1Chemical looping combustion: A new low-dioxin energy conversion technology显示文摘Dioxin production is a worldwide concern because of its persistence and carcinogenic,teratogenic, and mutagenic effects. The pyrolysis-chemical looping combustion process of disposing solid waste is an alternative to traditional solid waste incineration developed to reduce the dioxin production. Based on the equilibrium composition of the Deacon reaction,pyrolysis gas oxidized by seven common oxygen carriers, namely, Cu O, Ni O, Ca SO_4, Co O,Fe_2O_3, Mn_3O_4, and Fe Ti O_3, is studied and compared with the pyrolysis gas directly combusted by air. The result shows that the activity of the Deacon reaction for oxygen carriers is lower than that for air. For four typical oxygen carriers(Cu O, Ni O, Fe_2O_3, and Fe Ti O_3), the influences of temperature, pressure, gas composition, and tar on the Deacon reaction are discussed in detail. According to these simulation results, the dioxin production in China, Europe, the United States, and Japan is predicted for solid waste disposal by the pyrolysis-chemical looping combustion process. 2Effects of Rat Cytomegalovirus on the Nervous System of the Early Rat Embryo显示文摘The purpose of the study was to investigate the impact of rat cytomegalovirus(RCMV) infection on the development of the nervous system in rat embryos,and to evaluate the involvement of Wnt signaling pathway key molecules and the downstream gene neurogenin 1(Ngn1) in RCMV infected neural stem cells(NSCs).Infection and control groups were established,each containing 20 pregnant Wistar rats.Rats in the infection group were inoculated with RCMV by intraperitoneal injection on the first day of pregnancy.Rat E20 embryos were taken to evaluate the teratogenic rate.NSCs were isolated from E13 embryos,and maintained in vitro.We found:1) Poor fetal development was found in the infection group with low survival and high malformation rates.2) The proliferation and differentiation of NSCs were affected.In the infection group,NSCs proliferated more slowly and had a lower neurosphere formation rate than the control.The differentiation ratio from NSCs to neurons and glial cells was significantly different from that of the control,showed by immunofluorescence staining.3) Ngn1 mRNA expression and the nuclear β-catenin protein level were significantly lower than the control on day 2 when NSCs differentiated.4) The Morris water maze test was performed on 4-week pups,and the infected rats were found worse in learning and memory ability.In a summary,RCMV infection caused abnormalities in the rat embryonic nervous system,significantly inhibited NSC proliferation and differentiation,and inhibited the expression of key molecules in the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway so as to affect NSCs differentiation.This may be an important mechanism by which RCMV causes embryonic nervous system abnormalities.Xiuning Sun YingJun Guan Fengjie Li Xutong Li Xiaowen Wang Zhiyu Guan Kai Sheng Li Yu Zhijun Liu 2012Virologica Sinica2012,27,4:4

12Integrative genomic and transcriptomic profiling of pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma identifies molecular subtypes associated with distinct immune features and clinical outcomes显示文摘Background:Pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma(PSC)is a rare and aggressive subtype of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),characterized by the presence of epithelial and sarcoma-like components.The molecular and immune landscape of PSC has not been well defined.Methods:Multiomics profiling of 21 pairs of PSCs with matched normal lung tissues was performed through targeted high-depth DNA panel,whole-exome,and RNA sequencing.We describe molecular and immune features that define subgroups of PSC with disparate genomic and immunogenic features as well as distinct clinical outcomes.Results:In total,27 canonical cancer gene mutations were identified,with TP53 the most frequently mutated gene,followed by KRAS.Interestingly,most TP53 and KRAS mutations were earlier genomic events mapped to the trunks of the tumors,suggesting branching evolution in most PSC tumors.We identified two distinct molecular subtypes of PSC,driven primarily by immune infiltration and signaling.The Immune High(IM-H)subtype was associated with superior survival,highlighting the impact of immune infiltration on the biological and clinical features of localized PSCs.Conclusions:We provided detailed insight into the mutational landscape of PSC and identified two molecular subtypes associated with prognosis.IM-H tumors were associated with favorable recurrence-free survival and overall survival,highlighting the importance of tumor immune infiltration in the biological and clinical features of PSCs.Sahil Seth Runzhe Chen Yang Liu Junya Fujimoto Lingzhi Hong Alexandre Reuben Susan Varghese Carmen Behrens Tina McDowell Luisa Solis Soto Cara Haymaker Annikka Weissferdt Neda Kalhor Jia Wu Xiuning Le Natalie I Vokes Chao Cheng John V.Heymach Don L.Gibbons P.Andrew Futreal Ignacio IWistuba Humam Kadara Jianhua Zhang Cesar Moran Jianjun Zhang 2024Cancer Innovation2024,3,3:0
13Acid Orange 7 degradation using methane as the sole carbon source and electron donor显示文摘Azo dyes are widely applied in the textile industry but are not entirely consumed during the dyeing process and can thus be discharged to the environment in wastewater.However,azo dyes can be degraded using various electron donors,and in this paper,Acid Orange 7(AO7)degradation performance is investigated using methane(CH4)as the sole electron donor.Methane has multiple sources and is readily available and inexpensive.Experiments using ^(13)C-labeled isotopes showed that AO7 degradation was coupled with anaerobic oxidation of methane(AOM)and,subsequently,affected by the initial concentrations of AO7.Higher concentrations of AO7 could inhibit the activity of microorganisms,which was confirmed by the long-term performance of AO7 degradation,with maximum removal rates of 8.94 mg/(L·d)in a batch reactor and 280 mg/(L·d)in a hollow fiber membrane bioreactor(HfMBR).High-throughput sequencing using 16S rRNA genes showed that Candidatus Methanoperedens,affiliated to ANME-2d,dominated the microbial community in the batch reactor and HfMBR.Additionally,the relative abundance of Proteobacteria bacteria(Phenylobacterium,Pseudomonas,and Geothermobacter)improved after AO7 degradation.This outcome suggested that ANME-2d alone,or acting synergistically with partner bacteria,played a key role in the process of AO7 degradation coupled with AOM.Yanan Bai Xiuning Wang Fang Zhang Raymond Jianxiong Zeng 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,3:0

16Phase engineering in NaNbO_(3) antiferroelectrics for high energystorage density显示文摘The NaNbO_(3) antiferroelectrics have been considered as a potential candidate for dielectric capacitorsapplications. However, the high-electric-field-unstable antiferroelectric phase resulted in low energystorage density and efficiency. Herein, good energy storage properties were realized in (1-x)NaNbO_(3)- xNaTaO_(3) ceramics, by building a new phase boundary. As a result, a high recoverable energy density(Wrec) of 2.2 J/cm3 and efficiency (h) of 80.1% were achieved in 0.50NaNbO_(3)-0.50NaTaO_(3) ceramic at300 kV/cm. The excellent energy storage performance originates from an antiferroelectric-paraelectricphase boundary with simultaneously high polarization and low hysteresis, by tailoring the ratio ofantiferroelectric and paraelectric phases. Moreover, the 0.50NaNbO_(3)-0.50NaTaO_(3) ceramic also exhibitedgood temperature and frequency stability, together with excellent charge-discharge performance. 17Minimal feasible sets in variable resource constrained projects显示文摘To determine the reasonable resource dependent relations between activities for the purpose of exactly computing the total floats and the free floats of activities,correctly identifying critical activities and critical sequences in a project schedule with variable resource constraints,the concept of the minimal feasible set(MFS) is proposed and the properties of MFS are discussed.The methods to identify optimal MFSs and resource links are then studied. 18Transient positive antimitochondrial M2 in sera of patients with connective tissue diseases after intravenous immunoglobulin infusions显示文摘Background:Although antinuclear antibodies(ANAs),anti‐SSA and anti‐Ro52,are present in immunoglobulin preparations,it is unknown whether intravenous immunoglobulin(IVIG)therapy influences the testing of serum autoantibodies in patients with connective tissue diseases(CTDs).The present study aimed to investigate the dynamic change over time of serum ANA‐related autoantibodies in patients with CTDs receiving IVIG therapy.Methods:Serum ANA‐related autoantibodies were monitored in two patients with CTD before IVIG therapy and at different times after therapy.These autoantibodies were tested in different batches of immunoglobulin preparations from seven pharmaceutical companies.Results:One patient developed a new ANA pattern(cytoplasmic dense fine speckled pattern,AC‐19)just after IVIG therapy.Both patients developed de novo positivity for AMA‐M2 and anti‐SSA,but returned negative 1 month after IVIG therapy.The residual liquid in patients'immunoglobulin preparations showed positive ANAs with a high titer of AC‐19(1:640),a low titer of the nuclear fine speckled pattern(AC‐4,1:80),positive AMA‐M2,and positive anti‐SSA.ANA‐related autoantibodies were tested in 16 batches of immunoglobulin preparations and all had positive ANAs with two patterns:AC‐19(1:640 or 1:320)and AC‐4(1:80).AMA‐M2 and anti‐SSA were positive in 100%of the batches.Conclusion:Our study highlights high‐titer AMA‐M2 autoantibodies in immunoglobulin preparations and suggests their transient transfer into a patient's circulation via IVIG therapy.To avoid incorrect clinical decisions based on postinfusion antibody titers,our data recommend retesting 1–2 months after high‐dose IVIG immunomodulatory treatment.Lijuan Yang Xiuning Wei Qianhua Li Honggui Li Zhiming Ouyang Aiqi Zeng Donghui Zheng Lie Dai Yingqian Mo 2022Rheumatology & Autoimmunity2022,2,4:0
