2Biostability in distribution systems in one city in southern China: Characteristics, modeling and control strategy显示文摘This study investigated the bacterial regrowth in drinking water distribution systems receiving finished water from an advanced drinking water treatment plant in one city in southern China. Thirteen nodes in two water supply zones with different aged pipelines were selected to monitor water temperature, dissolved oxygen(DO), chloramine residual, assimilable organic carbon(AOC), and heterotrophic plate counts(HPC). Regression and principal component analyses indicated that HPC had a strong correlation with chloramine residual. Based on Chick-Watson's Law and the Monod equation, biostability curves under different conditions were developed to achieve the goal of HPC 100 CFU/mL. The biostability curves could interpret the scenario under various AOC concentrations and predict the required chloramine residual concentration under the condition of high AOC level. The simulation was also carried out to predict the scenario with a stricter HPC goal( 50 CFU/mL) and determine the required chloramine residual. The biological regrowth control strategy was assessed using biostability curve analysis. The results indicated that maintaining high chloramine residual concentration was the most practical way to achieve the goal of HPC 100 CFU/mL. Biostability curves could be a very useful tool for biostability control in distribution systems. 4Comprehensive multivariate grey incidence degree based on principal component analysis显示文摘To overcome the too fine-grained granularity problem of multivariate grey incidence analysis and to explore the comprehensive incidence analysis model, three multivariate grey incidences degree models based on principal component analysis(PCA) are proposed. Firstly, the PCA method is introduced to extract the feature sequences of a behavioral matrix. Then, the grey incidence analysis between two behavioral matrices is transformed into the similarity and nearness measure between their feature sequences. Based on the classic grey incidence analysis theory, absolute and relative incidence degree models for feature sequences are constructed, and a comprehensive grey incidence model is proposed. Furthermore, the properties of models are researched. It proves that the proposed models satisfy the properties of translation invariance, multiple transformation invariance,and axioms of the grey incidence analysis, respectively. Finally, a case is studied. 5Performance analysis and test of a maize inter-row self-propelled thermal fogger chassis显示文摘In view of the difficulties in weeding and plant protection in the middle and late period of maize planting,this paper proposed a self-propelled thermal fogger chassis.According to the theoretical calculation and agronomic requirements for maize planting,the structure and working principles of the self-propelled thermal fogger chassis were introduced.On this basis,the multi-body dynamics model of chassis structure was established,and the chassis traction,steering and obstacle surmounting performances were also analyzed.Then the rationality and the feasibility of the design were verified through the furrow running test and test equipped with thermal fogger.Test results showed that,the traction performance improves with the decrease of soil deformation index and increase of cohesion,and when track pre-tensioning force was about 1000 N,the machine had a good traction performance;with the decrease of the soil deformation index and the increase of cohesive force,the stability of the single side brake turn of the chassis becomes better;on the contrary,with the increase of the tightness of the crawler,the steering radius turns smaller and the steering stability becomes worse.Under heavy clay,with the pre-tensioning of 1000 N,the machine has better steering stability and smaller turning radius.The obstacle-surmounting simulation result shows that on sandy soil road,the maximum climbing angle for the chassis is 42°,the height of vertical obstacle crossing is 170 mm and the trench width is 440 mm.The study provides a reference for the design of plant protection machinery in the middle and late stages of maize planting.Liqing Chen Pinpin Wang Peng Zhang Quan Zheng Jin He Qingjie Wang 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,5:3
6Ecological principle meets cancer treatment: treating children with acute myeloid leukemia with low-dose chemotherapy显示文摘Standard chemotherapy regimens for remission induction of pediatric acute myeloid leukemia(AML) are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. We performed a cohort study to determine the impact of reducing the intensity of remission induction chemotherapy on the outcomes of selected children with AML treated with a low-dose induction regimen plus granulocyte colony stimulating factor(G-CSF)(low-dose chemotherapy(LDC)/G-CSF). Complete response(CR) after two induction courses was attained in 87.0%(40/46) of patients receiving LDC/G-CSF. Post-remission therapy was offered to all patients, and included standard consolidation and/or stem cell transplantation. During the study period, an additional 94 consecutive children with AML treated with standard chemotherapy(SDC) for induction(80/94(85.1%) of the patients attained CR after induction Ⅱ, P = 0.953) and post-remission. In this non-randomized study, there were no significant differences in 4-year event-free(67.4 vs. 70.7%;P = 0.99)and overall(70.3 vs. 74.6%, P = 0.69) survival in the LDC/G-CSF and SDC cohorts, respectively. After the first course of induction, recovery of white blood cell(WBC) and platelet counts were significantly faster in patients receiving LDC/G-CSF than in those receiving SDC(11.5 vs. 18.5 d for WBCs(P < 0.001);15.5 vs. 22.0 d for platelets(P < 0.001)). To examine the quality of molecular response, targeted deep sequencing was performed. Of 137 mutations detected at diagnosis in 20 children who attained hematological CR after two courses of LDC/G-CSF(n = 9) or SDC(n = 11), all of the mutations were below the reference value(variant allelic frequency <2.5%) after two courses, irrespective of the treatment group. In conclusion, children with AML receiving LDC/G-CSF appear to have similar outcomes and mutation clearance levels, but significantly lower toxicity than those receiving SDC. 7A Low Power,High Sensitivity SiGe HBT Static Frequency Divider up to 90 GHz for Millimeter-Wave Application显示文摘A layout and connection optimization for static frequency divider is presented. The layout optimization provides a new circle topology transistors placement and reasonable connection structure, which reduces the parasitic effectively and enables self-oscillation frequency enhancement. Besides, bandwidth enhancement techniques based on a center-tap capacitor in input balun design and inductive peaking in latch design are adopted to improve further high frequency performance with low power consumption. As a proof of concept, design of a divide-by-2 static frequency divider in 0.13 μm SiGe BiCMOS technology is reported. With single-ended input clock signal, the divider is measured to be operated from 40 to 90 GHz. Phase noise measurements of a 90 GHz input clock signal indicate ideal behavior with no measurable noise contribution from the divider. The divider followed by a buffer that can deliver more than-10 dBm output power, which is sufficient to drive succeeding stage. 12Alternations in the gut microbiota and metabolome with newly diagnosed unstable angina显示文摘Gut microbiota plays an important role in coronary heart disease, but its compositional and functional changes in unstable angina(UA) remain unexplored. We performed metagenomic sequencing of 133 newly diagnosed UA patients and 133 sex-and age-matched controls, and profiled the fecal and plasma metabolomes in 30 case-control pairs. The alpha diversity of gut microbiota was increased in UA patients:the adjusted odds ratios(ORs) per standard deviation increase in Shannon and Simpson indices were 1.30(95% confidence interval, 1.01-1.70) and 1.36(1.05-1.81), respectively. Two common species(depleted Klebsiella pneumoniae and enriched Streptococcus parasanguinis;P ≤ 0.002) and three rare species(depleted Weissella confusa, enriched Granulicatella adiacens and Erysipelotrichaceae bacterium 6_1_45;P ≤ 0.005) were associated with UA. The UA-associated gut microbiota was depleted in the pathway of Lphenylalanine degradation(P = 0.001), primarily contributed by Klebsiella pneumoniae. Consistently, we found increased circulating phenylalanine in UA patients(OR = 2.76 [1.17-8.16]). Moreover, Streptococcus parasanguinis was negatively correlated with fecal citrulline(Spearman's r_(s)=-0.470, P = 0.009), a metabolite depleted in UA patients(OR = 0.26 [0.08-0.63]). 15Research on Silicon-Based Terahertz Communication Integrated Circuits显示文摘With the increasing number of users and emerging new applications, the demand for mobile data traffic is growing rapidly. The limited spectrum resources of the traditional microwave and millimeter-wave frequency bands can no longer support the future wireless communication systems with higher system capacity and data throughput. The terahertz(THz) frequency bands have abundant spectrum resources, which can provide sufficient bandwidth to expand channel capacity and increase transmission data rate. In addition, with the rapid development of silicon-based semiconductor technology,its characteristic size keeps decreasing, and the radio frequency performance of active devices is gradually approaching the performance of III-V semiconductor technology. The realization of THz communication systems based on low-cost, high-stability, and easy-to-integrate silicon-based process has become a feasible solution. 17Neutralization against SARS-CoV-2 Delta/Omicron variants and B cell response after inactivated vaccination among COVID-19 convalescents显示文摘Emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants have made COVID-19 convalescents susceptible to re-infection and have raised concern about the efficacy of inactivated vaccination in neutralization against emerging variants and antigen-specific B cell response.To this end,a study on a long-term cohort of 208 participants who have recovered from COVID-19 was conducted,and the participants were followed up at 3.3(Visit 1),9.2(Visit 2),and 18.5(Visit 3)months after SARS-CoV-2 infection.They were classified into three groups(no-vaccination(n=54),one-dose(n=62),and two-dose(n=92)groups)on the basis of the administration of inactivated vaccination.The neutralizing antibody(NAb)titers against the wild-type virus continued to decrease in the no-vaccination group,but they rose significantly in the one-dose and two-dose groups,with the highest NAb titers being observed in the two-dose group at Visit 3.The NAb titers against the Delta variant for the no-vaccination,one-dose,and two-dose groups decreased by 3.3,1.9,and 2.3 folds relative to the wild-type virus,respectively,and those against the Omicron variant decreased by 7.0,4.0,and 3.8 folds,respectively.Similarly,the responses of SARS-CoV-2 RBD-specific B cells and memory B cells were boosted by the second vaccine dose.Results showed that the convalescents benefited from the administration of the inactivated vaccine(one or two doses),which enhanced neutralization against highly mutated SARS-CoV-2 variants and memory B cell responses.Two doses of inactivated vaccine among COVID-19 convalescents are therefore recommended for the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic,and vaccination guidelines and policies need to be updated.Hao Wang Yu Yuan Bihao Wu Mingzhong Xiao Zhen Wang Tingyue Diao Rui Zeng Li Chen Yanshou Lei Pinpin Long Yi Guo Xuefeng Lai Yuying Wen Wenhui Li Hao Cai Lulu Song Wei Ni Youyun Zhao Kani Ouyang Jingzhi Wang Qi Wang Li Liu Chaolong Wang An Pan Xiaodong Li Rui Gong Tangchun Wu 2023Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,4:0
18A nanobody-based blocking enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for detecting antibodies against pseudorabies virus glycoprotein E显示文摘Pseudorabies(PR)is an acute infectious disease of pigs caused by the PR virus(PRV)and results in great economic losses to the pig industry worldwide.PRV glycoprotein E(gE)-based enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)has been used to distinguish gE-deleted vaccine-immunized pigs from wild-type virus-infected pigs to eradicate PR in some countries.Nanobody has the advantages of small size and easy genetic engineering and has been a promising diagnostic reagent.However,there were few reports about developing nanobody-based ELISA for detecting anti-PRV-gE antibodies.In the present study,the recombinant PRV-gE was expressed with a bacterial system and used to immunize the Bactrian camel.Then,two nanobodies against PRV-gE were screened from the immunized camel by phage display technique.Subsequently,two nanobody-HRP fusion proteins were expressed with HEK293T cells.The PRV-gE-Nb36-HRP fusion protein was selected as the probe for developing the blocking ELISA(bELISA)to detect anti-PRV-gE antibodies.Through optimizing the conditions of bELISA,the amount of coated antigen was 200 ng per well,and dilutions of the fusion protein and tested pig sera were separately 1:320 and 1:5.The cut-off value of bELISA was 24.20%,and the sensitivity and specificity were 96.43 and 92.63%,respectively.By detecting 233 clinical pig sera with the developed bELISA and a commercial kit,the results showed that the coincidence rate of two assays was 93.99%.Additionallly,epitope mapping showed that PRV-gE-Nb36 recognized a conserved conformational epitope in different reference PRV strains.Simple,great stability and low-cost nanobody-based bELISA for detecting anti-PRV-gE antibodies were developed.The bELISA could be used for monitoring and eradicating PR.Huanhuan Lü Pinpin Ji Siyu Liu Ziwei Zhang Lei Wang Yani Sun Baoyuan Liu Lizhen Wang Qin Zhao 2024Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,4:0
