Predicting the device performance of the perovskite solar cells from the experimental parameters through machine learning of existing experimental results显示文摘The performance of the metal halide perovskite solar cells(PSCs)highly relies on the experimental parameters, including the fabrication processes and the compositions of the perovskites;tremendous experimental work has been done to optimize these factors. However, predicting the device performance of the PSCs from the fabrication parameters before experiments is still challenging.Herein,we bridge this gap by machine learning(ML)based on a dataset including 1072 devices from peer-reviewed publications. The optimized ML model accurately predicts the PCE from the experimental parameters with a root mean square error of 1.28%and a Pearson coefficientr of 0.768.Moreover,the factors governing the device performance are ranked by shapley additive explanations(SHAP),among which,A-site cation is crucial to getting highly efficient PSCs.Experiments and density functional theory calculations are employed to validate and help explain the predicting results by the ML model. Our work reveals the feasibility of ML in predicting the device performance from the experimental parameters before experiments, which enables the reverse experimental design toward highly efficient PSCs. | Yao Lu Dong Wei Wu Liu Juan Meng Xiaomin Huo Yu Zhang Zhiqin Liang Bo Qiao Suling Zhao Dandan Song Zheng Xu | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2: | 1

Back in time:digital restoration techniques for the millennium Dunhuang murals显示文摘In the long history of more than 1 500 years,Dunhuang murals suffered from various deteriorations causing irreversible damage such as falling off, fading, and so on.However, the existing Dunhuang mural restoration methods are time-consuming and not feasible to facilitate cultural dissemination and permanent inheritance.Inspired by cultural computing using artificial intelligence,gated-convolution-based dehaze net(GD-Net) was proposed for Dunhuang mural refurbishment and comprehensive protection.First,a neural network with gated convolution was applied to restore the falling off areas of the mural to ensure the integrity of the mural content.Second,a dehaze network was applied to enhance image quality to cope with the fading of the mural.Besides,a Dunhuang mural dataset was presented to meet the needs of deep learning approach, containing 1 180 images from the Cave 290 and Cave 112 of the Mogao Grottoes. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of GD-Net. | Tao Yifeng Song Yucheng Xu Mengqiu Zhang Chuang Wu Ming Bai Sule | 2022 | The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications2022,29,2: | 0
Machine learning enables intelligent screening of interface materials towards minimizing voltage losses for p-i-n type perovskite solar cells显示文摘Interface engineering is proved to be the most important strategy to push the device performance of the perovskite solar cell(PSC) to its limit, and numerous works have been conducted to screen efficient materials. Here, on the basis of the previous studies, we employ machine learning to map the relationship between the interface material and the device performance, leading to intelligently screening interface materials towards minimizing voltage losses in p-i-n type PSCs. To enhance the explainability of the machine learning models, molecular descriptors are used to represent the materials. Furthermore, experimental analysis with different characterization methods and device simulation based on the drift-diffusion physical model are conducted to get physical insights and validate the machine learning models. Accordingly, 3-thiophene ethylamine hydrochloride(Th EACl) is screened as an example, which enables remarkable improvements in VOCand PCE of the PSCs. Our work reveals the critical role of datadriven analysis in the high throughput screening of interface materials, which will significantly accelerate the exploration of new materials for high-efficiency PSCs. | Wu Liu Ning Meng Xiaomin Huo Yao Lu Yu Zhang Xiaofeng Huang Zhenqun Liang Suling Zhao Bo Qiao Zhiqin Liang Zheng Xu Dandan Song | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,8: | 0
An integrative drug repositioning framework discovered a potential therapeutic agent targeting COVID-19显示文摘The global spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)requires an urgent need to find effective therapeutics for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).In this study,we developed an integrative drug repositioning framework, which fully takes advantage of machine learning and statistical analysis approaches to systematically integrate and mine large-scale knowledge graph, literature and transcriptome data to discover the potential drug candidates against SARS-CoV-2.Our in silico screening followed by wet-lab validation indicated that a poly-ADP-ribose polymerase 1(PARP1)inhibitor,CVL218,currently in Phase I clinical trial, may be repurposed to treat COVID-19.Our in vitro assays revealed that CVL218 can exhibit effective inhibitory activity against SARS-CoV-2 replication without obvious cytopathic effect. In addition,we showed that CVL218 can interact with the nucleocapsid(N)protein of SARS-CoV-2 and is able to suppress the LPS-induced production of several inflammatory cytokines that are highly relevant to the prevention of immunopathology induced by SARS-CoV-2 infection. | Yiyue Ge Tingzhong Tian Suling Huang Fangping Wan Jingxin Li Shuya Li Xiaoting Wang Hui Yang Lixiang Hong Nian Wu Enming Yuan Yunan Luo Lili Cheng Chengliang Hu Yipin Lei Hantao Shu Xiaolong Feng Ziyuan Jiang Yunfu Wu Ying Chi Xiling Guo Lunbiao Cui Liang Xiao Zeng Li Chunhao Yang Zehong Miao Ligong Chen Haitao Li Hainian Zeng Dan Zhao Fengcai Zhu Xiaokun Shen Jianyang Zeng | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,5: | 0

Intratumoral CD103+CD8+T cells predict response to neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy in advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Background Immune cell heterogenicity is known to determine the therapeutic response to cancer progression.Neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy(NACI)has shown clinical benefits in some patients with advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC),but the underlying mechanism behind this clinical response is unknown. The efficacy of NACI needs to be potentiated by identifying accurate biomarkers to predict clinical responses. Here,we attempted to identify molecules predicting NACI response in advanced HNSCC.Methods We performed combined single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)and multiplex immunofluorescence(mIHC)staining with tumor samples derived from NACI-treated HNSCC patients to identify a new tumor-infiltrating cell(TIL)subtype,CD103+CD8+TILs,associated with clinical response, while both in vitro and in vivo assays were carried out to determine its antitumor efficiency. The regulatory mechanism of the CD103+CD8+TILs population was examined by performing cell-cell interaction analysis of the scRNA-seq data and spatial analysis of the mIHC images. Results We established intratumoral CD103+CD8+TILs density as a determinant of NACI efficacy in cancers. Our scRNA-seq results indicated that the population of CD103+CD8+TILs was dramatically increased in the responders of NACI-treated HNSCC patients, while mIHC analysis confirmed the correlation between intratumoral CD103+CD8+TILs density and NACI efficacy in HNSCC patients.Further receiver operating characteristic curve analysis defined this TIL subset as a potent marker to predict patient response to NACI.Functional assays showed that CD103+CD8+TILs were tumor-reactive T cells, while programmed cell death protein-1(PD-1)blockade enhanced CD103+CD8+TILs cytotoxicity against tumor growth in vivo.Mechanistically, targeting the triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2-positive(TREM2+)macrophages might enhance the population of CD103+CD8+TILs and facilitate antitumor immunity during NACI treatment. Conclusions Our study highlights the impact of intratumoral CD103+CD8+TILs density on NACI efficacy in different cancers, while the efforts to elevate its population warrant further clinical investigation. | Siqi Ren Tianjun Lan Fan Wu Suling Chen Xue Jiang Chuying Huo Zitian Li Shule Xie Donghui Wu Ruixin Wang Yanyan Li Lin Qiu Guoxin Huang Shurui Li Xiaojuan Wang Meifeng Cen Tingting Cai Zhaoyu Lin Jinsong Li Bowen Li | 2023 | Cancer Communications2023,43,10: | 0
