| 2 | Effects of spatial distribution of soil parameters on soil moisture retrieval from passive microwave remote sensing显示文摘In this paper,we studied the effect of spatial distribution of soil parameters on passive soil moisture retrieval at pixel scale.First,we evaluated the forward microwave emission model and soil moisture retrieval algorithm accuracy through the observa-tion of field experiments.Then,we used soil parameters in different spatial distribution patterns,including random,normal,and uniform distribution,to determine the different levels of heterogeneity on soil moisture retrieval,in order to seek the rela-tionship between heterogeneity and soil moisture retrieval error.Finally,we conducted a controlled heterogeneity effect ex-periment measurements using a Truck-mounted Multi-frequency Radiometer(TMMR) to validate our simulation results.This work has proved that the soil moisture retrieval algorithm had a high accuracy(RMSE=0.049 cm3 cm 3) and can satisfy the need of this research.The simulation brightness temperatures match well with observations,with RMSE=9.89 K.At passive microwave remote sensing pixel scale,soil parameters with different spatial distribution patterns could have different levels of error on soil moisture estimation.Overall,we found that soil moisture with a random distribution in a satellite pixel scale can cause the largest error,with a normal distribution being the second,and a uniform distribution the least due to the smallest het-erogeneity. | ZHANG Tao ZHANG LiXin JIANG LingMei ZHAO ShaoJie ZHAO TianJie LI YunQing | 2012 | Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,8: | 5 |
| 3 | Assessment and analysis of microwave emissivity and transmissivity of a deciduous forest towards the estimate of vegetation biomass显示文摘Forests play an important role in the global carbon cycle and have a potential impact on global climatic change.Monitoring forest biomass is of considerable importance in understanding the hydrological cycle.Because of the problem of dense forest cover,no reliable method with which to retrieve soil moisture in forest areas from the microwave emission signature has been established.All of these issues relate to the microwave emissivity and transmissivity characteristics of a forest.The microwave emission contribution received by a sensor above a forest canopy comes from both the soil surface and the vegetation layer.To analyze the relationship of forest biomass and forest emission and transmissivity,a high-order emission model,the matrix-doubling model,which consists of both soil and vegetation models,was developed and then validated for a young deciduous forest stand in a field experiment.To simulate the emissivity and transmissivity of a deciduous forest in the L and X bands using the matrix-doubling model,the parameters of components of deciduous trees when the leaf area index varies from 1 to10 were generated by an L-system and a forest growth model.The emissivity and transmissivity of a forest and the relationships of these parameters to forest biomass are presented and analyzed in this paper.Emissivity in the L band when the leaf area index is less than 6 and at viewing angles less than 40°,and transmissivity in the L band are the most sensitive parameters in deciduous forest biomass estimation. | ZHANG ZhongJun YU XianChuan ZHAO ShaoJie CHAI LinNa | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,3: | 2 |

| 6 | Cross-Layer Framework for Fine-Grained Channel Access in Next Generation High-Density Wi Fi Networks显示文摘Densely deployed Wi Fi networks will play a crucial role in providing the capacity for next generation mobile internet. However, due to increasing interference, overlapped channels in Wi Fi networks and throughput efficiency degradation, densely deployed Wi Fi networks is not a guarantee to obtain higher throughput. An emergent challenge is how to effi ciently utilize scarce spectrum resources, by matching physical layer resources to traffi c demand. In this aspect, access control allocation strategies play a pivotal role but remain too coarse-grained. As a solution, this research proposes a flexible framework for fine-grained channel width adaptation and multi-channel access in Wi Fi networks. This approach, named SFCA(Subcarrier Fine-grained Channel Access), adopts DOFDM(Discontinuous Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) at the PHY layer. It allocates the frequency resource with a subcarrier granularity, which facilitates the channel width adaptation for multi-channel access and thus brings more fl exibility and higher frequency efficiency. The MAC layer uses a frequencytime domain backoff scheme, which combines the popular time-domain BEB scheme with a frequency-domain backoff to decrease access collision, resulting in higher access probability for the contending nodes. | 7 | Luminescence,Concentration Quenching and Thermal Stability of White Emitting Phosphor Ba_2Ca(BO_3)_2:Dy^(3+)显示文摘A white emitting phosphor Ba2Ca(BO3)2:Dy3+ was synthesized via a high temperature solid state reaction at 1000℃ for 5 h. The luminescence, mole fraction quenching and thermal stability of Ba2Ca(BO3)2:Dy3+ were investigated. According to the phase composition analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction, there is no crystalline phase except Ba2Ca(BO3)2 in the sample. Ba2Ca(BO3)2:Dy3+ can produce white emission under 348 nm excitation. The emission intensities of Ba2Ca(BO3)2:Dy3+ are affected by Dy3+ concentration. The concentration quenching effect was analyzed, and the concentration quenching mechanism was verified as dipole-dipole interaction. The critical distance(R c) obtained based on the crystal structure data is 2.911 nm. At 150℃, the emission intensity of Ba2Ca(BO3)2:Dy3+ is 68.0% of the initial value at room temperature. The activation energy for the thermal quenching calculated is 0.202 e V. | 9 | Acoustic Goos-H?nchen effect显示文摘We report two models of the lateral displacement of acoustic-wave scattering on a fluid-solid interface that reveal an acoustic analog of the Goos-H?nchen effect in optics. This acoustic analog is called the acoustic Goos-H?nchen effect. Using newly proposed models, we made numerical calculations for the system of a water-Perspex interface. Specifically, in the post-critical-angle region,we observed a lateral displacement(and transition time) of the reflected P-wave with respect to the incident P-wave. The first arrival of the acoustic signal from the interface is found to be a reflected P-wave rather than the sliding-refraction P-wave usually described in traditional acoustic-logging sliding P-wave theory. The crystal structure of compound 1 was determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography, and structural analysis revealed that it belonged to the monoclinic system with P21/c space group. In addition, the thermal behavior of the three compounds was studied by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetry techniques. The thermal decomposition peak temperatures of the compounds were 574.89, 545.60, and 606.72 K, indicating that the three ion salts exhibited good thermal stability. Tlie kinetic mechanism equations of the main decomposition process and the entropy of activation(△S^≠), enthalpy of activation(△H^≠), and Gibbs free energy of activation(△G^≠) of the three compounds were also obtained. Moreover, the thermal safety of the compounds was evaluated by the values of the self^accelerated decomposition temperature(Tsadt)5 thermal ignition temperature(TTIT), and critical temperature of thermal explosion(7b). | 14 | Development of a UPLC–MS/MS method for determination of pimavanserin tartrate in rat plasma: Application to a pharmacokinetic study显示文摘A simple, rapid and sensitive method based on an ultra-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC–MS/MS) has been developed and validated for the determination of pimavanserin in rat plasma. The analyte was extracted by protein precipitation with methanol and separated on an ACQUITY BEH C_(18) column(100 mm × 2.1 mm, 1.7 μm; Waters, USA), with an isocratic elution of acetonitrile-water containing 10 mM ammonium acetate(70:30, v/v), at a flow rate of 0.2 m L/min for 2.5 min. The analyte and clarithromycin(the internal standard) were detected and quantified in positive ion mode using multiple reaction monitoring transitions at m/z 428.2 → 223.0 for pimavanserin and m/z 748.5 → 589.5 for clarithromycin. Relative coefficient(r) for the calibration curve was more than 0.9980. The intra-day and inter-day precisions(relative standard deviation, RSD%) were less than 13.3% and 10.5%, respectively, and the accuracy(relative error, RE%) was within ± 11.5%. [Methods]Fifty-four samples of root-knot nematode host on tobacco crops were collected from Kunming,Qujing and Yuxi cities in Yunnan from August to October in 2015. The species of root-knot nematodes were identified by observing perineal patterns and molecular biological testing( PCR of ribosomal DNA of ITS region and sequence characterized amplified region,SCAR). [Results] There were 24 samples belonging to Meloidogyne arenaria,accounting for 44. 44%; seven M. incognita samples,accounting for 12. 96%; one M. javanica sample,accounting for 1. 85%. Eleven samples were compound populations of M. javanica and M. arenaria,accounting for 20. 37%. Five were compound populations of M. incognita and M. arenaria,accounting for 9. 26%. Three were compound populations of M. incognita and M. javanica,accounting for 5. 56%. Three belonged to compound population of M. incognita,M. javanica and M. arenaria,accounting for 5. 56%. | 20 | Effects of external dynamic disturbances and structural plane on rock fracturing around deep underground cavern显示文摘The occurrence of disasters in deep mining engineering has been confirmed to be closely related to the external dynamic disturbances and geological discontinuities.Thus,a combined finite-element method was employed to simulate the failure process of an underground cavern,which provided insights into the failure mechanism of deep hard rock affected by factors such as the dynamic stress-wave amplitudes,disturbance direction,and dip angles of the structural plane.The crack-propagation process,stress-field distribution,displacement,velocity of failed rock,and failure zone around the circular cavern were analyzed to identify the dynamic response and failure properties of the underground structures.The simulation results indicate that the dynamic disturbance direction had less influence on the dynamic response for the constant in situ stress state,while the failure intensity and damage range around the cavern always exhibited a monotonically increasing trend with an increase in the dynamic load.The crack distribution around the circular cavern exhibited an asymmetric pattern,possibly owing to the stress-wave reflection behavior and attenuation effect along the propagation route.Geological discontinuities significantly affected the stability of nearby caverns subjected to dynamic disturbances,during which the failure intensity exhibited the pattern of an initial increase followed by a decrease with an increase in the dip angle of the structural plane.Additionally,the dynamic disturbance direction led to variations in the crack distribution for specific structural planes and stress states.These results indicate that the failure behavior should be the integrated response of the excavation unloading effect,geological conditions,and external dynamic disturbances. | Fan Feng Shaojie Chen Xingdong Zhao Diyuan Li Xianlai Wang Jiqiang Cui | 2022 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2022,9,1: | 0 |
