1Effect of corrosive media on galvanic corrosion of complicated tri-metallic couples of 2024 Al alloy/Q235 mild steel/304 stainless steel显示文摘Galvanic corrosion of tri-metallic couples is more complicated than that of bi-metallic couples. In this study, the effect of the pH of corrosive media on the galvanic corrosion of 2024 A1 alloy/Q235 mild steel/304 stainless steel tri-metallic couples was investigated using potentiodynamic polarization, scanning electron microscopy, scanning vibrating electrode technique and a multi-channel galvanic corrosion meter. The results show that 2024 always acts as the only anode in 3.5 wt% NaCl at pH 5.56,9.72 and 12.0, while both Q235 and 2024 act as anodes at pH 2.39 in the initial stage and then the role of Q235 changes at longer coupling time, which can be attributed to the effect of pH on the surface film of 2024. It is also found that the galvanic current density of a tri-metallic couple is the superposition of two bi-metallic couples when cathodic reactions are controlled by the diffusion of oxygen, otherwise it is smaller than that of the sum of two bi-metallic couples. 2Brominated dioxins and furans in a cement kiln co-processing municipal solid waste显示文摘A field study and theoretical calculations were performed to clarify the levels, profiles, and distributions of polybrominated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans(PBDD/Fs) in a cement kiln co-processing solid waste, with a focus on the PBDF formation mechanism.The raw materials contributed greatly to input of PBDD/Fs into the cement kiln. The PBDD/F concentrations in the raw materials were much higher than those in particle samples from different process stages in the cement kiln. The PBDD/F concentrations in the clinkers were1.40% of the concentrations in the raw materials, which indicated that the high destruction efficiencies for PBDD/Fs by cement kiln. PBDD/F distribution patterns in particle samples collected from different process stages indicated the cement kiln backend was a major site for PBDD/F formation. PBDFs with high levels of halogenation, such as heptabrominated furans(Hp BDF), were the dominant contributors to the total PBDD/F concentrations and accounted for 42%–73% of the total PBDD/F concentrations in the particle samples. Our results showed that co-processing of municipal solid waste in a cement kiln may influence the congener profile of PBDD/Fs, especially for the higher halogenated PBDD fraction. In addition, there were significant correlations between the decabromodiphenyl ether and heptabrominated furan concentrations, which is an indicator of transformation from polybrominated diphenyl ethers to PBDD/Fs. Theoretical calculations were performed and demonstrated that elimination of HBr and Br_2 from polybrominated diphenyl ethers were the dominant formation pathways for PBDD/Fs. 3Molecular dynamics simulation of chip formation mechanism in single-crystal nickel nanomachining显示文摘Nanometric machining simulations of single-crystal nickel were performed using molecular dynamics.The atomic displacement vector method was applied to study the relationship between defect displacement vectors and the crystal slip system during different deformation stages as well as the displacement trend characteristics of workpiece atoms under different deformations.The arrangement characteristics of atoms in the machining region,relative density of atoms at different machining zones,and proportion of different atoms were investigated in detail.In addition,the atom shunt phenomenon was observed by studying the displacement trend of the atoms adjacent to the machining tool,and a method for determining the location of the shunt point was determined.Moreover,direct evidence of crystal transition caused by temperature was obtained.The effects of machining depth on workpiece damage,surface flatness,and workpiece temperature were investigated.With increasing machining depth,the chip gradually changed from spherical to strip-shaped,the damage depth of workpiece gradually increased,but the atomic arrangement of the machined surface became neater.Simultaneously,the dislocation reaction of subsurface defects was studied,and the rationality of the reaction was analyzed using an energy criterion.Furthermore,the overall temperature of the workpiece increased,but the temperature of the chip part gradually decreased.ZHU ZongXiao PENG Bin FENG RuiCheng WANG LinJun JIAO Shi DONG Yun 2019Science China(Technological Sciences)2019,62,11:2

8Emerging phagocytosis checkpoints in cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Cancer immunotherapy,mainly including immune checkpoints-targeted therapy and the adoptive transfer of engineered immune cells,has revolutionized the oncology landscape as it utilizes patients’own immune systems in combating the cancer cells.Cancer cells escape immune surveillance by hijacking the corresponding inhibitory pathways via overexpressing checkpoint genes.Phagocytosis checkpoints,such as CD47,CD24,MHC-I,PD-L1,STC-1 and GD2,have emerged as essential checkpoints for cancer immunotherapy by functioning as“don’t eat me”signals or interacting with“eat me”signals to suppress immune responses.Phagocytosis checkpoints link innate immunity and adaptive immunity in cancer immunotherapy.Genetic ablation of these phagocytosis checkpoints,as well as blockade of their signaling pathways,robustly augments phagocytosis and reduces tumor size.Among all phagocytosis checkpoints,CD47 is the most thoroughly studied and has emerged as a rising star among targets for cancer treatment.CD47-targeting antibodies and inhibitors have been investigated in various preclinical and clinical trials.However,anemia and thrombocytopenia appear to be formidable challenges since CD47 is ubiquitously expressed on erythrocytes.Here,we review the reported phagocytosis checkpoints by discussing their mechanisms and functions in cancer immunotherapy,highlight clinical progress in targeting these checkpoints and discuss challenges and potential solutions to smooth the way for combination immunotherapeutic strategies that involve both innate and adaptive immune responses.Yu’e Liu Yanjin Wang Yanrong Yang Linjun Weng Qi Wu Jin Zhang Pengcheng Zhao Lan Fang Yufeng Shi Ping Wang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,4:1

15Hydrocarbon accumulation characteristics in basement reservoirs and exploration targets of deep basement reservoirs in onshore China显示文摘Based on the global basement reservoir database and the dissection of basement reservoirs in China,the characteristics of hydrocarbon accumulation in basement reservoirs are analyzed,and the favorable conditions for hydrocarbon accumulation in deep basement reservoirs are investigated to highlight the exploration targets.The discovered basement reservoirs worldwide are mainly buried in the Archean and Precambrian granitic and metamorphic formations with depths less than 4500 m,and the relatively large reservoirs have been found in rift,back-arc and foreland basins in tectonic active zones of the Meso-Cenozoic plates.The hydrocarbon accumulation in basement reservoirs exhibits the characteristics in three aspects.First,the porous-fractured reservoirs with low porosity and ultra-low permeability are dominant,where extensive hydrocarbon accumulation occurred during the weathering denudation and later tectonic reworking of the basin basement.High resistance to compaction allows the physical properties of these highly heterogeneous reservoirs to be independent of the buried depth.Second,the hydrocarbons were sourced from the formations outside the basement.The source-reservoir assemblages are divided into contacted source rock-basement and separated source rock-basement patterns.Third,the abnormal high pressure in the source rock and the normal–low pressure in the basement reservoirs cause a large pressure difference between the source rock and the reservoirs,which is conducive to the pumping effect of hydrocarbons in the deep basement.The deep basement prospects are mainly evaluated by the factors such as tectonic activity of basement,source-reservoir combination,development of large deep faults(especially strike-slip faults),and regional seals.The Precambrian crystalline basements at the margin of the intracontinental rifts in cratonic basins,as well as the Paleozoic folded basements and the Meso-Cenozoic fault-block basements adjacent to the hydrocarbon generation depressions,have favorable conditions for hydrocarbon accumulation,and thus they are considered as the main targets for future exploration of deep basement reservoirs.WANG Zecheng JIANG Qingchun WANG Jufeng LONG Guohui CHENG Honggang SHI Yizuo SUN Qisen JIANG Hua ABULIMITI Yiming CAO Zhenglin XU Yang LU Jiamin HUANG Linjun 2024Petroleum Exploration and Development2024,51,1:0
16Development and validation of a risk model for noninvasive detection of cancer in oral potentially malignant disorders using DNA image cytometry显示文摘Objective:To elucidate whether DNA aneuploidy was an independent discriminator for carcinoma within oral potentially malignant disorders(OPMDs),and further establish and validate a risk model based on DNA aneuploidy for the detection of oral cancer.Methods:A total of 810 consecutive patients with OPMD were prospectively enrolled from March 2013 to December 2018,and divided into a training set(n=608)and a test set(n=202).Brushing and biopsy samples from each patient were processed by DNADNA image cytometry and histopathological examination,respectively.Results:DNA aneuploidy of an outside DNA index≥3.5 in OPMD was an independent marker strongly associated with malignant risk[adjusted odds ratio:13.04;95%confidence interval(CI):5.46-31.14].In the training and test sets,the area under the curve(AUC)was 0.87(95%CI:0.82-0.91)and 0.77(95%CI:0.57-0.97),respectively,for detecting carcinoma in OPMD patients.The independent risk factors of lateral/ventral tongue and non-homogenous type combined with a risk model built with a multivariate logistic regression revealed a more favorable diagnostic efficacy associated with the training set(AUC:0.93;95%CI:0.91-0.96)and test set(AUC:0.94;95%CI:0.90-0.98).The sensitivity and specificity of carcinoma detection within OPMD was improved to 100%and 88.1%,respectively.Conclusions:This large-scale diagnostic study established a risk model based on DNA aneuploidy that consisted of a noninvasive strategy with lateral/ventral tongue and non-homogenous features.The results showed favorable diagnostic efficacy for detecting carcinoma within OPMD,irrespective of the clinical and pathological diagnoses of OPMD.Multicenter validation and longitudinal studies are warranted to evaluate community practices and clinical applications.Chenxi Li Yongmei Zhou Yiwen Deng Xuemin Shen Linjun Shi Wei Liu 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,3:0
