1Effects of water management on arsenic and cadmium speciation and accumulation in an upland rice cultivar显示文摘Pot and field experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of water regimes on the speciation and accumulation of arsenic(As) and cadmium(Cd) in Brazilian upland rice growing in soils polluted with both As and Cd. In the pot experiment constant and intermittent flooding treatments gave 3–16 times higher As concentrations in soil solution than did aerobic conditions but Cd showed the opposite trend. Compared to arsenate, there were more marked changes in the arsenite concentrations in the soil solution as water management shifted, and therefore arsenite concentrations dominated the As speciation and bioavailability in the soil. In the field experiment As concentrations in the rice grains increased from 0.14 to 0.21 mg/kg while Cd concentrations decreased from 0.21 to 0.02 mg/kg with increasing irrigation ranging from aerobic to constantly flooding conditions. Among the various water regimes the conventional irrigation treatment produced the highest rice grain yield of 6.29 tons/ha. The As speciation analysis reveals that the accumulation of dimethylarsinic acid(from 11.3% to 61.7%) made a greater contribution to the increase in total As in brown rice in the intermittent and constant flooding treatments compared to the intermittent-aerobic treatment. Thus, water management exerted opposite effects on Cd and As speciation and bioavailability in the soil and consequently on their accumulation in the upland rice. 2Study on preparation and properties of CeO_2/epoxy resin composite coating on sintered NdFeB magnet显示文摘The CeO_2/epoxy resin composite coating was deposited on NdFeB substrate by cathode electrophoresis method for enhancing the anticorrosion and anti-wear performances. The morphologies and structures were characterized by a scanning electron microscope and an X-ray diffractometer. The micro hardness of the composite coating was evaluated by a microhardness tester. The corrosive behaviors of the coatings were studied by potentiodynamic polarization curve, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and neutral salt spray tests. The concentration of CeO_2 nanoparticles(NPs) in the electrophoresis bath was optimized according to the coating structures and anticorrosion performances. The results show that CeO_2 NPs can enhance the microhardness of the composite coatings. Moreover, the nanoparticles disperse uniformly in the matrix when the concentration is lower than 30 g/L. The microhardness of CeO_2/epoxy resin(30 g/L) composite coating is about 63% higher than that of the blank epoxy resin coating. And the NSS time of the CeO_2/epoxy resin(30 g/L) composite coated sample can reach 1248 h.Meanwhile, the composite coatings possess no deteriorate influence on the magnetic properties of NdFeB substrates. 3Concentrations of Heavy Metals in Suburban Horticultural Soils and Their Uptake by Artemisia selengensis显示文摘A total of 222 surface soil samples and 40 plant samples were collected to investigate the spatial distribution and possible sources of soil heavy metals and to know the uptake and translocation of heavy metals from roots to different plant parts in a representative vegetable production area in the Baguazhou Island, a suburb of Nanjing City, East China. The arithmetic mean values of total Cd, Cr,Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn concentrations in the soils were 0.314, 133, 41.0, 58.0, 31.8, and 114 mg kg-1, respectively. All of these values were above the topsoil background values in the Nanjing area. Multivariate and geostatistical analyses showed that soil Cd contamination was derived mainly from agricultural practices. In contrast, Cu and Zn were derived mainly from soil parent materials and Pb from atmospheric deposition from highway gasoline stations. Artemisia selengensis, a locally important specialty vegetable, accumulated heavy metals primarily in the edible leaves. The general distribution of heavy metal concentrations in this plant species showed that the highest occurred in the leaves, intermediate in the stems and lowest in the roots. 4A genetic linkage map of hexaploid naked oat constructed with SSR markers显示文摘Naked oat is a unique health food crop in China. Using 202 F2 individuals derived from a hybrid between the variety 578 and the landrace Sanfensan, we constructed a genetic linkage map consisting of 22 linkage groups covering 2070.50 c M and including 208 simple sequence repeat(SSR) markers. The minimum distance between adjacent markers was0.01 c M and the average was 9.95 c M. Each linkage group contained 2–22 markers. The largest linkage group covered 174.40 c M and the shortest one covered 36.80 c M, with an average of 94.11 c M. Thirty-six markers(17.3%) showing distorted segregation were distributed across linkage groups LG5 to LG22. 5Throughput Maximization for Multi-UAV Enabled Millimeter Wave WPCN: Joint Time and Power Allocation显示文摘In this paper,we investigate the effective deployment of millimeter wave(mmWave)in unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-enabled wireless powered communication network(WPCN).In particular,a novel framework for optimizing the performance of such UAV-enabled WPCN in terms of system throughput is proposed.In the considered model,multiple UAVs monitor in the air along the scheduled flight trajectory and transmit monitoring data to micro base stations(mBSs)with the harvested energy via mmWave.In this case,we propose an algorithm for jointly optimizing transmit power and energy transfer time.To solve the non-convex optimization problem with tightly coupled variables,we decouple the problem into more tractable subproblems.By leveraging successive convex approximation(SCA)and block coordinate descent techniques,the optimal solution is obtained by designing a two-stage joint iteration optimization algorithm.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm with joint transmit power and energy transfer time optimization achieves significant performance gains over Q-learning method and other benchmark schemes.Jiansong Miao Pengjie Wang Qian Zhang Yue Wang 2020China Communications2020,17,10:6
6Cortical Organization of Centrifugal Afferents to the Olfactory Bulb: Mono-and Trans-synaptic Tracing with Recombinant Neurotropic Viral Tracers显示文摘Sensory processing is strongly modulated by different brain and behavioral states,and this is based on the top-down modulation.In the olfactory system,local neural circuits in the olfactory bulb(OB)are innervated by centrifugal afferents in order to regulate the processing of olfactory information in the OB under different behavioral states.The purpose of the present study was to explore the organization of neural networks in olfactory-related cortices and modulatory nuclei that give rise to direct and indirect innervations to the glomerular layer(GL)of the OB at the whole-brain scale.Injection of different recombinant attenuated neurotropic viruses into the GL showed that it received direct inputs from each layer in the OB,centrifugal inputs from the ipsilateralanterior olfactory nucleus(AON),anterior piriform cortex(Pir),and horizontal limb of diagonal band of Broca(HDB),and various indirect inputs from bilateral cortical neurons in the AON,Pir,amygdala,entorhinal cortex,hippocampus,HDB,dorsal raphe,median raphe and locus coeruleus.These results provide a circuitry basis that will help further understand the mechanism by which olfactory informationprocessing in the OB is regulated.Pengjie Wen Xiaoping Rao Liuying Xu Zhijian Zhang Fan Jia Xiaobin He Fuqiang Xu 2019Neuroscience Bulletin2019,35,4:4

8Genetic basis of high aroma and stress toleranee in the oolong tea cultivar genome显示文摘Tea plants(Camellia sinensis)are commercially cultivated in>60 countries,and their fresh leaves are processed into tea,which is the most widely consumed beverage in the world.Although several chromosome-level tea plant genomes have been published,they collapsed the two haplotypes and ignored a large number of allelic variations that may underlie important biological functions in this species.Here,we present a phased chromosome-scale assembly for an elite oolong tea cultivar,'Huangdan',that is well known for its high levels of aroma.Based on the two sets of haplotype genome data,we identi fi ed numerous genetic variations and a substantial proportion of allelic imbalance related to important traits,including aroma-and stress-related alleles.Comparative genomics revealed extensive structural variations as well as expansion of some gene families,such as terpene synthases(TPSs),that likely contribute to the high-aroma characteristics of the backbone parent,underlying the molecular basis for the biosynthesis of aroma-related chemicals in oolong tea.Our results uncovered the genetic basis of special features of this oolong tea cultivar,providing fundamental genomic resources to study evolution and domestication for the economically important tea crop.Pengjie Wang Jiaxin Yu Shan Jin Shuai Chen Chuan Yue Wenling Wang Shuilian Gao Hongli Cao Yucheng Zheng Mengya Gu Xuejin Chen Yun Sun Yuqiong Guo Jiangfan Yang Xingtan Zhang Naixing Ye 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:4
9Chlorination strategy on polymer donors toward efficient solar conversions显示文摘Bulk heterojunction(BHJ)polymer solar cells(PSCs)are promising candidates for next-generation solar cells.Benefitting from the persistent efforts in material design and synthesis,systematic device engineering and fundamental understanding of the device physics,the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of single PSC has been pushed to surpass 15%,and that of the tandem PSCs is over 17%.Recently,chlorination has drawn much interest and the chlorinated PSCs have been frequently reported in donor-acceptor(D-A)type conjugated polymers.This review summarizes the recent progress of the chlorinated strategy for highly efficient photovoltaic applications.We firstly discuss the chlorination on the acceptor units in D-A type donor polymers,emphasizing the 4 widely used acceptor units with their improved PCE.secondly,the chlorination on the donor units will be discussed,mainly focusing on the chlorination of benzo[1,2-b:4,b]dithiophene(BDT)unit and 2,2-bithiophene unit.Remarkably,the PCE of the chlorinated BDT-based device has been improved to over 14%.Overall,this review discusses the structure-property correlations of these chlorinated polymers in photovoltaic study,which could further provide guidance on the chlorinated strategy and the molecular design for high-performance photovoltaic devices.Pengjie Chao Nicolas Johner Xiaowei Zhong Hong Meng Feng He 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,12:4
10Identification of PAL genes related to anthocyanin synthesis in tea plants and its correlation with anthocyanin content显示文摘The phenylalanine ammonia-lyase(PAL)gene family in tea plants(Camellia sinensis L.)encodes the enzyme that catalyzes the first reaction of the phenylpropane metabolic pathway.The present study aimed to characterize the PAL genes in tea plants,and get better insights on the CsPALs in anthocyanins accumulation.Seven CsPAL genes were identified and characterized in tea plants by bioinformatics analysis.Systematic analysis of CsPALs was conducted for its phylogenetic relationship,gene structure,chromosomal location,and protein conserved motifs based on tea plant genome.The cis-elements of CsPALs were responsive to light,abiotic stress,hormone,and MYB-binding site.Furthermore,tissuespecific expression analysis showed that CsPAL4 was expressed preferentially in young leaves and buds.Correlation analysis was performed in purple-leaf tea with anthocyanin components,and it was suggested that CsPAL4 was closely related with different anthocyanin accumulated,especially with cyanidin 3-O-galactoside,cyanidin 3-O-glucoside,and delphinidin 3-O-glucoside.Additionally,the putative upstream regulation factors CsMYBs(CsMYB59,CsARR1,CsSRM1,CsMYB101,and CsMYB52)and CsbHLHs(CsbHLH104,CsbHLH3,CsbIM1,CsTCP14,and CsPIF4)could bind to the promoter of CsPALs,thereby activating its transcription.This study provides a theoretical basis for further research to elucidate the functions of the CsPAL genes.Xuejin Chen Pengjie Wang Mengya Gu Binghao Hou Churan Zhang Yucheng Zheng Yun Sun Shan Jin Naixing Ye 2022Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,3:4
11Subduction channel fluid-rock interaction:Indications from rutile-quartz veins within eclogite from the Yuka terrane,North Qaidam orogen显示文摘High-pressure(HP)or ultrahigh-pressure(UHP)rutile-quartz veins that form at mantle depths due to fluid-rock interaction can be used to trace the properties and behavior of natural fluids in subduction zones.To explore the fluid flow and the associated element mobility during deep subduction and exhumation of the continental crust,we investigated the major and trace elements of Ti-rich minerals.Additionally,U–Pb dating,trace element contents,and Lu–Hf isotopic composition of zircon grains in the UHP eclogite and associated rutile-quartz veins were examined in the North Qaidam UHP metamorphic belt,Yuka terrane.The zircon grains in the rutile-quartz veins have unzoned or weak oscillatory zonings,and show low Th/U ratios,steep chondrite-normalized patterns of heavy rare earth elements(HREEs),and insignificant negative Eu anomalies,indicating their growth in metamorphic fluids.These zircon grains formed in 4313 Ma,which is consistent with the 4322 Ma age of the host eclogite.As for the zircons in the rutile-quartz veins,they showed steep HREE patterns on one hand,and were different from the zircons present in the host eclogite on the other.This demonstrates that their formation might have been related to the breakdown of the early stage of garnet,which corresponds to the abundance of fluids during the early exhumation stage.The core-rim profile analyses of rutile recorded a two-stage rutile growth across a large rutile grain;the rutile core has higher Nb,Ta,W,and Zr contents and lower Nb/Ta ratios than the rim,indicating that the rutile domains grew in different metamorphic fluids from the core towards the rim.The significant enrichment of high field strength elements(HFSEs)in the rutile core suggests that the peak fluids have high solubility and transportation capacity of these HFSEs.Furthermore,variations in the Nb vs.Cr trends in rutile indicate a connection of rutile to mafic protolith.The zircon grains from both the rutile-quartz veins and the host eclogite have similar Hf isotopic compositions,indicating that the vein-forming fluids are internally derived from the host eclogite.These fluids accumulated in the subduction channel and were triggered by local dehydration of the deeply subducted eclogite during the early exhumation conditions.Xin Chen Youye Zheng Rongke Xu Pingyang Gu Jiyuan Yu Jie Bai Pengjie Cai Xiaojia Jiang 2020Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,2:3
12A chlorinated polymer promoted analogue co-donors for efficient ternary all-polymer solar cells显示文摘The efficient ternary all-polymer solar cells(PSCs) are designed and fabricated, using a polymer acceptor of NDP-V-C7 and analogue co-donors containing a chlorinated polymer PBCl T and classical PTB7-Th. PBCl T and PTB7-Th possess very similar chemical structure and matched energy levels to form the cascade of the co-donors. Meanwhile, benefiting from those analogous polymer structures, there is little influence of the morphology in blend film compared to their pristine polymer films. The binary PBCl T:NDP-V-C7 devices exhibit a high open-circuit voltage(V_(oc)) due to the deep HOMO level of PBCl T. The V_(oc)of all-PSCs could be finely manipulated by adjusting the content of PBCl T in blend film. The ternary all-PSCs have the more balanced charge mobility and prolonged carrier lifetime compared to the binary devices. The PBCl T also help improve the miscibility of ternary blend and suppress crystallization in films, bringing about favorable morphology with appropriate orientation and surface roughness in blend film. With the optimal processing, the champion ternary all-PSCs obtain a high PCE of 9.03%, which is about 10% enhancement compared to that of binary device. 13Fuel-optimal deorbit scheme of space debris using tethered space-tug based on pseudospectral method显示文摘This paper proposes a fuel-optimal deorbit scheme for space debris deorbit using tethered space tug.The scheme contains three stages named respectively as dragging,maintenance and swinging.In the first stage,the tug,propelled by continuous thrust,tows deorbit to a transfer orbit with a tether.Then in the second stage,the combination of the tug and the debris flies unpowered and uncontrolled to a swing point on the transfer orbit.Finally,in the third stage,the tug is propelled at the swing point and the rotation speed of the tethered system increases such that the debris obtains enough velocity increment.The trajectory optimization of the first stage is established considering the total fuel consumption of the three stages,whereas the dynamic model is simplified for computation efficiency.The solution to the optimal problem is obtained using a direct method based on Gauss pesudospectral discretization.Then a model predictive controller is designed to track the open-loop optimal reference trajectories,reducing the states’deviations caused by model simplification and ignorance of perturbations.Furthermore,it is proved that the fuel-optimal swing point is the apogee of the transfer orbit.The paper analyzes the fuel consumption of a typical scenario and demonstrates effectiveness of the proposed deorbit scheme numerically.Haiping RAO Rui ZHONG Pengjie LI 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,9:3

15Densification and anticorrosion performances of vacuum evaporated aluminium coatings on NdFeB magnets显示文摘Al coated NdFeB magnets obtained by vacuum evaporation technique were densified by high energy ball milling method.The surface morphology,metal composition and micro structure of the coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,respectively.The anticorrosive properties were investigated by potentiodynamic polarization curves and neutral salt spray test.The pores in the Al coatings of columnar crystals(Al) induced by the evaporation technique,were apparently filled in the following ball milling process,leading to the densification of Al coatings and the evident improvement of the anticorrosive performances.When treated with ball milling for 30 min,the sample achieves the best anticorrosive performances with the self-corrosion potential of-0.87 V,self-corrosion current density of 1.65 μA/cm^(2) and the neutral salt spray(NSS) time of 144 h(red rust).The improvement of the anticorro sive performances of vacuum evaporated Al coating mainly lies in the densification effect of the coating,which depends on different loading conditions of ball milling process.Jun Huang Qing Liu Zhenyu Yang Guangqing Xu Pengjie Zhang Jun Lv Wei Sun Bingshan Li Dongmei Wang Yucheng Wu 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,10:3
16Dynamic Analysis of Supply and Demand Coupling of Ecosystem Services in Loess Hilly Region:A Case Study of Lanzhou,China显示文摘The relationship between the supply and demand for ecosystem services(ESs)is a key issue for the rational allocation of natural resources and optimisation of sustainable development capacity.This paper investigateed the dynamic evolution features of supply and demand of four ESs in Lanzhou of China,namely,water supply,food supply,carbon fixation and soil retention services.The crosssectional data of 2005 and 2017 were used for calculating ESs value and its supply and demand through ArcGIS software,InVEST model,elastic coefficient model and coupling coordination model.Results showed that:1)from 2005 to 2017,the supply of water supply services increased,the demand of soil retention services decreased,and the supply and demand of food supply and carbon fixation services increased.The high-value areas of service supply were mainly distributed in the rocky mountain areas in the southeast and northwest with high vegetation coverage,while the high-value areas of demand were mainly distributed in the urban areas and surrounding areas with high population density.2)There were five different types of coupling relations.Water supply service was dominated by a negative coupling type D,which means that the decrease in demand for ESs has had a positive response on the supply of ESs.Negative coupling type C was the main type of food supply and carbon fixation services,which means that the increase in demand for ESs has had a negative response on the supply of ESs.All three services were supplemented by a positive coupling type A,which means that the increase in demand for ESs has had a positive response on the supply of ESs.Soil retention service generally exhibits a positive coupling type B,which means that the decrease in demand for ESs has had a negative response on the supply of ESs.3)Over the past 12 yr,the coordination degree of supply and demand of water supply,food supply and soil retention services decreased,and the coordination degree of carbon fixation service increased.Various types of ES had a low degree of coupling and coordination,showing different characteristics of temporal and spatial evolution.The areas with imbalanced ESs supply and demand were mainly distributed in urban areas dominated by construction land.The research results are valuable to the optimisation of urban and rural ecological environments and the sustainable development of territory space under the framework of ecological civilisation,including similar ecologically vulnerable areas in other developing countries.LI Pengjie LIU Chunfang LIU Licheng WANG Weiting 2021Chinese Geographical Science2021,31,2:3
17The effects of different nitrogen sources on camptothecin content and related gene expression in Camptotheca acuminata seedlings显示文摘Camptotheac acuminata Decne is a unique tree species in China with an important secondary metabolite,camptothecin(CPT),used in the treatment of cancer.Nitrogen(N)is an important element that affects plant growth and the accumulation of CPT.Reports on the effect of N on CPT synthesis from a genetic perspective are scarce.To explore the effects of different N sources and levels on CPT synthesis in C.acuminata,two-year-old seedlings were fertilized with different concentrations of pure ammonium sulphate,source of ammonium N(NH4+-N),and potassium nitrate for nitrate N(NO3--N).Concentrations of 2.5,5,7.5,and10 g pot-1 NH4+-N and NO3--N were used.The results showed that 7.5 g NH4+-N and NO3--N treatments were best for growth and fresh weight of leaves.Compared with the other treatments,the CPT content,tryptophan synthase and tryptophan decarboxylase activities,and expression of the CaTSB and CaTDCl genes under the 2.5 g NH4+-N and NO3--N treatments peaked significantly at 30 days.However,the expression of CaTDC2 surpassed that of the other two genes at 60 days.Therefore,compared with NH4+-N source,the NO3--N source was more beneficial for growth,and NO3--N was better for CPT yield.Consequently,leaves of C.acuminata treated with 2.5 g NO3--N could be harvested after 30 days to obtain maximum CPT content.CaTDC1 is more closely linked to CPT synthesis.The results of this study improved the production of CPT in C.acuminata via fertilization.Xiaode Wang Sainan Bian Pengjie Chang Ninghang Wang Lingjuan Xuan Mingru Zhang Bin Dong Chao Zhang Jiasheng Wu Yeqing Ying Xiazhen Lin Yamei Shen 2020Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,4:3

20Chromatin accessibility and translational Iandscapes of tea plants under chilling stress显示文摘Plants have evolved regulatory mechanisms at multiple levels to regulate gene expression in order to improve their cold adaptability.However,limited information is available regarding the stress response at the chromatin and translational levels.Here,we characterize the chromatin accessibility,transcriptional,and translational landscapes of tea plants in vivo under chilling stress for the first time.Chilling stress signi ficantly affected both the transcription and translation levels as well as the translation efficiency of tea plants.A total of 3010 genes that underwent rapid and independent translation under chilling stress were observed,and they were signi ficantly enriched in the photosynthesis-antenna protein and phenylpropanoid biosynthesis pathways.A set of genes that were signi ficantly responsive to cold at the transcription and translation levels,including four(+)-neomenthol dehydrogenases(MNDs)and two(E)-nerolidol synthases(NESs)arranged in tandem on the chromosomes,were also found.We detected potential upstream open reading frames(uORFs)on 3082 genes and found that tea plants may inhibit the overall expression of genes by enhancing the translation of uORFs under chilling stress.In addition,we identi fied distal transposase hypersensitive sites(THSs)and proximal THSs and constructed a transcriptional regulatory network for tea plants under chilling stress.We also identi fied 13 high-con fidence transcription factors(TFs)that may play a crucial role in cold regulation.These results provide valuable information regarding the potential transcriptional regulatory network in plants and help to clarify how plants exhibit flexible responses to chilling stress.Pengjie Wang Shan Jin Xuejin Chen Liangyu Wu Yucheng Zheng Chuan Yue Yongchun Guo Xingtan Zhang Jiangfan Yang Naixing Ye 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2
