1Beyond the stomach: An updated view of Helicobacter pylori pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment显示文摘Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) is an extremely common, yet underappreciated, pathogen that is able to alter host physiology and subvert the host immune response, allowing it to persist for the life of the host. H. pylori is the primary cause of peptic ulcers and gastric cancer. In the United States, the annual cost associated with peptic ulcer disease is estimated to be $6 billion and gastric cancer kills over 700000 people per year globally. The prevalence of H. pylori infection remains high(> 50%) in much of the world, although the infection rates are dropping in some developed nations. The drop in H. pylori prevalence could be a double-edged sword, reducing the incidence of gastric diseases while increasing the risk of allergies and esophageal diseases. The list of diseases potentially caused by H. pylori continues to grow; however, mechanistic explanations of how H. pylori could contribute to extragastric diseases lag far behind clinical studies. A number of host factors and H. pylori virulence factors act in concert to determine which individuals are at the highest risk of disease. These include bacterial cytotoxins and polymorphisms in host genes responsible for directing the immune response. This review discusses the latest advances in H. pylori pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment. 2我国部分地区丙型肝炎病毒基因分型研究显示文摘目的 研究中国丙型肝炎病毒 (HCV)基因型分布。方法 应用AmplicorPCR试剂盒检测北京、青岛、固安和周口等地 2 7例抗 HCV阳性的单采浆供血员和 36例慢性丙型肝炎病人血清HCVRNA ,并对其中 36例HCVRNA阳性者用INNO LiPATM HCVⅡ试剂盒进行HCV基因分型。结果 抗 HCV阳性的单采浆供血员和慢性丙型肝炎病人HCVRNA检出率分别为 48.15 % (13/ 2 7)和 6 9.44 % (2 5 / 36 ) ,平均为 6 0 .32 % (38/ 6 3)。对 13例HCVRNA阳性的单采浆供血员和 2 3例慢性丙型肝炎病人HCV基因分型结果表明 ,2 9例 (80 .5 5 % )为 1b型 ,5例 (13.89% )为 2型 ,另 2例(5 .5 6 % )不能被分型。结论 上述调查地区流行的HCV基因型以庄辉 Tracy L 崔怡辉 凌斌华 张玲霞 Bowden S 2001中华流行病学杂志2001,22,2:29
3Review of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in women with polycystic ovary syndrome显示文摘Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder in reproductive-aged women. Women with PCOS frequently have metabolic complications including insulin resistance(IR), early diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. Recent studies have demonstrated an association between PCOS and another metabolic complication: nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD). NAFLD occurs as a result of abnormal lipid handling by the liver, which sensitizes the liver to injury and inflammation. It can progress to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH), which is characterized by hepatocyte injury and apoptosis. With time and further inflammation, NASH can progress to cirrhosis. Thus, given the young age at which NAFLD may occur in PCOS, these women may be at significant risk for progressive hepatic injury over the course of their lives. Many potential links between PCOS and NAFLD have been proposed, most notably IR and hyperandrogenemia. Further studies are needed to clarify the association between PCOS and NAFLD. In the interim, clinicians should be aware of this connection and consider screening for NAFLD in PCOS patients who have other metabolic risk factors. The optimal method of screening is unknown. However, measuring alanine aminotransferase and/or obtaining ultrasound on high-risk patients can be considered. 4高含硫气井安全高效钻完井配套技术--以川东北罗家寨气田为例显示文摘四川盆地东北部罗家寨气田具有高含H_2S、高压、高产等特点,钻井过程中面临喷、漏、塌、卡、斜、硬、毒等难题。为此,以高含硫气井安全高效钻完井为目标,将目前先进的钻完井工艺技术进行了技术集成应用;按照国际一流水准的HSE管理体系要求,充分利用JSA、BBS卡、PTW、SWA、上锁挂签等安全工具.对各个专业化施工单位进行安全、环境及质量的全过程受控管理,真正做到界面清晰、衔接有序、高效运作。现场应用效果表明:①合成基钻井液完全满足本区域高含硫气井钻井要求;②PDC+旋转导向+随钻测井测斜+循环堵漏短节配套井下工具能满足高钻速、井眼轨迹优质、精控钻井液密度、及时应对堵漏等要求,且能钻达固井井深即可下套管;③采用封隔式尾管悬挂器为主体的防气窜配套工艺技术,配合使用弹性水泥浆体系,成功解决了喇叭口窜气问题,完全满足了后续作业对井筒完整性的要求;④LJ20井钻井周期较该气田平均钻井周期缩短了20%,平均机械钻速提高了41%.创造了该地区钻井的新纪录。所形成的钻完井配套技术可以有效地指导类似地区高含硫气田的安全高效开发。张俊良 文绍牧 邵勇 雷震中 Tracy Love 2015天然气工业2015,35,4:10
5TKA术中股骨假体悬突的危险因素与临床后果显示文摘背景:近年来,全膝关节置换(total knee arthroplasty,TKA)术中的股骨假体悬突现象日益引起骨科医生的重视。本文目的为研究男性与女性患者TKA术后股骨假体悬突的发生率、确定预测悬突发生的危险因素以及假体悬突是否与术后疼痛或膝关节活动度的降低有关。方法:对437例使用同一假体系统的TKA术中的股骨假体悬突进行测量。假体牢固固定后,分别在10个分区的中点以mm刻度测量其超出截骨面边缘的悬突程度。寻找假体悬突的预测因素,并研究假体悬突对术后疼痛及膝关节屈曲度的影响。结果:男性患者176膝中的40%(71膝)、女性患者261膝中的68%(177膝)至少在1个分区内发生≥3mm悬突,且常见于外侧2区(前远侧区)和3区(远侧区)。多因素分析模型中,女性、身材矮小以及使用大号股骨假体是发生明显悬突的强预测因素。1个或1个以上分区存在≥3mm股骨假体悬突几乎可使术后2年发生明显膝关节疼痛的风险加倍[比数比1.9,95%可信区间为(1.1,3.3)]。结论:本组病例中股骨假体悬突的发生率高,女性患者更常见且更严重;不论男性患者还是女性患者,使用的股骨假体越大,假体悬突的发生率和严重程度越高。≥3mm股骨假体悬突可使TKA术后2年有临床意义的疼痛发生率加倍。OrmondeM. 6Hospitalized ulcerative colitis patients have an elevated risk of thromboembolic events显示文摘AIM: To compare thromboembolism rates between hospitalized patients with a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis and other hospitalized patients at high risk for thromboembolism. To compare thromboembolism rates between patients with ulcerative colitis undergoing a colorectal operation and other patients undergoing colorectal operations. METHODS: Data from the National Hospital Discharge Survey was used to compare thromboembolism rates between (1) hospitalized patients with a discharge diagnosis of ulcerative colitis and those with diverticulitis or acute respiratory failure, and (2) hospitalized patients with a discharge diagnosis of ulcerative colitis who underwent colectomy and those with diverticulitis or colorectal cancer who underwent colorectal operations. RESULTS: Patients diagnosed with ulcerative colitis had similar or higher rates of combined venous thromboembolism (2.03%) than their counterparts with diverticulitis (0.76%) or respiratory failure (1.99%), despite the overall greater prevalence of thromboembolic risk factors in the latter groups. 11Developing single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers from transcriptome sequences for identification of longan(Dimocarpus longan)germplasm显示文摘Longan(Dimocarpus longan Lour.)is an important tropical fruit tree crop.Accurate varietal identification is essential for germplasm management and breeding.Using longan transcriptome sequences from public databases,we developed single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers;validated 60 SNPs in 50 longan germplasm accessions,including cultivated varieties and wild germplasm;and designated 25 SNP markers that unambiguously identified all tested longan varieties with high statistical rigor(P<0.0001).Multiple trees from the same clone were verified and off-type trees were identified.Diversity analysis revealed genetic relationships among analyzed accessions.Cultivated varieties differed significantly from wild populations(Fst=0.300;P<0.001),demonstrating untapped genetic diversity for germplasm conservation and utilization.Within cultivated varieties,apparent differences between varieties from China and those from Thailand and Hawaii indicated geographic patterns of genetic differentiation.These SNP markers provide a powerful tool to manage longan genetic resources and breeding,with accurate and efficient genotype identification.Boyi Wang Hua-Wei Tan Wanping Fang Lyndel W Meinhardt Sue Mischke Tracie Matsumoto Dapeng Zhang 2015Horticulture Research2015,2,1:6
12The price of protection:a defensive endosymbiont impairs nymph growth in the bird cherry-oat aphid,Rhopalosiphum padi显示文摘Bacterial endosymbionts have enabled aphids to adapt to a range of stressors,but their effects in many aphid species remain to be established.The bird cherry-oat aphid,Rhopalosiphum padi(Linnaeus),is an important pest of cereals worldwide and has been reported to form symbiotic associations with Serratia symbiotica and Sitobion miscanthi L-type symbiont endobacteria,although the resulting aphid phenotype has not been described.This study presents the first report of R.padi infection with the facultative bacterial endosymbiont Hamiltonella defensa.Individuals of R.padi were sampled from populations in Eastern Scotland,UK,and shown to represent seven R.padi genotypes based on the size of polymorphic microsatellite markers;two of these genotypes harbored H.defensa.In parasitism assays,survival of H.defensa-infected nymphs following attack by the parasitoid wasp Aphidius colemani(Viereck)was 5 fold higher than for uninfected nymphs.Aphid genotype was a major determinant of aphid performance on two Hordeum species,a modern cultivar of barley H.vulgare and a wild relative H.spontaneum,although aphids infected with H.defensa showed 16%lower nymph mass gain on the partially resistant wild relative compared with uninfected individuals.These findings suggest that deploying resistance traits in barley will favor the fittest R.padi genotypes,but symbiontinfected individuals will be favored when parasitoids are abundant,although these aphids will not achieve optimal performance on a poor quality host plant.Daniel J.Leyboume Jorunn I.B.Bos Tracy A.Valentine Alison J.Karley 2020Insect Science2020,27,1:5

20Helicobacter pylori arginase mutant colonizes arginase Ⅱ knockout mice显示文摘AIM: To investigate the role of host and bacterial arginases in the colonization of mice by Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori).METHODS: H.pylori produces a very powerful urease that hydrolyzes urea to carbon dioxide and ammonium,which neutralizes acid.Urease is absolutely essential to H.pylori pathogenesis;therefore,the urea substrate must be in ample supply for urease to work efficiently.The urea substrate is most likely provided by arginase activity,which hydrolyzes L-arginine to L-ornithine and urea.Previous work has demonstrated that H.pylori arginase is surprisingly not required for colonization of wild-type mice.Hence,another in vivo source of the critical urea substrate must exist.We hypothesized that the urea source was provided by host arginase Ⅱ,since this enzyme is expressed in the stomach,and H.pylori has previously been shown to induce the expression of murine gastric arginase Ⅱ.To test this hypothesis,wild-type and arginase (rocF) mutant H.pylori strain SS1 were inoculated into arginase Ⅱ knockout mice.RESULTS: Surprisingly,both the wild-type and rocF mutant bacteria still colonized arginase Ⅱ knockout mice.Moreover,feeding arginase Ⅱ knockout mice the host arginase inhibitor S-(2-boronoethyl)L-cysteine (BEC),while inhibiting > 50% of the host arginase Ⅰ?activity in several tissues,did not block the ability of the rocF mutant H.pylori to colonize.In contrast,BEC poorly inhibited H.pylori arginase activity.CONCLUSION: The in vivo source for the essential urea utilized by H.pylori urease is neither bacterial arginase nor host arginase Ⅱ;instead,either residual host arginase Ⅰ?or agmatinase is probably responsible.Songhee H Kim Melanie L Langford Jean-Luc Boucher Traci L Testerman David J McGee 2011World Journal of Gastroenterology2011,17,28:3
