1Diode-pumped wavelength-switchable visible Pr^(3+):YLF laser and vortex laser around 670 nm显示文摘Here we developed a novel wavelength-switchable visible continuous-wave(CW)Pr^(3+):YLF laser around 670 nm.In single-wavelength laser operations,the maximum output powers of 2.60 W,1.26 W,and 0.21 W,the maximum slope efficiencies of 34.7%,27.3%,and 12.3%were achieved with good beam qualities(M^(2)<1.6)at 670.4 nm,674.2 nm,and 678.9 nm,respectively.Record-high output power(2.6 W)and record-high slope efficiency(34.7%)were achieved for the Pr^(3+):YLF laser operation at 670.4 nm.This is also the first demonstration of longer-wavelength peaks beyond 670 nm in the^(3)P_(1)→^(3)F_(3)transition of Pr^(3+):YLF.In multi-wavelength laser operations,the dual-wavelength lasings,including 670.1/674.8 nm,670.1/679.1 nm,and 675.0/679.4 nm,were obtained by fine adjustment of one/two etalons within the cavity.Furthermore,the triple-wavelength lasings,e.g.672.2/674.2/678.6 nm and 670.4/674.8/679.4 nm,were successfully demonstrated.Moreover,both the first-order vortex lasers(LG_(0)^(+1)and LG_(0)^(-1)modes)at 670.4 nm were obtained by off-axis pumping.Xiuji Lin Qichen Feng Yao Zhu Shuaihao Ji Bo Xiao Huiying Xu Wensong Li Zhiping Cai 2021Opto-Electronic Advances2021,4,4:4

4High performance visible generation of Ho^(3+)-doped all-fiber lasers显示文摘Direct generation of visible frequency from a compact all-fiber laser while preserving high output characteristics has been a subject of research in laser technology.We investigated the high output performance of all-fiber lasers based on Ho^(3+)-doped ZBLAN fluoride glass fiber especially operating in the deep-red band by pumping at 640 nm.Remarkably,we achieved a maximum continuous-wave output power of 271 m W at 750 nm with a slope efficiency of 45.1%,which represents,to our knowledge,the highest direct output power recorded in an all-fiber laser with a core diameter of less than 10μm in the deep-red band.Additionally,we successfully developed a 1.2μm all-fiber laser pumped by a 640 nm laser.We extensively investigated the correlation between these two-laser generation processes and their performances at 750 nm and 1.2μm wavelengths.By increasing the pumping rate,we observed an efficient recycling of population through a highly excited state absorption process,which effectively returned the population to the upper laser level of the deep-red transition.Moreover,we determined the optimized conditions for such lasers,identified the processes responsible for populating the excited state energy levels,and established the corresponding spectroscopic parameters.SHUAIHAO JI XUEXIAN LIN BO XIAO ZHONGYU WANG XIUJI LIN ZHIPING CAI 2023Photonics Research2023,11,12:0
5Hydrogen storage performance of LaNi_(3.95)Al_(0.75)Co_(0.3) alloy with different preparation methods显示文摘Rare-earth AB5-type La–Ni–Al hydrogen storage alloys are widely studied due to their extensive application potentials in hydrogen isotope storage,hydrogen isotope isolation and hydrogen compressors,etc.Good hydriding/dehydriding kinetics,easily activation,high reversibility are important factors for their practical application.However,their overall hydrogen storage performance,especially plateau pressure and hydrogen absorption/desorption durability need to be further optimized.In this study,the microstructures and the hydrogen storage properties of as-cast,annealed,and melt-spun LaNi_(3.95)Al_(0.75)Co_(0.3) alloys were investigated.The experimental results of XRD and SEM showed that all alloys contained a pure CaCu5 type hexagonal structure LaNi_(4)Al phase.The cell volume increased in an order of annealed>melt-spun>as-cast,resulting in a lower hydrogen absorption/desorption plateau pressure and a more stable hydride phase.The hydrogen storage capacity of three alloys was almost the same.The slope factor of the annealed and melt-spun alloys is smaller than the as-cast alloy,indicating that heat-treatment process can make the alloys more uniform.For the cycle stability of the alloys,the hydrogen absorption rate of the annealed alloy and melt-spun alloy was much faster than that of the as-cast alloy after 500 cycles.The melt-spun alloy showed high pulverization resistance during hydrogen absorption/desorption,and exhibited an excellent cycling retention of 99%after 500 cycles,suggesting that melt-spinning process can enhance the cycle stability and improve the cycle life of the alloy.Lijun Lv Jian Lin Guo Yang Zhaowei Ma Linhua Xu Xiujie He Xingbo Han Wei Liu 2022Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2022,32,2:0
