| 2 | The Current Status of Physical Therapy in China显示文摘The current health system in China has evolved by embracing both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. China is the only country in the world where the number of doctors is larger than the number of nurses but education programmes for other health professions like physical therapy have been slow to develop. In the case of physical therapy it was not until China won the bid for the Olympic Games that permission to establish the first physical therapy programme was granted. Since then China has undergone a period of rapid economic growth enabling many people to have a higher standard of living and improved health, but at the same time the country is faced with massive urbanization, industrialization, increasing environmental health threats, increased health disparities and an aging population. With the support of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, an increased investment by the Government in public health and rehabilitation and engagement of international education experts, entry-level education programmes for physical therapy have started to develop and there are now nine which are modeled, at least to some extent, on the World Confederation for Physical Therapy's international guidelines. | 6 | Maple phylogeny and biogeography inferred from phylogenomic data显示文摘Acer(the maple genus)is one of the diverse tree genera in the Northern Hemisphere with about 152 species,most of which are in eastern Asia.There are roughly a dozen species in Europe/western Asia and a dozen in North America.Several phylogenetic studies of Acer have been conducted since 1998,but none have provided a satisfactory resolution for basal relationships among sections of Acer.Here we report the first well-resolved phylogeny of Acer based on DNA sequences of over 500 nuclear loci generated using the anchored hybrid enrichment method and explore the implications of the robust phylogeny for Acer systematics and biogeography.Our phylogenetic results support the most recent taxonomic treatment of Acer by de Jong with some modifications;section Pentaphylla may be expanded to include section Trifoliata,and A.yangbiense may be included in section Lithocarpa.Sections Spicata,Negundo,Arguta,and Palmata form a clade sister to the rest of the genus where sections Glabra and Parviflora comprise the first clade followed by section Macrantha,sections Ginnala,Lithocarpa,Indivisa,sections Platanoidea and Macrophylla,section Rubra,section Acer,and section Pentaphylla.Monotypic sections Glabra and Macrophylla in North America are sister to the Japanese section Parviflora and Eurasian section Platanoidea,respectively.Ancestral area inferences using statistical dispersal and vicariance analysis(S-DIVA)and dispersal and extinction cladogenesis(DEC)methods suggest that Asia might be the most likely ancestral area of Acer as proposed by Wolfe and Tanai and molecular dating using Bayesian evolutionary analysis by sampling trees(BEAST)indicate that section diversifications of Acer might have completed largely in the late Eocene and the intercontinental disjunctions of Acer between eastern Asia and eastern North America formed mostly in the Miocene. | Jianhua Li Mark Stukel Parker Bussies Kaleb Skinner Alan R.Lemmon Emily Moriarty Lemmon Kenneth Brown Airat Bekmetjev Nathan G.Swenson | 2019 | Journal of Systematics and Evolution2019，57，6： | 3 |

| 14 | Antibiotic-loaded phosphatidylcholine inhibits staphylococcal bone infection显示文摘AIM: To test antibiotic-loaded coating for efficacy in reducing bacterial biofilm and development of osteomyelitis in an orthopaedic model of implant infection. METHODS: Phosphatidylcholine coatings loaded with 25% vancomycin were applied to washed and sterilized titanium wires 20 mm in length. A 10 mm segment was removed from rabbit radius(total = 9; 5 coated, 4 uncoated), and the segment was injected with 1 × 106 colony forming units(CFUs) of Staphylococcus aureus(UAMS-1 strain). Titanium wires were inserted throughthe intramedullary canal of the removed segment and into the proximal radial segment and the segment was placed back into the defect. After 7 d, limbs were removed, X-rayed, swabbed for tissue contamination. Wires were removed and processed to determine attached CFUs. Tissue was swabbed and streaked on agar plates to determine bacteriological score.RESULTS: Antibiotic-loaded coatings resulted in significantly reduced biofilm formation(4.7 fold reduction in CFUs; P < 0.001) on titanium wires and reduced bacteriological score in surrounding tissue(4.0 ± 0 for uncoated, 1.25 ± 0.5 for coated; P = 0.01). Swelling and pus formation was evident in uncoated controls at the 7 d time point both visually and radiographically, but not in antibiotic-loaded coatings.CONCLUSION: Active antibiotic was released from coated implants and significantly reduced signs of osteomyelitic symptoms. Implant coatings were well tolerated in bone. Further studies with additional control groups and longer time periods are warranted. | 18 | Preterm nutrition and neurodevelopmental outcomes显示文摘Survival of preterm infants has been steadily improving in recent years because of many recent advances in perinatal and neonatal medicine.Despite these advances,the growth of survivors does not reach the ideal target level of the normal fetus of the same gestational age.Postnatal weight gain is often not achieved because extrauterine growth has higher energy requirements than intrauterine growth,due to the intensive care environment,illness and inadequate nutrition.Although many other factors influence infant brain development,including family socioeconomic and educational background,the role of nutrition is considerable and fortunately,amenable to intervention.In the preterm neonate,the brain is the most metabolically demanding organ,consuming the largest proportions of energy and nutrient intake for its function and programmed growth and maturation.Weight gain,linear and head circumference growth are all markers of nutritional status and are independently associated with long-term neurodevelopment.Brain development is not only the result of nutrients intake,but in addition,of the interaction with growth factors which depend on adequate nutrient supply and overall health status.This explains why conditions such as sepsis,necrotizing enterocolitis and chronic lung disease alter the distribution and accretion of nutrients thereby suppressing growth factor synthesis.In this review,we will focus on the direct role of nutrition on neurodevelopment,emphasizing why it should be started without delay.The nutritional requirements of the preterm infant will be discussed,followed by the effects of general nutritional interventions and specific nutrients,as well as the role of nutritional supplements on neurodevelopment.The primordial role of human breast milk,breast milk fortifiers and human milk oligosaccharides will be discussed in detail.We will also examine the role of nutrition in preventing neonatal complications which can affect neurodevelopment in their own right. | Alyson Margaret Skinner Hassib Narchi | 2021 | World Journal of Methodology2021，11，6： | 2 |
