| 3 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 4 | Unfolding analysis of LaBr3:Ce gamma spectrum with a detector response matrix constructing algorithm based on energy resolution calibration显示文摘With respect to the gamma spectrum, the energy resolution improves with increase in energy. The counts of full energy peak change with energy, and this approximately complies with the Gaussian distribution. This study mainly examines a method to deconvolve the LaBr_3:Ce gamma spectrum with a detector response matrix constructing algorithm based on energy resolution calibration.In the algorithm, the full width at half maximum(FWHM)of full energy peak was calculated by the cubic spline interpolation algorithm and calibrated by a square root of a quadratic function that changes with the energy. Additionally, the detector response matrix was constructed to deconvolve the gamma spectrum. Furthermore, an improved SNIP algorithm was proposed to eliminate the background. In the experiment, several independent peaks of ^(152)Eu,^(137)Cs, and ^(60)Co sources were detected by a LaBr_3:Ce scintillator that were selected to calibrate the energy resolution. The Boosted Gold algorithm was applied to deconvolve the gamma spectrum. The results showed that the peak position difference between the experiment and the deconvolution was within ± 2 channels and the relative error of peak area was approximately within 0.96–6.74%. | 7 | Onychin inhibits proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells by regulating cell cycle显示文摘Aim: To investigate the effects of onychin on the proliferation of cultured rat artery vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) in the presence of 10% new-born calf serum (NCS). Methods: Rat VSMCs were incubated with onychin 1-50umol/L or genistein 10umol/L in the presence of 10% NCS for 24 h. The proliferation of VSMCs was measured by cell counting and MTS/PMS colorimetric assays. Cell cycle progression was evaluated by flow cytometry. Retinoblastoma (Rb) phosphorylation, and expression of cyclin D1 and cyclin E were measured by Western blot assays. The tyrosine phosphorylation of ERK1/2 was examined by immunoprecipitation techniques using anti-phospho-tyrosine antibodies. Results: The proliferation of VSMCs was accelerated significantly in the presence of 10% NCS. Onychin reduced the metabolic rate of MTS and the cell number of VSMCs in the presence of 10% NCS in a dose-dependent manner. Flow cytometry analysis revealed that the G1-phase fraction ratio in the onychin group was higher than that in the 10% NCS group (85.2% vs 70.0%, P<0.01), while the S-phase fraction ratio in the onychin group was lower than that in 10% NCS group (4.3% vs 16.4%, P<0.01). Western blot analysis showed that onychin inhibited Rb phosphorylation and reduced the expression of cyclin D1 and cyclin E. The effects of onychin on proliferation, the cell cycle and the expression of cyclins in VSMCs were similar to those of genistein, an inhibitor of tyrosine kinase. Furthermore immunoprecipitation studies showed that both onychin and genistein markedly inhibited the tyrosine phosphorylation of ERK1/2 induced by 10% NCS. | 8 | Abiogenic hydrocarbons in commercial gases from the Songliao Basin,China显示文摘This paper discusses the kinetic fractionation, composition and distribution characteristics of carbon and hydrogen isotopes for various alkane gases formed in different environments, by different mecha- nisms and from different sources in nature. It is demonstrated that the biodegradation or thermode- gradation of complex high-molecule sedimentary organic material can form microbial gas or thermogenic gas. The δ 13C1 value ranges from -110‰ to -50‰ for microbial gases but from -50‰ to -35‰ (even heavier) for thermogenic gases. Controlled by the kinetic isotope fractionation, both microbial and thermogenic gases have δ 13C and δ D values characterized by normal distribution, i.e. δ 13C1< δ 13C2< δ 13C3< δ 13C4 and δ DCH4< δ DC2H6< δ DC3H8<δ DC4H10, and by a positive correlation between the δ 13C and δ D values. Simple carbonbearing molecules (CH4, CO and CO2) can form abiogenic alkane gases via polymerization in the abiological chemical process in nature, with δ 13C1 heavier than -30‰. Moreover, controlled by the kinetic isotope fractionation, abiogenic alkane gases are characterized by a reverse distribution of δ 13C values and a normal trend of δ D values, namely δ 13C1> δ 13C2> δ 13C3> δ 13C4 and δ DCH4<δ DC2H6< δ DC3H8< δ DC4H10. The δ 13C values and δ D values are negatively correlated. Natural gases from 26 commercial gas wells distributed in the Xujiaweizi and Yingshan-Miaotaizi faulted depressions in the Songliao Basin, China, show δ13C1 values ranging from -30.5‰ to -16.7‰ with a very narrow δ D range between -203‰―-196‰. These gases are characterized by a reverse distribution of δ 13C values but a normal distribution of δ D values, and a negative correlation between their δ 13C and δ D values, indicating an abiological origin. The present study has revealed that abiogenic hydrocarbons not only exist in nature but also can make significant contribution to commercial gas reserviors. It is estimated that the reserve volume of alkane gases with abiogenic characteristics in these 26 gas wells in the Songliao Basin is over 500×108 m3. | 9 | Isolation of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone and Its Receptor Genes from Scatophagus argus and Their Expression Analyses显示文摘The teleost Scatophagus argus is a species whose females grows faster than males.Growth hormone(gh)mRNA abundance in females pituitary is higher than that in males;however the mechanism underlining such differential is still unknown.Growth hormone(GH)is tightly associated with GH-releasing hormone(Ghrh)in vertebrates.In this study,Ghrh gene(ghrh)and its receptor gene,ghrhr,were isolated from S.argus.Tissue expression analysis showed that ghrh and ghrhr were mainly expressed in hypothalamus while ghrhr was expressed in pituitary and gh was predominantly expressed in pituitary.Twenty cultured S.argus individuals were used to compare ghrh,ghrhr and gh mRNA abundances,120 g and 181 g average weight for male(n=11)and female(n=9),respectively.Real-time PCR indicated that the ghrh and ghrhr mRNA abundances in male hypothalamus were significantly higher than those in female hypothalamus while that of gh mRNA abundance was significantly higher in female pituitary than in male pituitary.The ghrh and ghrhr mRNA abundances were significantly up-regulated in female hypothalamus 3 h after injection of 0.1 mg kg^-1 body weight Ghrh while pituitary ghrhr and gh mRNA abundances were not affected.In female hypothalamus,ghrh and ghrhr m RNA abundances were not affected at 6 h post-injection of 4 mg kg^-1 body weight 17α-methyltes-tosterone(17α-MT)or 17β-Estradiol(E2).In female pituitary,ghrhr m RNA abundance was down-regulated by 17α-MT while that of gh m RNA abundance was up-regulated by E2.Our findings indicated that E2,rather than Ghrh,plays an important role in up-regulating the expression of gh in female S.argus,which should aid to understand the sexual dimorphism of teleost growth. | JIANG Dongneng SHI Hongjuan LIU Qianqing WANG Tuo HUANG Yuanqing HUANG Yang DENG Siping CHEN Huapu TIAN Changxu ZHU Chunhua LI Guangli | 2019 | Journal of Ocean University of China2019,18,6: | 6 |

Although the results of LabSOCS and ANGLE for ^(241)Am emitting lowenergy gamma rays were not very satisfactory, all of the three efficiency calibration methods passed acceptance criteria. The results confirmed the reliability of the calculation codes ANGLE and LabSOCS as alternative efficiency calibration methods in high-purity-germanium gamma spectrometry. | 12 | The electromagnetic response of composition-regulated honeycomb structural materials used for broadband microwave absorption显示文摘The undesirable absorption bandwidth is the main limitation for the application of microwave absorbing materials.Noting that the design of structure and composition of absorbing coating allows it to obtain a satisfying absorption bandwidth and to avoid weight increasing,honeycomb and its sandwich structures coated by various absorbant have been developed and measured using an arch measurement system over2-18 GHz.To further understand the absorption mechanisms of honeycomb structural materials,simulation based on finite element method and transmission line theory is performed to analyze the different responses to the applied microwave between honeycomb structural materials and uniform-medium slab materials.The proper composition design allows control over the microwave loss mechanisms,which optimize the coating to possess both of the dielectric and magnetic advantages.For the honeycomb structural materials,the magnetic resonation is found for the first time,which is resulting from the periodic honeycomb walls on both sides of the dielectric cavity(consisting of the aramid paper interlayer and vacuum hexagonal prisms).In addition,the conversion of structure from solid to honeycomb brings about changes in impedance,propagating path,effective wavelength,effective attenuation area,microwave phases,and inductive coupling effect,etc.,which result in a better microwave absorbing performance.The honeycomb sandwich structure coated by CIP/CB/EP with the weight ratio of 4:0.03:1 shows the absorption bandwidth of~9.8 GHz for reflection loss(RL)lower than-10 dB which covers part of the S and C bands and almost the whole X and Ku bands. | Huifang Pang Yuping Duan Xuhao Dai Lingxi Huang Xuan Yang Tuo Zhang Xiaoji Liu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,29: | 4 |
| 13 | Unfolding neutron spectra from water-pumping-injection multilayered concentric sphere neutron spectrometer using self-adaptive differential evolution algorithm显示文摘A self-adaptive differential evolution neutron spectrum unfolding algorithm(SDENUA)is established in this study to unfold the neutron spectra obtained from a water-pumping-injection multilayered concentric sphere neutron spectrometer(WMNS).Specifically,the neutron fluence bounds are estimated to accelerate the algorithm convergence,and the minimum error between the optimal solution and input neutron counts with relative uncertainties is limited to 10^(-6)to avoid unnecessary calculations.Furthermore,the crossover probability and scaling factor are self-adaptively controlled.FLUKA Monte Carlo is used to simulate the readings of the WMNS under(1)a spectrum of Cf-252 and(2)its spectrum after being moderated,(3)a spectrum used for boron neutron capture therapy,and(4)a reactor spectrum.Subsequently,the measured neutron counts are unfolded using the SDENUA.The uncertainties of the measured neutron count and the response matrix are considered in the SDENUA,which does not require complex parameter tuning or an a priori default spectrum.The results indicate that the solutions of the SDENUA agree better with the IAEA spectra than those of MAXED and GRAVEL in UMG 3.1,and the errors of the final results calculated using the SDENUA are less than 12%.The established SDENUA can be used to unfold spectra from the WMNS. | Rui Li Jian-Bo Yang Xian-Guo Tuo Jie Xu Rui Shi | 2021 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2021,32,3: | 4 |
| 14 | Celecoxib attenuates hepatocyte apoptosis by inhibiting endoplasmic reticulum stress in thioacetamide-induced cirrhotic rats显示文摘BACKGROUND Endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress is an important mechanism in the progression of chronic and acute liver diseases,especially in the progression and recovery of liver fibrosis.Excessive and long-term ER stress induces apoptosis.ER stressinduced apoptosis is considered to be an important pathway in the development of liver fibrosis.Cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2)induction is also closely related to ER stress.In our previous studies,we showed that celecoxib,a COX-2 inhibitor,improves liver fibrosis and portal hypertension.However,the role and mechanism of celecoxib in alleviating liver fibrosis remain unclear.AIM To investigate whether celecoxib alleviates liver fibrosis by inhibiting hepatocyte apoptosis via the ER stress response.METHODS Cirrhosis was induced by intraperitoneal injections of thioacetamide(TAA)for 16 wk(injection dose is 200 mg/kg per 3 d for the first 8 wk and 100 mg/kg per 3 d after 8 wk).Thirty-six male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups,namely,control group,TAA group,and TAA+celecoxib group.In the last 8 wk,TAA-induced cirrhotic rats received celecoxib(20 mg/kg/day)or the vehicle by gastric gavage.After 16 wk,the rats were sacrificed,and serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),and albumin(ALB)were detected.The hepatic fibrosis areas were evaluated by Sirius red staining and the degree of fibrosis was assessed by measuring the level of hydroxyproline.ER stress levels were evaluated by detecting the marker proteins glucose-regulated protein 78(GRP78),CCAAT/enhancer binding protein homologous protein(CHOP),PKR-like ER protein kinase(PERK),activating transcription factor 6(ATF6),and inositol-requiring enzyme 1 alpha(IRE1α).Apoptosis levels were evaluated by detecting caspase-12 and caspase-3.RESULTS The serum ALT and AST levels in the liver were significantly reduced by celecoxib;however,the serum ALB had no significant changes.Celecoxib significantly reduced the degree of liver fibrosis and the levels of hydroxyproline(-38%and-25.7%,respectively,P<0.01).Celecoxib ameliorated ER stress by reducing the level of GRP78 compared to the TAA group(P<0.05).Consistently,after celecoxib administration,the upregulation of TAA-induced hepatic apoptosis markers(caspase-12 and caspase-3)and CHOP were significantly inhibited.In addition,after celecoxib treatment,the expression of key molecules associated with ER stress(PERK,ATF6,and IRE1)was decreased(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Therapeutic administration of celecoxib effectively reduces hepatic apoptosis in TAA-induced cirrhotic rats.The mechanism of action may be attributed to the suppression of CHOP expression,which subsequently inhibits ER stress. | Wei Su Yang Tai Shi-Hang Tang Yan-Ting Ye Chong Zhao Jin-Hang Gao Bi-Guang Tuo Cheng-Wei Tang | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,28: | 4 |

| 18 | Novel Even Beam Splitters Based on Subwavelength Binary Simple Periodic Rectangular Structure显示文摘In this paper, a novel method of a subwavelength binary simple periodic rectangular structure is presented to realize even beam splitting by combining the rigorous couple-wave analysis with the genetic algorithm. Several even splitters in the terahertz region were designed and one of the silicon-based beam splitters designed to separate one incident beam into four emergent beams has total efficiency up to 92.23 %. Zero-order diffraction efficiency was reduced to less than 0.192 % and the error of uniformity decreased to 6.51 9 10-6. These results break the limitation of even beam splitting based on the traditional scalar theory. | 20 | Dispositional characteristics of Ordovician Wufeng Formation and Silurian Longmaxi Formation in Sichuan Basin and its adjacent areas显示文摘According to data of gas wells and typical sections of Wufeng Formation and Longmaxi Formation in Sichuan Basin,shale of various graptolite zones were analyzed to determine depositional environment,lithology and thickness characteristics of the graptolite shale interval of WF2-WF3 in the lower part of Wufeng Formation,the graptolite shale interval of WF4 in Guanyinqiao Member of Wufeng Formation and the graptolite shale interval of LM1-LM4 in the bottom of Longmaxi Formation,and characteristics of shale horizontal distribution were also investigated.During the depositional period of the graptolite shale interval of WF2-WF3,the study area was less affected by the Guangxi movement,the depositional environment was the deep water of open sea,where black shale was mainly deposited;the sedimentation center was developed in northeast Guizhou-northeast Sichuan and south Sichuan,the maximum thickness was from 4 to 6 m in the sedimentation center.During the depositional period of the graptolite shale interval of WF4,the depositional environment in the study area changed greatly due to global sea level fall and enhanced Guangxi movement;the central Sichuan paleouplift,the central Guizhou paleouplift and the Jiangnan-Xuefeng palaeouplift were further expanded,and the area of the sedimentary basin decreased;the depositional environment was mainly carbonate bioclastic shoal of shallow sea,and partially deep sea which only was distributed in the Shizhu-Fuling-Wuxi area in east and northeast Sichuan and the Gongxian-Yongchuan area in south Sichuan;sediments of shallow water were dominated by limestone and argillaceous limestone with abundant Hirnantia,sediments of deep water were dominated by calcareous mudstone and shale with Hirnantia.During the depositional period of the graptolite shale interval of LM1-LM4,due to rise of global sea level and Guangxi movement,the sedimentary area was larger than that in the depositional period of Guanyinqiao Member,and the sedimentary environment mainly was stagnant deepwater;thickness of black shale in the graptolite shale interval of LM1-LM4 was large,and the maximum thickness was over 20 m.Furthermore,control of the central Sichuan paleouplift,the central Guizhou paleouplift and the Jiangnan-Xuefeng paleouplift on black shale was discussed,and control of the Zhiliujing underwater highland/uplift,Huayingshan highland and Dingshan highland as well as western Hubei-Hunan underwater highland/uplift on shale deposition and preservation was also investigated. | Haikuan Nie Zhijun Jin Xin Ma Zhongbao Liu Tuo Lin Zhenheng Yang | 2017 | Petroleum Research2017,2,3: | 3 |
