| 3 | FEM-based modeling of microsphereenhanced interferometry显示文摘To improve the lateral resolution in microscopic imaging,microspheres are placed close to the object’s surface in order to support the imaging process by optical near-field information.Although microsphere-assisted measurements are part of various recent studies,no generally accepted explanation for the effect of microspheres exists.Photonic nanojets,enhancement of the numerical aperture,whispering-gallery modes and evanescent waves are usually named reasons in context with microspheres,though none of these effects is proven to be decisive for the resolution enhancement.We present a simulation model of the complete microscopic imaging process of microsphere-enhanced interference microscopy including a rigorous treatment of the light scattering process at the surface of the specimen.The model consideres objective lenses of high numerical aperture providing 3D conical illumination and imaging.The enhanced resolution and magnification by the microsphere is analyzed with respect to the numerical aperture of the objective lenses.Further,we give a criterion for the achievable resolution and demonstrate that a local enhancement of the numerical aperture is the most likely reason for the resolution enhancement. | Tobias Pahl Lucie Hüser Sebastian Hagemeier Peter Lehmann | 2022 | Light(Advanced Manufacturing)2022，3，4： | 0 |
| 4 | Effects of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFAS)on soil structure and function显示文摘Soils are impacted globally by several anthropogenic factors,including chemical pollutants.Among those,perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFAS)are of concern due to their high environmental persistence,and as they might affect soil structure and function.However,data on impacts of PFAS on soil structure and microbially-driven processes are currently lacking.This study explored the effects of perfluorooctanesulfonic acid(PFOS),perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA)and perfluorobutanesulfonic acid(PFBS)at environmental-relevant concentrations on soil health,using a 6-week microcosm experiment.PFAS(even at 0.5 ng g-1 for PFBS)significantly increased litter decomposition,associated with positive effects on-glucosidase activities.This effect increased with PFAS concentrations.Soil pH was significantly increased,likely as a direct consequence of increased litter decomposition affected by PFAS.Soil respiration was significantly inhibited by PFAS in week 3,while this effect was more variable in week 6.Water-stable aggregates were negatively affected by PFOS,possibly related to microbial shifts.PFAS affected soil bacterial and fungal abundance,but not microbial and certain enzyme activities.Our work highlights the potential effects of PFAS on soil health,and we argue that this substance class could be a factor of environmental change of potentially broad relevance in terrestrial ecosystem functioning. | Baile Xu Gaowen Yang Anika Lehmann Sebastian Riedel Matthias C.Rillig | 2023 | Soil Ecology Letters2023，5，1： | 0 |

| 7 | Case Studies on Acupuncture Principles in Headaches显示文摘Objective:This observational cohort pilot study aimed to evaluate the effects of the acupuncture methods,Jiu Cang Zhen(JCZ)and Huang Guan(HG),on changes in headache intensity in an inpatient,multimodal Zurzach Headache Programme(ZHP).Methods:Study participants consisted of patients diagnosed with chronic headache disorder(headache ds,30 days per month)or daily persistent headache.All patients received conventional therapies with active and passive approaches.The patient group was treated with JCZ and HG acupuncture methods,receiving a total of six to eight acupuncture sessions of 50 to 60 minutes each,during a 3–4-week multimodal ZHP at the RehaClinic Bad Zurzach.Pain intensity was quantified using a Numerical Rating Scale(NRS)before and after each acupuncture therapy session.Results:Ten patients were recruited,six women and four men,with a mean age of 41.7(standard deviation,[SD]=13.9).A reduction in headache intensity was reported by all patients in each of the sessions.The average NRS for pain was 4.21(SD=1.44)before acupuncture and 1.24(SD=0.93)after acupuncture(means first by number of sessions,then per n=10 patients).This resulted in a mean difference of 2.97(SD=1.04),corresponding to a standardized response mean of 2.85(95%confidence interval:2.11–3.60,one-tailed P<0.001),meaning there was a large effect.Conclusions:This pilot study shows that JCZ and HG are suitable acupuncture methods for reducing headache intensity in the treatment of headaches.A comparison with the conventional classical acupuncture methods from the acupuncture textbook for traditional Chinese medicine students in China,exploration with a larger patient group,and prolonged monitoring of pain behavior could be foci of follow-up investigations. | Saroj Kumar Pradhan Andreas Rudolf Gantenbein Yi-Ming Li Sebastian Frese Susanne Lehmann Felix Angst | 2021 | Chinese Medicine and Culture2021，4，2： | 0 |
