| 1 | Genetic parameter estimation for juvenile growth and upper thermal tolerance in turbot(Scophthalmus maximus Linnaeus)显示文摘Twenty-six half-sib groups(53 full-sib families) of turbot, Scophthalmus maximus Linnaeus, were obtained by artificial insemination. We measured growth in the offspring(40–50 individuals/family) and subjected them to a thermal tolerance challenge over a period of 34 d. There was no significant difference in daily mortality(range: 0.580%–1.391%) between Days 1–13 during the thermal tolerance challenge. However, daily cumulative mortality increased rapidly between Days 14 and 29, especially on Days 15 and 16(20.232% and 34.377%, respectively). Mortality was highest on Day 16(14.145%). We estimated the genetic parameters using the average information restricted maximum likelihood method. We used a likelihood ratio test to evaluate the significance of effects in models with and without identity as an effect, and compared the final log-likelihoods(maximum log L). Lastly, we estimated phenotypic and genetic correlation between the upper thermal tolerance limit(UTT) and body weight(BW). In this study, the positive phenotypic correlation was low between UTT and BW(0.093±0.029). The genetic correlation between UTT and BW was negative(-0.044±0.239). The heritability for upper thermal tolerance was low(0.087±0.032), which is of approximately moderate heritability. The heritability for body weight was high(0.303±0.074). | 2 | The development of blood-retinal barrier during the interaction of astrocytes with vascular wall cells显示文摘Astrocytes are intimately involved in the formation and development of retinal vessels.Astrocyte dysfunction is a major cause of blood-retinal barrier injury and other retinal vascular diseases.In this study,the development of the retinal vascular system and the formation of the blood-retinal barrier in mice were investigated using immunofluorescence staining,gelatin-ink perfusion,and transmission electron microscopy.The results showed that the retinal vascular system of mice develops from the optic disc after birth,and radiates out gradually to cover the entire retina,taking the papilla optica as the center.First,the superficial vasculature is formed on the inner retinal layer; then,the vasculature extends into the inner and outer edges of the retinal inner nuclear layer,forming the deep vasculature that is parallel to the superficial vasculature.The blood-retinal barrier is mainly composed of endothelium,basal lamina and the end-feet of astrocytes,which become mature during mouse development.Initially,the naive endothelial cells were immature with few organelles and many microvilli.The basal lamina was uniform in thickness,and the glial end-feet surrounded the outer basal lamina incompletely.In the end,the blood-retinal barrier matures with smooth endothelia connected through tight junctions,relatively thin and even basal lamina,and relatively thin glial cell end-feet.These findings indicate that the development of the vasculature in the retina follows the rules of 'center to periphery' and 'superficial layer to deep layers'.Its development and maturation are spatially and temporally consistent with the functional performance of retinal neurons and photosensitivity.The blood-retinal barrier gradually becomes mature via the process of interactions between astrocytes and blood vessel cells. | Huanling Yao Tianshi Wang Jiexin Deng Ding Liu Xiaofei Li Jinbo Deng | 2014 | Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,10: | 6 |
| 3 | Reverse micelles extraction ofnattokinase:From model system to real system显示文摘Nattokinase is a novel fibrinolytic en- zyme, which is homologous to Subtilisin Carlsberg. In this paper, Subtilisin Carlsberg was taken as a model protein of nattokinase. Effects of pH, ionic strength, concentration of isopropanol on the extraction of Subtilisin Carlsberg with AOT/isooctane reverse mi- celles system were investigated. Further, the process of reverse micelles extraction of nattokinase from fermentation broth was studied. By taking the reverse micelles of AOT/isooctane as extractant to perform a full extraction cycle, it was found that about eighty percent of the total activity of nattokinase in the fer- mentation broth could be recovered and the purifica- tion factor was about 2.5. | 4 | The FGF21-adiponectin axis in controlling energy and vascular homeostasis显示文摘Whole-body energy metabolism and cardiovascular homeostasis are tightly controlled processes that involve highly coordinated crosstalk among distal organs.This is mainly achieved by a large number of hormones released from each organ.Among them,fibroblast growth factor 21(FGF21)and adiponectin have recently gained considerable attention,since both of them possess multiple profound protective effects against a myriad of cardio-metabolic disorders.Despite their distinct structuresand production sites,these two hormones share striking functional similarity.This dichotomy is recently reconciled by the demonstration of the FGF21-adiponectin axis.In adipocytes,both transcription and secretion of adiponectin are strongly induced by FGF21,which is partially dependent on PPARg activity.Furthermore,the glucose-lowering,lipid-clearing,and anti-atherosclerotic functions of FGF21 are diminished in adiponectin-null mice,suggesting that adiponectin serves as an obligatory mediator of FGF21-elicited metabolic and vascular benefits.However,in both animals and human subjects with obesity,circulating FGF21 levels are increased whereas plasma adiponectin concentrations are reduced,perhaps due to FGF21 resistance,suggesting that dysfunctional FGF21-adiponectin axis is an important contributor to the pathogenesis of obesity-related cardio-metabolic syndrome.The FGF21-adiponectin axis protects against a cluster of cardio-metabolic disorders via mediating multi-organ communications,and is a promising target for therapeutic interventions of these chronic diseases. | Xiaoyan Hui Tianshi Feng Qing Liu Yuan Gao Aimin Xu | 2016 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2016,8,2: | 4 |
| 5 | Unveiling the Effects of Interchain Hydrogen Bonds on Solution Gelation and Mechanical Properties of Diarylfluorene-Based Semiconductor Polymers显示文摘The intrinsically rigid and limited strain of most conjugated polymers has encouraged us to optimize the extensible properties of conjugated polymers.Herein,learning from the hydrogen bonds in glucose,which were facilitated to the toughness enhancement of cellulose,we introduced interchain hydrogen bonds to polydiarylfluorene by amide-containing side chains.Through tuning the copolymerization ratio,we systematically investigated their influence on the hierarchical condensed structures,rheology behavior,tensile performances,and optoelectronic properties of conjugated polymers.Compared to the reference copolymers with a low ratio of amide units,copolymers with 30%and 40%amide units present a feature of the shearthinning process that resembled the non-Newtonian fluid,which was enabled by the interchain dynamic hydrogen bonds.Besides,we developed a practical and universal method for measuring the intrinsic mechanical properties of conjugated polymers.We demonstrated the significant impact of hydrogen bonds in solution gelation,material crystallization,and thin film stretchability.Impressively,the breaking elongation for P4 was even up to~30%,which confirmed the partially enhanced film ductility and toughness due to the increased amide groups.Furthermore,polymer light-emitting devices(PLEDs)based on these copolymers presented comparable performances and stable electroluminescence(EL).Thin films of these copolymers also exhibited random laser emission with the threshold as low as 0.52μJ/cm^(2),suggesting the wide prospective application in the field of flexible optoelectronic devices. | Lubing Bai Yamin Han Chen Sun Xiang An Chuanxin Wei Wei Liu Man Xu Lili Sun Ning Sun Mengna Yu He Zhang Qi Wei Chunxiang Xu Yingguo Yang Tianshi Qin Linghai Xie Jinyi Lin Wei Huang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 2 |
| 6 | Recent Advances in Two-Dimensional Magnets:Physics and Devices towards Spintronic Applications显示文摘The emergence of low-dimensional nanomaterials has brought revolutionized development of magnetism,as the size effect can significantly influence the spin arrangement.Since the first demonstration of truly two-dimensional magnetic materials(2DMMs)in 2017,a wide variety of magnetic phases and associated properties have been exhibited in these 2DMMs,which offer a new opportunity to manipulate the spin-based devices efficiently in the future.Herein,we focus on the recent progress of 2DMMs and heterostructures in the aspects of their structural characteristics,physical properties,and spintronic applications.Firstly,the microscopy characterization of the spatial arrangement of spins in 2D lattices is reviewed.Afterwards,the optical probes in the light-matter-spin interactions at the 2D scale are discussed.Then,particularly,we systematically summarize the recent work on the electronic and spintronic devices of 2DMMs.In the section of electronic properties,we raise several exciting phenomena in 2DMMs,i.e.,long-distance magnon transport,field-effect transistors,varying magnetoresistance behavior,and(quantum)anomalous Hall effect.In the section of spintronic applications,we highlight spintronic devices based on 2DMMs,e.g.,spin valves,spin-orbit torque,spin field-effect transistors,spin tunneling field-effect transistors,and spin-filter magnetic tunnel junctions.At last,we also provide our perspectives on the current challenges and future expectations in this field,which may be a helpful guide for theorists and experimentalists who are exploring the optical,electronic,and spintronic properties of 2DMMs. | Vertikasari PNingrum Bowen Liu Wei Wang Yao Yin Yi Cao Chenyang Zha Hongguang Xie Xiaohong Jiang Yan Sun Sichen Qin Xiaolong Chen Tianshi Qin Chao Zhu Lin Wang Wei Huang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 2 |

| 14 | Correlation of gut microbiota and neurotransmitters in a rat model of post-traumatic stress disorder显示文摘Objective:To determine the effect of gut microbiota on a rat model of post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD)and explore the correlation of gut microbiota with behavior and neurotransmitters.Methods:We established a single prolonged stress(SPS)model to examine the pathogenesis of PTSD on rat behavior,gut microbiota,and neurotransmitter levels.Rats were separated into control and model groups,and neurotransmitter levels were measured using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.Then,16 S rRNA sequencing was used to compare the gut microbiota between the control and model groups.Results:Compared with those in the control group,freezing time significantly increased,while number of standing upright,crossing frequency,time spent in the central arena,and total distance traveled were significantly reduced in the model group after exposure to SPS(all P<.05).Meanwhile,serotonin,or 5-hydroxytryptamine,levels in the brain in the model group were significantly lower than those the control group(P紏.0332).In addition,changes were observed in the gut microbiota diversity and relative abundances of bacterial phyla,orders,families,and genera in the model group.Especially,changes in Firmicutes,Bacteroidetes,Cyanobacteria,and Proteobacteria levels were most pronounced after SPS exposure.Correlation analysis showed that the strongest positive correlation was found between Bacteroidaceae and 5-HT(P?.0009).Moreover,RF32 abundance was the most negatively related to 5-HT(P?.0009),crossing frequency(P?.0007),and total distance(P?.0003).Conclusion:Our results suggest that SPS model rats showed differences in behavior,neurotransmitter levels,and gut microbiota with control rats.Moreover,Firmicutes,Bacteroidetes,Cyanobacteria,and Proteobacteria were most relevant to the exhibited fear-like and anxiety-like behaviors and significant serotonin content reduction in SPS model rats. | Qin Zhou Tianshi Sun Fengzhi Wu Feng Li Yan Liu Weihong Li Ning Dai Libo Tan Tenghui Li Yuehan Song | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,4: | 1 |

| 18 | Stealth-ACK:stealth transmissions of NoC acknowledgements显示文摘Network-on-Chip(No C) is a promising replacement of bus architecture due to its better scalability.In state-of-the-art No Cs, each packet contains several fixed-length flits, which facilitates allocations of network resources but brings in many unused bits. In this paper, we propose a novel technique called Stealth-ACK to effectively address the above problem. Stealth-ACK leverages unused bits in head flits of non-ACK packets to carry and stealthily transmit ACK information. Such stealth transmissions of ACK information effectively reduce not only the amount of dedicated ACK packets on No C, but also the number of unused bits in head flits of non-ACK packets, which significantly reduces wastes on No C bandwidth. Experimental results show that Stealth-ACK averagely increases the throughput of 16 × 16 2-D mesh No C by 11.9%, and averagely reduces the No C latency by 34.8% on application traces of SPLASH-2. | 19 | One-Dimensional(NH=CINH_(3))_(3)PbI_(5)Perovskite for Ultralow Power Consumption Resistive Memory显示文摘Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites(OIHPs)have proven to be promising active layers for nonvolatile memories because of their rich abundance in earth,mobile ions,and adjustable dimensions.However,there is a lack of investigation on controllable fabrication and storage properties of one-dimensional(1D)OIHPs.Here,the growth of 1D(NH=CINH_(3))_(3)PbI_(5)((IFA)_(3)PbI_(5))perovskite and related resistive memory properties are reported.The solution-processed 1D(IFA)_(3)PbI_(5)crystals are of welldefined monoclinic crystal phase and needle-like shape with the length of about 6 mm.They exhibit a wide bandgap of 3 eV and a high decomposition temperature of 206℃.Moreover,the(IFA)_(3)PbI_(5)films with good uniformity and crystallization were obtained using a dual solvent of N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF)and dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO).To study the intrinsic electric properties of this anisotropic material,we constructed the simplest memory cell composed of only Au/(IFA)_(3)PbI_(5)/ITO,contributing to a high-compacted device with a crossbar array device configuration.The resistive random access memory(ReRAM)devices exhibit bipolar current-voltage(I-V)hysteresis characteristics,showing a record-low power consumption of~0.2 mW among all OIHP-based memristors.Moreover,our devices own the lowest power consumption and“set”voltage(0.2 V)among the simplest perovskite-based memory devices(inorganic ones are also included),which are no need to require double metal electrodes or any additional insulating layer.They also demonstrate repeatable resistance switching behaviour and excellent retention time.We envision that 1D OIHPs can enrich the low-dimensional hybrid perovskite library and bring new functions to low-power information devices in the fields of memory and other electronics applications. | Xuefen Song Hao Yin Qing Chang Yuchi Qian Chongguang Lyu Huihua Min Xinrong Zong Chao Liu Yinyu Fang Zhengchun Cheng Tianshi Qin Wei Huang Lin Wang | 2021 | Research2021,,1: | 0 |
