1Clinical significance of extended high-risk human papillomavirus genotyping and viral load in cervical cancer and precancerous lesions显示文摘Persistent infections with specific high-risk human papillomavirus(HR-HPV)strains are the leading cause of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions.HPV-16 and HPV-18 are associated with more than 70%of cervical cancer.However,with recent widespread vaccination efforts against cervical cancer,the infection rates of HPV-16 and HPV-18 have decreased across all age groups,while the infection rates of other HR-HPV strains have increased.The non-16/18 HR-HPV strains play an important role in cervical lesions.These strains can be identified with extended genotyping,and the 2019 American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology(ASCCP)guidelines recommended an HPV-based testing to assess the risk of cervical disease in patients.We reviewed and analyzed the clinical benefits of applying extended HR-HPV genotyping,which was published by the International Agency for Research on Cancer(HPV-16,18,31,33,35,39,45,51,52,56,58,59,66,and 68),to cervical cancer screening.This review concluded that cervical cancer screening needs to include extended HR-HPV genotyping.The examination of extended HR-HPV genotyping in cervical intraepithelial lesions and cervical cancers can help guide clinical practices.Pingping Su Jincheng Ma Lirui Yu Shuting Tang Pengming Sun 2023Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinical Medicine2023,3,1:2
2Plant species coexistence alleviates the impacts of lead on Zea mays L.显示文摘Whether plant coexistence can reduce the impacts of lead (Pb) on crops in agroecosystems has not been well understood. We conducted a factorial experiment to investigate the effects of weeds coexisting with maize (Zea mays L.) on Pb accumulation in maize and soil microbes at two Pb levels (ambient and 300 mg/kg). Elevated Pb tended to increase the Pb concentration in maize and decreased soil microbial activity (indicated by the average well color development, AWCD), functional group diversity, as well as arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) colonization and vesicle number of maize. Compared to the monoculture, weeds coexisting with maize reduced the Pb concentrations in the root, leaf, sheath and stem of maize at both seedling and mature stages. In maize-weed mixtures, soil microbial activity and functional group diversity tended to increase for both Pb treatments relative to the monoculture. Furthermore, principal component analysis revealed that the soil microbial community structure changed with the introduction of weeds. The highest Pb accumulation in weeds occurred for the elevated Pb treatment in a three species mixture. 3GENERATOR VIBRATION FAULT DIAGNOSIS METHOD BASED ON ROTOR VIBRATION AND STATOR WINDING PARALLEL BRANCHES CIRCULATING CURRENT CHARACTERISTICS显示文摘Rotor vibration characteristics are first analyzed, which are that the rotor vibration of fundamental frequency will increase due to rotor winding inter-turn short circuit fault, air-gap dynamic eccentricity fault, or imbalance fault, and the vibration of the second frequency will increase when the air-gap static eccentricity fault occurs. Next, the characteristics of the stator winding parallel branches circulating current are analyzed, which are that the second harmonics circulating current will increase when the rotor winding inter-turn short circuit fault occurs, and the fundamental circulating current will increase when the air-gap eccentricity fault occurs, neither being strongly affected by the imbalance fault. Considering the differences of the rotor vibration and circulating current characteristics caused by different rotor faults, a method of generator vibration fault diagnosis, based on rotor vibration and circulating current characteristics, is developed. 6Low-bandgap conjugated polymers based on benzodipyrrolidone with reliable unipolar electron mobility exceeding 1 cm^(2) V^(-1)s^(-1)显示文摘The employment of an intrinsic quinoidal building block,benzodipyrrolidone(BDP),on constructing conjugated polymers(PBDP-2F and PBDP-2CN)with high electron mobility and unipolar transport characteristic in polyethylenimine ethoxylated(PEIE)modified organic field-effect transistors(OFETs)is reported.The intrinsic quinoidal characteristic and excellent coplanarity of BDP can lower the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)levels and improve ordered interchain packing of the resulting polymers in solid states,which are favorable for electron-injection and transport.By using PEIE as the interlayer to block the hole injection,unipolar n-type transport characteristics with high electron mobility of 0.58 and 1.01 cm^(2) V^(-1)s^(-1)were achieved by the OFETs based on PBDP-2F and PBDP-2CN,respectively.More importantly,the extracted mobilities are highly reliable with the reliability factor of above 80%.To the best of our knowledge,PBDP-2CN is the very first quinoid-based conjugated polymer with reliable electron mobility exceeding 1 cm^(2) V^(-1)s^(-1).This work represents a significant step in exploring intrinsic quinoidal CPs for application in n-channel OFETs and logic complementary circuits.Mingqun Yang Tian Du Xuxia Zhao Xuelong Huang Langheng Pan Shuting Pang Haoran Tang Zhongxiang Peng Long Ye Yunfeng Deng Mingliang Sun Chunhui Duan Fei Huang Yong Cao 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,7:1

9Manipulations of micro/nanoparticles using gigahertz acoustic streaming tweezers显示文摘Contactless acoustic manipulation of micro/nanoscale particles has attracted considerable attention owing to its near independence of the physical and chemical properties of the targets,making it universally applicable to almost all biological systems.Thin-film bulk acoustic wave(BAW)resonators operating at gigahertz(GHz)frequencies have been demonstrated to generate localized high-speed microvortices through acoustic streaming effects.Benefitting from the strong drag forces of the high-speed vortices,BAW-enabled GHz acoustic streaming tweezers(AST)have been applied to the trapping and enrichment of particles ranging in size from micrometers to less than 100 nm.However,the behavior of particles in such 3D microvortex systems is still largely unknown.In this work,the particle behavior(trapping,enrichment,and separation)in GHz AST is studied by theoretical analyses,3D simulations,and microparticle tracking experiments.It is found that the particle motion in the vortices is determined mainly by the balance between the acoustic streaming drag force and the acoustic radiation force.This work can provide basic design principles for AST-based lab-on-a-chip systems for a variety of applications.Hang Wu Zifan Tang Rui You Shuting Pan Wenpeng Liu Hongxiang Zhang Tiechuan Li Yang Yang Chongling Sun Wei Pang Xuexin Duan 2022Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering2022,5,2:1
10stAPAminer:Mining Spatial Patterns of Alternative Polyadenylation for Spatially Resolved Transcriptomic Studies显示文摘Alternative polyadenylation(APA)contributes to transcriptome complexity and gene expression regulation and has been implicated in various cellular processes and diseases.Singlecell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)has enabled the profiling of APA at the single-cell level;however,the spatial information of cells is not preserved in scRNA-seq.Alternatively,spatial transcriptomics(ST)technologies provide opportunities to decipher the spatial context of the transcriptomic landscape.Pioneering studies have revealed potential spatially variable genes and/or splice isoforms;however,the pattern of APA usage in spatial contexts remains unappreciated.In this study,we developed a toolkit called stAPAminer for mining spatial patterns of APA from spatially barcoded ST data.APA sites were identified and quantified from the ST data.In particular,an imputation model based on the k-nearest neighbors algorithm was designed to recover APA signals,and then APA genes with spatial patterns of APA usage variation were identified.By analyzing wellestablished ST data of the mouse olfactory bulb(MOB),we presented a detailed view of spatial APA usage across morphological layers of the MOB.We compiled a comprehensive list of genes with spatial APA dynamics and obtained several major spatial expression patterns that represent spatial APA dynamics in different morphological layers.By extending this analysis to two additional replicates of the MOB ST data,we observed that the spatial APA patterns of several genes were reproducible among replicates.stAPAminer employs the power of ST to explore the transcriptional atlas of spatial APA patterns with spatial resolution.This toolkit is available at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asfo5q6oxxno0u6fcn.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/BMILAB/stAPAminer and http://gffzz77e3413bc06540edsfo5q6oxxno0u6fcn.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/biocode/tools/BT007320.Guoli Ji Qi Tang Sheng Zhu Junyi Zhu Pengchao Ye Shuting Xia Xiaohui Wu 2023Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,3:1
11Cause–Effect Relationship between Meso-γ-Scale Rotation and Extreme Short-Term Precipitation:Observational Analyses at Minute and Sub-Kilometer Scales显示文摘The cause–effect relationship between meso-γ-scale rotation and extreme short-term precipitation events remains elusive in mesoscale meteorological research.We aimed to elucidate this relationship by analyzing a rainstorm over the Pearl River Delta during the nocturnal hours of 15 May 2017 based on 6-min radar observations and 1-min rain gauge data.This rainstorm had a maximum hourly rainfall of 100.1 mm,with 26 stations recording hourly rainfall>60 mm h^(−1) in 5 h.Extreme heavy precipitation was produced in association with a convergence zone along the southern side of a synoptic low-level shear line,where southwesterly warm,humid airflows with precipitable water of>60 mm,little convection inhibition(<10 J kg^(−1)),and a low lifting condensation level(about 300 m)dominated.A meso-γ-scale vortex was quantitatively identified during the hour with the largest number of gauges observing extreme hourly rainfall.The vortex had a mean diameter of 6.1 km and a peak intensity of 3.1×10^(−3) s^(−1) during its lifetime of 54 min.The vortex initialized and remained inside the region of extreme rain rates(radar-retrieved rain rates>100 mm h^(−1)),reached its peak intensity after the peak of the collocated 6-min rainfall accumulation,and then weakened rapidly after the extreme rainfall region moved away.The radar-retrieved liquid water path was about five to seven times the ice water path and the specific differential phase(Kdp)below 0°C increased sharply downward during the lifetime of the vortex,suggesting the presence of active warm rain microphysical processes.These results indicate that the release of the latent heat of condensation induced by extreme rainfall could have contributed to the formation of the vortex in an environment with a weak 0–1-km vertical wind shear(about 4–5 m s^(−1))through enhanced lowlevel convergence,although the strengthening of low-level updrafts by rotational dynamic effects and short-term rainfall cannot be ruled out.Qiuyang ZHANG Yali LUO Ying TANG Xin XU Shuting YU Chong WU 2022Journal of Meteorological Research2022,36,4:1

14Alternative Splicing of OsRAD1 Defines C-Terminal Domain Essential for Protein Function in Meiosis显示文摘Alternative splicing can generate multiple mRNAs that differ in their untranslated regions or coding sequences,and these differences might affect mRNA stability or result in different protein isoforms with diverse functions and/or localizations.In this study,we isolated a sterile mutant in rice with abnormal meiosis of microspore mother cells and megaspore mother cells that carried a point mutation in OsRAD1 gene.Cloning of OsRAD1 cDNAs revealed three transcript variants,named as OsRAD1.1,OsRAD1.2 and OsRAD1.3,respectively,which were derived from alternative splicing of the last intron.Proteins derived from the three transcripts were mostly identical except the difference in the very C-terminal domain.The three transcripts exhibited similar expression patterns in various tissues,but the expression level of OsRAD1.1 was the highest.Specific knockout of OsRAD1.1 led to sterility,while knockout of OsRAD1.2 and OsRAD1.3 together did not change the plant fertility.Overexpression of OsRAD1.2 and OsRAD1.3 cDNAs in OsRAD1.1-specific mutant did not complement the plant fertility.Yeast two-hybrid assay showed that OsRAD1.1,but not OsRAD1.2 and OsRAD1.3,interacted with the three other meiosis proteins OsHUS1,OsRAD9 and OsRAD17,suggesting that the C-terminal domain of OsRAD1.1 is critical for the protein function.YUAN Shuting XU Chunjue YAN Wei CHANG Zhenyi DENG Xingwang CHEN Zhufeng WU Jianxin TANG Xiaoyan 2020Rice science2020,27,4:0
15Field-effect at electrical contacts to two-dimensional materials显示文摘The inferior electrical contact to two-dimensional(2D)materials is a critical challenge for their application in post-silicon very large-scale integrated circuits.Electrical contacts were generally related to their resistive effect,quantified as contact resistance.With a systematic investigation,this work demonstrates a capacitive metal-insulator-semiconductor(MIS)field-effect at the electrical contacts to 2D materials:The field-effect depletes or accumulates charge carriers,redistributes the voltage potential,and gives rise to abnormal current saturation and nonlinearity.On one hand,the current saturation hinders the devices’driving ability,which can be eliminated with carefully engineered contact configurations.On the other hand,by introducing the nonlinearity to monolithic analog artificial neural network circuits,the circuits’perception ability can be significantly enhanced,as evidenced using a coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)critical illness prediction model.This work provides a comprehension of the field-effect at the electrical contacts to 2D materials,which is fundamental to the design,simulation,and fabrication of electronics based on 2D materials.Yao Guo Yan Sun Alvin Tang Ching-Hua Wang Yanqing Zhao Mengmeng Bai Shuting Xu Zheqi Xu Tao Tang Sheng Wang Chenguang Qiu Kang Xu Xubiao Peng Junfeng Han Eric Pop Yang Chai 2021Nano Research2021,14,12:0
16Few-Atom Copper Catalyst for the Electrochemical Reduction of CO to Acetate:Synergetic Catalysis between Neighboring Cu Atoms显示文摘Single-atom catalysts(SACs)are gaining increasing recognition because of their superior catalytic properties for various reactions.However,the performance of SACs is often limited by the lack of neighboring metal centers to cooperate in catalysis.Herein,a synergetic interaction between neighboring Cu atoms of a few-atom catalyst(FAC)on graphdiyne(GDY)is found to greatly enhance the production of acetate in the CO electroreduction reaction relative to Cu SACs.In a 1.0 M KOH electrolyte,this Cu FAC exhibits an acetate Faradaic efficiency of 53.8±1.5%,an ultrahigh relative purity of up to 97 wt%for liquid products,and excellent stability over 23 h continuous electrolysis at–0.8 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode.Theoretical studies suggest that the intersite catalytic communication between two neighboring metal atoms confined in each pore of GDY facilitates the formation of acetic acid through either stepwise hydrogenation of CH_(2)CO^(*)or the direct reaction of H_(2)Owith CH_(2)CO^(*).Our study demonstrates the unprecedented synergetic catalysis of Cu FAC in promoting the selective CO electroreduction toward acetate production.Weifeng Rong Haiyuan Zou Sha Tan Enyuan Hu Fan Li Chao Tang Hao Dai Shuting Wei Yongfei Ji Lele Duan 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,5:0

18Association Between rs1344706 of ZNF804A and Schizophrenia: A Meta-analysis显示文摘Schizophrenia is one of the most serious mental diseases found in humans. Previous studies indicated that the single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) rs1344706 in the gene ZNF804 A encoding zinc finger protein 804 A was associated with schizophrenia in Caucasian population but not in Chinese Han population. However, current results are conflicting in Asian population. In the present study, a meta-analysis was performed to revisit the association between rs1344706 and the risk of schizophrenia in Asian, Caucasian and other populations. Electronic search of Pub Med database identified 25 case–control studies with available genotype frequencies of rs1344706 for the meta-analysis,involving a total of 15,788 cases and 22,654 controls. A pooled odds ratio(OR) with 95% confidence interval(CI) was used to assess the association. The current meta-analysis showed an association between rs1344706 and schizophrenia in Caucasian populations(P = 0.028, OR = 1.138, 95% CI:1.014–1.278; P = 0.004 for heterogeneity) and Asian populations(P = 0.008, OR = 1.092, 95%CI: 1.023–1.165; P = 0.001 for heterogeneity), but not in other populations(P = 0.286,OR = 1.209, 95% CI: 0.853–1.714, P = 0.120 for heterogeneity). Egger's test(P > 0.05) and Begg's test(P > 0.05) are both suggestive of the lack of publication bias for the included studies. Thus, the absence of association in other populations suggests a genetic heterogeneity in the susceptibility of schizophrenia and demonstrates the difficulties in replicating genome-wide association study findings regarding schizophrenia across different ethnic populations.
