1Object-based classification approach for greenhouse mapping using Landsat-8 imagery显示文摘Suburban greenhouses with intensive agricultural productivity have increasingly influenced the daily diet and vegetable supply in Chinese cities.With their enormous input of fertilizers and pesticides,greenhouses have considerably changed the local soil quality and environmental risk factors.The ability to obtain timely and accurate information regarding the spatial distribution of greenhouses could make an important contribution to local agricultural management and soil protection.This paper attempts to present a practical framework for extracting suburban greenhouses,integrating remote sensing data from Landsat-8 and object-oriented classification.Inheritance classification was implemented,and various properties,including texture and neighborhood features in addition to spectral information,were investigated through the popular random forest technique for feature selection prior to SVM classification to improve the mapping accuracy.The results demonstrated that object-based classification incorporating non-spectral features yielded a significant improvement compared with the classification results obtained using only the spectral information in traditional per-pixel classification.Both the producer’s and user’s accuracy were higher than 85%for greenhouse identification.Although it remained a challenge to completely distinguish greenhouses from sparse plants,the final greenhouse map indicated that the proposed object-based classification scheme,providing multiple feature selections and multi-scale analysis,yielded worthwhile information when applied to a continuous series of the freely available Landsat-8 imagery data.Wu Chaofan Deng Jinsong Wang Ke Ma Ligang Amir Reza Shah Tahmassebi 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,1:7
2Thymosin Alpha-1 Inhibits Complete Freund’s Adjuvant-Induced Pain and Production of Microglia-Mediated Pro-inflammatory Cytokines in Spinal Cord显示文摘Activation of inflammatory responses regulates the transmission of pain pathways through an integrated network in the peripheral and central nervous systems.The immunopotentiator thymosin alpha-1(Tal)has recently been reported to have anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective functions in rodents.However,how Tα1 affects inflammatory pain remains unclear.In the present study,intraperitoneal injection of Tal attenuated complete Freund's adjuvant(CFA)-induced pain hypersensitivity,and decreased the up-regulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines(TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-6)in inflamed skin and the spinal cord.We found that CFA-induced peripheral inflammation evoked strong microglial activation,but the effect was reversed by Tα1.Notably,Tα1 reversed the CFA-induced up-regulation of vesicular glutamate transporter(VGLUT)and down-regulated the vesicular γ-aminobutyric acid transporter(VGAT)in the spinal cord.Taken together,these results suggest that Tα1 plays a therapeutic role in inflammatory pain and in the modulation of microgliainduced pro-inflammatory cytokine production in addition to mediation of VGLUT and VGAT expression in the spinal cord.Yunlong Xu Yanjun Jiang Lin Wang Jiahua Huang Junmao Wen Hang Lv Xiaoli Wu Chaofan Wan Chuanxin Yu Wenjie Zhang Jiaying Zhao Yinqi Zhou Yongjun Chen 2019Neuroscience Bulletin2019,35,4:4
3温拌添加剂对沥青结合料PG分级的影响研究显示文摘采用室内试验量化分析了不同温拌添加剂对基质沥青和SBS改性沥青结合料PG分级的影响。结果表明:温拌添加剂对沥青结合料的PG分级影响程度取决于沥青和添加剂种类、添加剂含量和RTFOT老化温度等。石蜡基添加剂Sasobit对沥青结合料PG分级产生强化作用,在其典型掺量3%时,沥青结合料的PG分级上限、下限和中间温度可分别提高13.5、6.9和5.0℃。在正常掺量范围内,Aspha-min温拌添加剂对沥青结合料的PG分级上限、下限和中间温度影响不大。剔除个别异常数据,RTFOT老化温度163~133℃的变化对沥青结合料PG分级无显著影响。刘克非 Chaofan Wu Menglan Zeng 2015中外公路2015,35,4:4
4The Anomalous Mei-yu Rainfall of Summer 2020 from a Circulation Clustering Perspective:Current and Possible Future Prevalence显示文摘Highly unusual amounts of rainfall were seen in the 2020 summer in many parts of China,Japan,and South Korea.At the intercontinental scale,case studies have attributed this exceptional event to a displacement of the climatological western North Pacific subtropical anticyclone,potentially associated Indian Ocean sea surface temperature patterns and a mid-latitude wave train emanating from the North Atlantic.Using clusters of spatial patterns of sea level pressure,we show that an unprecedented 80%of the 2020 summer days in East Asia were dominated by clusters of surface pressure greater than normal over the South China Sea.By examining the rainfall and water vapor fluxes in other years when these clusters were also prevalent,we find that the frequency of these types of clusters was likely to have been largely responsible for the unusual rainfall of 2020.From two ensembles of future climate projections,we show that summers like 2020 in East Asia may become more frequent and considerably wetter in a warmer world with an enhanced moisture supply.Robin T.CLARK Peili WU Lixia ZHANG Chaofan LI 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,12:3
5Porous Carbon Architecture Assembled by Cross-Linked Carbon Leaves with Implanted Atomic Cobalt for High-Performance Li-S Batteries显示文摘The practical application of lithium-sulfur batteries is severely hampered by the poor conductivity,polysulfide shuttle effect and sluggish reaction kinetics of sulfur cathodes.Herein,a hierarchi-cally porous three-dimension(3D)carbon architecture assembled by cross-linked carbon leaves with implanted atomic Co-N4 has been deli-cately developed as an advanced sulfur host through a SiO_(2)-mediated zeolitic imidazolate framework-L(ZIF-L)strategy.The unique 3D architectures not only provide a highly conductive network for fast electron transfer and buffer the volume change upon lithiation-delithi-ation process but also endow rich interface with full exposure of Co-N4 active sites to boost the lithium polysulfides adsorption and conversion.Owing to the accelerated kinetics and suppressed shuttle effect,the as-prepared sulfur cathode exhibits a superior electrochemical perfor-mance with a high reversible specific capacity of 695 mAh g^(−1) at 5 C and a low capacity fading rate of 0.053%per cycle over 500 cycles at 1 C.This work may provide a promising solution for the design of an advanced sulfur-based cathode toward high-performance Li-S batteries.Ruirui Wang Renbing Wu Chaofan Ding Ziliang Chen Hongbin Xu Yongfeng Liu Jichao Zhang Yuan Ha Ben Fei Hongge Pan 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,10:3

8Tuning exsolution of nanoparticles in defect engineered layered perovskite oxides for efficient CO_(2) electrolysis显示文摘Solid oxide electrolysis cell(SOEC) could be a potential technology to afford chemical storage of renewable electricity by converting water and carbon dioxide.In this work,we present the Ni-doped layered perovskite oxides,(La_(4)Sr_(n-4))_(0.9)Ti_(0.9n)Ni_(0.1n)O_(3n+2) with n=5,8,and 12(LSTNn) for application as catalysts of CO_(2) electrolysis with the exsolution of Ni nanoparticles through a simple in-situ growth method.It is found that the density,size,and distribution of exsolved Ni nanoparticles are determined by the number of n in LSTNn due to the different stack structures of TiO_6 octahedra along the c axis.The Ni doping in LSTNn significantly improved the electrochemical activity by increasing oxygen vacancies,and the Ni metallic nanoparticles afford much more active sites.The results show that LSTNn cathodes can successfully be manipulated the activity by controlling both the n number and Ni exsolution.Among these LSTNn(n=5,8,and 12),LSTN8 renders a higher activity for electrolysis of CO_(2) with a current density of 1.50A cm^(-2)@2.0 V at 800℃ It is clear from these results that the number of n in(La_(4)Sr_(n-4))_(0.9)Ti_(0.9n)Ni_(0.1n)O_(3n+2)with Ni-doping is a key factor in controlling the electrochemical performance and catalytic activity in SOEC.Zhengrong Liu Jun Zhou Yueyue Sun Xiangling Yue Jiaming Yang Lei Fu Qinyuan Deng Hongfei Zhao Chaofan Yin Kai Wu 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,9:1
9An overview of protected satellite communications in intelligent age显示文摘Protected satellite communications(SatComs) exhibit specific characteristics such as security,intelligence, anti-jamming, and nuclear disaster survivability. They constitute one of the key research topics in modern military communications and have become the basic means for implementing strategic and tactical command and control. Currently, the United States military is using the latest advanced extremely high-frequency(AEHF) system to provide protected communications. Other countries are also employing their own protected SatCom systems to meet future operational requirements. Furthermore, in the modern intelligent age, many intelligent-related technologies are introduced into the protected SatCom systems to provide more secure and efficient communication services. In this paper, a comprehensive overview of the protected SatCom systems is presented. More specifically, a system overview of the protected SatComs is illustrated. Our focus is placed on the critical technologies and practical applications, and finally discuss remaining challenges and look forward to the future research directions. 10Highly sensitive humidity sensors based on hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets for contactless sensing显示文摘Humidity sensors with high sensitivity,rapid response,and facile fabrication process for contactless sensing applications have received considerable attention in recent years.Herein,humidity sensors based on hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)nanosheets that are synthesized by a facile ultrasonic process have been fabricated,which display an ultrahigh sensitivity of 28,384%at 85%relative humidity(RH),rapid response/recovery time(3.0/5.5 s),and long-term stability in a wide humidity detection range(11%-85%RH),superior to most of the reported humidity sensors.The high sensitivity can be ascribed to the massive hydrophilic functional groups absorbed on the h-BN nanosheet surface.Benefiting from the high humidity sensing performances,contactless Morse code messaging and human writing and speech recognition have been demonstrated.This work demonstrates the great potential of the high-performance h-BN nanosheet-based humidity sensors for future contactless sensing devices.Hang Liu Jinxu Qin Xigui Yang Chaofan Lv Wentao Huang Fukui Li Chuang Zhang Yanran Wu Lin Dong Chongxin Shan 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
11Unveiling the relationship between structural evaluation and catalytic performance of InOOH during electroreduction of CO_(2)to formate显示文摘The electrochemical CO_(2)reduction reaction(ECO_(2)RR)to formate is perceived as a technoeconomic pathway for transforming renewable electricity into fuels.However,the indeterminate mechanism underlying structural self-reconstruction obstructs the strategic design of a high-performance In catalyst for the ECO_(2)RR.In this study,we chose InOOH as the model catalyst to illustrate the dynamic structure of In-based catalysts during reconstruction in the ECO_(2)RR.The findings of the current study indicate that the in situ electrochemical reconstruction of crystalline InOOH results in the creation of crystalline In clusters/InOOH,followed by In/InOOH heterostructures,and finally,metallic In over time.The efficiencies of the different phases conformed to the sequence:In clusters/InOOH>In/InOOH heterostructures>metallic In.This progression leads to a continuous drop in maximum current density and Faradaic efficiency from 29.6 mA/cm2 and 87%to 6.3 mA/cm2 and 75%,respectively with time extending to 7200 s,at-1.0 V relative to the reversible hydrogen electrode.Our in situ characterization and theoretical studies highlighted the crucial role of the In-cluster/InOOH interface in CO_(2)activation and conversion.Caijun Deng Chaofan Qi Xiaomin Wu Guohua Jing Huawang Zhao 2024Green Carbon2024,2,1:0
12Effects of prebiotics on the fermentation of traditional suancai of Northeast China显示文摘Suancai is a traditional fermented vegetable widely consumed in Northeast China.In this study,different prebiotics were used to improve the quality of suancai.Four prebiotics(inulin(INU),xylooligosaccharide(XO S),galactooligosaccharide(GOS),and stachyose(STA))were shown to reduce the pH value and increase the content of total titratable acidity(TTA)in suancai,while the contents of most organic acids were also increased.The addition of prebiotics had significant effects on the bacterial microbiota during the suancai fermentation process.All prebiotics were shown to contribute to the growth of Lactobacillus.The suancai sample with fructooligosaccharides(FOS)had the highest relative abundance of Lactobacillus.Besides,INU and XOS could increase the abundance of Weissella.To evaluate the quality of suancai fermented with prebiotics,profiles of volatile flavor compounds(VOCs)and free amino acids(FAA)were analyzed.The prebiotics affected the VOCs and FAA profiles via transforming the bacterial microbiota.In addition,the addition of prebiotics also changed the taste profiles of the suancai samples.This study is among the first attempts to reveal the effects of different prebiotics on suancai fermentation,and the findings provide a foundation to develop new ways for improving the quality of suancai.Mingwei Zhao Xinying Cao Yuzheng Wu Sibo Zou Zhigao Li Xinping Lin Chaofan Ji Liang Dong Sufang Zhang Chenxu Yu Huipeng Liang 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,3:0

14Pore scale numerical investigation of counter-current spontaneous imbibition in multi-scaled pore networks显示文摘The multi-scaled pore networks of shale or tight reservoirs are considerably different from the conventional sandstone reservoirs.After hydraulic fracturing treatment,the spontaneous imbibition process plays an important role in the productivity of the horizontal wells.Applying the color-gradient model of Lattice Boltzmann Method(LBM)accelerated with parallel computing,we studied the countercurrent spontaneous imbibition process in two kinds of pore structures with different interlacing distributions of large and small pores.The effect of geometry configuration of pore arrays with different pore-scale and the capillary number Ca on the mechanism of counter-current spontaneous imbibition as well as the corresponding oil recovery factor are studied.We found that the wetting phase tends to invade the small pore array under small Ca in both types of geometry configurations of different pore arrays of four pore arrays zones.The wetting phase also tends to invade the pore array near the inlet for injecting the wetting phase no matter if it is a large pore array or small pore array except for the situation when the Ca is large to a certain value.In this situation,the small pore arrays show resistance to the wetting phase,so the wetting phase doesn't invade the small pore near the inlet,but invades the large pore preferentially.Both the geometry configurations of different pore arrays and Ca have a significant effect on the oil recovery factor.This work will help to solve the doubt about the selectivity of the multi-scaled pores of the wetting phase and the role of pores with different sizes in imbibition and oil draining in countercurrent spontaneous imbibition processes.Yuchen Wu Xiukun Wang Chaofan Zhang Chenggang Xian 2023Petroleum2023,9,4:0
15Effects of phosphorylated ovalbumin on the quality of pork myofibrillar protein gel:an insight into gelling and physicochemical properties显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the effects of phosphorylated-ovalbumin(P-OVA)at different concentrations(0.5%and 1.0%)on the gel properties of pork myofibrillar protein(MP).The results showed that the textural properties such as gel hardness,cohesiveness,springiness and chewiness were improved with P-OVA addition at 0.5%.The water holding capacity(up to 75.89%)and gel strength(up to 168.56 g·mm)of MP gel were markedly increased after P-OVA addition.The absolute value of zeta potential reached 13.85 mV and maximum hydrophobicity(15.2μg)resulted from the addition of 0.5%P-OVA.The storage modulus(G’)and loss modulus(G’’)of MP gel were significantly increased from 50°C,and the G’and G’’significantly increased after 1.0%P-OVA addition,evidencing that the cross-linking effect of MP protein gel was enhanced.In addition,the P-OVA addition improved the structure of MP gel protein by reducing theα-helix,while increasing theβ-sheet and the r-value(the ratio between two ultraviolet second-derivative peak-to-trough distances),which further promoted the uniform and compact gel network structure.This work demonstrated that P-OVA is a highly effective modifier that significantly improves the quality of MP gel.From a view of practice,0.5%P-OVA is the optimal addition amount.Zhihui Yu Yating Gao Meng Wu Chaofan Zhao Xiubin Liu Xiaoyu Zhang Lixin Zhang Yisheng Chen 2024Journal of Future Foods2024,4,2:0
16Using nonparametric modeling approaches and remote sensing imagery to estimate ecological welfare forest biomass显示文摘The spatial distribution of forest biomass is closely related with carbon cycle, climate change, forest productivity, and biodiversity. Efficient quantification of biomass provides important information about forest quality and health. With the rising awareness of sustainable development, the ecological benefits of forest biomass attract more attention compared to traditional wood supply function. In this study, two nonparametric modeling approaches, random forest(RF) and support vector machine were adopted to estimate above ground biomass(AGB) using widely used Landsat imagery in the region,especially within the ecological forest of Fuyang District in Zhejiang Province, China. Correlation analysis was accomplished and model parameters were optimized during the modeling process. As a result, the best performance modeling method RF was implemented to produce an AGB estimation map. The predicted map of AGB in the study area showed obvious spatial variability and demonstrated that within the current ecological forest zone, as well as the protected areas, the average of AGB were higher than the ordinary forest. 17Preferentially selective extraction of lithium from spent LiCoO_(2)cathodes by medium-temperature carbon reduction roasting显示文摘Lithium recovery from spent lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)have attracted extensive attention due to the skyrocketing price of lithium.The medium-temperature carbon reduction roasting was proposed to preferential selective extraction of lithium from spent Li-CoO_(2)(LCO)cathodes to overcome the incomplete recovery and loss of lithium during the recycling process.The LCO layered structure was destroyed and lithium was completely converted into water-soluble Li2CO_(3)under a suitable temperature to control the reduced state of the cobalt oxide.The Co metal agglomerates generated during medium-temperature carbon reduction roasting were broken by wet grinding and ultrasonic crushing to release the entrained lithium.The results showed that 99.10%of the whole lithium could be recovered as Li2CO_(3)with a purity of 99.55%.This work provided a new perspective on the preferentially selective extraction of lithium from spent lithium batteries.Daixiang Wei Wei Wang Longjin Jiang Zhidong Chang Hualei Zhou Bin Dong Dekun Gao Minghui Zhang Chaofan Wu 2024International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2024,31,2:0
18Tunable quantum dots in monolithic Fabry-Perot microcavities for high-performance single-photon sources显示文摘Cavity-enhanced single quantum dots(QDs)are the main approach towards ultra-high-performance solid-state quantum light sources for scalable photonic quantum technologies.Nevertheless,harnessing the Purcell effect requires precise spectral and spatial alignment of the QDs’emission with the cavity mode,which is challenging for most cavities.Here we have successfully integrated miniaturized Fabry-Perot microcavities with a piezoelectric actuator,and demonstrated a bright single-photon source derived from a deterministically coupled QD within this microcavity.Leveraging the cavity-membrane structures,we have achieved large spectral tunability via strain tuning.On resonance,a high Purcell factor of~9 is attained.The source delivers single photons with simultaneous high extraction efficiency of 0.58,high purity of 0.956(2)and high indistinguishability of 0.922(4).Together with its compact footprint,our scheme facilitates the scalable integration of indistinguishable quantum light sources on-chip,therefore removing a major barrier to the development of solid-state quantum information platforms based on QDs.Jiawei Yang Yan Chen Zhixuan Rao Ziyang Zheng Changkun Song Yujie Chen Kaili Xiong Pingxing Chen Chaofan Zhang Wei Wu Ying Yu Siyuan Yu 2024Light(Science & Applications)2024,13,2:0
