2Advances and challenges in the treatment of esophageal cancer显示文摘Esophageal cancer(EC)is one of the most common cancers with high morbidity and mortality rates.EC includes two histological subtypes,namely esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)and esophageal adenocarcinoma(EAC).ESCC primarily occurs in East Asia,whereas EAC occurs in Western countries.The currently available treatment strategies for EC include surgery,chemotherapy,radiation therapy,molecular targeted therapy,and combinations thereof.However,the prognosis remains poor,and the overall five-year survival rate is very low.Therefore,achieving the goal of effective treatment remains challenging.In this review,we discuss the latest developments in chemotherapy and molecular targeted therapy for EC,and comprehensively analyze the application prospects and existing problems of immunotherapy.Collectively,this review aims to provide a better understanding of the currently available drugs through in-depth analysis,promote the development of new therapeutic agents,and eventually improve the treatment outcomes of patients with EC.Shiming He Jian Xu Xiujun Liu Yongsu Zhen 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,11:26
3Spatio-temporal Changes of ≥10℃ Accumulated Temperature in Northeastern China since 1961显示文摘The objective of this study was to provide reliable basis for decision making for national food security and layout and structure adjustment of grain production in the northeastern China. The data of mean daily air temperature of 1961-2009 from 106 meteorological stations in the northeastern China were chosen in this study. Using statistical methods and isoline method, the spatio-temporal changes of various decadal ≥ 10℃ accumulated temperature and the climatic means of ≥ 10℃ accumulated temperature were studied in this paper. The results showed that 1) The geo-graphical distribution of ≥ 10℃ accumulated temperature in the northeastern China could be influenced directly by the latitude, longitude and altitude. If latitude moved one degree northward, the average decrease amplitude of the climatic means was 101.9℃ in the study area. 2) The means of decadal ≥ 10℃ accumulated temperature rose since the 1980s, and their increase amplitudes became larger in the 1990s and the 2010s obviously. Compared with those of the 1980s, ≥ 10℃ accumulated temperature increased by about 100℃ in the mountainous and plain areas in the 1990s; compared with those of the 1990s, ≥ 10℃ accumulated temperature increased by about 200℃ in the Hulun Buir High Plain and the Songnen Plain, and 100℃ in the Sanjiang Plain and the Liaohe Plain in the 2010s. 3) The means of the decadal ≥ 10℃ accumulated temperature for 106 meteorological stations in the northeastern China increased with the rate of 145.57℃/10yr in 1961-2009. 4) The climatic means of ≥ 10℃ accumulated temperature increased from 1961-1990 to 1971-2000 and 1981-2009. Compared with the climatic mean of 1971-2000, that of 1981-2009 had increased by above 50℃ in most of the study area, even up to 156℃. Compared with the climatic mean of 1961-1990, that of 1981-2009 increased by above 100℃ in most parts of the study area, even up to 200℃. 5) The maximum northward shift, eastward and westward extension amplitudes of 3100℃, 3300℃ and 3500℃ isolines were larger among all isoli-nes for the climatic means of the three phases. 4Electroacupuncture alters pain-related behaviors and expression of spinal prostaglandin E_2 in a rat model of neuropathic pain显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the role of spinal prostaglandin E_2(PGE_2) in electroacupuncture(EA) analgesia and assess the theoretical basis for selection of acupoints in the treatment of neuropathic pain.METHODS: A rat model of neuropathic pain was established. Rats were randomly divided into normal,model, sham, EA 1, EA 2, and EA 3 groups. In EA 1group, the rats were needled at bilateral L5 Jiaji(EX-B2), Dachangshu(BL 25), Weizhong(BL 40) and Kunlun(BL 60). In EA 2 group, the rats were needled at bilateral Weizhong(BL 40) and Kunlun(BL60). In EA 3 group, the rats were needled at bilateral L5 Jiaji(EX-B2) and Dachangshu(BL 25). EA stimulation was administered once daily over 7 days. Motor function and thermal withdrawal latencies were evaluated at 1 day preoperatively and at 3, 5, and 7 days postoperatively. After 7 days of intervention,enzyme-linked immunosorbnent assay(ELISA) was used to quantify the expression of the spinal PGE_2.RESULTS: Rats in the model group exhibited evident hyperalgesia in responses to thermal withdrawal latencies compared with those in the control group(P < 0.01), and EA reversed thermal withdrawal latencies(P < 0.01). 6Clinical Observation of Transepithelial Corneal Collagen Cross-linking by Iontophoresis of Riboflavin in Treatment of Keratoconus显示文摘Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of transepithelial collagen cross-linking by iontophoretic delivery of riboflavin in treatment of progressive keratoconus.Methods:.Eleven patients(15 eyes) with progressive keratoconus were enrolled. After 0.1% riboflavin-distilled water solution was deliveried via transepithelial iontophpresis for 5 min with 1 m A current, and ultraviolet radiation(370 nm,.3 m W /cm2) was performed at a 1.5 cm distance for 30 min. The follow up were 6 months in all eyes. The uncorrected visual acuity, corrected visual acuity,endothelial cell counting, corneal thickness,.intraocular pressure, corneal curvature, corneal topography,.OCT and corneal opacity before and 6-month after surgery were analyzed.Results: At 6 month postoperatively, mean uncorrected visual acuity and corrected visual acuity changed from 0.36 to 0.30 and from 0.42 to 0.57 without statistical significance..The mean value of each index of corneal curvature declined without statistical significance.Kmax value dereased from 60.91 to59.91, and the astigmatism declined from 3.86 to 3.19. Central corneal thickness decreased from 460.93 μm to 455.40μm,.and thinnest corneal thickness declined from 450.87 μm to 440.60 μm with no statistical significance..Intraocular pressure was significantly elevated from 10.85 mm Hg to 12.62 mm Hg. Endothelial cell count did not change significantly. No corneal haze occurred. 7Diurnal and Seasonal Dynamics of Soil Respiration at Temperate Leymus Chinensis Meadow Steppes in Western Songnen Plain, China显示文摘To evaluate the diurnal and seasonal variations in soil respiration(Rs) and understand the controlling factors, we measured carbon dioxide(CO2) fluxes and their environmental variables using a LI-6400 soil CO2 flux system at a temperate Leymus chinensis meadow steppe in the western Songnen Plain of China in the growing season(May–October) in 2011 and 2012. The diurnal patterns of soil respiration could be expressed as single peak curves, reaching to the maximum at 11:00–15:00 and falling to the minimum at 21:00–23:00(or before dawn). The time-window between 7:00 and 9:00 could be used as the optimal measuring time to represent the daily mean soil CO2 efflux. In the growing season, the daily value of soil CO2 efflux was moderate in late spring(1.06–2.51 μmol/(m2·s) in May), increased sharply and presented a peak in summer(2.95–3.94 μmol/(m2·s) in July), and then decreased in autumn(0.74–0.97 μmol/(m2·s) in October). Soil temperature(Ts) exerted dominant control on the diurnal and seasonal variations of soil respiration. The temperature sensitivity of soil respiration(Q10) exhibited a large seasonal variation, ranging from 1.35 to 3.32, and decreased with an increasing soil temperature. Rs gradually increased with increasing soil water content(Ws) and tended to decrease when Ws exceeded the optimum water content(27%) of Rs. 8Boceprevir,GC-376,and calpain inhibitors Ⅱ,Ⅻ inhibit SARS-CoV-2 viral replication by targeting the viral main protease显示文摘A new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2,also called novel coronavirus 2019(2019-nCoV),started to circulate among humans around December 2019,and it is now widespread as a global pandemic.The disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus is called COVID-19,which is highly contagious and has an overall mortality rate of 6.35%as of May 26,2020.There is no vaccine or antiviral available for SARS-CoV-2.In this study,we report our discovery of inhibitors targeting the SARS-CoV-2 main protease(Mpro).Using the FRET-based enzymatic assay,several inhibitors including boceprevir,GC-376,and calpain inhibitorsⅡ,andⅫwere identified to have potent activity with single-digit to submicromolar ICs0 values in the enzymatic assay.The mechanism of action of the hits was further characterized using enzyme kinetic studies,thermal shift binding assays,and native mass spectrometry.Significantly,four compounds(boceprevir,GC-376,calpain inhibitorsⅡandⅫ)inhibit SARS-CoV-2 viral replication in cell culture with EC50 values ranging from 0.49 to 3.37μM.Notably,boceprevir,calpain inhibitorsⅡandⅫrepresent novel chemotypes that are distinct from known substrate-based peptidomimetic Mpro inhibitors.A complex crystal structure of SARS-CoV-2 Mpro with GC-376,determined at 2.15(A)resolution with three protomers per asymmetric unit,revealed two unique binding configurations,shedding light on the molecular interactions and protein conformational flexibility underlying substrate and inhibitor binding by Mpro.Overall,the compounds identified herein provide promising starting points for the further development of SARS-CoV-2 therapeutics.Chunlong Ma Michael Dominic Sacco Brett Hurst Julia Alma Townsend Yanmei Hu Tommy Szeto Xiujun Zhang Bart Tarbet Michael Thomas Marty Yu Chen Jun Wang 2020Cell Research2020,30,8:13

10Fracture evolution characteristics of sandstone containing double fissures and a single circular hole under uniaxial compression显示文摘The uniaxial compression experiments on the sandstone samples containing double fissures and a single circular hole were carried out by using electro-hydraulic servo universal testing machine to investigate the effect of rock bridge angle β and fissure angle α on mechanical properties and evolution characteristics of cracks.The results show that the peak strength,peak strain and elastic modulus of defected specimens decrease comparing with those for intact sample,and show a decreased trend firstly and then increase with β changing from 0° to 90°.The peak strength and elastic modulus achieve the minimum value as the rock bridge angle is 60°,while the peak strain reaches the minimum value with the rock bridge angle of 45°.The crack initiation of tested rock samples occurs firstly in stress concentration areas at tips of prefabricated fissures under uniaxial compression,and then propagates constantly and coalescences with the prefabricated hole.Some secondary cracks initiate and propagate as well until buckling failure happens.The rock bridge angle has a great influence on crack initiation,coalescence,final failure mode,crack initiation stress and transfixion stress.The peak strength varies significantly,while the elastic modulus and peak strain change slightly,and the failure modes are also different due to the influence of fissure angle.Chen Minliang Jing Hongwen Ma Xiujun Su Haijian Du Mingrui Zhu Tantan 2017International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2017,27,3:11
11Restoration and Rational Use of Degraded Saline Reed Wetlands:A Case Study in Western Songnen Plain, China显示文摘The protection, restoration and sustainable use are key issues of all the wetlands worldwide. Ecological, agronomic, and engineering techniques have been integrated in the development of a structurally sound, ecologically beneficial engineering restoration method for restoring and utilizing a degraded saline wetland in the western Songnen Plain of China. Hydrological restoration was performed by developing a system of biannual irrigation and drainage using civil engineering measures to bring wetlands into contact with river water and improve the irrigation and drainage system in the wetlands. Agronomic measures such as plowing the reed fields, reed rhizome transplantation, and fertilization were used to restore the reed vegetation. Biological measures, including the release of crab and fish fry and natural proliferation, were used to restore the aquatic communities. The results of the restoration were clear and positive. By the year 2009, the reed yield had increased by 20.9 times. Remarkable ecological benefits occurred simultaneously. Vegetation primary-production capacity increased, local climate regulation and water purification enhanced, and biodiversity increased. This demonstration of engineering techniques illustrates the basic route for the restoration of degraded wetlands, that the biodiversity should be reconstructed by the comprehensive application of engineering, biological, and agronomic measures based on habitat restoration under the guidance of process-oriented strategies. 13Iontophoretic Delivery of Riboflavin into the Rabbit Cornea:a Primary Study显示文摘Purpose: To determine the penetrability of riboflavin into the corneal stroma by iontophoresis and to compare the permeability effects of different solvents.Methods: Twenty rabbits were randomly divided into four groups: a group that received 0.1% riboflavin-balanced salt solution(BSS) by iontophoresis, a group that received 0.1%riboflavin-saline solution by iontophoresis, a group that received 0.1% riboflavin-distilled water solution by iontophoresis, and a control group that received classical riboflavin instillation after corneal de-epithelialization. The degree of yellowing of the de-epithelialized corneal stromal button from each rabbit was compared.Results: The yellow color scores for the corneal stromal buttons in the three iontophoresis groups were compared with those of control group. Iontophoretic delivery of a 0.1% riboflavin-distilled water solution yielded similar yellow changes in the corneal stromal button when compared with classical riboflavin instillation after de-epithelialization. However, the other two solvents did not sufficiently enhance the permeability of riboflavin.Conclusion: Riboflavin can effectively penetrate into the corneal stroma to saturation levels by iontophoresis. 15Rapid eutectic growth during free fall显示文摘Rapid eutectic growth of Sb-24%Cu alloy is realized in the drop tube during the free fall under the con-tainerless condition. Based on the analysis of crystal nuclea-tion and eutectic growth in the free fall condition, it is indicated that, with the increase of undercooling, microstruc-tural transition of Sb-24%Cu eutectic alloy proceeds from lamellar to anomalous eutectic structure. Undercoolings of 0 -154 K have been obtained in experiment. The maximum undercooling exceeds to 0.19TE. Calculated results exhibit that Cu2Sb compound is the primary nucleation phase, and that the primary Sb dendrite will grow more rapidly than the eutectic structure when undercooling is larger than 40 K. 16A method of multichannel chaotic phase modulation spread spectrum and its application in underwater acoustic communication显示文摘Direct-sequence spread spectrum(DSSS) communication possesses low probability of detection and has been widely used in confidential communications.However,pseudo-noise(PN) sequences,used as spreading code in conventional DSSS communications,possess periodic character and binary value.In hostile environments,these distinct characters may lead to some important parameters of signals being estimated accurately,and then lead to the leakage of transmitted information.To solve the problem,we propose the chaotic phase modulation(CPM) sequence alternating the PN sequences.CPM sequence has complex values and constant envelope,and also possesses large quantity and good correlation characteristics.Moreover,it has more hidden features than conventional sequences by modulating its phases using chaotic sequence.To improve the data rate,we apply it into the technique of multichannel communication.Simulation results show this scheme's superior bit error ratio(BER) performance,which demonstrates its feasibility in underwater acoustic communications.SHU Xiujun WANG Haibin WANG Jun YANG Xiaoxia 2017Chinese Journal of Acoustics2017,36,1:7
17Evolution of a mining induced fracture network in the overburden strata of an inclined coal seam显示文摘The geological conditions of the Pingdingshan coal mining group were used to construct a physical model used to study the distribution and evolution of mining induced cracks in the overburden strata.Digital graphics technology and fractal theory are introduced to characterize the distribution and growth of the mining induced fractures in the overburden strata of an inclined coal seam.A relationship between fractal dimension of the fracture network and the pressure in the overburden strata is suggested.Mining induced fractures spread dynamically to the mining face and up into the roof as the length of advance increases.Moreover,the fractal dimension of the fracture network increases with increased mining length,in general,but decreases during a period from overburden strata separation until the main roof collapses.It is a1so shown that overburden strata pressure plays an important role in the evolution of mining induced fractures and that the fractal dimension of the fractures increases with the pressure of the overburden.Wei Xiujun Gao Mingzhong Lv Youchang Shi Xiangchao Gao Hailian Zhou Hongwei 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,6:7

19Micro RNA profiles and potential regulatory pattern during the early stage of spermatogenesis in mice显示文摘Spermatogenesis is a complicated and poorly understood process that relies on the precise regulation of the self-renewal and differentiation of spermatogonia. In many organisms, micro RNAs(mi RNAs) are involved in multiple developmental processes as critical regulators of transcriptional and post-transcriptional gene silencing. This study investigated the expression pattern of mi RNAs in type B spermatogonia cells(BSc) and primary spermatocytes(PSc) of mice, using a high-throughput small RNA sequencing system. The results revealed that the expression levels of Let-7 family mi RNAs were remarkably high in both cell types. Furthermore, the expression levels of mi R-21, mi R-140-3p, mi R-103, mi R-30 a, mi R-101 b and mi R-99 b were decreased during the transformation from BSc to PSc. These mi RNAs target vital genes that participate in apoptosis, cell proliferation and differentiation, junction assembly and cell cycle regulation. 20Synergetic catalytic removal of chlorobenzene and NOχfrom waste incineration exhaust over MnNb0.4Ce0.2Oχcatalysts:Performance and mechanism study显示文摘Nb doped MnCe0.2Ox complex oxides catalysts prepared via a homogeneous precipitation method were investigated for synergistic catalytic removal of NOx and chlorobenzene(CB)at low temperatures.The MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox catalyst with a molar ratio of Nb/Mn=0.4 exhibits excellent activity and the NOx and CB removal efficiency reaches 94.5%and 96%at 220℃,respectively.Furthermore,the NOx and CB removal efficiency of MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox still remains above 80%after injecting 300 ppm SO2 and 7 vol%H2 O for 36 h.In addition,the presence of CB and NOx+NH3 can improve the NOx and CB removal efficiency of MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox,respectively.The analysis results from N2-BET,Py-IR,H2-TPR and NH3-TPD reveal that the introduction of Nb increases the average pore size,pore volume and surface area,promoted the growth of Lewis acid amount obviously,and enhances redox ability of MnCe0.2Ox at 100-250℃.Moreover,the molecular migration process of NOx,NH3,CB and SO2 in NH3-SCR and CB oxidation reaction over MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox catalysts were systematically studied.In situ DRIFTS,FT-IR and XPS also confirm that the adsorption of sulfate species and SO2 on the surface of MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox is inhibited effectively by the introduction of Nb in the presence of SO2 and H2 O.Moreover,Nb additives also enhance the structural stability of MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox,due to the interactions among Mn,Nb and Ce.The NH3-TPD,H2-TPR and in situ DRIFTS results also confirm that the MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox still retains abundant acid sites and high redox ability in the presence of SO2 and H2O.In summary,MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox catalysts represent a promising and effective candidate for controlling NOx and CB at low temperatures.Bo Yang Qijie Jin Qiong Huang Mindong Chen Leilei Xu Yuesong Shen Haitao Xu Shemin Zhu Xiujun Li 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,11:6
