results showed that berberine significantly increased cell viability and reduced cell apoptosis in primary cultured rat cortical neurons.In addition,western blot analysis revealed a protective effect of berberine against amyloid β-induced toxicity in cultured cortical neurons,which coincided with significantly decreased abnormal up-regulation of activated caspase-3.These results showed that berberine exhibited a protective effect against amyloid β-induced cytotoxicity in cultured rat cortical neurons.Wang, Jing Zhang, Yanjun Du, Shuai Zhang, Mixia 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,3:1

20High-speed Stokes vector receiver enabled by a spin-dependent optical grating显示文摘Stokes vector direct detection is a promising,cost-effective technology for short-distance communication applications.Here,we design and fabricate a spin-dependent liquid crystal grating to detect light polarization states.By separating the circular and linear components of incident light,the polarization states can be resolved with accuracy of up to 0.25°.We achieved Stokes vector direct detection of quadrature phase-shift keying(QPSK),8 PSK,and16-ary quadrature amplitude modulation signals with 32,16,and 16 GBd rates,respectively.We integrated the system,including the grating,photodetectors,and optical elements,on a miniaturized printed circuit board and demonstrated high-speed optical communications with 16 GBd rate QPSK signals.YOUPENG XIE TING LEI DAWEI WANG JIANXIN REN YANMENG DAI YANJUN CHEN LUPING DU BO LIU ZHAOHUI LI XIAOCONG YUAN 2021Photonics Research2021,9,8:1
