Effect of inhomogeneous broadening on threshold current of GaN-based green laser diodes显示文摘The inhomogeneous broadening parameter and the internal loss of green LDs are determined by experiments and theoretical fitting. It is found that the inhomogeneous broadening plays an important role on the threshold current density of green LDs. The green LD with large inhomogeneous broadening even cannot lase. Therefore, reducing inhomogeneous broadening is a key issue to improve the performance of green LDs. | Yipeng Liang Jianping Liu Masao Ikeda Aiqin Tian Renlin Zhou Shuming Zhang Tong Liu Deyao Li Liqun Zhang Hui Yang | 2019 | Journal of Semiconductors2019,40,5: | 3
Haplotype-resolved genome of diploid ginger (Zingiber officinale) and its unique gingerol biosynthetic pathway显示文摘Ginger(Zingiber officinale),the type species of Zingiberaceae,is one of the most widespread medicinal plants and spices. Here,we report a high-quality,chromosome-scale reference genome of ginger‘Zhugen’,a traditionally cultivated ginger in Southwest China used as a fresh vegetable, assembled from PacBio long reads,Illumina short reads, and high-throughput chromosome conformation capture(Hi-C)reads.The ginger genome was phased into two haplotypes, haplotype 1(1.53 Gb with a contig N50 of 4.68 M)and haplotype 0(1.51 Gb with a contig N50 of 5.28 M).Homologous ginger chromosomes maintained excellent gene pair collinearity. In 17,226 pairs of allelic genes,11.9%exhibited differential expression between alleles.Based on the results of ginger genome sequencing, transcriptome analysis, and metabolomic analysis,we proposed a backbone biosynthetic pathway of gingerol analogs, which consists of 12 enzymatic gene families,PAL,C4H,4CL,CST,C3’H,C3OMT,CCOMT,CSE,PKS,AOR,DHN,and DHT.These analyses also identified the likely transcription factor networks that regulate the synthesis of gingerol analogs.Overall, this study serves as an excellent resource for further research on ginger biology and breeding, lays a foundation for a better understanding of ginger evolution, and presents an intact biosynthetic pathway for species-specific gingerol biosynthesis. | Hong-Lei Li Lin Wu Zhaoming Dong Yusong Jiang Sanjie Jiang Haitao Xing Qiang Li Guocheng Liu Shuming Tian Zhangyan Wu Bin Wu Zhexin Li Ping Zhao Yan Zhang Jianmin Tang Jiabao Xu Ke Huang Xia Liu Wenlin Zhang Qinhong Liao Yun Ren Xinzheng Huang Qingzhi Li Chengyong Li Yi Wang Baskaran Xavier-Ravi Honghai Li Yang Liu Tao Wan Qinhu Liu Yong Zou Jianbo Jian Qingyou Xia Yiqing Liu | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 2

Approaching the theoretical efficiency limit of quantum-dot lightemitting diodes via synergistic optimization显示文摘The importance of optical resonance in enhancing light outcoupling efficiency(OCE)is frequently overlooked in conventional bottom-emitting quantum-dot light-emitting diodes(QLEDs)due to their weak microcavity effect.Herein,we show that by synergistically optimizing the optical and the electrical performances,QLEDs with efficiency approaching the theoretical limit can be realized.By introducing a high refractive index indium zinc oxide(IZO)electrode and optimizing its thickness, the light OCE is significantly improved and consequently the red QLEDs exhibit an external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 33.2%,which is 1.4-fold higher than that of the reference devices with conventional indium tin oxide(ITO)electrodes. Moreover, with a high refractive index plastic substrate and a microlens array, the EQE can further be improved to a record value of 37.5%.Similar results are obtained in green and blue devices, which show an EQE of 18.8%and 14.4%,respectively.We also predict that the theoretical EQE limit of red, green, and blue QLEDs can reach 35.4%-36.5%,24.8%-34.0%,and 25.1%-35.8%,respectively,without using any light outcoupling structures. The proposed synergistic optimization strategy enables the efficiencies of red, green, and blue QLEDs to approach their theoretical limits. | Haotao Li Fengshou Tian Shuming Chen | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0
ZnSeTe blue top-emitting QLEDs with color saturation near Rec.2020 standards and efficiency over 18.16%显示文摘ZnSeTe blue Cd-free quantum dot(QD)has emerged as a promising emitter for display applications due to its nontoxicity, tunable wavelength, and high efficiency.However,ZnSeTe-based quantum-dot light-emitting diodes(QLEDs)usually exhibit unsaturated emissions with broad spectra.Herein,a top-emitting structure, equipped with a transparent indium-zinc-oxide(IZO)top electrode and an IZO phase tuning layer(PTL),is developed to modulate the emission spectra and the efficiency of the devices.Saturated blue emissions with color coordinates beyond Recommendation ITU-R BT.709(Rec.709)and near Rec.2020 standards are achieved. Moreover, benefiting from the improved outcoupling efficiency and the enhanced charge balance, the top-emitting QLED demonstrates a high external quantum efficiency of 15.14%,which is further improved to 18.16%by capping the devices with SiO2 nanospheres.Simulation analysis reveals that the surface plasmon polariton(SPP)losses are effectively reduced by applying a 100 nm PTL,leading to an outcoupling efficiency of 41.2%at a wavelength of 478 nm.Due to the simultaneously enhanced color saturation and efficiency,a high chroma efficiency(current efficiency/y coordinate in Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage chart)of 123 is obtained. The developed top-emitting architecture could enable the realization of efficient and saturated QLEDs for wide color gamut high-definition display applications. | Cuixia Yuan Fengshou Tian Shuming Chen | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 0
Expert consensus on prevention and cardiopulmonary resuscitation for cardiac arrest in COVID-19显示文摘Background:Cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)strategies in COVID-19 patients differ from those in patients suffering from cardiogenic cardiac arrest.During CPR,both healthcare and non-healthcare workers who provide resuscitation are at risk of infection. The Working Group for Expert Consensus on Prevention and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for Cardiac Arrest in COVID-19 has developed this Chinese Expert Consensus to guide clinical practice of CPR in COVID-19 patients.Main recommendations:1)A medical team should be assigned to evaluate severe and critical COVID-19 for early monitoring of cardiac-arrest warning signs.2)Psychological counseling and treatment are highly recommended, since sympathetic and vagal abnormalities induced by psychological stress from the COVID-19 pandemic can induce cardiac arrest.3)Healthcare workers should wear personal protective equipment(PPE).4)Mouth-to-mouth ventilation should be avoided on patients suspected of having or diagnosed with COVID-19.5)Hands-only chest compression and mechanical chest compression are recommended.6)Tracheal-intubation procedures should be optimized and tracheal-intubation strategies should be implemented early.7)CPR should be provided for 20-30 min.8)Various factors should be taken into consideration such as the interests of patients and family members, ethics, transmission risks, and laws and regulations governing infectious disease control.Changes in management:The following changes or modifications to CPR strategy in COVID-19 patients are proposed:1)Healthcare workers should wear PPE.2)Hands-only chest compression and mechanical chest compression can be implemented to reduce or avoid the spread of viruses by aerosols.3)Both the benefits to patients and the risk of infection should be considered.4)Hhealthcare workers should be fully aware of and trained in CPR strategies and procedures specifically for patients with COVID-19. | Wei Song Jie Wei Xiangdong Jian Deren Wang Yanhong Ouyang Yuanshui Liu Xianjin Du Ying Chen Yingqi Zhang Heping Xu Shuming Xianyu Qiong Ning Xiang Li Xiaotong Han Feng Zhan Tao Yu Wenteng Chen Jun Zhang Wenwei Cai Sheng’ang Zhou Shengyang Yi Yu Cao Xiaobei Chen Shunjiang Xu Zong’an Liang Duohu Wu Fen Ai Zhong Wang Qingyi Meng Yuhong Mi Sisen Zhang Rongjia Yang Shouchun Yan Wenbin Han Yong Lin Chuanyun Qian Wenwu Zhang Yan Xiong Jun Lv Baochi Liu Yan Cao Xiaojun He Xuelian Sun Yufang Cao Tian’en Zhou | 2021 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2021,14,6: | 0

MultiTrans:Multi-scale feature fusion transformer with transfer learning strategy for multiple organs segmentation of head and neck CT images显示文摘Radiotherapy with precise segmentation of head and neck organs at risk(OARs)is one of the important treatment methods for head and neck cancer. In routine clinical practice,OARs are manually segmented by doctors to avoid irreversible adverse reactions caused by radiotherapy, which is time-consuming and laborious. To assist doctors in OARs segmentation,a MultiTrans framework with a multi-scale feature fusion module was proposed in this paper. In the multi-scale feature fusion module, the original image and the feature map of CNN were fused together to form a compound feature map for more complete high-resolution global information. In addition, the global information was also fully utilized in MultiTrans by using the feature map restored from the compound feature map in the skip connection. The multi-scale interactive high-resolution information can make full use of medical image information and obtain features more comprehensively, thus improve the segmentation accuracy.Experiments showed that MultiTrans had an average Dice score coefficient(DSC)of 74.01%in all organs, effectively improved segmentation accuracy. In addition,we proposed a transfer learning strategy for small organs by transferring the weight parameters of organs with a large amount of data to organs with a small amount of data to speed up the convergence of MultiTrans and reduce the demand for data volume in the MultiTrans. With this strategy, the average DSC of small organs was obviously increased, making the segmentation of small organs more accurate. The proposed framework and transfer learning strategy have the potential of assisting doctors in OARs delineation. | Yufang He Fan Song Wangjiang Wu Suqing Tian Tianyi Zhang Shuming Zhang Peng Zhang Chenbin Ma Youdan Feng Ruijie Yang Guanglei Zhang | 2023 | Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2023,,2: | 0
