| 1 | 搅拌铸造SiC颗粒增强铝基复合材料的组织与磨损性能(英文)显示文摘研究SiC颗粒增强体(粒径为1、5、20和50μm;体积分数为5%、10%和15%)对Al基复合材料组织和磨损性能的影响。采用搅拌铸造工艺制备复合材料,采用盘销式磨损试验测试Al基体和复合材料在不同载荷下的干滑动摩擦磨损性能。考察冷轧压下量对复合材料干滑动磨损性能的影响。对磨损表面和磨屑进行硬度测试和SEM观察。结果表明,搅拌铸造工艺参数包括浇注温度、搅拌速度、搅拌时间、增强体颗粒预热温度等影响所制备材料的质量。为使材料具有较好的性能,应将复合材料中的孔隙度降至最小,尽量避免增强体颗粒与基体之间的化学反应。 | Ali MAZAHERY Mohsen Ostad SHABANI | 2013 | Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2013,23,7: | 15 |
| 2 | Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulation of effect of baffles on separation in mixer settler显示文摘The main ideas in the development of the solvent extraction mixer settler focused on achieving clean phase separation,minimizing the loss of the reagents and decreasing the surface area of the settlers.The role of baffles in a mechanically agitated vessel is to ensure even distribution,reduce settler turbulence,promote the stability of power drawn by the impeller and to prevent swirling and vortexing of liquid,thus,greatly improving the mixing of liquid.The insertion of the appropriate number of baffles clearly improves the extent of liquid mixing.However,excessive baffling would interrupt liquid mixing and lengthen the mixing time.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) provides a tool for determining detailed information on fluid flow(hydrodynamics) which is necessary for modeling subprocesses in mixer settler.A total of 54 final CFD runs were carried out representing different combinations of variables like number of baffles,density and impeller speed.CFD data shows that amount of separation increases with increasing baffles number and decreasing impeller speed. | Mohsen Ostad Shabani Ali Mazahery Mehdi Alizadeh Ali Asghar Tofigh Mohammad Reza Rahimipour Mansour Razavi Alireza Kolahi | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,5: | 12 |

| 5 | Effects of intermediate Ni layer on mechanical properties of Al–Cu layered composites fabricated through cold roll bonding显示文摘Layered composites have attracted considerable interest in the recent literature on metal composites. Their mechanical properties depend on the quality of the bonding provided by the intermediate layers. In this study, we analyzed the mechanical properties and bond strengths provided by the nickel layer with respect to its thickness and nature(either powder or coating). The results suggest that bond strength decreases with an increase in the content of nickel powder. At 0.3 vol% of nickel coating, we found the nature of nickel to be less efficient in terms of bond strength. A different picture arose when the content of nickel was increased and the bond strength increased in nickel coated samples. | 6 | Investigation on leaching of malachite by citric acid显示文摘Leaching of an oxidized copper ore containing malachite, as a new approach, was investigated by an organic reagent, citric acid. Sulfuric acid is the most common reagent in the leaching of oxide copper ores, but it has several side effects such as severe adverse impact on the environment. In this investigation, the effects of particle size, acid concentration, leaching time, solid/liquid ratio, temperature, and stirring speed were optimized. According to the experimental results, malachite leaching by citric acid was technically feasible. Optimum leaching conditions were found as follows: the range of particle size, 105-150 μm; acid concentration, 0.2 M; leaching time, 30 min; solid/liquid ratio, 1:20 g/mL; temperature, 40°C; and stirring speed, 200 r/min. | 8 | Effect of Ablation Casting on Microstructure and Casting Properties of A356 Aluminium Casting Alloy显示文摘Recently the Ablation Casting Technology was invented as a new casting process to improve foundry products quality. In this study, the effects of processing variables on the porosity content, microstructure and feedability of A356 casting alloy were investigated. Secondary dendrite arm spacing (SDAS) and eutectic silicon morphologies were studied to evaluate the influence of Ablation Casting on the microstructure. Casting density was measured in order to identify porosity content and feedability of ablated and nonablated specimens. In addition, solidification behavior of the samples was investigated by using thermal analysis technique. The cooling curves and the first derivative curves were plotted and compared with each other. Results showed the ablation process could increase solidification rate significantly. In addition, the microstructural evidences revealed that Ablation Casting process results in more fine and homogeneous structure compared to the nonablated casting. The feedability improved, SDAS reduced to 35% and porosity content decreased to 3.84 vol.% by implementing this process. | 10 | Application of the Extrusion to Increase the Binding between the Ceramic Particles and the Metal Matrix:Enhancement of Mechanical and Tribological Properties显示文摘Aluminum alloyed with magnesium and silicon has been used as the matrix material owing to its excellent mechanical properties coupled with good formability and its wide applications in industrial sector.An extrusion process was developed to consolidate Al 6061—SiCp composites from mixed powders.The results show that the composites were fully densified,with no sign of pores or oxide layers observable in the optical microscope.The SiC particles were distributed uniformly in the matrix.As compared with 6061 alloys,the composites demonstrated a smaller elongation,but exhibited a higher Young's modulus and a larger work hardening capacity.These composites possessed much higher elongation at the same strength level.The present study also addressed the dry wear behavior of the composites at different sliding speeds and applied loads.Values of the friction coefficient of the matrix alloy and composite materials were in expected range for light metals in dry sliding conditions.All of these improvements were attributed to the merits,including full densification of the bulk,uniform dispersion of the SiC particles in the matrix,and strong binding between the SiC particles and the matrix resulting from the extrusion. | Ali Mazahery Mohsen Ostad Shabani | 2013 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,5: | 3 |

| 14 | Application of a characterized difference-frequency laser source to carbon monoxide trace detection显示文摘A tunable continuous wave(cw) mid-infrared(MIR) laser based on difference-frequency generation(DFG) in a 1.5-cm long AgGaS2 nonlinear crystal for trace gas detection is reported.Two visible and near-infrared diode lasers were used as pump and signal sources.The MIR-DFG laser was tunable in a wavelength range of 4.75 μm-4.88 μm.The phase-matching(PM) condition was non-critically achieved by adjusting the temperature of the crystal for fixed pairs of input pump and signal wavelengths.The required PM temperatures of the generated MIR-DFG wavelengths have been calculated by using three sets of recent Sellmeier equations and the temperature-dispersion equations of AgGaS2 given by Willer U,et al.(Willer U,Blanke T and Schade W 2001 Appl.Opt.40 5439).Then the calculated PM temperatures are compared with the experimental values.The performance of the MIR-DFG laser is shown by the trace detection of the P(16) carbon monoxide(12C16O) absorption line in a laboratory-fabricated absorption cell.The enhanced sensitivity of about 0.6×10 4 was obtained through the long path absorption provided by consecutive reflections between coated cylindrical mirrors of a constructed cell. | Alireza Khorsandi Zahra Shabani Monireh Ranjbar S.
