2Classification of seamount morphology and its evaluating significance of ferromanganese crust in the central Pacific Ocean显示文摘Using the SeaBeam technology, the morphology of seamount and its relation to the formation of cobalt-rich crust in the central Pacific Ocean were surveyed during the cruise in 2003 for marine mineral resources. The result shows that seamounts can be divided morphologically into the spire seamount and the flat topped seamount. These two types of seamount bear great differences in their landform, lithology and cobalt-rich crust. On the upper portion of the flat topped seamount, the flat top and the sharp escarpments are unfavorable to the growth of crust, and, consequently, the crusts here are mostly laminar or gravelly, their thicknesses generally show great variations, and the consecutive ore body often develops in its deep water region. On the spire topped seamount, however, the flat area is small, and its gradient is constant without large variation from the top to the bottom. This favors the growth of cobalt-rich crust and often leads to consecutive tabular ore body of medium thickness, occurring on the spire topped seamount from the shallow water region to the deep water region. The cobalt-rich crust on the spire topped seamount is much better than that on the flat topped seamount for the crust abundance, crust coverage and number of ore-occurrences within unit area. Furthermore, the crust on the spire topped seamount is rich in cobalt, nickel, manganese elements of high economic value. 5Use of gamma-irradiation pretreatment for enhancement of anaerobic digestibility of sewage sludge显示文摘The effects of γ-irradiation pretreatment on anaerobic digestibility of sewage sludge was investigated in this paper.Parameters like solid components,soluble components,and biogas production of anaerobic digestion experiment for sewage sludge were measured.The values of these parameters were compared before and after γ-irradiation pretreatment.Total solid(TS),volatile solid(VS),suspended solid(SS),volatile suspended solid(VSS),and average floc size of samples decreased after cirradiation treatment.Besides,floc size distribution of sewage sludge shifted from 80–100 mm to 0–40 mm after γ-irradiation treatment at the doses from 0 to 30 kGy,which indicated the disintegration of sewage sludge.Moreover,microbe cells of sewage sludge were ruptured by γ-irradiation treatment,which resulted in the release of cytoplasm and increase of soluble chemical oxygen demand(SCOD).Both sludge disintegration and microbe cells rupture enhanced the subsequent anaerobic digestion process,which was demonstrated by the increase of accumulated biogas production.Compared with digesters fed with none irradiated sludge,the accumulated biogas production increased 44,98,and 178 mL for digesters fed sludge irradiated at 2.48,6.51,and 11.24 kGy,respectively.The results indicated that γ-irradiation pretreatment could effectively enhance anaerobic digestibility of sewage sludge,and correspondingly,could accelerate hydrolysis process,shorten sludge retention time of sludge anaerobic digestion process.Shoujun YUAN Zheng ZHENG Yanyan MU Xin YU Yongfu ZHAO 2008Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2008,2,2:2

10Classical and quantum phases in hexagonal boron nitride-combined van der Waals heterostructures显示文摘Since the discovery of graphene,two-dimensional(2D)layered materials have attracted extensive attention owing to their unique properties and promising potential applications.In particular,van der Waals(vdW)heterostructures,artificially stacked with 2D materials,have provided an excellent platform to explore various applications and to unveil long-standing mysteries in quantum and condensed matter physics.Here,we discuss recent progress in novel classical and quantum phases in vdW heterostructures,emerging through thickness-dependent hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)combined with graphene and transitional metal dichalcogenides.As a cornerstone of vdW heterostructures,the h-BN plays diverse roles,such as tunneling barriers,dielectric layers,clean substrates,and capping layers,to realize numerous intriguing devices:field-effect transistors,tunneling light-emitting diodes,resonant tunneling diodes,nonvolatile memories,Bose-Einstein condensation,topological insulators,and graphene-based superconductors.The vdW heterostructures with various roles of h-BN continue to enrich our knowledge for quantum physics and practical future device applications.Shoujun Zheng Mali Zhao Linfeng Sun Heejun Yang 2021InfoMat2021,3,3:1

13miR-487a performs oncogenic functions in osteosarcoma by targeting BTG2 mRNA显示文摘Aberra nt microRNA(miRNA)expression plays a critical role in osteosarcoma(OS)pathoge nesis.In this study,we elucidated the involvement of miR-487a in OS and the underlying molecular mechanisms.We found that miR-487a was upregulated in OS clinical samples and cell lines.Knockdown of miR-487a suppressed OS cell growth and invasion and induced apoptosis;however,overexpression of miR-487a promoted OS cell growth and invasion.Accordingly,downregulation of miR-487a significantly suppressed tumor growth of OS xenografts in vivo.Furthermore,Bcell translocation gene 2(BTG2)mRNA was found to be a novel target of miR-487a.Knockdown of BTG2 using small interfering RNA(siRNA)recapitulated the oncogenic effects of miR-487az whereas BTG2 overexpression partially reversed these effects.Finally,miR-487a levels were found to be negatively correlated with BTG2 expression in OS clinical samples.Collectively,our data suggest that miR-487a is an oncogenic miRNA in OS and it lowers BTG2 expression.Zhiqian Gu Shaokun Wu Guoxing Xu Wei Wu Bo Mao Shoujun Zhao 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,6:1
14A New Understanding of the Sedimentary Environment of the Laiyang Group in the Lower Cretaceous of Lingshan Island,Shandong Province,East China显示文摘The sedimentary background and sedimentary environment of the Lower Cretaceous of Lingshan Island,Shandong,remain unclear.There is considerable controversy as to whether the sedimentary environment was marine or continental.In this study,analyses were conducted with respect to indicators of paleosalinity,the chemical composition of clay,paleobiota,the characteristics of strata exhibiting salinization in eastern China during the Early Cretaceous,and the relationship between paleosalinity and paleoclimate.The results indicate that the sedimentary environment of the Lower Cretaceous Laiyang Group of Lingshan Island was that of a salified lake rather than a marine environment.This study not only provides a reference for determining the sedimentary environment of the Lower Cretaceous Laiyang Group of Lingshan Island but also offers a new perspective for the study of Cretaceous strata with salinization characteristics in eastern China.ZHANG Xiangyu LI Shoujun ZHAO Xiuli GENG Geng YAN Mingming 2020Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,5:1

16Coupled evolution of piston asperity and cylinder bore contour of piston/cylinder pair in axial piston pump显示文摘The wear condition of the piston/cylinder pair is crucial to the performance and reliability of the axial piston pump.The hard piston surface,the soft cylinder bore surface,and the interface oil film affects each other during the wear process.Specifically,in the mixed lubrication region,the geometry of the hard piston surface asperity directly affects the wear of soft cylinder bore surface,while the asperities may deform or even degrade when penetrating and sliding against the cylinder bore.So far,there is no suitable method to simulate their coupled evolution.This paper proposed a wear process simulation model considering the real-time interaction between the elasto-plastic deformation of the piston surface asperity,the wear contour of the cylinder bore,and the lubrication condition of the interface.An offline library of the elasto-plastic constitutive behavior of the asperity based on the finite element method(FEM)is established as a part of the simulation model to precisely analyze the deformation and degradation of the asperity and quickly invoke them in the numerical wear process simulation.The simulation and experimental results show that the piston asperity and the cylinder bore contour converge to a steady state after running-in for about 0.5 h.The distribution of the simulated asperity degradation and wear depth is also verified by the experiment.Fei LYU Junhui ZHANG Shoujun ZHAO Kun LI Bing XU Weidi HUANG Haogong XU Xiaochen HUANG 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,8:0
17Performance optimization for high speed axial piston pump considering cylinder block tilt显示文摘Increasing the rotating speed is considered as an efficient approach to upgrade the power-to-weight ratio in an axial piston pump,but penalized by more leakage and more severe wear resulting from the adverse cylinder block tilt.Previous studies mainly focused on the bearing characteristic of the valve plate/cylinder block pair,but the spline coupling also plays a key role in the undesired cylinder block tilt,which has been little studied.A theoretical model for the rotating assembly is presented to investigate the effect of the spline coupling length on the cylinder block tilt and the performance of the valve plate/cylinder block pair.A typical high-speed axial piston pump with the displacement of 5.2 mL/r at 10000 r/min was studied by simulation and experiment.It shows that the optimal spline coupling length is one value increased by 2 mm from the original,bringing a remarkable leakage reduction under the high-speed condition by decreasing the cylinder block tilting angle.The experiment result matches well with the simulation.The influences of the spline coupling on the cylinder block tilt and the leakage were demonstrated.Haogong XU Junhui ZHANG Shoujun ZHAO Junyuan CHEN Weidi HUANG Xiaochen HUANG Fei LYU Qi SU Bing XU 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,9:0

19Time effects of rice straw and engineered bacteria on reduction of exogenous Cu mobility in three typical Chinese soils显示文摘Globally,copper(Cu)accumulation in soils is a major environmental concern.Agricultural organic waste and some bacterial species can readily absorb metals in an eco-friendly manner,and thus are commonly used in metal-contaminated soil remediation.This study investigates the change in Cu fractions during the aging process and the time effects of rice straw(RS)and engineered bacteria(EB)(Pseudomonas putida X4/pIME)on reduction of Cu mobility.Three typical Chinese soils(red,cinnamon,and black soils)were incubated with RS or RS+EB in the presence of exogenous Cu for 24 months.The soil physicochemical properties,reactive soil components,Cu fractions,and Cu mobility were determined over time.The Cu mobility factor(MF)values were the lowest in the black soil(6.4-9.2)because of its high organic carbon and clay contents.The additions of both RS and RS+EB accelerated Cu stabilization during the aging process in all three soils.The Cu MF values decreased with time during the initial 20 months;however,the MF values increased thereafter in all soils,which might be due to the reduction of humic substances and amorphous iron oxides and the increase in iron oxides complexed on the organic matter.The reduction rates of Cu MF were similar after 16,24,and more than 24 months in the red,cinnamon,and black soils,respectively,indicating that RS and RS+EB could limit Cu mobility at different times in various soils.The RS treatment showed the greatest efficiency in reducing Cu mobility in the red,cinnamon,and black soils after 12,12,and 8 months of incubation,respectively.The RS+EB treatment was more efficient than the RS treatment in the red soil during the initial 8 months of the incubation period.Our study provides theoretical support for Cu risk assessments and RS supplementation for Cu remediation in different soils.Hanzhi SHI Dian WEN Yongdong HUANG Shoujun XU Tenghaobo DENG Furong LI Zhichao WU Xu WANG Peihua ZHAO Fuhua WANG Ruiying DU 2022Pedosphere2022,32,5:0
20Modeling and Simulation of Electrical System in More Electric Civil Aircraft Considering Faults显示文摘Based on the integrated design and airworthiness verification of civil aircraft system,this paper completes the simulation modeling and fault modeling of aircraft electrical system. The aircraft electrical system is constructed in the form of dual generators and dual-channel power supply. The main power supply adopts the three-stage power generation system,the auxiliary power supply system uses the permanent magnet synchronous power generation system and a battery. The transmission and distribution system is responsible for the electrical power conversion and the logic control in the system fault-pattern.
