| 2 | Comparative genomic and transcriptomic analyses uncover the molecular basis of high nitrogen-use efficiency in the wheat cultivar Kenong 9204显示文摘Studying the regulatory mechanisms that drive nitrogen-use efficiency(NUE)in crops is important for sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.In this study,we generated a high-quality genome assembly for the high-NUE wheat cultivar Kenong 9204 and systematically analyzed genes related to nitrogen uptake and metabolism.By comparative analyses,we found that the high-affinity nitrate transporter gene family had expanded in Triticeae.Further studies showed that subsequent functional differentiation endowed the expanded family members with saline inducibility,providing a genetic basis for improving the adaptability of wheat to nitrogen deficiency in various habitats.To explore the genetic and molecular mechanisms of high NUE,we compared genomic and transcriptomic data from the high-NUE cultivar Kenong 9204(KN9204)and the low-NUE cultivar Jing 411 and quantified their nitrogen accumulation under high-and low-nitrogen conditions.Compared with Jing 411,KN9204 absorbed significantly more nitrogen at the reproductive stage after shooting and accumulated it in the shoots and seeds.Transcriptome data analysis revealed that nitrogen deficiency clearly suppressed the expression of genes related to cell division in the young spike of Jing 411,whereas this suppression of gene expression was much lower in KN9204.In addition,KN9204 maintained relatively high expression of NPF genes for a longer time than Jing 411 during seed maturity.Physiological and transcriptome data revealed that KN9204 was more tolerant of nitrogen deficiency than Jing 411,especially at the reproductive stage.The high NUE of KN9204 is an integrated effect controlled at different levels.Taken together,our data provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms of NUE and important gene resources for improving wheat cultivars with a higher NUE trait. | Xiaoli Shi Fa Cui Xinyin Han Yilin He Long Zhao Na Zhang Hao Zhang Haidong Zhu Zhexin Liu Bin Ma Shusong Zheng Wei Zhang Jiajia Liu Xiaoli Fan Yaoqi Si Shuiquan Tian Jianqing Niu Huilan Wu Xuemei Liu Zhuo Chen Deyuan Meng Xiaoyan Wang Liqiang Song Lijing Sun Jie Han Hui Zhao Jun Ji Zhiguo Wang Xiaoyu He Ruilin Li Xuebin Chi Chengzhi Liang Beifang Niu Jun Xiao Junming Li Hong-Qing Ling | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,9: | 6 |
| 3 | Calcium silicate bioactive ceramics induce osteogenesis through oncostatin M显示文摘Immune reactions are a key factor in determining the destiny of bone substitute materials after implantation.Macrophages,the most vital factor in the immune response affecting implants,are critical in bone formation,as well as bone biomaterial-mediated bone repair.Therefore,it is critical to design materials with osteoimmunomodulatory properties to reduce host-to-material inflammatory responses by inducing macrophage polarization.Our previous study showed that calcium silicate(CS)bioceramics could significantly promote osteogenesis.Herein,we further investigated the effects of CS on the behavior of macrophages and how macrophages regulated osteogenesis.Under CS extract stimulation,the macrophage phenotype was converted to the M2 extreme.Stimulation by a macrophage-conditioned medium that was pretreated by CS extracts resulted in a significant enhancement of osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs),indicating the important role of macrophage polarization in biomaterial-induced osteogenesis.Mechanistically,oncostatin M(OSM)in the macrophage-conditioned medium promoted osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs through the ERK1/2 and JAK3 pathways.This in vivo study further demonstrated that CS bioceramics could stimulate osteogenesis better thanβ-TCP implants by accelerating new bone formation at defective sites in the femur.These findings improve our understanding of immune modulation of CS bioactive ceramics and facilitate strategies to improve the in vitro osteogenesis capability of bone substitute materials. | Panyu Zhou Demeng Xia Zhexin Ni Tianle Ou Yang Wang Hongyue Zhang Lixia Mao Kaili Lin Shuogui Xu Jiaqiang Liu | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,3: | 5 |

| 8 | Design and performance of the LLRF control system for CSNS linac显示文摘Objective The China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)linac is designed with beam energy of 80 MeV and a peak current of 15 mA in the first phase.It consists of RFQ,two bunchers of medium-energy beam transmission line,four DTL tanks and one debuncher of linac-to-ring beam transmission line.Correspondingly,eight online RF power sources are used to power these accelerators.In order to stabilize the amplitude,phase and resonant frequency of the RF accelerating field,and minimize beam loss,we have established digital low-level RF(LLRF)control system.Methods The LLRF system includes RF reference line,analog module(AM),clock distribution module,digital control module(DCM),high-power protection module,timing and RF interlock module and so on.The DCM is mainly responsible for the stability of the RF field amplitude and phase,and RF interlock module can quickly cut off the RF drive in case of arc in the RF transmission system,VSWR over threshold or cavity vacuum fault and so on.Result During beam commissioning,all of eight online units of LLRF control system were operating stably and reliably.The amplitude and phase variations of the linac fields have been achieved about±0.4%and±0.15°with 10-mA beam loading,much better than the design requirements of±1%in amplitude and±1°in phase.Conclusion With the help of this system,we achieved stable operation under different beam loads.Also,many important progresses have been achieved in the LLRF control system for amore convenient operation and a higher stability performance.This article describes the design and implementation of the LLRF for CSNS linac. | Linyan Rong Zhencheng Mu Jian Li Zhexin Xie Wenzhong Zhou Bo Wang Maliang Wan Meifei Liu Xinan Xu | 2020 | Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2020,4,2: | 1 |

| 12 | Electrically driven motion, destruction, and chirality change of polar vortices in oxide superlattices显示文摘Topological polar vortices, which are electric analogs of magnetic objects, present great potential in applications of future nanoelectronics because of their nanometer size, anomalous dielectric response, and chirality. To enable the functionalities, it is prerequisite to manipulate the polar states and chirality by using external stimuli. Here, we probe the evolutions of polar state and chirality evolutions of topological polar vortices in Pb TiO;/Sr TiO;superlattices under an electric field by using atomically resolved in situ scanning transmission electron microscopy and phase-field simulations. We find that, under electric field, the chiral vortex cores can be moved laterally to form close-pair structures, transform into a/c domain stripes, and finally become a nonchiral c-domain. Such transition is reversible and spontaneous after bias removal. Interestingly, during switching and backswitching events, the vortex rotation can be changed, offering a potential strategy to manipulate vortex chirality.
