| 5 | The Impact of Climatic and Environmental Factors on n-Alkanes Indices in Southwestern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘n-Alkanes are widely used in paleoenvironmental reconstructions.However,our understanding of changes in the distribution of n-alkanes with climatic and environmental factors remains unclear in arid/semi-arid regions.We sampled 26 surface sediments from three climatic zones across the southwestern Tibetan Plateau to evaluate the sensitivity of chain length distributions of n-alkanes to climatic and environmental parameters.Our observations demonstrate that average chain length(ACL),proportion of aquatic macrophyte(Paq),carbon preference index(CPI)and ratio of the contents of nC_(27)and nC_(31)(nC_(27)/nC_(31))are all sensitive to hydroclimatic conditions.In contrast to commonly-adopted assumptions,the correlations between these indices and hydrological parameters are not always good,which indicates that the interpretation of n-alkane indices is special on the southwestern Tibetan Plateau.These might be related to the vegetation characteristics and seasonality of biological activity,and need to be considered in paleoclimatic reconstruction.The impact of seasonal precipitation on n-alkanes indices was also evaluated. | LING Yuan ZHENG Mianping WANG Shuxian SUN Qing XIE Bingjing ZHANG Chengjun | 2021 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,2: | 1 |

| 8 | Spatial Inhomogeneity of Atmospheric CO_(2) Concentration and Its Uncertainty in CMIP6 Earth System Models显示文摘This paper provides a systematic evaluation of the ability of 12 Earth System Models(ESMs)participating in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)to simulate the spatial inhomogeneity of the atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO_(2))concentration.The multi-model ensemble mean(MME)can reasonably simulate the increasing trend of CO_(2) concentration from 1850 to 2014,compared with the observation data from the Scripps CO_(2) Program and CMIP6 prescribed data,and improves upon the CMIP5 MME CO_(2) concentration(which is overestimated after 1950).The growth rate of CO_(2) concentration in the northern hemisphere(NH)is higher than that in the southern hemisphere(SH),with the highest growth rate in the mid-latitudes of the NH.The MME can also reasonably simulate the seasonal amplitude of CO_(2) concentration,which is larger in the NH than in the SH and grows in amplitude after the 1950s(especially in the NH).Although the results of the MME are reasonable,there is a large spread among ESMs,and the difference between the ESMs increases with time.The MME results show that regions with relatively large CO_(2) concentrations(such as northern Russia,eastern China,Southeast Asia,the eastern United States,northern South America,and southern Africa)have greater seasonal variability and also exhibit a larger inter-model spread.Compared with CMIP5,the CMIP6 MME simulates an average spatial distribution of CO_(2) concentration that is much closer to the site observations,but the CMIP6-inter-model spread is larger.The inter-model differences of the annual means and seasonal cycles of atmospheric CO_(2) concentration are both attributed to the differences in natural sources and sinks of CO_(2) between the simulations. | Chengjun XIE Tongwen WU Jie ZHANG Kalli FURTADO Yumeng ZHOU Yanwu ZHANG Fanghua WU Weihua JIE He ZHAO Mengzhe ZHENG | 2023 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,11: | 0 |

| 10 | Upper-Ocean Lateral Heat Transports in the Nino3.4 Region and Their Connection with ENSO显示文摘In the Nino3.4 region(tropical Pacific,5°S-5°N,170°-120°W),sea surface temperature(SST)changes are highly correlated with temperature variations in the upper 40-m layer.This study explores the upper-ocean heat budget in the Nino3.4 region using Ocean Reanalysis System 5(ORAS5)monthly data from 1979 to 2018,with a focus on ocean heat transports at lateral boundaries in the top 40-m layer and their correlation with temperature variations.In the region,there is a well-defined structure of opposite meridional circulation in the upper and lower parts of the thermocline,characterized by divergence in the upper layer above 40 m and convergence in the lower layer.The change of mean temperature in the upper layer is determined by the sum of zonal,meridional,and vertical heat transports,which,however,tend to largely compensate for each other.In general,part of the surface heat flux from the atmosphere to the ocean and the heat transport from the subsurface ocean are transported out of the domain by meridional and zonal currents,leaving only a tiny part to warm or cool the upper ocean.The amplitude of the net surface heat flux effective for the entire 40-m layer of the ocean is weaker than the lateral heat transport.On an interannual timescale,variations of heat transports in both zonal and meridional are positively correlated with temperature anomalies,while the vertical heat transport from the subsurface ocean is negatively correlated.Composite analyses for five El Nino events and five La Nina events also revealed that there is a positive contribution of horizontal transport convergence to temperature anomalies during the evolution of El Nino(warming)and La Nina(cooling),while vertical transport acts against temperature variations. | He ZHAO Tongwen WU Laurent ZXLI Fanghua WU Weihua JIE Xiangwen LIU Ronghua ZHANG Chengjun XIE | 2022 | Journal of Meteorological Research2022,36,2: | 0 |
| 11 | Vertical variations and composition of dissolved free amino acid in the seawater of the Yap Trench in the western Pacific Ocean显示文摘The composition and concentration of dissolved free amino acid(DFAA)of seawater samples collected in May 2016 from the surface to the hadal zone of the northern region of the Yap Trench were analyzed by pre-column derivatization of o-phthalaldehyde.Results show that the average concentration of DFAA in the study area was 0.47±0.36μmol/L.In different sampling stations,the concentrations of DFAA with water depth showed complex variation patterns.At the sediment-seawater interface,the concentrations of DFAA in the western side of the trench were obviously higher than that in its eastern side.In the study area,there were no significant correlations between the concentrations of DFAA and the environmental parameters such as concentrations of chlorophyll a(Chl a),dissolved oxygen(DO),pH,and dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN),indicating that the concentrations of DFAA in seawater of the trench are affected by many factors,such as photosynthesis,respiration,temperature,pressure,illumination,and circulation.The dominant DFAA are similar in different water layers of sampling stations,including aspartic acid(Asp),glutamic acid(Glu),glycine(Gly),and serine(Ser).The composition of different amino acids,and the relative abundance of acidic,basic,and neutral amino acids might be related to the sources and consumption of various amino acids.Nine pairs of amino acids in the DFAA showed significantly positive relationship by correlation matrix analysis,suggesting that they might share similar biogeochemical processes.The degradation index(DI)of the DFAA in seawater of the Yap Trench could reflect the degradation,source,and freshness of DFAA in the trench to some extents.This is a preliminary study of amino acids from sea surface to hadal zone in the ocean,more works shall be done in different trenches to reveal their biogeochemical characte ristics in extreme marine environme nts. | Jiaohong NIU Chengjun SUN Bo YANG Lei XIE Fenghua JIANG Wei CAO Yan CHEN Haibing DING Yuhuan HUANG Xianchi GAO | 2023 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,1: | 0 |
| 12 | Petroleum Generation Kinetics and Geological Implications for Jurassic Hydrocarbon Source Rocks,Hongqi Depression,Hailar Basin,Northeast China显示文摘A sample from the Jurassic Tamulangou Fm.and two comparison samples from the Cretaceous Fm.were used to document the hydrocarbon generation kinetics and phase behaviors at two heating rates using the confined gold tube system.The results show that the different heating rates affect the reaction rates,paths and levels of organic matter evolution.The average activation energy and dominant frequency activation energy of liquid hydrocarbon are significantly lower than those of gaseous.Moreover,igneous intrusion had a positive effect on the blooming,enrichment and preservation of organic matter,promoting a Ro increase of 0.09%–1.07%in the Jurassic Tamulangou Fm.Two models were used to simulate the normal and abnormal evolution caused by thermal events combined hydrocarbon generation kinetic parameters.Thermal simulation analysis shows that oil generation was initially slow and then increased rapidly until a burial depth of 1500 m was reached at~128 Ma.The largest hydrocarbon expulsion began at~120 Ma,corresponding to a burial depth of 2450 m.The maximum cumulative yield is 510 mg/g TOC,and it is still in the peak period of hydrocarbon generation,which demonstrates a favorable potential for hydrocarbon exploration. | XIE Mingxian MA Feng CHEN Guangpo LIU Chang XIAO Rong SU Yuping ZHANG Chengjun | 2023 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,2: | 0 |
