1The crosstalk between autophagy and ferroptosis:what can we learn to target drug resistance in cancer?显示文摘Autophagy is a conserved intracellular degradation system that plays a dual role in cell death;thus,therapies targeting autophagy in cancer are somewhat controversial.Ferroptosis is a new form of regulated cell death featured with the iron-dependent accumulation of lethal lipid ROS.This pathway is morphologically,biochemically and genetically distinct from other forms of cell death.Accumulating studies have revealed crosstalk between autophagy and ferroptosis at the molecular level.In this review,we summarize the mechanisms of ferroptosis and autophagy,and more importantly,their roles in the drug resistance of cancer.Numerous connections between ferroptosis and autophagy have been revealed,and a strong causal relationship exists wherein one process controls the other and can be utilized as potential therapeutic targets for cancer.The elucidation of when and how to modulate their crosstalk using therapeutic strategies depends on an understanding of the fine-tuned switch between ferroptosis and autophagy,and approaches designed to manipulate the intensity of autophagy might be the key.Yulu Zhou Yong Shen Cong Chen Xinbing Sui Jingjing Yang Linbo Wang Jichun Zhou 2019Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,4:9
2Virtual reality-based rehabilitation in patients following total knee arthroplasty:a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials显示文摘Background:Physical therapy is regarded as an essential aspect in achieving optimal outcomes following total knee arthroplasty(TKA).The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has made face-to-face rehabilitation inaccessible.Virtual reality(VR)is increasingly regarded as a potentially effective option for offering health care interventions.This systematic review and meta-analysis investigate VR-based rehabilitation's effectiveness on outcomes following TKA.Methods:From inception to May 22,2021,PubMed/Medline,Embase,Web of Science,the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,Scopus,PsycINFO,Physiotherapy Evidence Database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,and Wanfang were comprehensively searched to identify randomized controlled trials(RCTs)evaluating the effect of VR-based rehabilitation on patients following TKA according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses statement and the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions.Results:Eight studies were included in the systematic review,and seven studies were included in the meta-analysis.VR-based rehabilitation significantly improved visual analog scale(VAS)scores within 1 month(standardized mean difference[SMD]:−0.44;95%confidence interval[CI]:−0.79 to−0.08,P=0.02),the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC)within 1 month(SMD:−0.71;95%CI:−1.03 to−0.40,P<0.01),and the Hospital for Special Surgery Knee Score(HSS)within 1 month and between 2 months and 3 months(MD:7.62;95%CI:5.77 to 9.47,P<0.01;MD:10.15;95%CI:8.03 to 12.27,P<0.01;respectively)following TKA compared to conventional rehabilitation.No significant difference was found in terms of the Timed Up and Go(TUG)test.Conclusions:VR-based rehabilitation improved pain and function but not postural control following TKA compared to conventional rehabilitation.More high-quality RCTs are needed to prove the advantage of VR-based rehabilitation.As the COVID-19 pandemic continues,it is necessary to promote this rehabilitation model.Linbo Peng Yi Zeng Yuangang Wu Haibo Si Bin Shen 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,2:5

5Isolation,Screening and Identification of Antagonistic Actinomycetes against Ustilago scitaminea Syd显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to obtain actinomycetes strains having antagonistic effect on Ustilago scitaminea Syd. [Methods]At first,actinomycetes strains were isolated from 22 soil samples in Hainan sugarcane regions. Then,antagonistic actinomycetes against U. scitaminea were screened by confrontation culture. Finally,the taxonomic status of antagonistic actinomycetes was determined using 16 S rD NA. [Results] From the 22 samples,984 actinomycetes strains were isolated. From all the isolated strains,23 antagonistic actinomycetes strains were obtained through primary screening,and one strains with better antagonistic effect was then obtained through secondary screening,and designated FAS. 16 S rD NA identification showed that strain FAS shared 99% sequence similarity with Streptomyces cealestis US24. A phylogenetic tree was built with MAGE 7. 0 software,and the results showed that strain FAS had the shortest genetic distance with S. caelestis US24. Therefore,the actinomycetes FAS was determined as S. caelestis. 7Colonization Ability of Bacillus subtilis HAS in Sugarcane显示文摘Bacillus subtilis HAS had good control effects on sugarcane smut in the field. Colonization dynamics of B. subtilis HAS were studied through biotics marker and pot culture, to understand the bio-control mechanism of the strain and provide experimental basis for commercialization.The results showed that B. subtilis HAS had strong colonization ability, which could be colonized in sugarcane root, stem, leaf and rhizosphere for long time, but the colonization levels were different. The colonization density of B. sutilis HAS remained 103 CFU/g soil in the rhizosphere and 102 CFU/g(fresh weight) in the root after inoculation of 60 d. The colonization in the rhizosphere decreased first, then increased and decreased again,and finally stabilized. The colonization in the root first increased then decreased. 9Classification and quantification of excavated soil and construction sludge:A case study in Wenzhou,China显示文摘With rapid urbanization in China,a large amount of excavated soil and construction sludge is being generated from geotechnical and underground engineering.For sustainable management of these construction wastes,it is essential to quantify their production first.The present study has attempted to classify the excavated soil and construction sludge according to their composition and geotechnical properties(particle size,water content,plasticity index).Based on these classifications,a new approach was proposed to quantify the production.The said approach was based on multi-source information,such as the urban topographic map,geological survey reports,urban master plan,and remote sensing images.A case study in Wenzhou city of China was also pursued to illustrate the validity of the newly developed approach.The research showed that in 2021–2025,the total excavated soils and construction sludge production in Wenzhou would reach 107.5×10^(6) and 81.7×10^(6) m^(3),respectively.Furthermore,the excavated soil was classified into the miscellaneous fill,crust clay,muddy clay and mud with silty sand.Likewise,the construction sludge was classified as liquid sludge and paste-like sludge.The classification and quantification can serve as guidance for disposal and recycling,thereby leading to high-level management of waste disposal.Qimeng GUO Liangtong ZHAN Yunyang SHEN Linbo WU Yunmin Chen 2022Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2022,16,2:1
10Identification of A Strain HN-1 against Banana Wilt Disease and Determination of Its Antagonism显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to identify strain HN-1 against banana wilt disease and to determine its antagonism.[Method] The strain HN-1 was obtained from the soil in fields heavily infected by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cubense( FOC).Antagonism of the strain against F.oxysporum was tested via dual-culture and inhibition test on spore germination.[Result] HN-1 effectively inhibited mycelial growth and spore germination of F.oxysporum.Strain HN-1 was identified as Brevibacillus brevis according to its characteristics in morphology,physiology and biochemistry and its 16S rDNA sequence.The strain showed high inhibition effect on 15 species of fungal pathogens in the dual-culture trials with fungal pathogens.[Conclusion] The study provides theoretical basis for application of strain HN-1in agricultural fields.Shen Linbo Xiong Guoru Dong Lisha Kong Ran Guo Ting Zhang Shuzhen 2013Plant Diseases and Pests2013,4,4:0
11Virus Infection Situation of 37 Sugarcane Varieties in Guilin City显示文摘To understand virus infection situation of integrated demonstration and regional test sugarcane varieties in national sugarcane system in Guilin City,Guangxi Province,leaf samples with or without symptoms were collected from 37 sugarcane varieties,and five kinds of viruses were detected by RT-PCR with specific primers,including Sugarcane yellow leaf virus( SCYLV),Sugarcane streak mosaic virus( SCSMV),Sorghum mosaic virus( SrM V),Sugarcane mosaic virus( SCMV) and Sugarcane bacilliform virus( SCBV). The results showed that SCYLV was detected from four sugarcane varieties,and the detection rate was10. 81%; SCSMV was detected from five sugarcane varieties,and the detection rate was 13. 51%; SrM V was detected from four sugarcane varieties,and the detection rate was 10. 81%; SCMV had not been found; SCBV was detected from 27 sugarcane varieties,and the detection rate was 72. 9%. Additionally,mixed infection of different viruses was widespread,and the total mixed infection rate was 21. 62%. Thus,integrated demonstration and regional test sugarcane varieties in national sugarcane system in Guilin City had been seriously infected by viruses,and mixed infection of different viruses was common. 12Molecular Detection of Sugarcane Ratoon Stunting Disease in Hainan Sugarcane-growing Areas显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to clarify the occurrence of sugarcane ratoon stunting disease(RSD)in Hainan sugarcane-growing areas.[Method]In 2019,270 samples of sugarcane leaves were collected from six main sugarcane-growing areas in Hainan Province,and RSD was detected by PCR assay with specific primers.[Result]RSD was detected out in 41 out of 270 sugarcane samples,with an average detection rate of15.19%.The detection rates of RSD were different in six sugarcane-growing areas;the detection rate of RSD in Danzhou sugarcane-growing area was the highest of 22.00%;the detection rate of RSD in Lingao sugarcane-growing area was the lowest of 9.26%.RSD was detected out in 8 out of10 main sugarcane cultivars,among which Xintaitang 22 suffered the heaviest damage,with the positive detection rate of 45.83%;RSD had not been detected out in Zhongtang 1 and Zhongtang 2,while the positive detection rates of RSD in the remaining seven sugarcane cultivars were10.00%-31.25%.[Conclusion]RSD commonly occurs in Hainan sugarcane-growing areas.The research results provide a basis for scientific prevention and control of RSD and promotion and application of healthy virus-free sugarcane seedlings.Shen Linbo Xiong Guoru Feng Xiaoyan Wang Wenzhi Feng Cuilian Zhao Tingting Wang Jungang Wu Nannan Zhang Shuzhen 2020Plant Diseases and Pests2020,11,1:0
13Optimization of Streptomyces caelestis Culture Conditions and Preliminarily Determination of Its Antifungal Components显示文摘Streptomyces caelestis FAS is an actinomyces strain isolated with Ustilago scitaminea as an indicator. With GAUZE's medium as the basic medium,carbon source and nitrogen source in the medium and ventilation volume were optimized,and the antifungal substances produced by S. caelestis FAS were preliminarily determined through organic solvent extraction and ammonium sulfate precipitation. The results showed that the antifungal components produced by S. caelestis FAS were proteins,and the optimal culture conditions were using corn flour as carbon source and KNO_3 as nitrogen source and culturing in 250 ml triangular flask added with 70 ml of culture medium. 14Study on Wide Antifungal Property of Bacillus subtilis HAS显示文摘Bacillus subtilis HAS is a biocontrol strain with better inhibitory effect on Sporisorium scitaminea Sydow. In order to further understand its action range,with fungal pathogens in sugarcane production as targets,confrontation tests and tests of inhibitory effect of secondary metabolites on growth of pathogens were carried out. The results showed that B. subtilis HAS not only had better inhibitory effect on S. Scitaminea,but also inhibited the growth of various fungal pathogens in sugarcane production. The inhibitory effect was the best on Ceratocystis adiposum,Thielaviopsis paradoxa,Fusarium moniliforme and Colletotrichum fuleatum,which was reflected by the radius of inhibitory zone over 10 mm. The inhibitory rates of the secondary metabolites were about 70%.
