1Peripheral CD4^(+) T cell signatures in predicting the responses to anti-PD-1/PD-L1 monotherapy for Chinese advanced non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Limited benefit population of immune checkpoint inhibitors makes it urgent to screen predictive biomarkers for stratifying the patients.Herein,we have investigated peripheral CD4^(+) T cell signatures in advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients receiving anti-PD-1/PD-L1 treatments.It was found that the percentages of IFN-γand IL-17A secreting naïve CD4^(+) T cells(Tn),and memory CD4^(+) T cells(Tm)expressing PD-1,PD-L1 and CTLA-4 were significantly higher in responder(R)than non-responder(NonR)NSCLC patients associated with a longer progression free survival(PFS).Logistic regression analysis revealed that the baseline IFN-γ-producing CD4^(+) Tn cells and PD-1^(+)CD4^(+) Tm cells were the most significant signatures with the area under curve(AUC)value reaching 0.849.This was further validated in another anti-PD-1 monotherapy cohort.Conversely,high percentage of CTLA-4^(+)CD4^(+) Tm cells was associated with a shorter PFS in patients receiving anti-PD-L1 monotherapy.Our study therefore elucidates the significance of functional CD4^(+) Tn and Tm subpopulations before the treatment in predicting the responses to anti-PD-1 treatment in Chinese NSCLC patients.The fact that there display distinct CD4^(+) T cell signatures in the prediction to anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 monotherapy from our study provides preliminary evidence on the feasibility of anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 combination therapy for advanced NSCLC patients.Liliang Xia Hui Wang Mingjiao Sun Yi Yang Chengcheng Yao Sheng He Huangqi Duan Weimin Xia Ruiming Sun Yaxian Yao Zhiwei Chen Qiong Zhao Hong Li Shun Lu Ying Wang 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,10:7

4Twinned substructure in lath martensite of water quenched Fe-0.2%C and Fe-0.8%C steels显示文摘In the present investigation,twinned substructures within lath martensite of two water quenched steels(0.2 wt.%C and 0.8 wt.%C)were studied.The lath martensite has typical hierarchical packet-block-lath with dislocation substructure.Besides,laths that are misoriented by<011>/70.5°or<111>/60° and bordered by{011}plane,namely twinned laths,are observed,of which the density increases and the scale decreases as more carbons were presented.Such twinned laths have body centered cubic(bcc)crystal structure,belonging to twinned variants following the classical Kurdjumov-Sachs(K-S)orientation relationship with respect to the parent austenite.Unlike bcc{112}<111>twins,twinned variants produce strong double diffraction and in turn the extra diffraction spots that are commonly observed in the martensite in steels with wide range of carbon contents.Haidong Sun Yuhui Wang Zuohua Wang Ning Liu Yan Peng Xiujuan Zhao Ruiming Ren Hongwang Zhang 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,14:1

6Preparation of nanometer yellow iron and its UV absorption capacity显示文摘The nanometer yellow iron oxide was prepared by oxidizing Fe(OH)2 with air, which was verified with XRD and TEM. The result shows that nanometer yellow iron oxide is spindle-shaped and well-distributed with a long axis of 150-200 nm and short axis of 40-50 nm. Ultraviolet (UV) transmittance of the iron oxide shows the great effect of concentration on both transparency and UV ab- sorption, and it has been proven that iron oxide with a concentration of 0.025wt% is preferred. The spectrum of XRD indicates that it is goethite. When the yellow iron is dispersed in sol, given that the wavelength of UV is less than 300 nm, its UV absorption capacity is superior to those of ZnO and TiO2. 7Effect of Jianpi Bushen formula for colon cancer patients who underwent adjuvant chemotherapy:Statistical analysis plan for a multicenter trial显示文摘Background:Patients with colon cancer who receive chemotherapy usually experience various gastrointestinal adverse reactions,including nausea,vomiting,and diarrhea,which make it challenging for them to adhere to treatment.As an effective traditional Chinese medicine,the Jianpi Bushen formula has been widely used to alleviate the side effects of chemotherapy.Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Jianpi Bushen formulae for patients who undergo chemotherapy.This statistical analysis plan(SAP)is intended to enhance the transparency and research quality of our randomized controlled trial.Methods:Our study is a multicenter,double-blind,randomized controlled clinical trial.This trial aimed to compare the completion rate of chemotherapy in colon cancer patients who are using and not using Jianpi Bushen formula.To attenuate possible selection bias in the final report,we declared the overall trial design,outcome measures,subgroup analyses,and safety measures.Also,we described the data management and statistical analysis methods in detail.Conclusion:The SAP provides more detailed information than the trial protocol for data management and statistical analysis methods.Further post-hoc analyses can be performed by referring to the SAP,and possible selection bias can be attenuated.Ruiming Zhao Huijuan Cao Lingyun Sun Tong Zhang Yun Xu Shaohua Yan Jun Mao Jianping Liu Yutong Fei Yufei Yang 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2023,10,1:0
8Novel method of constructing generalized Hoberman sphere mechanisms based on deployment axes显示文摘This study proposes a method of constructing type Ⅱ generalized angulated elements(GAEs Ⅱ)Hoberman sphere mechanisms on the basis of deployment axes that intersect at one point.First,the constraint conditions for inserting n GAEs II into n deployment axes to form a loop are given.The angle constraint conditions of the deployment axes are obtained through a series of linear equations.Second,the connection conditions of two GAEs Ⅱ loops that share a common deployable center are discussed.Third,a flowchart of constructing the generalized Hoberman sphere mechanism on the basis of deployment axes is provided.Finally,four generalized Hoberman sphere mechanisms based on a fully enclosed regular hexahedron,arithmetic sequence axes,orthonormal arithmetic sequence axes,and spiral-like axes are constructed in accordance with the given arrangement of deployment axes that satisfy the constraint conditions to verify the feasibility of the proposed method.Xuemin SUN Yan-An YAO Ruiming LI 2020Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2020,15,1:0
