3Imaging energetic electron spectrometer onboard a Chinese navigation satellite in the inclined GEO orbit显示文摘The energetic electron measurement is one of the most important issues to understand dynamics in space physics and the applications for space weather. In this study, the principle and functional components of the imaging energetic electron spectrometer(IES) onboard a Chinese navigation satellite in the inclined GEO orbit(IGSO) was introduced. The IES instrument is developed by the team in Peking University(BeiDa), thus it is named as BD-IES. Based on the pin-hole technique, the instrument can measure 50–600 keV electrons incident from 9 directions over a range of 180° in polar angle. With pulse height analysis(PHA), the spectrum can be determined for each direction. The energy and angular calibrations were performed, which show the good energy and angular characteristics of BD-IES. Monte Carlo simulations show that the anti-proton design of BDIES can effectively decrease the proton contamination on the electron measurements in the inclined GEO orbit. 4Monte Carlo simulations of the sensor head of imaging energetic electron spectrometer onboard a Chinese IGSO navigation satellite显示文摘An imaging energetic electron spectrometer built by the Peking University team(BD-IES) onboard a Chinese navigation satellite in an inclined GEO orbit has been launched successfully in September 2015, which measures the spectra of the energetic electrons with the energy range of 50–600 keV in nine directions. In this study, Monte Carlo simulations of the BD-IES sensor head were performed using Geant4 and the corresponding characteristic responses to the isotropic energetic particles were derived. The effective geometric factors were estimated using the typical electron and proton spectra in the GEO orbit and the corresponding simulated sensor head responses. It was found that the average effective geometric factors of nine directions are close to the nominal geometric factors calculated with the traditional method, but the effective geometric factor decreases as the center energy of the energy channel decreases. The BD-IES sensor head also responses to the energetic protons, but the average contamination rate of all 72 channels is about 2%, which means that the proton contamination is acceptable. 5Green Fabrication of Multifunctional Three‑Dimensional Superabsorbent Nonwovens with Thermo‑Bonding Fibers显示文摘Disposable hygiene products have evolved into the important parts for millions of people around the world,enhancing the convenience of daily lives.However,development of the disposable hygiene products is restricted by unsustainable production technology,complicated operation process,and poor liquid absorption performance of the absorbent core.Herein,integrated and three-dimensional(3D)multifunctional superabsorbent nonwovens with liquid-triggered fragrance release was prepared via green,fast and scalable multi efect hot-air anchoring method which physically crosslinking the joint thermobonding fbers and anchoring fragrance microcapsules/super absorbent polymer(SAP)onto adjacent thermo-bonding fbers simultaneously.The resulting composite nonwovens could three-dimensionally absorb water 33.14 times of its own weight without gel blockage between SAP,and correspondingly release increased intensity fragrance along with enhancing amount of water absorption.Absorption rate t1 and t2 is 83.62%and 50.62%higher than the commercial specimen respectively,and the air permeability is increased by 226.88%compared with the commercial specimen.The superabsorbent nonwovens with controllable fragrance release and odorant synergistic has the potential to be practically applied to functional textiles felds because of the excellent liquid absorption and controlled fragrance release performance,and is easy to be produced on a sustainable,pollution-free and large-scale industrial production.Jiajia Ma Nan Zhang Ying Cheng Xingran Kou Yunwei Niu Xiangyu Jin Qinfei Ke Yi Zhao 2022Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,2:3
6Facile one-pot emulsion/sol-gel method for preparing wrinkled silica microspheres显示文摘The present manuscript describes a facile and versatile method for preparing uniform wrinkled silica microspheres with diameters of tens of microns.The method comprises a one-pot emulsion/sol-gel method using silica precursors of organosilane and tetraethoxysilane.By controlling the sol-to-gel transition of the silica precursors,a series of silica microspheres based on uniform emulsion droplets was synthesized by membrane emulsification.The silica microspheres had a variety of surface morphologies ranging from smooth,maze-like wrinkles to polygon-like ravines.It was possible to alter the surface morphologies of the microspheres by controlling the amount of organosilane in the dispersed phase and the amount of ammonia catalyst in the continuous phase of the emulsion.The grooves on the wrinkled microspheres were able to trap polymer nanoparticles of matching size,thereby demonstrating the potential usefulness of the microspheres in separation science and drug delivery.Yuning Hu Dongxia Hao Fangling Gong Yuanyuan Gao Xingran Yan Guanghui Ma 2021Particuology2021,19,3:2
7Experimental Study on the Heating Effect of a Wind-Energy Stirring Heater显示文摘In this paper,an experiment system of wind-energy stirring heater has been designed and built.Its heating performance under the rotation speed of 300 r/min has been studied through changing stirring rotor’s layer number or using different working fluids.With the help of CFD numerical simulation method,we studied the influence factors including temperature rise,total heat,heating power of each experimental group,and analyzed why these factors have such an effect.The results show:increasing the layer number of the stirring rotors can increase the motion intensity of working fluid and improve the heating effect;the quantity of effective working fluid in the rotor area can be increased significantly with the increasing of liquid level;the working liquid with high density,low viscosity,low specific heat capacity will be the ideal one.LIU Xingran SUN Xianpeng LI Jianming QIU Xinyang YANG Kang CAO Yanfei 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,3:2

12Poleward-moving recurrent auroral arcs associated with impulse-excited standing hydromagnetic waves显示文摘In Earth's high-latitude ionosphere, the poleward motion of east–west elongated auroral arcs has been attributed to standing hydromagnetic waves, especially when the auroral arcs appear quasi-periodically with a recurrence time of a few minutes. The validation of this scenario requires spacecraft observations of ultra-low-frequency hydromagnetic waves in the magnetosphere and simultaneous observations of poleward-moving auroral arcs near the spacecraft footprints. Here we present the first observational evidence from the multi-spacecraft THEMIS (Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms) mission and the conjugated all-sky imager to support the scenario that standing hydromagnetic waves can generate the quasi-periodic appearance of poleward-moving auroral arcs. In this specific event, the observed waves were toroidal branches of the standing hydromagnetic waves, which were excited by a pulse in the solar wind dynamic pressure. Multi-spacecraft measurements from THEMIS also suggest higher wave frequencies at lower L shells (consistent with the distribution of magnetic field line eigenfrequencies), which indicates that the phase difference across latitudes would increase with time. 13The synthetic thyroid hormone, levothyroxine, protects cholinergic neurons in the hippocampus of naturally aged mice显示文摘The thyroid hormones, triiodothyronine and thyroxine, play important roles in cognitive function during the mammalian lifespan. However, thyroid hormones have not yet been used as a therapeutic agent for normal age-related cognitive deficits. In this study, CD-1 mice(aged 24 months) were intraperitoneally injected with levothyroxine(L-T4; 1.6 μg/kg per day) for 3 consecutive months. Our findings revealed a significant improvement in hippocampal cytoskeletal rearrangement of actin and an increase in serum hormone levels of L-T4-treated aged mice. Furthermore, the survival rate of these mice was dramatically increased from 60% to 93.3%. The Morris water maze task indicated that L-T4 restored impaired spatial memory in aged mice. Furthermore, level of choline acetyltransferase, acetylcholine, and superoxide dismutase were increased in these mice, thus suggesting that a possible mechanism by which L-T4 reversed cognitive impairment was caused by increased activity of these markers. 14A New Active Gate Driver for MOSFET to Suppress Turn-Off Spike and Oscillation显示文摘MOSFETs are widely used in power electronics converters.Due to the high di/dt and dv/dt of the MOSFET and parasitic parameters in the circuit,drain voltage spikes and oscillations will be generated during turn-off,which can affect the safety of the device and degrade the system's electromagnetic compatibility.This paper first studies the relationship between drain voltage spike and gate voltage during turn-off.Based on the effect of gate voltage on drain voltage spike,a new active gate driver that optimizes gate voltage is proposed.The proposed active gate driver detects the slope of the drain voltage and generates a positive pulse in the drain current fall phase to increase the gate voltage,thereby suppressing drain voltage spike and oscillation.In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed active gate driver,a simulation circuit and an experimental platform are constructed and compared with the conventional gate driver.Simulation and experimental results show that the new active gate driver can effectively suppress the drain voltage spike and oscillation of MOSFETs,and can effectively reduce high-frequency EMI.Yanfeng Jiang Chao Feng Zhichang Yang Xingran Zhao Hong Li 2018Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2018,4,2:1

16Photosensitizers with Aggregation-induced Emission and Their Biomedical Applications显示文摘Microorganisms and cancer have always been the fierce enemies of human beings,but the traditional methods of treating them still have many defects.Therefore,it is extremely important to develop rapid,effective and safe treatments.Photodynamic Therapy(PDT)has attracted much attention because of its advantages of non-invasive,non-drug tolerance,high selectivity and low toxicity.As a result,more and more scientists are committed to developing better photosensitizers to enhance the efficiency of PDT in the therapy of microorganisms as well as tumors.The discovery of aggregation-induced emission(AIE)phenomenon provides a novel research direction for the progress of photosensitizer and brings a broader prospect for PDT.This review focuses on the recent progress of photosensitizers(PSs)with AIE properties in PDT from two aspects of anti-microbial and anti-cancer.Among them,anti-microbial aspects were introduced from the perspectives of anti-bacterial,anti-fungal and anti-viral aspects,while anti-cancer aspects were first introduced from the perspective of different target sites of photosensitizers,and then based on the modification of their own structures.Finally,the current limitations,challenges and future development of AIE photosensitizer(AIE-PSs)are clarified in view of the existing strategies and obstacles,so as to promote the development of AIE-PSs in the future clinical applications.Luojia Chen Xingran Wang Yuncong Yuan Rui Hu Qingrong Chen Lijun Zhu Meijia Gu Chao Shen 2022Engineered Regeneration2022,3,1:0
17Nitrogen addition inhibits total monoterpene emissions in subtropical forest floor of South China显示文摘Monoterpenes(MTs)play crucial roles not only in atmospheric chemistry and global climate change but also in soil processes and soil ecology.Elevated nitrogen(N)deposition can influence soil microbial community and litter decomposition,and consequently alters MT fluxes from forest floors and litter.Yet,the responses of soil and litter MT to increased N deposition remain poorly understood and the influences of N addition are sometimes contradictory.In the present study,static chambers were placed in masson pine forest(PF)and in monsoon evergreen broad-leaf forest(BF)at Dinghushan,subtropical China.The preconcentrator-GC–MS was used to analyze the effect of N addition on MT fluxes from the forest floors and litter.The results showed that under control treatment(without N addition),the total MT emission rates were 279.90±137.17 and 102.70±45.36 pmol m^(–2)s^(–1) in the PF and BF floors,respectively,withα-pinene being the largest MT species in the PF and limonene in the BF.α-pinene andβ-pinene emission rates decreased significantly in both forest floors after N addition,whereas a diverse trend was found for limonene and camphene in the PF floor.Furthermore,some MT fluxes showed significant negative correlations with soil respiration and soil temperature.Litter was important in MT fluxes from forest floors and its emission rates were enhanced by N addition.Moreover,different MT response to elevated N was found between the forest floor and litter.This study indicated that the elevated N deposition in the future would inhibit the MT emissions from the subtropical forest floor.Xingran Huang Lili Zheng Pingping Guo Zhigang Yi 2021Soil Ecology Letters2021,3,1:0
18Relationship between the Level of Serum Golgi Protein 73 and the Risk of Short-term Death in Patients with ALD-ACLF显示文摘Background and Aims:As a hepatocellular carcinoma biomarker,serum Golgi protein 73(GP73)is reportedly related to inflammation.Acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)is characterized by severe systemic inflammation.In this study,we aimed to explore the association between the GP73 level and short-term mortality in patients with alcohol-associated liver disease-related ACLF(ALD-ACLF).Methods:This retrospective cohort study involved 126 Chinese adults with ALD-ACLF.Baseline serum GP73 level was measured using enzymelinked immunosorbent assay.Patients were followed-up for 90 d and outcomes were assessed.Data were analyzed using multivariate Cox regression and piecewise linear regression analyses.The predictive value of GP73 and classic models for the short-term prognosis of participants were evaluated and compared using receiver operating characteristic curves.Results:The serum GP73 level was independently associated with an increased mortality risk in patients with ALD-ACLF.Compared with the lowest tertile,the highest serum GP73 level predisposed patients with ALD-ACLF to a higher mortality risk in the fully adjusted model[at 28 days:hazard ratio(HR):4.29(0.99–18.54),p=0.0511;at 90 days:HR:3.52(1.15–10.79),p=0.0276].Further analysis revealed a positive linear association.GP73 significantly improved the accuracy of the Child-Turcotte-Pugh score,model for end-stage liver disease score,and model for end-stage liver diseasesodium score in predicting short-time prognosis of patients with ALD-ACLF.Conclusions:The serum GP73 level is a significant predictor of the subsequent risk of death in patients with ALD-ACLF.GP73 improved the predictive value of classic prognostic scores.Jingjing Tong Mingjie Yao Xiuying Mu Leijie Wang Xiajie Wen Xingran Zhai Xiang Xu Yu Wang Jing Chen Xiangwei Zhai Chongdan Guan Fengmin Lu Jinhua Hu 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,3:0
19Numerical simulation of shear band localization in geotechnical materials based on a nonlocal plasticity model显示文摘A new nonlocal plasticity model,which is based on the integral-type nonlocal model and the cubic representative volumetric element(RVE),is proposed to simulate shear band localization in geotechnical materials such as soils and rocks.An algorithm is developed to solve the resulting nonlinear system of equations.In this algorithm,the nonlocal averaging of plastic strain over the RVE is evaluated using C0 elements instead of using C1 elements to solve the second-order gradient of plastic strains.To obtain the average plastic strain,a set of special elements,called the nonlocal elements,are constructed to approximate the RVE.The updating of average stresses of the local element is based on the nonlocal plastic strain of the corresponding nonlocal elements.Numerical examples show that meshindependent results can be achieved using the proposed model and the algorithm,and the thickness of the shear band is insensitive to the mesh refinement.Shouxin WU Xingran WANG 2011Journal of Modern Transportation2011,19,3:0
