3Edge Metric Dimension of Honeycomb and Hexagonal Networks for IoT显示文摘Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)is considered to be one of the fundamental technologies employed in the Internet of things(IoT);hence,enabling diverse applications for carrying out real-time observations.Robot navigation in such networks was the main motivation for the introduction of the concept of landmarks.A robot can identify its own location by sending signals to obtain the distances between itself and the landmarks.Considering networks to be a type of graph,this concept was redefined as metric dimension of a graph which is the minimum number of nodes needed to identify all the nodes of the graph.This idea was extended to the concept of edge metric dimension of a graph G,which is the minimum number of nodes needed in a graph to uniquely identify each edge of the network.Regular plane networks can be easily constructed by repeating regular polygons.This design is of extreme importance as it yields high overall performance;hence,it can be used in various networking and IoT domains.The honeycomb and the hexagonal networks are two such popular mesh-derived parallel networks.In this paper,it is proved that the minimum landmarks required for the honeycomb network HC(n),and the hexagonal network HX(n)are 3 and 6 respectively.The bounds for the landmarks required for the hex-derived network HDN1(n)are also proposed.Sohail Abbas Zahid Raza Nida Siddiqui Faheem Khan Taegkeun Whangbo 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,5:0
4Dust Static Cylindrically Symmetric Solutions in f(R) Gravity显示文摘This paper is devoted to investigate non-vacuum solutions of cylindrically symmetric spacetime in the context of metric f(R) gravity. We take dust matter to find energy density of the universe. In particular, we find two exact solutions, which correspond to two f(R) models in each case. The first solution provides constant curvature while the second solution corresponds to non-constant curvature. The functions of the Ricci scalar and energy densities are evaluated in each case.M. 5Structural and optical properties of Zn_(1-x)Ni_xTe thin films prepared by electron beam evaporation technique显示文摘Zn1-xNixTe thin films with different composition(x=0.0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20) were deposited on glass substrate by electron beam evaporation technique followed by its characterization using advanced structural and optical analysis techniques. Structural properties of the prepared thin films were studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD). The XRD patterns revealed that the binary compounds transformed into a ternary compound with cubic structure having preferred orientation along the c-direction with(111) planes. Composition analysis of the films was determined by energy dispersive analysis of X-rays(EDAX) and found to be in agreement with the precursor composition. Optical properties such as extinction coefficient(k) and band gap energy of these films were examined by using a spectroscopic ellipsometer. It was found that the extinction coefficient(k) increased with the addition of Ni content in the alloy. In comparison, the band gap energy was also determined by using transmission spectra and found to be agreed with that of the ellipsometric results. 6Photoluminescence and structural analysis of wurtzite(ZnO)1-x(V2O5)x composite显示文摘This paper demonstrates the structural, vibrational and photoluminescence characteristics of(ZnO)_(1-x)(V_2O_5)_x(x = 0, 3, 6 and 9 mol%) composites semiconductor synthesized by using the solid state reaction method. X-ray diffraction(XRD) studies show that(ZnO)_(1-x)(V_2O_5)_x composites have the poly crystalline wurtzite structure of hexagonal Zn O. It is found from the XRD results that the lattice constants and the crystallite size increase while the dislocation density decreases with increase in doping concentration. The existence of E1(TO) and E2(high) Raman modes show that the Zn O still preserve wurtzite structure after doping vanadium oxide, which is in agreement with XRD results. Room temperature photoluminescence(PL) exhibit near band edge and broad deep level emission while indicating the suppression of deep level emission with the incorporation of V_2O_5 up to a certain concentration(x < 9). 8Deep Convolutional Neural Networks for Accurate Classification of Gastrointestinal Tract Syndromes显示文摘Accurate detection and classification of artifacts within the gastrointestinal(GI)tract frames remain a significant challenge in medical image processing.Medical science combined with artificial intelligence is advancing to automate the diagnosis and treatment of numerous diseases.Key to this is the development of robust algorithms for image classification and detection,crucial in designing sophisticated systems for diagnosis and treatment.This study makes a small contribution to endoscopic image classification.The proposed approach involves multiple operations,including extracting deep features from endoscopy images using pre-trained neural networks such as Darknet-53 and Xception.Additionally,feature optimization utilizes the binary dragonfly algorithm(BDA),with the fusion of the obtained feature vectors.The fused feature set is input into the ensemble subspace k nearest neighbors(ESKNN)classifier.The Kvasir-V2 benchmark dataset,and the COMSATS University Islamabad(CUI)Wah private dataset,featuring three classes of endoscopic stomach images were used.Performance assessments considered various feature selection techniques,including genetic algorithm(GA),particle swarm optimization(PSO),salp swarm algorithm(SSA),sine cosine algorithm(SCA),and grey wolf optimizer(GWO).The proposed model excels,achieving an overall classification accuracy of 98.25% on the Kvasir-V2 benchmark and 99.90% on the CUI Wah private dataset.This approach holds promise for developing an automated computer-aided system for classifying GI tract syndromes through endoscopy images.Zahid Farooq Khan Muhammad Ramzan Mudassar Raza Muhammad Attique Khan Khalid Iqbal Taerang Kim Jae-Hyuk Cha 2024Computers, Materials & Continua2024,78,1:0
9Experimental investigation of multiphase flow behavior in drilling annuli using high speed visualization technique显示文摘Imaging with high definition video camera is an important technique to visualize the drilling conditions and to study the physics of complex multiphase flow associated with the hole cleaning process.The main advantage of visualizing multiphase flow in a drilling annulus is that the viewer can easily distinguish fluid phases,flow patterns and thicknesses of cutting beds.In this paper the hole cleaning process which involves the transportation of cuttings through a horizontal annulus was studied.The two-phase(solid-liquid)and the three-phase(solid-liquid-gas)flow conditions involved in this kind of annular transportation were experimentally simulated and images were taken using a high definition camera.Analyzing the captured images,a number of important parameters like velocities of different phases,heights of solid beds and sizes of gas bubbles were determined.Two different techniques based on an image analysis software and MATLAB coding were used for the determinations.The results were compared to validate the image analyzing methodology.The visualization technique developed in this paper has a direct application in investigating the critical conditions required for efficient hole cleaning as well as in optimizing the mud program during both planning and operational phases of drilling.Particularly,it would be useful in predicting the cuttings transport performance,estimating solid bed height,gas bubble size,and mean velocities of bubbles/particles.Alap Ali ZAHID Syed Raza ur REHMAN S.RUSHD Anwarul HASAN Mohammad Azizur RAHMAN 2020Frontiers in Energy2020,14,3:0
