1A novel approach of testability modeling and analysis for PHM systems based on failure evolution mechanism显示文摘Prognostics and health management (PHM) significantly improves system availability and reliability, and reduces the cost of system operations. Design for testability (DFT) developed concurrently with system design is an important way to improve PHM capability. Testability modeling and analysis are the foundation of DFT. This paper proposes a novel approach of testability modeling and analysis based on failure evolution mechanisms. At the component level, the fault progression-related information of each unit under test (UUT) in a system is obtained by means of failure modes, evolution mechanisms, effects and criticality analysis (FMEMECA), and then the failure-symptom dependency can be generated. At the system level, the dynamic attributes of UUTs are assigned by using the bond graph methodology, and then the symptom-test dependency can be obtained by means of the functional flow method. Based on the failure-symptom and symptom-test dependencies, testability analysis for PHM systems can be realized. A shunt motor is used to verify the application of the approach proposed in this paper. 3Research on single event transient pulse quenching effect in 90 nm CMOS technology显示文摘Since single event transient pulse quenching can reduce the SET(single event transient) pulsewidths effectively,the charge collected by passive device should be maximized in order to minimize the propagated SET.From the perspective of the layout and circuit design,the SET pulsewidths can be greatly inhibited by minimizing the layout spacing and signal propagation delay,which sheds new light on the radiation-hardened ICs(integrated circuits) design.Studies show that the SET pulsewidths of propagation are not in direct proportion to the LET(linear energy transfer) of incident particles,thus the defining of the LET threshold should be noted when SET/SEU(single event upset) occurs for the radiation-hardened design.The capability of anti-radiation meets the demand when LET is high but some soft errors may occur when LET is low.Therefore,radiation experiments should be focused on evaluating the LET that demonstrates the worst response to the circuit.QIN JunRui CHEN ShuMing LIU BiWei CHEN JianJun LIANG Bin LIU Zheng 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,11:14

5Effect of different molecular weight organic components on the increase of microbial growth potential of secondary effluent by ozonation显示文摘Ozonation has been widely applied in advanced wastewater treatment. In this study, the effect of ozonation on assimilable organic carbon(AOC) levels in secondary effluents was investigated, and AOC variation of different molecular weight(MW) organic components was analyzed. Although the removal efficiencies were 47%–76% and 94%–100% for UV254 and color at ozone dosage of 10 mg/L, dissolved organic carbon(DOC) in secondary effluents was hardly removed by ozonation. The AOC levels increased by 70%–780% at an ozone dosage range of 1–10 mg/L. AOC increased significantly in the instantaneous ozone demand phase, and the increase in AOC was correlated to the decrease in UV254 during ozonation.The results of MW distribution showed that, ozonation led to the transformation of larger molecules into smaller ones, but the increase in low MW(< 1 k Da) fraction did not contribute much to AOC production. The change of high MW(> 100 k Da and 10–100 k Da)fractions itself during ozonation was the main reason for the increase of AOC levels.Furthermore, the oxidation of organic matters with high MWs(> 100 k Da and 10–100 k Da)resulted in more AOC production than those with low MWs(1–10 k Da and < 1 k Da). 6Monthly survey of N-nitrosamine yield in a conventional water treatment plant in North China显示文摘A sampling campaign was conducted monthly to investigate the occurrence of N-nitrosamines at a conventional water treatment plant in one city in North China.The yield of N-nitrosamines in the treated water indicated precursors changed greatly after the source water switching.Average concentrations of N-nitrosodimethylamine(NDMA),N-nitrosomorpholine(NMOR),and N-nitrosopyrrolidine(NPYR) in the finished water were6.9,3.3,and 3.1 ng/L,respectively,from June to October when the Luan River water was used as source water,while those of NDMA,N-nitrosomethylethylamine(NMEA),and NPYR in the finished water were 10.1,4.9,and 4.7 ng/L,respectively,from November to next April when the Yellow River was used.NDMA concentration in the finished water was frequently over the 10 ng/L,i.e.,the notification level of California,USA,which indicated a considerable threat to public health.Weak correlations were observed between N-nitrosamine yield and typical water quality parameters except for the dissolved organic nitrogen.Chengkun Wang Shuming Liu Jun Wang Xiaojian Zhang Chao Chen 2015Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,12:11
7Assessing the numbers of SNPs needed to establish molecular IDs and characterize the genetic diversityof soybean cultivars derived from Tokachi nagaha显示文摘The development of a core set of SNP molecular markers that could be widely used in soybean genetic research would greatly facilitate research into the genetic diversity of soybean.We conducted an analysis of Tokachi nagaha and 137 of its descendant soybean cultivars using 4044 SNP markers with the goal of determining the appropriate number of single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)needed to construct unambiguous molecular IDs and characterize genetic diversity based on a genetic distance matrix correlation method.When the number of SNPs was held constant,the number of accession pairs that could be distinguished increased as the polymorphism informative content(PIC)value of the SNPs increased.A core panel of 20 selected SNPs from 11 linkage groups with a mean PIC value of 0.3703 and a range of 0.3640–0.3749 was able to identify almost all of the accession pairs in our study[9445 pairs(99.92%)].The eight accession pairs that could not be identified with this core SNP set all originated from the same province and some of them had the same parental cultivars.The molecular IDs of the 138 accessions were constructed using the core 20 SNPs.It is known that both the number of SNPs and PIC values should be considered when SNPs are selected for use in the analysis of genetic diversity.In this study,when the PIC value was 0.3460,the correlation coefficient between the genetic distance matrices associated with a panel of 200 SNPs and the total population was>0.800,indicating satisfactory correlation.Our high-accuracy,high-resolution core SNP panel for germplasm fingerprinting and our findings about assessing genetic diversity will likely markedly improve the management and utilization efficiency of soybean germplasm resources.Zhangxiong Liu Jun Li Xuhong Fan Nang Myint Phyu Sin Htwe Shuming Wang Wen Huang Jiyu Yang Lili Xing Lijun Chen Yinghui Li Rongxia Guan Ruzhen Chang Dechun Wang Lijuan Qiu 2017The Crop Journal2017,5,4:10
8Vehicle Planar Motion Stability Study for Tyres Working in Extremely Nonlinear Region显示文摘Many researches on vehicle planar motion stability focus on two degrees of freedom(2DOF) vehicle model,and only the lateral velocity (or side slip angle) and yaw rate are considered as the state variables.The stability analysis methods,such as phase plane analysis,equilibriums analysis and bifurcation analysis,are all used to draw many classical conclusions.It is concluded from these researches that unbounded growth of the vehicle motion during unstable operation is untrue in reality thus one limitation of the 2DOF model.The fundamental assumption of the 2DOF model is that the longitudinal velocity is treated as a constant,but this is intrinsically incorrect.When tyres work in extremely nonlinear region,the coupling between the vehicle longitudinal and lateral motion becomes significant.For the purpose of solving the above problem,the effect of vehicle longitudinal velocity on the stability of the vehicle planar motion when tyres work in extremely nonlinear region is investigated.To this end,a 3DOF model which introducing the vehicular longitudinal dynamics is proposed and the 3D phase space portrait method is employed for visualization of vehicle dynamics.Through the comparisons of the 2DOF and 3DOF models,it is discovered that the vehicle longitudinal velocity greatly affects the vehicle planar motion,and the vehicle dynamics represented in phase space portrait are fundamentally different from that of the 2DOF model.The vehicle planar motion with different front wheel steering angles is further represented by the corresponding vehicle route,yaw rate and yaw angle.These research results enhance the understanding of the stability of the vehicle system particularly during nonlinear region,and provide the insight into analyzing the attractive region and designing the vehicle stability controller,which will be the topics of future works.LIU Li SHI Shuming SHEN Shuiwen CHU Jiangwei 2010Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,2:8

11Characterization of Hemicelluloses Extracted from Populus tomentosa Carr. by the Hydrothermal Method with Ethanol显示文摘The aim of this study was to investigate the hemicelluloses extracted from Populus tomentosa Carr.by the hydrothermal method with ethanol.The influence of ethanol concentration on the hemicellulosic fractions was systematically studied.The chemical compositions and structural features of the hemicellulosic fractions were investigated by a combination of sugar analysis,gel-permeation chromatography,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and one-dimensional proton and carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance,and two-dimensional heteronuclear single quantum coherence spectroscopy.Neutral sugar analysis of the hemicellulosic fractions revealed that a higher ethanol concentration(45%~80%) favored the isolation of hemicelluloses with more side chains and lower glucose contents.The molecular weights of these polysaccharides ranged between 2842 g/mol and 5101 g/mol.The results of this study indicate that the hydrothermal ethanol process provides a new pretreatment strategy for the isolation and extraction of biomass.LianHua Fu Shan Liu ShuMing Li YaYu Li MingGuo Ma 2017Paper And Biomaterials2017,2,3:7
12Evaluation of the mold-filling ability of alloy melt in squeeze casting显示文摘The mold-filling ability of alloy melt in squeeze casting process was evaluated by means of the maximum length of Archimedes spiral line. A theoretical evaluating model to predict the maximum filling length was built based on the flowing theory of the incompressible viscous fluid. It was proved by experiments and calculations that the mold-filling pressure and velocity are prominent influencing factors on the mold-filling ability of alloy melt. The mold-filling ability increases with the increase of the mold-filling pressure and the decrease of the proper mold-filling velocity. Moreover, the pouring temperature relatively has less effect on the mold-filling ability under the experimental conditions. The maximum deviation of theoretical calculating values with experimental results is less than 15%. 14The temporal-spatial distribution and changes of dissolved oxygen in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters for the last 50 a显示文摘The Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters form one of the most important estuarine and coastal areas in China. Multi source and long-term data are assembled to examine the temporal-spatial distribution features of dissolved oxygen(DO) in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters for the past 50 a. The results show that the DO concentration in the surface of different seasons generally stays stable, while the DO concentration in winter displays a slight increase for the last 50 a. The DO average concentration in winter and spring varies from 7to 11 mg/L, and in summer and autumn from 6 to 8 mg/L. Hypoxic values first appear in May, and low DO value plume can be observed on the bottom in spring along coastal areas of Zhejiang and Fujian Provinces, China. In summer, the plume advances northward, and the hypoxic intensity of northern transects is much higher than southern transects. Until autumn, hypoxia areas fade away little by little, and completely disappear in winter.Within last 50 a, hypoxia in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters starts to appear in the 1980 s. Since2000, the degree of hypoxia has increased seriously and the distribution depth has become smaller. 15Isotherm Equation Study of F Adsorbed from Water Solution by Fe2(SO4)3-modified Granular Activated Alumina显示文摘The adsorption equilibrium of a fluoride solution on 1-2 mm granular activated alumina modified by Fe2(SO4)3 solution was investigated.The experiments were conducted using a wide range of initial fluoride concentrations(0.5 to 180 mg·L-1 at pH~7.0) and an adsorbent dose of 1.0 g·L-1.The application of Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherm models(linear and nonlinear forms) generally showed that a single Langmuir or Freundlich equation cannot fit the entire concentration gap.Experimental data on low equilibrium concentrations(0.1 to 5.0 mg·L-1) was in line with both Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models,whereas that of high equilibrium concentrations(5.0 to 150 mg·L-1) was more in line with the Freundlich isotherm model.A new LangmuirFreundlich function was used for the entire concentration gap,as well as for low and high concentrations.DANG Dan DING Wenming CHENG Anguo LIU Shuming ZHANG Xu 2011Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2011,19,4:5

19Single event transient pulse attenuation effect in three-transistor inverter chain显示文摘In this paper, compared with two-transistor (2T) inverter chain, the production and propagation of P-hit single event transient (SET) in three-transistor (3T) inverter chain is studied in depth based on three-dimensional numerical simulations in a 90 nm bulk complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology. The pulse attenuation effect is found in 3T inverter chain, and the pulse can not completely propagate through the inverter chain as LET increases. 20Flexible high energy density zinc-ion batteries enabled by binder-free MnO_(2)/reduced graphene oxide electrode显示文摘We demonstrate a rechargeable zinc-ion battery with high energy density and cyclability using MnO_(2)and reduced graphene oxide(MnO_(2)/rGO)electrode.The flexible and binder free electrode,with high MnO_(2)mass ratio(80 wt%of MnO_(2)),is fabricated using vacuum filtration without any additional additives other than rGO.Compared to batteries with conventional MnO_(2)electrodes,the Zn-MnO_(2)/rGO battery shows a significant enhanced capacity(332.2 mAh g^(-1)at 0.3 A g^(-1)),improved rate capability(172.3 mAh g^(-1)at 6 A g^(-1))and cyclability.The capacity retention remains 96%after 500 charge/discharge cycles at 6 A g^(-1).The high MnO_(2)mass ratio makes MnO_(2)/rGO electrode advantageous when the capacity is normalized to the whole electrode,particularly at high rates.The calculated gravimetric energy density of Zn-MnO_(2)/rGO battery is 33.17Wh kg^(-1),which is comparable to the existing commercial lead-acid batteries(30-40Wh kg^(-1)).Furthermore,the discharge profile and capacity of our Zn-MnO_(2)/rGO battery shows no deterioration during bending test,indicating good flexibility.As a result,zinc-ion battery is believed to be a promising technology for powering next generation flexible electronics.Yuan Huang Jiuwei Liu Qiyao Huang Zijian Zheng Pritesh Hiralal Fulin Zheng Dilek Ozgit Sikai Su Shuming Chen Ping-Heng Tan Shengdong Zhang Hang Zhou 2018npj Flexible Electronics2018,2,1:4
