1Chitosan based bioactive materials in tissue engineering applications-A review显示文摘In recent years,there have been increasingly rapid advances of using bioactive materials in tissue engineering applications.Bioactive materials constitute many different structures based upon ceramic,metallic or polymeric materials,and can elicit specific tissue responses.However,most of them are relatively brittle,stiff,and difficult to form into complex shapes.Hence,there has been a growing demand for preparing materials with tailored physical,biological,and mechanical properties,as well as predictable degradation behavior.Chitosan-based materials have been shown to be ideal bioactive materials due to their outstanding properties such as formability into different structures,and fabricability with a wide range of bioactive materials,in addition to their biocompatibility and biodegradability.This review highlights scientific findings concerning the use of innovative chitosan-based bioactive materials in the fields of tissue engineering,with an outlook into their future applications.It also covers latest developments in terms of constituents,fabrication technologies,structural,and bioactive properties of these materials that may represent an effective solution for tissue engineering materials,making them a realistic clinical alternative in the near future.Md.Minhajul Islam Md.Shahruzzaman Shanta Biswas Md.Nurus Sakib Taslim Ur Rashid 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,1:15
2Impact of some chlorinated pesticides on the haematology of the fish Cyprinus carpio and Puntius ticto显示文摘The effects of pesticides on blood characteristics and histological changes in erythrocytes of the fish species Cyprinus carpio and Puntius ticto were studied. The fishes were exposed to sub lethal concentrations of different chlorinated pesticides namely aldrin, dieldrin, DDT, BHC and chlordane for 10, 20 and 30 d in continuous flow-through test. The LC 50 values were calculated based on acute toxicity tests and the sublethal doses were arrived at for chronic bioassay studies. Results showed an increase in haemoglobin content of both Cyprinus carpio and Puntius ticto in case of aldrin and dieldrin. Haemoglobin content reduced from an initial 13 g/100 ml to 8.07 and 10.15 g/100 ml in case of Cyprinus at the end of ten days exposure to aldrin and dieldrin respectively, and gradually increased to 8.7 g/100 ml and 10.15 g/100 ml after 20 d of exposure. The haemoglobin content after 30 d exposure to aldrin and dieldrin was 10.15 g/100 ml and 11.6 g/100 ml respectively. In case of Puntius ticto, the haemoglobin content in control fishes recorded was 12.8 g/100 ml while in case of fish exposed to aldrin, the haemoglobin content reduced initially on ten days exposure to 10.15 g/100 ml and increased to 11.6 g/100 ml and 13.0 g/100 ml during twenty days and thirty days exposure respectively. This trend was also observed with dieldrin in both the fishes studied. Red blood cells were also counted in case of all the pesticides and exposure periods with respect to Cyprinus carpio and Puntius ticto. Irrespective of the species and pesticide, the RBC counts uniformly showed decreasing trend with the increase in exposure period, while packed cell volume, PCV(%) showed increasing trend with respect to increase in exposure period in case of aldrin and dieldrin in both the fishes. But DDT, BHC and chlordane showed decreasing trend in PCV(%) values with increasing periods of exposure.Shanta Satyanarayan Rajesh S. Bejankiwar P.R. 3尼泊尔中部山区麦拉姆齐流域农户生计资本与生计策略关系研究显示文摘生计资本与生计策略关系的研究是理解和发展农村可持续生计最重要的途径。本文以尼泊尔中部山区麦拉姆齐流域为例,采用PRA法进行实地调研,定量分析了该流域农户的生计资本状况,生计资本对生计策略的影响及不同生计策略对生计资本因子的敏感性特征。研究表明:(1)农户生计资本指数低,各类资本差异明显,且资本的转化能力弱。物质资本得分最高,其次为人力资本、社会资本、金融资本,自然资本最低。(2)以非农为主型生计策略农户的资本总指数最高,生计策略也相对最优;非农型资本总指数次之,但生计风险相对较高;农为主型资本总指数低于前二者,但生计脆弱性相对较低;纯农型资本总指数最低,生计策略组合单一,生计风险相对最高。(3)生计资本及其组合差异是影响农户生计策略选择的重要原因,改善生计资本的配置能够推动农户生计策略的调整和优化。不同生计策略对资本因子的敏感性亦有所差异,提高人力资本和金融资本的投入,对于尼泊尔山区农户积极参与和发展非农生计活动,合理调整和优化生计策略,减小生计风险具有重要意义。苏艺 邓伟 张继飞 Hriday Lal Koirala Paudel Khatiwada Shanta 2016山地学报2016,34,5:7
4Simultaneous determination of ezetimibe and simvastatin in rat plasma by stable-isotope dilution LC-ESI-MS/MS and its application to a pharmacokinetic study显示文摘A simple,sensitive and specilic liquid ehromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method was developed for simultaneous quantification of ezetimibe and simvastatin in rat plasma.The deuterium isotopes:ezetimibe d_4 and simvastatin d_6 were used as internal standards for ezetimibe and simvastatin,respectively.MS/MS detection involved a switch of electron spray ionization mode from negative to positive at retention time 3.01 min.Samples were extracted from plasma by liquid-liquid extraction using tertiary butyl methyl ether.Chromatographic separation was achieved with Agilent Eclipse XBD-C_(18) column using mobile phase that consisted of a mixture of ammonium acetate(pH4.5:10 mM)-acetonilrile(25:75 v/v).The method was linear and validated over the concentration range of 0.2-40.0 ng/mL for simvastatin and 0.05-15.0 ng/mL for ezetimibe.The transitions selected were mlz 408.3→271.1 and mlz 4I2.0→ 275.10 for ezetimibe and ezetimibe d_4.and mlz 419.30→ 285.20 and mlz 425.40 →199.20 for simvastatin and simvastatin d_6.Intra- and inter-batch precisions for ezetimibe were 1.6-14.8%and 2.1-13.4%;and for simvastatin 0.94-9.56%and0.79-12%.respectively.The proposed method was sensitive,selective,precise and accurate for the quantification of ezetimibe and simvastatin simultaneously in rat plasma.The method was successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic study by oral co-administration of ezetimibe and simvastatin in SD rats.Sireesha R.Karanam Prakash Katakam Babu R.Chandu Nagiat T.Hwisa Shanta K.Adiki 2014Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2014,4,4:4
5Preparation of Chitin-PLA laminated composite for implantable application显示文摘The present study explores the possibilities of using locally available inexpensive waste prawn shell derived chitin reinforced and bioabsorbable polylactic acid(PLA)laminated composites to develop new materials with excellent mechanical and thermal properties for implantable application such as in bone or dental implant.Chitin at different concentration(1e20%of PLA)reinforced PLA films(CTP)were fabricated by solvent casting process and laminated chitin-PLA composites(LCTP)were prepared by laminating PLA film(obtained by hot press method)with CTP also by hot press method at 160C.The effect of variation of chitin concentration on the resulting laminated composite's behavior was investigated.The detailed physico-mechanical,surface morphology and thermal were assessed with different characterization technique such as FT-IR,XRD,SEM and TGA.The FTIR spectra showed the characteristic peaks for chitin and PLA in the composites.SEM images showed an excellent dispersion of chitin in the films and composites.Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)showed that the complete degradation of chitin,PLA film,5%chitin reinforced PLA film(CTP2)and LCTP are 98%,95%,87%and 98%respectively at temperature of 500C.The tensile strength of the LCTP was found 25.09 MPa which is significantly higher than pure PLA film(18.55 MPa)and CTP2 film(8.83 MPa).After lamination of pure PLA and CTP2 film,the composite(LCTP)yielded 0.265e1.061%water absorption from 30 min to 24 h immerse in water that is much lower than PLA and CTP.The increased mechanical properties of the laminated films with the increase of chitin content indicated good dispersion of chitin into PLA and strong interfacial actions between the polymer and chitin.The improvement of mechanical properties and the results of antimicrobial and cytotoxicity of the composites also evaluated and revealed the composite would be a suitable candidate for implant application in biomedical sector.Romana Nasrin Shanta Biswas Taslim Ur Rashid Sanjida Afrin Rumana Akhter Jahan Papia Haque Mohammed Mizanur Rahman 2017Bioactive Materials2017,2,4:4
6A New Species of the Genus Tylototriton(Amphibia: Urodela: Salamandridae) from Eastern Himalaya显示文摘A new species of the genus Tylototriton is described from eastern Himalaya based on molecular and morphological comparisons. The new species is diagnosable from the closely-related species by having light brown colouration in dorsal region in life, flat and blunt snout, greatly separated dorsolateral bony ridges on head and straightthick tailfin. 17组织染色法观察灰盖鬼伞子实体发育过程(英文)显示文摘灰盖鬼伞(Coprinopsis cinerea)是一种嗜粪模式食用菌,可在实验室条件下快速生长并结实。子实体发育从黑暗环境下形成初级菌丝结开始,随后在光照刺激下初级菌丝结紧密聚集形成二级菌丝结,然后二级菌丝结继续分化出菌柄和菌盖。在子实体形成培养条件下,前5天(P1-P5)为原基发育期,第6天担子及担孢子中发生核融合及减数分裂,伴随菌柄伸长和菌盖形成,子实体发育成熟。成熟的子实体在第7天自溶,含有孢子的液滴落地并释放出孢子。本文运用不同的组织染色技术观察原基组织切片,从而发现灰盖鬼伞子实体发育过程中不同的组织和细胞类型。前担子比其他组织更容易被乳酚蓝、迈尔士苏木精明矾、孔雀绿、曙红染色。菌盖皮最容易被孔雀绿和乳酚蓝染色。过碘酸雪夫氏染色(periodic acid Schiff,PAS)的菌盖皮和子实基层颜色比其他组织深,其中菌盖皮颜色很深,子实基层颜色稍深。所有切片还尝试了各种可能组合的双染。在PAS和苏木精明矾先后双染色下,子实基层和前胆子可以获得最佳区分。SUBBA Shanta WINKLER Marco KüES Ursula 2019食用菌学报2019,26,4:1
18In vitro–in vivo studies of the quantitative effect of calcium,multivitamins and milk on single dose ciprofloxacin bioavailability显示文摘Ciprofloxacin, commonly used in India as an anti-microbial for prolonged use in chronic and non-specific indications, may affect the bioavailability of the drug. The drug prescribed is commonly taken with multivitamins, calcium and milk. A simple and reliable analytical methodology obtaining a correlation with in vivo urinary excretion studies using UV and HPLC and in vitro dissolution studies(IVIVC) has shown a significant increase in elimination rate of ciprofloxacin co-administered with multivitamins,calcium and milk.
