1Regionalization based on spatial and seasonal variation in ground-level ozone concentrations across China显示文摘Owing to the vast territory of China and strong regional characteristic of ozone pollution,it's desirable for policy makers to have a targeted and prioritized regulation and ozone pollution control strategy in China based on scientific evidences. It's important to assess its current pollution status as well as spatial and temporal variation patterns across China.Recent advances of national monitoring networks provide an opportunity to insight the actions of ozone pollution. Here, we present rotated empirical orthogonal function(REOF)analysis that was used on studying the spatiotemporal characteristics of daily ozone concentrations. Based on results of REOF analysis in pollution seasons for 3 years' observations, twelve regions with clear patterns were identified in China. The patterns of temporal variation of ozone in each region were separated well and different from each other, reflecting local meteorological, photochemical or pollution features. A rising trend in annual averaged Eight-hour Average Ozone Concentrations(O_3-8 hr) from 2014 to 2016 was observed for all regions, except for the Tibetan Plateau. The mean values of annual and 90 percentile concentrations for all 338 cities were 82.6 ± 14.6 and 133.9 ± 25.8 μg/m^3,respectively, in 2015. The regionalization results of ozone were found to be influenced greatly by terrain features, indicating significant terrain and landform effects on ozone spatial correlations. 2Comparison of sentinel lymph node detection performances using blue dye in conjunction with indocyanine green or radioisotope in breast cancer patients: a prospective singlecenter randomized study显示文摘Objective:This randomized study aimed to compare the clinical efficacy between the novel dual tracer composed of indocyanine green(ICG)and blue dye(BD)and the conventional dual tracer composed of radioisotope and BD for sentinel lymph node(SLN)mapping in patients with breast cancer.Methods:This study enrolled 471 clinically lymph node-negative patients with primary breast cancer.All patients underwent mastectomy,and those undergoing sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB)were randomized to receive blue dye plus radioisotope(RB group)or BD plus ICG(IB group).The detection performances on SLN identification rate,positive SLN counts,detection sensitivity,and false-negative rate were compared between the two groups.Results:In the IB group,97%(194/200)of the patients who underwent the ICG and BD dual tracer injection showed fluorescentpositive lymphatic vessels within 2–5 min.The identification rate of SLNs was comparable between the IB group(99.0%,198/200)and the RB group(99.6%,270/271)(P=0.79).No significant differences were observed in the identification rate of metastatic SLNs(22.5%vs.22.9%,P>0.05,RB group vs.IB group,the same below),positive SLN counts(3.72±2.28 vs.3.91±2.13,P>0.05),positive metastatic SLN counts(0.38±0.84 vs.0.34±0.78,P>0.05),SLNB detection sensitivity(94.4%vs.92.5%,P>0.05),or false-negative rate(5.6%vs.7.5%,P>0.05)between the two groups.Conclusions:ICG can be used as a promising alternative tracer for radioisotope in SLN mapping,and when it is combined with BD in lymphangiography,it offers comparable detection sensitivity compared to the conventional lymphatic mapping strategies that are widely used in clinical practice.Long Yuan Xiaowei Qi Yi Zhang Xinhua Yang Fan Zhang Linjun Fan Li Chen Kongyong Zhang Ling Zhong Yanling Li Sijie Gan Wenying Fu Jun Jiang 2018Cancer Biology & Medicine2018,15,4:9
3Effect of corrosive media on galvanic corrosion of complicated tri-metallic couples of 2024 Al alloy/Q235 mild steel/304 stainless steel显示文摘Galvanic corrosion of tri-metallic couples is more complicated than that of bi-metallic couples. In this study, the effect of the pH of corrosive media on the galvanic corrosion of 2024 A1 alloy/Q235 mild steel/304 stainless steel tri-metallic couples was investigated using potentiodynamic polarization, scanning electron microscopy, scanning vibrating electrode technique and a multi-channel galvanic corrosion meter. The results show that 2024 always acts as the only anode in 3.5 wt% NaCl at pH 5.56,9.72 and 12.0, while both Q235 and 2024 act as anodes at pH 2.39 in the initial stage and then the role of Q235 changes at longer coupling time, which can be attributed to the effect of pH on the surface film of 2024. It is also found that the galvanic current density of a tri-metallic couple is the superposition of two bi-metallic couples when cathodic reactions are controlled by the diffusion of oxygen, otherwise it is smaller than that of the sum of two bi-metallic couples. 4Improving the removal of fine particles by chemical agglomeration during the limestone-gypsum wet flue gas desulfurization process显示文摘Coal-fired power plants are considered a major source of fine particle emissions in China.Aimed to improve the removal efficiency of fine particles during the limestone-gypsum wet flue gas desulfurization(WFGD) process, a novel technology using chemical agglomeration to abate the emission of fine particles is presented herein. The relationship between fine particle emission and the proportion of fine particles in the desulfurization slurry was studied.Additionally, the influence of chemical agglomeration on fine particle size distribution, both in the flue gas and slurry was experimentally investigated. When chemical agglomeration agents were added to the desulfurization slurry, the fine particle removal performance as well as the effects of the operation parameters was also explored via the simulated experimental facility.The results revealed that the fine particles in both the desulfurization slurry and flue gas were significantly enlarged after the addition of the agglomeration agents. This was more marked in the submicron particles. Thus, the proportion of fine particles(< 10 μm) in the slurry decreased from 31.1% to 22.6%. An increase in the desulfurization slurry temperature and liquid-to-gas ratio aided the reduction in fine particle emission. Moreover, the addition of an agglomeration agent in the slurry did not affect the desulfurization efficiency of the desulfurization tower and even promoted the WFGD process. 5Investigation on the relationship between the fine particle emission and crystallization characteristics of gypsum during wet flue gas desulfurization process显示文摘The relationship between the fine particles emitted after desulfurization and gypsum crystals in the desulfurization slurry was investigated,and the crystallization characteristics varying with the operation parameters and compositions of the desulfurization slurry were discussed.The results showed that the fine particles generated during the desulfurization process were closely related to the crystal characteristics in the desulfurization slurry by comparison of their morphology and elements. With the higher proportion of fine crystals in the desulfurization slurry,the number concentration of fine particles after desulfurization was increased and their particle sizes were smaller,indicating that the optimization of gypsum crystallization was beneficial for the reduction of the fine particle emission. The lower p H value and an optimal temperature of the desulfurization slurry were beneficial to restrain the generation of fine crystals in the desulfurization slurry. In addition,the higher concentrations of the Fe^(3+)ions and the F^- ions in the desulfurization slurry both promoted the generation of fine crystals with corresponding change of the morphology and the effect of the Fe^(3+) ions was more obvious.With the application of the desulfurization synergist additive,it was beneficial for the inhibition of fine crystals while the thinner crystals were generated.Danping Pan Hao Wu Linjun Yang 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,5:8
6Effect of SiO2 addition on NH4HSO4 decomposition and SO2 poisoning over V2O5-MoO3/TiO2-CeO2 catalyst显示文摘The deposition of NH4 HSO4 and the poisoning effect of SO2 on SCR catalyst are the main obstacles that restrict the industrial application of CeO2-doped SCR catalysts.In this work,deposited NH4 HSO4 decomposition behavior and SO2 poisoning over V2 O5-MoO3/TiO2 catalysts modified with CeO2 and SiO2 were investigated.By the means of characterization analysis,it was found that the addition of SiO2 into VMo/Ti-Ce had an impact on the interaction existed between catalyst surface atoms and NH4 HSO4.Temperatureprogrammed methods and in situ diffused reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(DRIFTS)experiments indicated that the doping of SiO2 promoted the decomposition of deposited NH4 HSO4 on VMo/Ti-Ce catalyst surface by reducing the thermal stability of NH4 HSO4 and enhancing the NH4 HSO4 reactivity with NO in low temperature.And this improvement may be the reason for the better catalytic activity than VMo/Ti-Ce in the case of NH4 HSO4 deposition.Accompanied with cerium sulfate species generated over catalyst surface,the conversion of SO2 to SO3 was inhibited in SiCe mixed catalyst.The addition of SiO2 could promote the decomposition of cerium sulfate,which may be a potential strategy to enhance the resistance of SO2 poisoning over CeO2-modifed catalysts.Chengqiang Zheng Teng Cheng Linjun Yang Hao Wu Hongmei Fan 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,5:6
7Active/passive Q-switching operation of 2 μm Tm,Ho:YAP laser with an acousto-optical Q-switch/MoS_2 saturable absorber mirror显示文摘The active/passive Q-switching operation of a 2 μm a-cut Tm,Ho:YAP laser was experimentally demonstrated with an acousto-optical Q–switch∕MoS_2 saturable absorber mirror. The active Q-switch laser was operated for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, with an average output power of 12.3 W and a maximum pulse energy of 10.3 mJ. 8Brominated dioxins and furans in a cement kiln co-processing municipal solid waste显示文摘A field study and theoretical calculations were performed to clarify the levels, profiles, and distributions of polybrominated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans(PBDD/Fs) in a cement kiln co-processing solid waste, with a focus on the PBDF formation mechanism.The raw materials contributed greatly to input of PBDD/Fs into the cement kiln. The PBDD/F concentrations in the raw materials were much higher than those in particle samples from different process stages in the cement kiln. The PBDD/F concentrations in the clinkers were1.40% of the concentrations in the raw materials, which indicated that the high destruction efficiencies for PBDD/Fs by cement kiln. PBDD/F distribution patterns in particle samples collected from different process stages indicated the cement kiln backend was a major site for PBDD/F formation. PBDFs with high levels of halogenation, such as heptabrominated furans(Hp BDF), were the dominant contributors to the total PBDD/F concentrations and accounted for 42%–73% of the total PBDD/F concentrations in the particle samples. Our results showed that co-processing of municipal solid waste in a cement kiln may influence the congener profile of PBDD/Fs, especially for the higher halogenated PBDD fraction. In addition, there were significant correlations between the decabromodiphenyl ether and heptabrominated furan concentrations, which is an indicator of transformation from polybrominated diphenyl ethers to PBDD/Fs. Theoretical calculations were performed and demonstrated that elimination of HBr and Br_2 from polybrominated diphenyl ethers were the dominant formation pathways for PBDD/Fs. 9Investigation on condensable particulate matter emission characteristics in wet ammonia-based desulfurization system显示文摘Particulate matter emissions from ammonia-based wet flue gas desulfurization(AmmoniaWFGD)systems are composed of a filterable particulate matter and a condensable particulate matter(CPM)portion.However,the CPM part has been ignored for a long time,which results in an underestim ation of the aerosol problems caused by Ammonia-WFGD systems.In our research,the characteristics of the CPM that emits from an Ammonia-WFGD system are investigated experimentally for the first time,with the US Environmental Protection Agency Method 202 employed as the primary measurement.The influences of some essential desulfurizing parameters are evaluated based on the experimental data.The results show that CPM contributes about 68.8%to the total particulate matter emission.CPM consists mainly of ammonium sulfates/sulfites,with the organic part accounting for less than 4%.CPM is mostly in the submicron fraction,about 71.1%of which originates from the NH3-H2O-SO2 reactions.The appropriate adjustments for the parameters of the flue gas and the desulfurizing solution can inhibit CPM formation to different extents.This indicates that the parameter optimizations are promising in solving CPM emission problems in Ammonia-WFGD systems,in which the pH adjustment alone can abate CPM emission by around 49%.The opposite variations of the parameters need attention because they can cause tremendous CPM emission increase.Rongting Huang Hao Wu Linjun Yang 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,6:4

11CO2 capture over molecular basket sorbents:Effects of SiO2 supports and PEG additive显示文摘The objective of this work is to study the influences of silica supports and PEG additive on the sorption performance of molecular basket sorbent(MBS) for CO_2 capture consisting of polyethylenimine and one of the following supports: SBA-15(2-D structure), TUD-1(3-D sponge-like structure) and fumed silica HS-5(3-D disordered structure). Effects of the supports regarding pore structures and pore properties, the PEI loading amount as well as the sorption temperature were examined. Furthermore, polyethylene glycol(PEG) was introduced as an additive into the sorbents and its effect was investigated at different PEI loadings and sorption temperatures. The results suggest that the pore properties of MBS(after PEI loading) play a more important role in the CO_2 sorption capacity, rather than those of the supports alone.MBS with 3D pore structure exhibits higher CO_2 sorption capacity and amine efficiency than those with 2D-structured support. Among the sorbents studied, fumed silica(HS-5) based MBS showed the highest CO_2 sorption capacity in the temperature range of 30-95 °C, probably due to its unique interstitial pores formed by the aggregation of polymer-loaded SiO_2 particles. It was found that the temperature dependence is directly related to the PEI surface coverage layers. The more PEI surface coverage layers, the higher diffusion barrier for CO_2 and the stronger temperature dependence of CO_2 capacity. 3D MBS exceeds 2D MBS at the same PEI coverage layers due to lower diffusion barrier. 12The Role of Diesel Soot in the Tribological Behavior of 150SN Base Oil显示文摘The diesel soot was collected from diesel engine exhaust pipe. The morphology and structure of the collected diesel soot was characterized by HRTEM, XRD and XPS and its tribological behavior was investigated by a SRV IV oscillating reciprocating friction and wear tester. Test results showed that the tribological behavior of diesel soot was largely influenced by the test load. Under a low load, the diesel soot could reduce the wear volume of the disc. While under a high load, the diesel soot could reduce the friction coefficient of base oil. Based on the characterization of the worn scars by the SEM technique, the 3D surface profiler and the Raman spectroscopy, it was assumed that the core-shell structure of diesel soot with several graphitic layers played important roles. On one hand, its spherical and special structure could make it roll between friction pairs to reduce wear under a low load. 13APOBEC3B and IL-6 form a positive feedback loop in hepatocellular carcinoma cells显示文摘APOBEC3 protein families, a DNA cytidine deaminase, were up-regulated in multiple tumors. However, the relationship between Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) and APOBEC3B(A3B) remains unknown. It has been confirmed that interleukin-6(IL-6)has significant impacts on oncogenesis of HCC. Here, we reported that the expression of IL-6 was substantially up-regulated by A3 B in HepG2 cells. A3 B induced IL-6 expression through relocating HuR to enhance the IL-6 mRNA stability. Further analysis indicated that IL-6 also increased the expression of A3 B through JAK1/STAT3 signaling pathway, which formed a positive feedback to maintain the continuous expression of A3 B and IL-6, and thereby promoted the prolonged non-resolving inflammation. 15Emerging phagocytosis checkpoints in cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Cancer immunotherapy,mainly including immune checkpoints-targeted therapy and the adoptive transfer of engineered immune cells,has revolutionized the oncology landscape as it utilizes patients’own immune systems in combating the cancer cells.Cancer cells escape immune surveillance by hijacking the corresponding inhibitory pathways via overexpressing checkpoint genes.Phagocytosis checkpoints,such as CD47,CD24,MHC-I,PD-L1,STC-1 and GD2,have emerged as essential checkpoints for cancer immunotherapy by functioning as“don’t eat me”signals or interacting with“eat me”signals to suppress immune responses.Phagocytosis checkpoints link innate immunity and adaptive immunity in cancer immunotherapy.Genetic ablation of these phagocytosis checkpoints,as well as blockade of their signaling pathways,robustly augments phagocytosis and reduces tumor size.Among all phagocytosis checkpoints,CD47 is the most thoroughly studied and has emerged as a rising star among targets for cancer treatment.CD47-targeting antibodies and inhibitors have been investigated in various preclinical and clinical trials.However,anemia and thrombocytopenia appear to be formidable challenges since CD47 is ubiquitously expressed on erythrocytes.Here,we review the reported phagocytosis checkpoints by discussing their mechanisms and functions in cancer immunotherapy,highlight clinical progress in targeting these checkpoints and discuss challenges and potential solutions to smooth the way for combination immunotherapeutic strategies that involve both innate and adaptive immune responses.Yu’e Liu Yanjin Wang Yanrong Yang Linjun Weng Qi Wu Jin Zhang Pengcheng Zhao Lan Fang Yufeng Shi Ping Wang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,4:1
