1Seasonal variations in the occurrence and distribution of estrogens and pharmaceuticals in the Zhangweinanyun River System显示文摘The report describes the use of solid-phase extraction(SPE)and LC/MS/MS to investigate the occurrence and distribution of 4 estrogens(estrone,17 β-estradiol,estriol,and 17 α-ethynylestradiol)and 3 anti-inflammatories(ibuprofen,ketoprofen and naproxen)in the Zhangweinanyun River System(China).Relatively higher concentrations were observed for estrone,17 α-ethynylestradiol,and ketoprofen in the Wei Canal than in the Wei River and in the Zhangweixin River.The study suggested that there is a potential ecological risk of male fish feminization from estrogens in the Zhangweinanyun River System.CAO JinLing SHI JiangHong HAN Rui LI YingXia YANG ZhiFeng 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,27:13
2The U-Pb chronologic evidence and sedimentary responses of Silurian tectonic activities at northeastern margin of Tarim Basin显示文摘U-Pb ages of Devonian detrital zircons from Tabei Uplift have been determined through LA-ICP-MS test technology.The results revealed that most zircon ages concentrate on 460-414 Ma,especially around 436-423 Ma,indicating possible occurrences of strong tectonic events at the northern margin of Tarim Basin during that period.Combined with previous researches on the basin marginal orogenic belts,intense tectonic activities developed at the northeast margin of Tarim Basin and its obvious sedimentary responses in basin during the end of Ordovician to Early-Middle Silurian are discussed.These include(1) several unconformities within the Late Ordovician-Silurian,showing truncation,erosion,and onlap characteristics,which reflected the local uplift formed during the surrounding extrusion process;(2) the Silurian fluvial delta system from northeast to southwest in Keping,Yingmaili,Hade,and Caohu areas,which reflected the partial uplift at the northeast margin and provided clastic supply to basin;and(3) as indicated by heavy mineral analysis,the Silurian sediments came mainly from the recycles of orogenic belts provenance,which indicated the compress tectonic setting.In addition,a wide range of red mudstone layer distribution in the upper part of the Silurian may be closely related to the surrounding tectonic uplift and the rapid decline of sea levels.LIU JingYan YANG HaiJun YANG YongHeng CAI ZhenZhong LIU YongQuan RUI ZhiFeng SU ZhenZhen 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,9:7

5Hypoxic response elements and Tet-On advanced double-controlled systems regulate hVEGF_(165) and angiopoietin-1 gene expression in vitro显示文摘Angiogenesis in ischemic tissue is a complex and multi-gene event. In the study, we constructed hypoxic re-sponse elements (HRE) and the Tet-On advanced double-controlled systems and investigated their effects on the expression of hVEGF165 and angiopoietin-1 (Ang-1) genes in rat cardiomyocytes exposed to hypoxia and pharma-cologic induction. We infected neonatal rat cardiomyocytes with recombinant rAAV-rtTA-Rs-M2/rAAV-TRE-Tight-Ang-1 and rAAV-9HRE- hVEGF165. Our results indicated that the viral titer was 1×1012 vg /mL and the viral purity exceeded 98%. hVEGF165 expression was induced by hypoxia, but not by normoxia (P < 0.001). Ang-1 expression was evident under doxycycline induction, but undetectable without doxycycline induction (P < 0.001). Immunofluorescence staining showed that positively stained hVEGF165 and Ang-1 protein appeared only under both hypoxia and doxycycline induction. 10Higher-order valley vortices enabled by synchronized rotation in a photonic crystal显示文摘Synchronized rotation of unit cells in a periodic structure provides a novel design perspective for manipulation of band topology.We then design a two-dimensional version of higher-order topological insulator(HOTI)by such rotation in a triangular photonic lattice with C_(3) symmetry.This HOTI supports the hallmark zero-dimensional corner states and,simultaneously,the one-dimensional edge states.We also find that our photonic corner states carry chiral orbital angular momenta locked by valleys,whose wave functions are featured by the phase vortex(singularity)positioned at the maximal Wyckoff points.Moreover,when excited by a fired source with various frequencies,the valley topological states of both one-dimensional edges and zero-dimensional corners emerge simultaneously.Extendable to higher or synthetic dimensions,our paper provides access to a chiral vortex platform for HOTI realizations in the terahertz photonic system.RUI ZHOU HAI LIN YANJIE WU ZHIFENG LI ZIHAO YU Y.LIU DONG-HUI XU 2022Photonics Research2022,10,5:0
