Variability in the composition and export of silica in the Huanghe River Basin显示文摘Concentrations of suspended particle material(SPM), dissolved silicate(DSi), biogenic silica(BSi), phytoliths(plant produced siliceous microscopic structures), and other parameters were analyzed to examine the influence of both natural processes and human activities on silica delivery to the estuary of the Huanghe River(Yellow River). Our results indicate that the concentrations of DSi in the river decreased significantly since 1986. Approximately 34% of dissolved silica was trapped in the basin between 1986 and 2010 due to a reduction of soil erosion. Phytoliths comprised 67.2%–96.3% of BSi, with the smoothing bar type being the dominant form. Concentrations of BSi are significantly higher in the Huanghe River compared to other major rivers throughout the world due to its high sediment yield. We also found that the ratios of BSi/(BSi+DSi) and BSi/SPM were approximately 0.5 and 0.003 at Lijin near the river mouth, indicating that BSi carried in suspension by the Huanghe River was an important component of the rivers silica load. Significant amounts of BSi were also composed of phytoliths in Bohai Sea sediments near the Huanghe River estuary with the smoothing bar form again being the most abundant. The relatively high specific fluxes of BSi in the Huanghe River reflect its high turbidity and high erosion rates in the basin. The high sediment load originating on the Loess Plateau is likely responsible for the higher BSi flux, in agreement with a general trend of increasing BSi flux with increasing sediment flux in global river systems. This study demonstrates that BSi transported by rivers can be composed largely of phytoliths originating from the erosion of topsoils. The flux of phytoliths in river's suspended sediment load may therefore represent a significant contribution to the biogeochemical cycle of silica in coastal waters.RAN XiangBin CHE Hong ZANG JiaYe YU YongGui LIU Sen ZHENG LiLi 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,11:7
Stress distribution and surrounding rock control of mining near to the overlying coal pillar in the working face显示文摘The occurrence of overlying coal pillar(OCP)exerts a strong effect on the stress and strain distribution of the surrounding rock in the stope. In this paper, the stress distribution characteristics are analyzed via the numerical calculation with the account of OCP presence or absence. In addition, this study revealed the joint effect of side pressure relief area of the goaf and stress concentration in OCP on the final stress distribution.Furthermore, the rules of abutment stress distribution affected by three influencing factors, namely horizontal-vertical distances between OCP and working face and buried depth of OCP,are analyzed. The functional model linking the peak stress of surrounding rock with the above influencing factors is developed. The field application of the above results proved that the rib spalling and deformation of a 2.95 m-high and 5.66 m-wide roadway could be efficiently controlled by rationally adjusting working states of the support, and adopting the hydraulic prop coordinated with the p type metal beam and anchor cable to strengthen the surrounding rock of working face and roadway, respectively. The proposed measures are considered appropriate to satisfy the safe operation requirements.Rui Gao Bin Yu Xiangbin Meng 2019International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2019,29,6:6
Multiphase fluid dynamics and transport processes of low capillary number cavitating flows显示文摘To better understand the multiphase fluiddynamics and associated transport processes of cavitatingflows at the capillary number of 0.74 and 0.54,and to validatethe numerical results,a combined computational and exper-imental investigation of flows around a hydrofoil is stud-ied based on flow visualizations and time-resolved interfacemovement. The computational model is based on a mod-ified RNG k-ε model as turbulence closure, along with avapor-liquid mass transfer model for treating the cavitationprocess.Overall, favorable agreement between the numericaland experimental results is observed. It is shown that the cavi-tation structure depends on the interaction of the water-vapormixture and the vapor among the whole cavitation stage, the interface between the vapor and the two-phase mixtureexhibits substantial unsteadiness. And,the adverse motionof the interface relates to pressure and velocity fluctuationsinside the cavity. In particular, the velocity in the vapor regionis lower than that in the two-phase region.Xiangbin Li Guoyu Wang Zhiyi Yu Wei Shyy 2009Acta Mechanica Sinica2009,25,2:6
Performance analysis of MIMO systems with arbitrary number transmit antenna selection and OSTBC in the presence of imperfect CSI显示文摘In this paper, the performance analysis of MIMO systems with arbitrary number transmit antenna selection(TAS) and orthogonal space-time block coding(STBC) in Rayleigh fading channels for imperfect channel state information(CSI) is presented. For the performance analysis, the moment generating function of the system effective SNR as well as its upper and lower bounds are derived. Then, accurate and approximate expressions of bit error rate(BER) of MIMO-TAS-STBC with MPSK and MQAM are further derived. Using the approximate BER formula and imperfect CSI, an adaptive antenna selection scheme is developed for minimizing the BER. The diversity gain and coding gain are analyzed at high SNR. The results indicate that the MIMOTAS-STBC for imperfect CSI can only achieve partial diversity order K N and the coding gain is affected by K,N, code rate, modulation pattern, and channel correlation coefficients, when K transmit antennas are selected and N receive antennas are used. Simulation results show that the theoretical analysis matches the simulation result well, and the approximate expressions are close to the accurate ones but have a lower complexity.Xiangbin YU Xiang-Gen XIA Shuhung LEUNG 2016Science China(Information Sciences)2016,59,8:5

Performance Analysis of Uplink Massive Spatial Modulation MIMO Systems in Transmit-Correlated Rayleigh Channels显示文摘In this paper, the performance of uplink multiuser massive multiple-input multipleoutput(MIMO)system with spatial modulation over transmit-correlated Rayleigh fading channel is investigated, where a large number of antennas are deployed at the base station and linear zero-forcing(ZF)receiver is employed for detection.By taking the transmit correlation and the randomness of shadow fading in to account, the bit error rate(BER)performance of the system is analyzed.According to the performance analysis,an approximated expression of overall average BER of the system is attained.Besides, asymptotic performance is studied and the corresponding BER expression at high signal-to-noise ratio is derived. On this basis, the diversity gain of the system can be obtained for performance evaluation.Simulation results show that the derived theoretical expressions match the simulated values well, which verifies the correctness of our analysis.Qiyishu Li Xiangbin Yu Mingfeng Xie Ning Li Xiaoyu Dang 2021China Communications2021,18,2:4

Inflammasomes as therapeutic targets in human diseases显示文摘Inflammasomes are protein complexes of the innate immune system that initiate inflammation in response to either exogenous pathogens or endogenous danger signals.Inflammasome multiprotein complexes are composed of three parts:a sensor protein,an adaptor, and pro-caspase-1.Activation of the inflammasome leads to the activation of caspase-1,which cleaves pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-ip and IL-18,leading to pyroptosis.Effectors of the inflammasome not only provide protection against infectious pathogens, but also mediate control over sterile insults.Aberrant inflammasome signaling has been implicated in the development of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders. Here,we review the role of the inflammasome as a double-edged sword in various diseases, and the outcomes can be either good or bad depending on the disease,as well as the genetic background. We highlight inflammasome memory and the two-shot activation process. We also propose the M-and N-type inflammation model, and discuss how the inflammasome pathway may be targeted for the development of novel therapy.Yangxin Li Hui Huang Bin Liu Yu Zhang Xiangbin Pan Xi-Yong Yu Zhenya Shen Yao-Hua Song 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,8:3
Performance analysis of variable-power adaptive modulation in space-time block coded MIMO diversity systems显示文摘In this paper, the performance analysis of multi-antenna MIMO systems with variable-power (VP) adaptive modulation and space-time coding is presented. The fading gain value is partitioned into a number of regions by which we decide the transmission power according to the region the fading gain falls in. The optimum fading gain region boundaries (switching thresholds) for maximizing spectrum efficiency (SE) under a target BER and average power constraint are derived. It is shown that the Lagrange multiplier in the constrained SE optimization will be unique if the existence condition for multi-antenna systems is satisfied, and is unique for single antenna systems. A practical iterative calculation method based on Steepest Descent Algorithm for finding the Lagrange multiplier is proposed. With the switching thresholds, the closed-form expressions of the SE and average BER, respectively for VP system and constant-power (CP) system are achieved. Simulation results for SE and average BER are in good agreement with the theory analysis. The results show that VP adaptive modulation with space-time coding provides better SE than the counterpart with CP under a target BER and average power constraint.YU XiangBin SHI HuiBin 2010Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,10:3
Performance of multiuser CDMA system with space-time block coding in MIMO Rayleigh fading channels显示文摘In this paper, by introducing orthogonal space-time coding scheme, the multiuser CDMA systems with different space time codes are given, and corresponding system performance is investigated over Rayleigh fading channel. A low-complexity multiuser receiver scheme is developed for space-time coded CDMA systems. The scheme can make full use of the complex orthogonality of space-time coding to simplify the high decoding complexity of the existing scheme. Compared to the existing scheme with exponential decoding complexity, it has linear decoding complexity. Based on the performance analysis and mathematical calculation, average bit error rate (BER) of the system is derived in detail, and tight closed-form approximation expressions of BER are attained. Simulation results on average BER are in agreement with the theory analysis. The results show that the proposed scheme can achieve almost the same performance as the existing scheme. Moreover, on the condition of same system throughput and concatenation of channel code, the given full-rate space-time coded CDMA system has lower BER than the full-diversity space-time coded CDMA systems.YU XiangBin DONG Tao BI GuangGuo 2009Science in China(Series F)2009,52,12:3

Cross-layer design for cooperative MIMO systems with relay selection and imperfect CSI显示文摘Based on imperfect channel state information (CSI) and relay selection, a cross-layer optimization scheme is developed for cooperative MIMO system, and the corresponding system performance is investigated in Rayleigh fading channel. By the theoretical analysis and mathematical manipulation, the average spectral efficiency (SE), packet error rate (PER) and packet loss rate (PLR) are derived. As a result, closed-form expressions of the average SE, PER and PLR are obtained, respectively. According to these, a cross-layer design (CLD) scheme subject to the average PER constraints is proposed to avoid the SE performance loss caused by the conventional instantaneous PER constraints. The scheme optimizes the adaptive thresholds by maximizing the average SE of the system, and an iteration method joint the Lagrange multiplier and Newton methods is presented to solve the above optimization problem. Simulation results verify the validity of the theoretical analysis. The results show that the proposed CLD scheme can improve the SE while target PLR is maintained. The CLD scheme under average PER constraints has higher SE than the conventional CLD scheme under instantaneous PER constraints.YU XiangBin ZHOU TingTing RUI Yun YIN Xin CHEN Ming 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,2:2
Performance of orthogonal STBC-MIMO with variable-power adaptive modulation and delayed feedback in Nakagami fading channels显示文摘A variable-power(VP)adaptive modulation(AM)scheme with space-time block code(STBC)is developed in MIMO systems, and the corresponding performance is investigated in Nakagami fading channels. The optimum switching thresholds are derived so that the spectrum efciency(SE)under an average power and a target bit error rate(BER)constraint is maximized.By the switching thresholds, average BER and SE are further derived. As a result,closed-form expressions are obtained.Besides, the exact and approximate BER expressions of VP AM and constant-power(CP)AM systems with delayed feedback are respectively derived.Simulation results show that the theoretical SE and BER can match the corresponding simulation well. The results indicate that VP-AM with STBC provide higher spectrum efciency than the CP counterparts, and has slighter bite error rate performance degradation when the normalized delay is less than 0.01.YU XiangBin CHEN XiaoMin BI GuangGuo RUI Yun 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,10:2
Loss-of-function of KMT5B leads to neurodevelopmental disorder and impairs neuronal development and neurogenesis显示文摘Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)is a group of neurodevelopmental disorders that cause severe social, communication, and behavioral problems.Recent studies show that the variants of a histone methyltransferase gene KMT5B cause neurodevelopmental disorders(NDDs),including ASD,and the knockout of Kmt5b in mice is embryonic lethal. However, the detailed genotype-phenotype correlations and functional effects of KMT5B in neurodevelopment are unclear.By targeted sequencing of a large Chinese ASD cohort, analyzing published genome-wide sequencing data, and mining literature,we curated 39 KMT5B variants identified from NDD individuals.A genotype-phenotype correlation analysis for 10 individuals with KMT5B pathogenic variants reveals common symptoms, including ASD,intellectual disability, languages problem, and macrocephaly. In vitro knockdown of the expression of Kmt5b in cultured mouse primary cortical neurons leads to a decrease in neuronal dendritic complexity and an increase in dendritic spine density, which can be rescued by expression of human KMT5B but not that of pathogenic de novo missense mutants. In vivo knockdown of the Kmt5b expression in the mouse embryonic cerebral cortex by in utero electroporation results in decreased proliferation and accelerated migration of neural progenitor cells. Our findings reveal essential roles of histone methyltransferase KMT5B in neuronal development, prenatal neurogenesis, and neuronal migration.Guodong Chen Lin Han Senwei Tan Xiangbin Jia Huidan Wu Yingting Quan Qiumeng Zhang Bin Yu Zhengmao Hu Kun Xia Hui Guo 2022Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,9:1
UPLINK PERFORMANCE OF CWP-MC-CDMA WITH SPACE DIVERSITY COMBINING TECHNIQUE OVER RAYLEIGH FADING CHANNEL显示文摘In this paper, a Complex Wavelet Packet based Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (CWP-MC-CDMA) system uplink model is proposed, based on the analysis of the principle of MC-CDMA and the use of the optimized complex wavelet packet. Considering that the base station can adopt multiple re-ceiver antennas in the uplink, we employ the Space Diversity Combining (SDC) technique to improve the sys-tem performance via multiple antennas. The uplink performance of proposed CWP-MC-CDMA system with SDC technique is investigated over Rayleigh fading channel, and corresponding bit error rate analysis is given in detail. The system can avoid the decrease of spectrum efficiency of conventional MC-CDMA due to insert-ing cyclic prefix. Theoretical analysis and simulation result show that the application of SDC technique can improve the CWP-MC-CDMA system ability to combat spatial fading and various interferences effectively. Moreover, the proposed system based on SDC technique has superior Bit Error Rate (BER) performance over the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and SDC based MC-CDMA system and the real wavelet packet and SDC based MC-CDMA system.Yu Xiangbin Zhang Xiaodong Xu Dazhuan Bi Guangguo 2006Journal of Electronics(China)2006,23,6:1

Performance of Cooperative Spatial Modulation with AF Protocol in Wireless Relay Network显示文摘By combing Spatial modulation(SM) with the Amplify-and-forward(AF) cooperative communication, a cooperative SM scheme with AF(AF-SM) protocol is presented, and the corresponding Bit error rate(BER)performance is investigated. Based on the performance analysis, the error probability of antenna index estimation(Pa) and the error probability of symbol estimation(Pd),which constitutes the overall average BER, are derived, respectively. As a result, tightly approximate closedform expressions of Paand Pdare attained, respectively.Using these expressions, the closed-form overall average BER is achieved. During the analysis, the computational complexity of AF-SM detector is also provided in terms of the complex addition and multiplication numbers.Besides, the asymptotic BER at high SNR and the corresponding diversity gain are further derived, and the resultant diversity gain of Nr+ 1 is obtained for the system with Nrreceive antennas. Simulation results show that our theoretical analysis is valid, and provides good performance evaluation method for cooperative SM system. Moreover, the BER performance can be effectively improved as Nrincreases due to higher diversity gain.YU Xiangbin PAN Qing WANG Cheng 2019Chinese Journal of Electronics2019,28,1:1

Ribosome biogenesis in disease:new players and therapeutic targets显示文摘The ribosome is a multi-unit complex that translates mRNA into protein.Ribosome biogenesis is the process that generates ribosomes and plays an essential role in cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, development, and transformation. The mTORC1,Myc,and noncoding RNA signaling pathways are the primary mediators that work jointly with RNA polymerases and ribosome proteins to control ribosome biogenesis and protein synthesis.Activation of mTORC1 is required for normal fetal growth and development and tissue regeneration after birth.Myc is implicated in cancer development by enhancing RNA Pol II activity, leading to uncontrolled cancer cell growth. The deregulation of noncoding RNAs such as microRNAs,long noncoding RNAs,and circular RNAs is involved in developing blood, neurodegenerative diseases, and atherosclerosis. We review the similarities and differences between eukaryotic and bacterial ribosomes and the molecular mechanism of ribosome-targeting antibiotics and bacterial resistance. We also review the most recent findings of ribosome dysfunction in COVID-19 and other conditions and discuss the consequences of ribosome frameshifting,ribosome-stalling,and ribosome-collision.We summarize the role of ribosome biogenesis in the development of various diseases.Furthermore,we review the current clinical trials, prospective vaccines for COVID-19,and therapies targeting ribosome biogenesis in cancer, cardiovascular disease, aging, and neurodegenerative disease.Lijuan Jiao Yuzhe Liu Xi-Yong Yu Xiangbin Pan Yu Zhang Junchu Tu Yao-Hua Song Yangxin Li 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2:1
