1Transcriptional activation and phosphorylation of OsCNGC9 confer enhanced chilling tolerance in rice显示文摘Low temperature is a major environmental factor that limits plant growth and productivity.Although transient elevation of cytoplasmic calcium has long been recognized as a critical signal for plant cold tolerance,the calcium channels responsible for this process have remained largely elusive.Here we report that OsCNGC9,a cyclic nucleotide-gated channel,positively regulates chilling tolerance by mediating cytoplasmic calcium elevation in rice(Oryza sativa).We showed that the loss-of-function mutant of OsCNGC9 is defective in cold-induced calcium influx and more sensitive to prolonged cold treatment,whereas OsCNGC9 overexpression confers enhanced cold tolerance.Mechanistically,we demonstrated that in response to chilling stress,OsSAPK8,a homolog of Arabidopsis thaliana OST1,phosphorylates and activates OsCNGC9 to trigger Ca2+influx.Moreover,we found that the transcription of OsCNGC9 is activated by a rice dehydration-responsive element-binding transcription factor,OsDREB1A.Taken together,our results suggest that OsCNGC9 enhances chilling tolerance in rice through regulating cold-induced calcium influx and cytoplasmic calcium elevation.Jiachang Wang Yulong Ren Xi Liu Sheng Luo Xiao Zhang Xin Liu Qibing Lin Shanshan Zhu Hua Wan Yang Yang Yu Zhang Bin Lei Chunlei Zhou Tian Pan Yongfei Wang Mingming Wu Ruonan jing Yang Xu Meng Han Fuqing Wu Cailin Lei Xiuping Guo Zhijun Cheng Xiaoming Zheng Yihua Wang Zhigang Zhao Ling Jiang Xin Zhang Yong-Fei Wang Haiyang Wang Jianmin Wan 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,2:10
2Novel PLGGE graft polymeric micelles for doxorubicin delivery显示文摘Novel poly{(lactic acid)-co-[(glycolic acid)-alt-(L-glutamic acid)]}-g-monomethyl poly(ethylene glycol) (PLGGE) micelles were prepared and used as carriers for anti-tumor drug delivery. Three PEGylated PLGG copolymers (PLGGE2000, PLGGE1100 and PLGGE500) were characterized by XRD, TG and DSC. The critical micelle concentrations (CMCs) of the amphiphilic copolymers were 1.04, 0.55 and 0.13 μg/mL, respectively. The TEM, AFM and DLS measurements revealed that the micelles were homogeneous spherical nanoparticles with the diameters ranged from 50 to 150 nm when THF was used as solvent in the preparation of the micelles. Interestingly, extended cylindrical micelles were obtained using CHCl 3 as solvent. The micelles could trap doxorubicin (DOX) in the core with the highest drug loading content up to 23.7%. The mean diameter of drug loaded micelles was much bigger than that of blank micelles. The in vitro drug release of the micelles was diffusion-controlled release within the first 36 h and initial burst release was not obvious. However, after 36 h, the release rate in pH 5.0 was faster than that in pH 7.4 due to the degradation. The PLGGE micelles were nontoxic to both NIH 3T3 fibroblasts and HepG2 cells. The in vitro cytotoxicity against HepG2 cells demonstrated that the drug loaded micelles exhibited high inhibition activity to cancer cells. CLSM observation of HepG2 cells showed that DOX released from the micelles could be delivered into cell cytoplasm and cell nuclei. 6A multi-module with a two-way feedback method for Ulva drift-diffusion显示文摘The outbreak of Ulva in the Yellow Sea has seriously affected marine ecology and economic activities.Therefore,effective prediction of the distribution of Ulva is of great significance for disaster prevention and reduction.However,the prediction method of Ulva is mainly based on numerical simulation.There are two problems with these methods.First is that the initial distribution of Ulva is simulated using independent pixel-level particles.Besides,the influence of Ulva growth and diffusion on the drift is not considered.Therefore,this paper proposes a multi-module with a two-way feedback method(MTF)to solve the above problems.The main contributions of our approach are summarized as follows.First,the initialization module,the generation and elimination module,and the drive module are composed in our way.Second,we proposed an initialization method using rectangle objects to simulate the Ulva distribution extracted from remote sensing images.Thirdly,the drift and diffusion mechanism of the Ulva is considered to realize the two-way feedback between the generation and elimination module and the drive module.The results of our experiments show that the MTF performs better than the traditional method in predicting the drift and diffusion of Ulva.The code is already publicly available at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asoqqwqw0vuffv60n5.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/UPCGIT/A-multi-module-with-a-two-way-feedback-method-for-Ulva-drift-diffusion.Hui Sheng Jianmeng Li Qimao Wang Bin Zou Lijian Shi Mingming Xu Shanwei Liu Jianhua Wan Zhe Zeng Yanlong Chen 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,12:0
7Bamboo Fiber Modified Asphalt Mixture Proportion Design and Road Performances Based on Response Surface Method显示文摘In order to comprehensively utilize the remaining bamboo residue of bamboo products,this paper presents a research on recycling the bamboo fibers from bamboo residue for improving the performance of the asphalt mixtures.First of all,the basic performance parameters of sinocalamus affinis fiber,phyllostachys pubescens fiber,green bamboo fiber were tested and analyzed,and the optimal content and length were put forward.Then,the mix ratio design of the bamboo fiber modified asphalt mixture was further designed through the response surface method,and was verified the rationality of the mix ratio.Finally,the mixture specimens were made according to the experimental design mix ratio,and the high temperature,low temperature performance and moisture susceptibility of the bamboo fiber modified mixtures asphalt were tested.The results showed that the high temperature performance,low temperature performance and moisture susceptibility of bamboo fiber modified asphalt mixtures were improved compared with the performance of SBS modified asphalt mixture.When the length of bamboo fiber is 7.25 mm and the content of 0.22%,the road performance of the asphalt mixture was optimal.Consequentially,the decomposition of bamboo residue into bamboo fiber and its application in asphalt pavement can improve the reuse of bamboo waste,with remarkable environmental benefits and great promotion value.李海滨 SUN Jianmei WANG Sirui ZHANG Mingming HU Yihong SHENG Yanping 2023Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2023,38,1:0

9Nitrate transporter NRT1.1 and anion channel SLAH3 form a functional unit to regulate nitrate-dependent alleviation of ammonium toxicity显示文摘Ammonium(NH_(4)^(+))and nitrate(NO_(3)^(-))are major inorganic nitrogen(N)sources for plants.When serving as the sole or dominant N supply,NH_(4)^(+)often causes root inhibition and shoot chlorosis in plants,known as ammonium toxicity.NO_(3)^(-) usually causes no toxicity and can mitigate ammonium toxicity even at low concentrations,referred to as nitrate-dependent alleviation of ammonium toxicity.Our previous studies indicated a NO_(3)^(-) efflux channel SLAH3 is involved in this process.However,whether additional components contribute to NO_(3)^(-)-mediated NH_(4)^(+)detoxification is unknown.Previously,mutations in NO_(3)^(-) transporter NRT1.1 were shown to cause enhanced resistance to high concentrations of NH_(4)^(+).Whereas,in this study,we found when the high-NH_(4)^(+) medium was supplemented with low concentrations of NO_(3)^(-),nrt1.1 mutant plants showed hyper-sensitive phenotype instead.Furthermore,mutation in NRT1.1 caused enhanced medium acidification under high-NH_(4)^(+)/Iow-NO_(3)^(-) condition,suggesting NRT1.1 regulates ammonium toxicity by facilitating H+uptake.Moreover,NRT1.1 was shown to interact with SLAH3 to form a transporter-channel complex.Interestingly,SLAH3 appeared to affect NO_(3)^(-) influx while NRT1.1 influenced NO_(3)^(-) efflux,suggesting NRT1.1 and SLAH3 regulate each other at protein and/or gene expression levels.Our study thus revealed NRT1.1 and SLAH3 form a functional unit to regulate nitrate-dependent alleviation of ammonium toxicity through regulating NO_(3)^(-) transport and balancing rhizosphere acidification.Chengbin Xiao Doudou Sun Beibei Liu Xianming Fang Pengcheng Li Yao Jiang Mingming He Jia Li Sheng Luan Kai He 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,4:0

11The key cyclic electron flow protein PGR5 associates with cytochrome b_(6)f, and its function is partially influenced by the LHCⅡ state transition显示文摘In plants and algae,PGR5-dependent cyclic electron flow(CEF)is an important regulator of acclimation to fluctuating environments,but how PGR5 participates in CEF is unclear.In this work,we analyzed two PGR5s in cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.)under different conditions and found that CsPGR5a played the dominant role in PGR5-dependent CEF.The results of yeast two-hybrid,biomolecular fluorescence complementation(BiFC),blue native PAGE,and coimmunoprecipitation(CoIP)assays showed that PGR5a interacted with PetC,Lhcb3,and PsaH.Furthermore,the intensity of the interactions was dynamic during state transitions,and the abundance of PGR5 attached to cyt b_(6)f decreased during the transition from state 1 to state 2,which revealed that the function of PGR5a is related to the state transition.We proposed that PGR5 is a small mobile protein that functions when attached to protein complexes.Xinyi Wu Jianqiang Wu Yu Wang Meiwen He Mingming He Weikang Liu Sheng Shu Jin Sun Shirong Guo 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:0
12Ulva prolifera subpixel mapping with multiple-feature decision fusion显示文摘The unavoidable nature of Ulva prolifera mixed pixel in low-resolution remote sensing images would result in rough boundary of U.prolifera patches,omission of tiny patches,and overestimation of coverage area.The decomposition of U.prolifera mixed pixel addresses the issue of coverage area overestimation,and the remaining problems can be alleviated by subpixel mapping(SPM).Due to the drift and dissipation of U.prolifera,a suitable SPM method is the single image-based unsupervised method.However,the method has difficulties in detail reconstruction,insufficient learning of spectral information,and SPM error introduced by abundance deviation.Therefore,we proposed a multiple-feature decision fusion SPM(MFDFSPM)method.It involves three branches to obtain the spatial,abundance,and spectral features of U.prolifera while considers multi-feature information using the fusion strategy.Experiments on the Geostationary Ocean Color Imager images in the Yellow Sea of China indicate that the MFDFSPM overperforms several typical U.prolifera SPM methods in higher accuracy and stronger robustness in both SPM and abundance calculation,which produced subpixel map with more detailed spatial information and less noise.Jianhua WAN Xianci WAN Lie SUN Mingming XU Hui SHENG Shanwei LIU Bin ZOU Qimao WANG 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,3:0

14Feasible fabrication of o-phenanthroline-based polymer adsorbent for selective capture of aqueous Ag(Ⅰ)显示文摘Devising a desirable adsorbent for efficiently selective capture of Ag(Ⅰ) from wastewater has attracted much attention but faced with huge challenges. Herein, a novel linear o-phenanthroline-based polymer L-PRL was prepared via chemical oxidative polymerization for the adsorption of Ag(Ⅰ). The maximum adsorption capacity for Ag(Ⅰ) by L-PRL is 325.8 mg/g at pH 0. In addition, L-PRL owes ascendant selectivity for Ag(Ⅰ) from aqueous solutions containing various interfering metal ions of Pb(Ⅱ), Co(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ), Cd(Ⅱ)and Fe(Ⅲ). Multiple characterizations of FT-IR and XPS uncover that the N groups on L-PRL act as adsorption sites to coordinate with Ag(Ⅰ). Density functional theory(DFT) calculations further evidence the mechanism that L-PRL is provided with the admirable adsorptivity and selectivity for Ag(Ⅰ). It is mainly attributed to the most stable complexes of L-PRL with Ag(Ⅰ), which possesses shortest Ag-N bond length compared with other heavy metal ions. Furthermore, 93.5% of initial adsorption capacity is reserved after four continuous regeneration cycles, indicating that L-PRL is equipped with superior recyclability and durability, and L-PRL is capable of removing Ag(Ⅰ) in low-concentration actual Ag(Ⅰ)-containing wastewater completely.
