2Routing Protocol for Heterogeneous FANETs with Mobility Prediction显示文摘In recent years,with the growth in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs),UAV-based systems have become popular in both military and civil applications.In these scenarios,the lack of reliable communication infrastructure has motivated UAVs to establish a network as flying nodes,also known as Flying Ad Hoc Networks(FANETs).However,in FANETs,the high mobility degree of flying and terrestrial users may be responsible for constant changes in the network topology,making end-to-end connections in FANETs challenging.Mobility estimation and prediction of UAVs can address the challenge mentioned above since it can provide better routing planning and improve overall FANET performance in terms of continuous service availability.We thus develop a Software Defined Network(SDN)-based heterogeneous architecture for reliable communication in FANETs.In this architecture,we apply an Extended Kalman Filter(EKF)for accurate mobility estimation and prediction of UAVs.In particular,we formulate the routing problem in SDN-based Heterogeneous FANETs as a graph decision problem.As the problem is NP-hard,we further propose a Directional Particle Swarming Optimization(DPSO)approach to solve it.The extensive simulation results demonstrate that the proposed DPSO routing can exhibit superior performance in improving the goodput,packet delivery ratio,and delay.Qihui Wu Min Zhang Chao Dong Yong Feng Yanli Yuan Simeng Feng Tony Q.S.Quek 2022China Communications2022,19,1:3
3Electrolyte and current collector designs for stable lithium metal anodes显示文摘With the increasing demand for high energy-density batteries for portable electronics and large-scale energy storage systems,the lithium metal anode(LMA)has received tremendous attention because of its high theoretical capacity and low redox potential.However,the commercial application of LMAs is impeded by the uncontrolled growth of lithium dendrites.Such dendrite growth may result in internal short circuits,detrimental side reactions,and the formation of dead lithium.Therefore,the growth of lithium metal must be controlled.This article summarizes our recent efforts in inhibiting such dendrite growth,decreasing the detrimental side reactions,and elongating the LMA lifespan by optimizing the electrolyte structure and by designing appropriate current collectors.After identifying that the unstable solid electrolyte inter-face(SEI)film is responsible for the potential dropping in carbonate electrolytes,we developed LiPF_(6)-LiNO_(3) dual-salt electrolyte and lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide(LiFSI)-carbonate electrolyte to stabilize the SEI film of LMAs.In addition,we achieved controlled lithium depos-ition by designing the structure and material of the current collectors,including selective lithium deposition in porous current collectors,lithio-philic metal guided lithium deposition,and iron carbide induced underpotential lithium deposition in nano-cavities.The limitations of the cur-rent strategies and prospects for future research are also presented.Simeng Zhang Gaojing Yang Xiaoyun Li Yejing Li Zhaoxiang Wang Liquan Chen 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,5:2
4System architecture for high-performance permissioned blockchains显示文摘Blockchain(BC),as an emerging distributed database technology with advanced security and reliability,has attracted much attention from experts who devoted to efinance,intellectual property protection,the internet of things(IoT)and so forth.However,the inefficient transaction processing speed,which hinders the BC’s widespread,has not been well tackled yet.In this paper,we propose a novel architecture,called Dual-Channel Parallel Broadcast model(DCPB),which could address such a problem to a greater extent by using three methods which are dual communication channels,parallel pipeline processing and block broadcast strategy.In the dual-channel model,one channel processes transactions,and the other engages in the execution of BFT.The parallel pipeline processing allows the system to operate asynchronously.The block generation strategy improves the efficiency and speed of processing.Extensive experiments have been applied to BeihangChain,a simplified prototype for BC system,illustrates that its transaction processing speed could be improved to 16K transaction per second which could well support many real-world scenarios such as BC-based energy trading system and Micro-film copyright trading system in CCTV.Libo FENG Hui ZHANG Wei-Tek TSAI Simeng SUN 2019Frontiers of Computer Science2019,13,6:2
5A composite of Ni-Fe-Zn layered double hydroxides/biochar for atrazine removal from aqueous solution显示文摘This study assembled corn stalk-derived biochar(BC)with layered double hydroxide(LDH)through a rapid coprecipitation of biochar and metal(Ni/Fe/Zn)hydroxide precipitates.A BC and LDH composite(BC-LDH)and modified BC-LDH material after heating(BC-LDH-P)were prepared successfully for atrazine adsorptive removal.The physicochemical properties of the synthesized samples were analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Batch experiments were conducted to study the sorption of atrazine onto BC,BC-LDH,and BC-LDH-P from the aqueous solution.The adsorption of atrazine onto BC-LDH and BC-LDH-P were performed following with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model,and the sorption isotherms agreed well with the Freundlich fitting model.The adsorption amounts of the three materials are arranged in descending order is as follows:BC-LDH-P>BC-LDH>BC(143.15>123.10>95.93 mg g−1,respectively).Due to the high crystallinity of the LDH material and the high binding degree with biochar,Ni/Fe/Zn-LDH biochar composites offer a potential alternative to a carbon-based adsorbent for atrazine removal from aqueous solution.Yifan Wang Jiaming Kang Simeng Jiang Hui Li Zheyi Ren Qinbo Xu Qun Jiang Wenzhu Liu Ruizhen Li Ying Zhang 2020Biochar2020,2,4:2
6Adaptive 3D Routing Protocol for Flying Ad Hoc Networks Based on Prediction-Driven Q-Learning显示文摘The routing protocols are paramount to guarantee the Quality of Service(QoS)for Flying Ad Hoc Networks(FANETs).However,they still face several challenges owing to high mobility and dynamic topology.This paper mainly focuses on the adaptive routing protocol and proposes a Three Dimensional Q-Learning(3DQ)based routing protocol to guarantee the packet delivery ratio and improve the QoS.In 3DQ routing,we propose a Q-Learning based routing decision scheme,which contains a link-state prediction module and routing decision module.The link-state prediction module allows each Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)to predict the link-state of Neighboring UAVs(NUs),considering their Three Dimensional mobility and packet arrival.Then,UAV can produce routing decisions with the help of the routing decision module considering the link-state.We evaluate the various performance of 3DQ routing,and simulation results demonstrate that 3DQ can improve packet delivery ratio,goodput and delay of baseline protocol at most 71.36%,89.32%and 83.54%in FANETs over a variety of communication scenarios.Min Zhang Chao Dong Simeng Feng Xin Guan Huichao Chen Qihui Wu 2022China Communications2022,19,5:1
7Characteristics of fungal community structure during the decomposition of mixed foliage litter from Pinus massoniana and broadleaved tree species in southwestern China显示文摘针叶树凋落物相当顽强且养分含量低,而阔叶凋落物通过增加可降解养分和促进微生物代谢来促进针叶凋落物的分解。马尾松(Pinus massoniana)凋落物和三个阔叶凋落物混合可能会增加真菌分解者的多样性和丰富性,并且会随着阔叶树种的数量和比例而有所差异。我们使用高通量测序技术分析了西南地区马尾松与香椿(Toona sinensis),香樟(Cinnamomum camphora)和檫木(Sassafras tzumu)凋落叶混合分解过程中的真菌群落组成和多样性,共设置35种实验处理。研究结果表明,与单一凋落叶相比,除马尾松+香椿,马尾松+檫木+香椿和马尾松+檫木+香樟组合中马尾松凋落叶占70%-80%以及马尾松+檫木+香樟+香椿组合中香椿凋落叶所占比例较小外,其余混合凋落叶均增加了真菌的多样性和丰富性。其中马尾松+香樟+香椿组合中的7:1:2的真菌多样性和丰富性显著高于其他处理。子囊菌门和担子菌门是最主要的优势门,曲霉属是最丰富的真菌群落属。一针一阔(6:4)和一针两阔(阔叶凋落叶占30%-40%)组合的凋落叶在整个分解过程中均表现出较强的协同作用,并且增加了可分解较难分解物质真菌菌群的相对丰度。可见马尾松+香樟+香椿组合中阔叶凋落物占30%-40%比例时增加了真菌的多样性,促进了针叶凋落物中难分解物质的分解。因此,香椿和香樟可能是构建马尾松混交林潜在的候选阔叶伴生树种。Yan Zhang Xun Li Danju Zhang Yu Qin Yang Zhou Simeng Song Jian Zhang 2020Journal of Plant Ecology2020,13,5:1

9Formation and evolution of petroliferous basins in African continent and their hydrocarbon distribution显示文摘There are eighty sedimentary basins in five different types in African continent,i.e.craton sag basin,foreland basin,intermountain basin,passive margin basin and rift basin,which underwent the stress environment of stable depression-compression-extension.The first three types of basins had been intensely influenced by Hercynian and Alpine tectonic movement,while the later two types of basins always exist in a stable extension environment.Different basin evolution caused the obviously hydrocarbon distribution difference.In North Africa,marginal craton sag and rift basins show great expedition potential of hydrocarbon,marginal craton sag basins had good formation and preservation of Lower Silurian hot shale,tectonic-strata traps and migration pathway formed by Hercynian unconformity,and rift basins had excellent Upper Cretaceous marine source rocks and good hydrocarbon preservation with little tectonic activity.Meanwhile,in the salt-containing passive margin basins and delta basins of West Africa,thick strata containing high quality source rocks and plastic strata were well developed.Source rocks of high maturity,good hydrocarbon preservation,growth faults and deformational structure traps were formed by abundant overlying sediments and sources supplied from Tertiary large water system.SUN Haitao ZHONG Dakang ZHANG Simeng WANG Xingming 2010Global Geology2010,13,1:1
10Kinetic Limits of Graphite Anode for Fast‑Charging Lithium‑Ion Batteries显示文摘Fast-charging lithium-ion batteries are highly required,especially in reducing the mileage anxiety of the widespread electric vehicles.One of the biggest bottlenecks lies in the sluggish kinetics of the Li^(+)intercalation into the graphite anode;slow intercalation will lead to lithium metal plating,severe side reactions,and safety concerns.The premise to solve these problems is to fully understand the reaction pathways and rate-determining steps of graphite during fast Li^(+)intercalation.Herein,we compare the Li^(+)diffusion through the graphite particle,interface,and electrode,uncover the structure of the lithiated graphite at high current densities,and correlate them with the reaction kinetics and electrochemical performances.It is found that the rate-determining steps are highly dependent on the particle size,interphase property,and electrode configuration.Insufficient Li^(+)diffusion leads to high polarization,incomplete intercalation,and the coexistence of several staging structures.Interfacial Li^(+)diffusion and electrode transportation are the main rate-determining steps if the particle size is less than 10μm.The former is highly dependent on the electrolyte chemistry and can be enhanced by constructing a fluorinated interphase.Our findings enrich the understanding of the graphite structural evolution during rapid Li^(+)intercalation,decipher the bottleneck for the sluggish reaction kinetics,and provide strategic guidelines to boost the fast-charging performance of graphite anode.Suting Weng Gaojing Yang Simeng Zhang Xiaozhi Liu Xiao Zhang Zepeng Liu Mengyan Cao Mehmet Nurullah Ateş Yejing Li Liquan Chen Zhaoxiang Wang Xuefeng Wang 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,11:1
11Epidemiological Characteristics of Influenza A and B in Macao,2010–2018显示文摘Influenza is one of the major respiratory diseases in humans.Macao is a tourist city with high density of population and special population mobility.The study on the epidemiological characteristics of influenza in Macao should bring great value for preventing influenza in tourist cities like Macao in the world.In this study,we collected a total of 104,874 samples with influenza-like illness(ILI)in Macao from 2010 to 2018.Chi-square test and binary multivariable logistic regression were used to investigate the epidemiological characteristics of influenza A and B in Macao.Among these ILI samples,the overall positive rate is 17.17%for influenza A and 6.97%for influenza B.The epidemics of influenza in three years(i.e.,2012,2017 and 2018)differ from the remaining years(i.e.,normal years).In a normal year,influenza A occurs year-round whereas influenza B is seasonal.Our research shows significant differences in influenza infections between different age groups in normal years.Interestingly,our analysis shows no significant difference between locals and tourists in influenza A and B infection in a normal year,whereas the odds of influenza A in tourists were significantly higher than those in locals in July 2017 and the odds of influenza B in tourists were significantly higher than those in locals in January–February 2012 and January–February 2018.This is possibly attributed by the policy of free vaccination to everyone in Macao.These findings should be valuable for preventing influenza in not only Macao but also the world.HoiMan Ng Teng Zhang Guoliang Wang SiMeng Kan Guoyi Ma Zhe Li Chang Chen Dandan Wang MengIn Wong ChioHang Wong Jinliang Ni Xiaohua Douglas Zhang 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,5:1
12Properties and Hydration Mechanism of Cementitious Materials Prepared from Calcined Coal Gangue显示文摘The preparation of cementitious materials by replacing part of the cement with activated coal gangue is of great significance to the cement industry in terms of carbon reduction and coal-based solid waste utilization.For this paper,cementitious material was prepared by firing activated coal gangue under suspension conditions and batching it with limestone powder using Inner Mongolia coal gangue as raw material.The optimal ratio was determined by testing the strength changes of the cementitious material at 3,7,and 28 days of hydration,and the hydration process and mechanism were explored by combining the pore structure,heat of hydration,chemical composition,phase composition,and microscopic morphological characteristics of the hydration products.The results showed that the active materials formulated from activated gangue and limestone powder can be used to prepare cementitious materials with good performance at the level of 30%–50%replacement of cement.The optimal ratio was 30%replacement of cement,and the mass ratio of calcined gangue to limestone powder was 2:1.The 3 days compressive strength of this ratio was 28.8 MPa,which was only slightly lower than that of cement.However,the 28 days compressive strength of samples reached 67.5 MPa,which was much higher than that of the reference cement.In the hydration of this cementitious material,not only does the activated coal gangue react with the Ca(OH)_(2)formed by hydration to form C–S–H gel,but CaCO3 also participates in the reaction to form a new phase of carbon aluminate,and the two effects together promote the development of the later strength of the samples.This paper can provide a reference for carbon reduction in the cement production process and comprehensive utilization of coal gangue.Zhaopeng Wang Shaowu Jiu Hui Li Kaifeng Zhang Simeng Cheng 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,3:1
13Conformational change of E.coli sulfurtransferase YgaP upon SCN- in intact native membrane revealed by fluorescence lifetime and anisotropy显示文摘Fluorescence lifetime and anisotropy has become a prevalent tool to detect the structure change and motility property of proteins. YgaP is the only membrane-integrated rhodanese in E. coli. The sulfur transfer process has been characterized by various studies. However, the mechanism of the outward transportation of SCN^- remains unclear. In this work, we examined the fluorescence lifetime and anisotropy of site-specific incorporated unnatural amino acid 7-HC to study the conformational change of YgaP upon SCN^- binding. We also compared the fluorescence changes between detergent-wrapped environment in DPC and intact native membrane environment in SMA. Our results suggested the presence of at least two different conformations in YgaP protein. Both the residues in the middle of TMH2 and the residues near extracellular side play important roles in the binding and/or output of SCN^-. 15Dietary resistant starch alleviates Escherichia coli-induced bone loss in meat ducks by promoting short-chain fatty acid production and inhibiting Malt1/NF-κB inflammasome activation显示文摘Background:Escherichia coli(E.coli)infection in humans and animals usually comes with gut dysbiosis,which is potential culprit to skeletal health,it is still unclear to whether diet interfered gut microbiome changes can be a protective strategy to bone loss development.Here,the effects of resistant starch from raw potato starch(RPS),a type of prebiotic,on E.coli-induced bone loss and gut microbial composition in meat ducks were evaluated.Results:The results showed that dietary 12%RPS treatment improved bone quality,depressed bone resorption,and attenuated the pro-inflammatory reaction in both ileum and bone marrow.Meanwhile,the 12%RPS diet also increased the abundance of Firmicutes in E.coli-treated birds,along with higher production of short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs)especially propionate and butyrate.Whereas addition ofβ-acid,an inhibitor of bacterial SCFAs production,to the drinking water of ducks fed 12%RPS diet significantly decreased SCFAs level in cecum content and eliminated RPS-induced tibial mass improvement.Further,treatment with MI-2 to abrogate mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma translocation protein 1(Malt1)activity replicated the protective role of dietary 12%RPS in E.coli-induced bone loss including reduced the inhibition on nuclear factorκB(NF-κB)inflammasome activation,decreased bone resorption,and improved bone quality,which were correlated with comparable and higher regulatory T cells(Treg)frequency in MI-2 and 12%RPS group,respectively.Conclusions:These findings suggested that the diet with 12%RPS could alleviate E.coli-induced bone loss in meat ducks by changing the gut microbial composition and promoting concomitant SCFAs production,and consequently inhibiting Malt1/NF-κB inflammasome activation and Treg cells expansion.Huaiyong Zhang Simeng Qin Xiangli Zhang Pengfei Du Yao Zhu Yanqun Huang Joris Michiels Quifeng Zeng Wen Chen 2023Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,1:0

17Evaluation of meteorological predictions by the WRF model at Barrow, Alaska and Summit, Greenland in the Arctic in April 2019显示文摘Accurate meteorological predictions in the Arctic are important in response to the rapid climate change and insufficient meteorological observations in the Arctic.In this study,we adopted a high-resolution Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model to simulate the meteorology at two Arctic stations(Barrow and Summit)in April 2019.Simulation results were also evaluated by using surface measurements and statistical parameters.In addition,weather charts during the studied time period were also used to assess the model performance.The results demonstrate that the WRF model is able to accurately capture the meteorological parameters for the two Arctic stations and the weather systems such as cyclones and anticyclones in the Arctic.Moreover,we found the model performance in predicting the surface pressure the best while the performance in predicting the wind the worst among these meteorological predictions.However,the wind predictions at these Arctic stations were found to be more accurate than those at urban stations in mid-latitude regions,due to the differences in land features and anthropogentic heat sources between these regions.In addition,a comparison of the simulation results showed that the prediction of meteorological conditions at Summit is superior to that at Barrow.Possible reasons for the deviations in temperature predictions between these two Arctic stations are uncertainties in the treatments of the sea ice and the cloud in the model.With respect to the wind,the deviations may source from the overestimation of the wind over the sea and at coastal stations.ZHANG Tong CAO Le LI Simeng WANG Jiandong 2023Advances in Polar Science2023,34,4:0
18Dietary zero-dimensional fullerene supplementation improves the meat quality,lipid metabolism,muscle fiber characteristics,and antioxidative status in finishing pigs显示文摘With the increasing demand for high-quality pork,more nutritional substances have been studied for the regulation of meat quality.Zero-dimensional fullerenes(C60)can modulate the biological behavior of a variety of cell lines and animals.In this study,we report the biological effects of C60 on finishing pigs at different concentrations.A total of 24 barrows(Duroc×Large White×Landrace),with an average body weight of 21.01±0.98 kg,were divided into 3 groups and each treated daily with C60(100 or 200 mg per kg feed)or a control diet until the end of the experiment.Our results showed that dietary C60 supplementation improved flesh color,marbling scores,and flavor amino acid contents of longissimus dorsi(LD)of growing-finishing pigs(P<0.05).C60 improved meat quality by regulating lipid metabolism and muscle fiber morphology by mediating the expression of genes,L-lactic dehydrogenase(LDH),myosin heavy chain(MyHC)IIa,MyHCIIb,peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ(PPARγ),and fatty acid transport protein 1(FATP1)(P<0.05).Moreover,C60 substantially promoted the mRNA expression of antioxidant enzyme genes(P<0.05),which also contributed to improving meat quality.These findings have important implications for the application of C60 in the livestock industry,especially for improving the meat quality of fattening pigs.Simeng Liao Guang Liu Bie Tan Ming Qi Xin Wu Jianjun Li Xiaoqing Li Changfeng Zhu Jiamei Huang Shuo Zhang Yulong Tang Yulong Yin 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,4:0

20Three New Species of Diploderma Hallowell, 1861 (Reptilia: Squamata: Agamidae) from the Shaluli Mountains in Western Sichuan, China显示文摘In recent years,taxonomic research of the genus Diploderma has made great progress,but there are still areas lacking relevant investigations.During 2020-2021,we carried out survey of reptile diversity in and around the Shaluli Mountains and collected some specimens of Diploderma.Of which,based on systematics inferred from mitochondrial ND2 gene sequence and morphological data,three new species were recognized:Diploderma daochengense sp.nov.from the Shuiluo River and Muli River valleys in southeastern Daocheng County,D.xinlongense sp.nov.from the upper-middle valleys of the Yalong River in Xinlong County,and D.kangdingense sp.nov.from the Yalong River middle valley and Liqiu River valley.Specifically,these three new species formed three monophyletic lineages with strongly supported and nested into the subclade I of the Bayesian and Maximum Likelihood trees.The uncorrected mean genetic distance between these new species and their closely related species was 4.3%(D.xinlongense sp.nov.vs.D.panchi),3.4%(D.daochengense sp.nov.vs.D.yulongense)and 5.5%(D.kangdingense sp.nov.vs.D.bowoense),higher than many pairs of species of Diploderma.With respect to the morphology,D.daochengense sp.nov.can be easily diagnosed from D.yulongense byhaving smoothupper edge of the dorsolateral stripes,cyan or dark olive green to yellow gular spots inbothsexes and light yelloworwhite ventrolateral body in males;D.xinlongense sp.nov.can be easily diagnosed from D.panchi by having cyan gular spot in both sexes;D.kangdingense sp.nov.can be easily diagnosed from D.bowoense by having more T4S 20-25(average 23),more F4S 16-20(average 17)and yellow to light yellow ventrolateral body,yellow gular spot present in males.To date,the number of species of the genus Diploderma has increased to 40,of which 37 species have been known in China.Bo CAI Meihua ZHANG Jing LI Simeng DU Feng XIE Mian HOU Huaming ZHOU Jianping JIANG 2022Asian Herpetological Research2022,13,4:0
