2Hierarchical representation of on-chip context to reduce reconfiguration time and implementation area for coarse-grained reconfigurable architecture显示文摘In reconfigurable system,fast reconfiguration and small size of configuration contexts are strongly required to enhance the processing performance and reduce the implementation overhead.In this paper,a hierarchical representation of contexts for CGRA called HCC is proposed to satisfy the above requirements.In HCC,the contexts are constructed in a hierarchical fashion to thoroughly eliminate the repetitive portions of the contexts,not only reducing the overall contexts storage size,but also alleviating the contexts transportation overhead.The fast context-indexing mechanism is proposed in HCC to achieve high configuration speed,since the hierarchically organized contexts can be located and accessed conveniently.HCC has been verified in a reconfigurable processor called REMUS HP.Owing to HCC,when implementing H.264 decoding on REMUS HP,76.67%of the overall contexts are reduced compared with the traditional non-hierarchical one;and the configuration speed is averagely 23×increased compared with the latest reported optimized configuration mechanism on Virtex-4 FX60.REMUS HP is implemented on a 48.9 mm2silicon with TSMC 65 nm technology.Simulation shows that 1920×1088@30 fps could be achieved for H.264 high-profile decoding when exploiting a 200 MHz working frequency.Compared with the high performance version of XPP,the performance is 181%boosted.WANG YanSheng LIU LeiBo YIN ShouYi ZHU Min CAO Peng YANG Jun WEI ShaoJun 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,11:7

43D star-like atypical hybrid MOF derived single-atom catalyst boosts oxygen reduction catalysis显示文摘Developing high-efficiency,stable and non-precious electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is highly important for energy conversion and storage.Single atom catalysts(SACs)show good potential in enhancing ORR,however,the specifical control over the coordination surroundings around single metal center to intrinsically modify the electron structure is still a great challenge.Herein,we demonstrate that a 3 D hybrid MOF composed of cobalt doped ZIF-L and ZIF-8,featuring star morphology with six equal branches,can be used as an advanced precursor for making the Co SACs for greatly boosted ORR.The as-synthesized Co_(SA)-N-C exhibits excellent ORR activity with E_(1/2) of 0.891 V in alkaline medium,outperforming the commercial Pt/C by 39 m V.Moreover,the E_(1/2) of Co_(SA)-N-C(0.790 V)is merely 15 m V,less than that of Pt/C(0.805 V)in acid medium,which is among the best in the reported state-of-the-art SACs.DFT calculations demonstrate that the enhanced ORR performance is assigned to the formation of atomically isolated cobalt atom coordinated three N atoms and one C atom,which is easier to decrease the free energy of rate determining step and accelerate the ORR process than that of traditional cobalt atom coordinated four N atoms.In addition,a primary Zn-air battery with Co_(SA)-N-C cathode reveals a maximum power density of 92.2 m W cm^(-2) at 120.0 m A cm^(-2),far higher than that of commercial catalysts(74.2 m W cm^(-2) at 110.0 m A cm^(-2)).Lei Zhou Peng Zhou Yelong Zhang Bingyao Liu Peng Gao Shaojun Guo 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4:4
5Advances of nanoparticles as drug delivery systems for disease diagnosis and treatment显示文摘Decades have passed since the first nanoparticles-base medicine was approved for human cancer treatment, and the research and development of nanoparticles for drug delivery are always undergoing.Nowadays, the significant advances complicate nanoparticles’ branches, including liposomes, solid lipid nanoparticles, inorganic nanoparticles, micelles, nanovaccines and nano-antibodies, etc. These nanoparticles show numerous capabilities in treatment and diagnosis of stubborn diseases like cancer and neurodegenerative diseases, emerging as novel drug carriers or therapeutic agents in future. In this review, the complicated branches of nanoparticles are classified and summarized, with their property and functions concluded. Besides, there are also some delivery strategies that make nanoparticles smarter and more efficient in drug delivery, and frontiers in these strategies are also summarized in this review. 6Different role of second phase in the micro-galvanic corrosion of WE43 Mg alloy in NaCl and Na_(2)SO_(4) solution显示文摘Effect of the second phase in the micro-galvanic corrosion of a commercial Mg alloy containing rare earth elements, cast WE43 alloy,was investigated in 0.6 M NaCl solution and 0.6 M Na_(2)SO_(4)solution by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) observations, scanning Kelvin probe force microscopy(SKPFM) analysis, hydrogen evolution, weight loss measurement, and electrochemical techniques. It is confirmed that the second phase of cast WE43 alloy is more active than Mg matrix and exhibits an anodic role in the micro-galvanic corrosion with α-Mg matrix as cathode and dissolves preferentially in Na_(2)SO_(4)solution, in contrast to the situation in NaCl solution. 7Construction and expression of nucleic acid vaccine pVAX1-h-alpha S_(1-140) coding human alpha-synuclein显示文摘BACKGROUND: The deposition of α-synuclein (α-syn) aggregates is a neuropathological feature of Parkinson’s disease. It remains impossible to involve α-syn aggregation in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. A nucleic acid vaccine will provide a new pathway to immunotherapy for Parkinson’s disease. OBJECTIVE: To construct a recombinant eukaryotic expression vector pVAX1 coding human α-syn and to observe its expression level in COS-7 cells. DESIGN AND SETTING: The present bioengineering and molecular biology experiment was performed at Department of Neurology, First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University & Chongqing Key Laboratory of Neurology. MATERIALS: The eukaryotic expression plasmid pVAX1, human embryonic brain tissue, healthy human blood cells, and COS-7 cells were purchased from Promega Company, USA. METHODS: The full-length CDS sequence of the human α-syn gene was amplified by RT-PCR, which contained restriction sites for the enzymes KpnⅠ, XbaⅠand Kozak consensus sequence. Then the PCR products and eukaryotic expression vector pVAX1 were digested with KpnⅠand XbaⅠsimultaneously, and were extracted and ligated by T4 ligase. The recombinant constructs pVAX1-hα-S1-140 were transformed into competent E. coli TOP 10 cells and the positive clones were screened and selected using PCR analysis, restriction digestion analysis, and DNA sequencing. The constructs were then tested for protein expression in COS-7 cells by RT-PCR and Western blotting. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Identification of an eukaryotic expression vector containing the human α-syn gene, pVAX1-hα-S1-140, and detection of the expression in mammalian cell COS-7. RESULTS: The pVAX1 vector was successfully cloned with humanα-syn in the correct orientation and in-frame. The DNA vaccine constructs pVAX1-hα-S1-140 with the humanα-syn gene were shown to be expressed in COS-7 cells. Humanα-syn was successfully expressed in the mammalian cell line and was detected by RT-PCR and western blotting. 11A fast face detection architecture for auto-focus in smart-phones and digital cameras显示文摘Auto-focus is very important for capturing sharp human face centered images in digital and smart phone cameras. With the development of image sensor technology, these cameras support more and more highresolution images to be processed. Currently it is difficult to support fast auto-focus at low power consumption on high-resolution images. This work proposes an efficient architecture for an Ada Boost-based face-priority auto-focus. The architecture supports block-based integral image computation to improve the processing speed on high-resolution images; meanwhile, it is reconfigurable so that it enables the sub-window adaptive cascade classification, which greatly improves the processing speed and reduces power consumption. Experimental results show that 96% detection rate in average and 58 fps(frame per second) detection speed are achieved for the1080p(1920×1080) images. 14Longitudinal single-cell RNA-seq of hESCs-derived retinal organoids显示文摘Human retina development involves multiple well-studied signaling pathways that promote the genesis of a wide arrange of different cell types in a complex architectural structure.Human embryonic stem cells(hESCs)-derived retinal organoids could recapitulate the human retinal development.We performed single-cell RNA-seq of retinal organoids from 5 time points(D36,D66,D96,D126,D186)and identified 9 distinct populations of cells.In addition,we analyzed the molecular characteristics of each main population and followed them from genesis to maturity by pseudotime analysis and characterized the cell-cell interactions between different cell types.Interestingly,we identified insulin receptor(INSR)as a specifically expressed receptor involved in the genesis of photoreceptors,and pleiothropin(PTN)-protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type Z1(PTPRZ1)as a mediator of a previously unknown interaction between Müller and retinal progenitor cells.Taken together,these findings provide a rich transcriptome-based lineage map for studying human retinal development and modeling developmental disorders in retinal organoids.Shaojun Wang Sergio Poli Xiaoliang Liang Guang-Hua Peng 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,10:1

16Rapid sterilisation and diabetic cutaneous regeneration using cascade bio-heterojunctions through glucose oxidase-primed therapy显示文摘The cutaneous wound in diabetic patients frequently encounters intractable pathogenic infections due to the hyperglycemia micromilieu which is conducive to bacterial growth and multiplication.Despite the extensive clinical use of antibiotics to treat bacterial infections,the emergence of drug-resistant and super pathogens as well as the potential side effects of antibiotics have elicited alarming challenges to public health.To address this daunting concern,we devise and develop a photo-activated cascade bio-heterojunctions(C-bio-HJs)for rapid sterilization and diabetic cutaneous regeneration.In the designed C-bio-HJs,photo-generated electron-hole pairs of graphite-phase carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))are effectively separated with the marriage of molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2)),which achieves the augmented photodynamic antibacterial effect.Moreover,glucose oxidase(GOx)tethered on the bio-HJs catalyzes glucose into hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))in diabetic wounds for starvation therapy.Furthermore,Mo4+enables the catalysis of H_(2)O_(2)into a highly effective hydroxyl radical(⋅OH)for chemodynamic-photothermal combined antibacterial therapy.Both in vitro and in vivo results authenticate the cascading antibacterial properties and skin regeneration-promoting effects of the C-bio-HJs,which provide a facile strategy to combat diabetic wound healing through the synergistic GOx-primed dynamic therapies.Yi Deng Xumei Ouyang Jiyu Sun Xiuyuan Shi Yunfei Li Yau Kei Chan Weizhong Yang Shaojun Peng 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,7:1
17Implementation of multi-standard video decoder on a heterogeneous coarse-grained reconfigurable processor显示文摘This paper proposes a task-based hybrid parallel and hybrid pipeline(THPHP)scheme to implement multi-standard video algorithms,including MPEG-2,H.264,and audio video coding standard(AVS),on a heterogeneous coarse-grained reconfigurable processor,called the reconfigurable multimedia system(REMUS).The proposed schemes greatly improve decoding performance and satisfy the real-time requirements of various high-definition(HD)video decoding standards.In THPHP,we propose both a task-based hybrid parallel scheme,in which macro-block(MB)-level,block-level,and sub-block-level decoding tasks are parallelized to improve data processing throughput,and a hybrid pipeline scheme,in which slice-level,MB-level,block-level and sub-block-level computations are pipelined to improve efficiency.Computation-intensive tasks,such as motion compensation,intra prediction,inverse discrete cosine transform,reconstruction,and deblocking filter,are implemented on two reconfigurable processing units,which are the core computing engines of REMUS.Thanks to the proposed schemes,the implementations can achieve H.264 high profile(HP)1920×1080@30 fps streams,AVS Jizhun profile(JP)1920×1080@39 fps streams,and MPEG-2 main profile(MP)1920×1080@41 fps streams when working at 200 MHz frequency.Compared with XPP-III(a commercial reconfigurable processor),when implementing H.264 HD decoding,the performance and energy efficiency on REMUS are improved by1.81×and 14.3×,respectively.LIU LeiBo CHEN YingJie WANG Dong YIN ShouYi WANG Xing WANG Long LEI Hao CAO Peng WEI ShaoJun 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,8:1

19Fully Pipelined Soft Vector Processor as a CPU Accelerator显示文摘FPGA based soft vector processing accelerators are used frequently to perform highly parallel data processing tasks. Since they are not able to implement complex control manipulations using software, most FPGA systems now incorporate either a soft processor or hard processor. A FPGA based AXI bus compatible vector accelerator architecture is proposed which utilises fully pipelined and heterogeneous ALU for performance, and microcoding is employed for reusability. 20Ar-plasma enhanced copper-nickel alloy catalysis for ammonia synthesis显示文摘Ammonia(NH_(3))synthesis via electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction generally suffers from low NH_(3)yield and faradaic efficiency.Compared with activating stable,low-solubility N_(2),the electrochemical conversion of nitrates to ammonia provides a more reasonable route for NH_(3)production.Herein,we introduce Ar-plasma to enhance the interaction between copper-nickel alloys and carbon substrate to improve the performance of NH_(3)production.The NH_(3)faradaic efficiency from nitrate is nearly 100%and the yield rate is over 6000μgNH_(3)cm^(−2)h^(−1).DFT(density functional theory)calculation reveals the high performance of Cu_(50)Ni_(50)originates from the lower energy barrier on the reaction path and the closer position to the Fermi level of the d-band center.This work offers a promising strategy for plasma-modified electrocatalyst to promote ammonia synthesis via nitrate reduction.Zhou Yimeng Lv Jiabao Peng Yaqi Lin Xiaoqing Lv Xingjie Ye Qiulin Liu Shaojun Wu Angjian Li Xiaodong 2022Waste Disposal and Sustainable Energy2022,4,2:0
