1Relationship of microstructure transformation and hardening behavior of type 17-4 PH stainless steel显示文摘The relationship between the microstructure transformation of type 17-4 PH stainless steel and the aging hardening be- havior was investigated. The results showed that, when 17-4 PH stainless steel aging at 595°C, the bulk hardness of samples attains its peak value (42.5 HRC) for about 20 min, and then decreases at all time. TEM revealed the microstructure corresponding with peak hardness is that the fine spheroid-shape copper with the fcc crystal structure and the fiber-shape secondary carbide M23C6 precipitated from the lath martensite matrix. Both precipitations of copper and M23C6 are the reasons for strengthening of the alloy at this tem- perature. 3Chemical Mechanical Polishing of Glass Substrate with α-Alumina-g-Polystyrene Sulfonic Acid Composite Abrasive显示文摘Abrasive is the one of key influencing factors during chemical mechanical polishing(CMP) process. Currently, α-Alumina (α-Al2O3) particle, as a kind of abrasive, has been widely used in CMP slurries, but their high hardness and poor dispersion stability often lead to more surface defects. After being polished with composite particles, the surface defects of work pieces decrease obviously. So the composite particles as abrasives in slurry have been paid more attention. In order to reduce defect caused by pure α-Al2O3 abrasive, α-alumina-g-polystyrene sulfonic acid (α-Al2O3-g-PSS) composite abrasive was prepared by surface graft polymerization. The composition, structure and morphology of the product were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectroscopy(TOF-SIMS), and scanning electron microscopy(SEM), respectively. The results show that polystyrene sulfonic acid grafts onto α-Al2O3, and has well dispersibility. Then, the chemical mechanical polishing performances of the composite abrasive on glass substrate were investigated with a SPEEDFAM-16B-4M CMP machine. Atomic force microscopy(AFM) images indicate that the average roughness of the polished glass substrate surface can be decreased from 0.835 nm for pure α-Al2O3 abrasive to 0.583 nm for prepared α-Al2O3-g-PSS core-shell abrasive. 7Lens Epithelial Cell Proliferation and Cell Density in Human Age-related Cataract显示文摘Purpose: To discuss the potential effect of the lens epithelial cell proliferation inage-related cataract.Methods: In vitro cell proliferation was assayed by MTT method to evaluate the lensepithelial cell density, index, and proliferation capacity in normal lens and all kinds ofage-related cataract. Capsulotomy specimens from all kinds of patients who underwentcataract phacoemulsification extraction surgery were compared with the lens epithelialspecimens from non-cataract lenses of Eye Bank eyes.Results:Lens epithelial cell density of central anterior capsule(LECD) in female normallens was higher than that in male, LECD in nuclear cataract (> NⅢ) was higher thanthat in normal lens, but in the mature cortical cataract, LECD was lower. 10Novel three-body nano-abrasive wear mechanism显示文摘Current three-body abrasive wear theories are based on a macroscale abrasive indentation process,and these theories claim that material wear cannot be achieved without damaging the hard mating surface.In this study,the process of three-body nano-abrasive wear of a system including a single crystalline silicon substrate,an amorphous silica cluster,and a polyurethane pad,based on a chemical mechanical polishing(CMP)process,is investigated via molecular dynamics simulations.The cluster slid in a suspended state in smooth regions and underwent rolling impact in the asperity regions of the silicon surface,realizing non-damaging monoatomic material removal.This proves that indentation-plowing is not necessary when performing CMP material removal.Therefore,a non-indentation rolling-sliding adhesion theory for three-body nano-abrasive wear between ultrasoft/hard mating surfaces is proposed.This wear theory not only unifies current mainstream CMP material removal theories,but also clarifies that monoatomic material wear without damage can be realized when the indentation depth is less than zero,thereby perfecting the relationship between material wear and surface damage.These results provide new understanding regarding the CMP microscopic material removal mechanism as well as new research avenues for three-body abrasive wear theory at the monoatomic scale.Ruling CHEN Shaoxian LI 2022Friction2022,10,5:2
11Study on the influence of standoff distance on substrate damage under an abrasive water jet process by molecular dynamics simulation显示文摘The process of a cluster-containing water jet impinging on a monocrystalline silicon substrate was studied by molecular dynamics simulation. The results show that as the standoff distance increases, the jet will gradually diverge. As a result, the solidified water film between the cluster and the substrate becomes 'thicker' and 'looser'. The 'thicker' and 'looser' water film will then consume more input energy to achieve complete solidification, resulting in the stress region and the high-pressure region of the silicon substrate under small standoff distances to be significantly larger than those under large standoff distances. Therefore, the degree of damage sustained by the substrate will first experience a small change and then decrease quickly as the standoff distance increases. In summary, the occurrence and maintenance of complete solidification of the confined water film between the cluster and the substrate plays a decisive role in the level of damage formation on the silicon substrate.
