3Periodicity and map for discovery of new ionic liquids显示文摘There is virtually no limit in the number of ionic liquids. How to select proper ones or discover new ones with desirable properties in such a large pool of ionic liquids? It has become a bottleneck in the researches and applications of ionic liquids. Mendeleev’s periodic law states that the properties of the elements vary periodically. Whether the similar regularity exists among ionic or mo-lecular fragments of compounds is an interesting topic. In this work, we attempted to establish a pe-riodicity and draw a “map” of ionic liquids for providing definite guidance to discover, design, and se-lect the proper ionic liquids rather than trial-and-error. 4Further Recognition of Petroleum Exploration Potential of Marine Carbonates in Western Tarim Basin显示文摘A series of significant discoveries in marine carbonate rocks show great petroleum exploration potential in the Tarim Basin. However, the oil and gas fields discovered in the carbonate rocks are mainly distributed around the Manjiaer Sag in the eastern Tarim Basin. Some explorations occurred and no oil or gas field was discovered around the Awati Sag in the western Tarim Basin. Information from wells and outcrops reveals that there are excellent oil and gas source rock conditions around the Awati Sag. Transformed reef-shoal reservoirs could be formed in the Ordovician carbonate rocks with paleo-geographic background and hydrothermal conditions. 5The association between the genetic polymorphisms of LMP2/LMP7 and the outcomes of HCV infection among drug users显示文摘Objective:To investigate a possible association of LMP2/LMP7 genes with chronic hepatitis C virus(HCV) infection,and to assess whether LMP2/LMP7 genes could influence the outcomes of HCV infection among drug users.Methods:Genomic DNAs of 362 anti-HCV sero-positive drug users and 225 control drug users were extracted from the peripheral blood leukocytes.The sero-positive patients were divided into those who had persistent infection and those who had spontaneously cleared the infection.Polymorphisms of LMP genes were determined by PCR combined with restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP).Results:The distribution of LMP2 genotypes among the control,persistent infection and spontaneous clearance groups were not different.However,the LMP7 codon 145 Gln/Lys,Lys/Lys,and Gln/Lys+Lys/Lys genotypes were found significantly more frequent in the persistent infection group than in control group(OR=1.75,95%CI=1.06~2.90;OR=3.16,95%CI=1.23-8.12;OR=1.94,95%CI=1.21-3.12,respectively).Similarly,the frequencies of the codon 145 Gln/Lys,Lys/Lys,and Gln/Lys+Lys/Lys genotypes were found significantly more frequent in the persistent infection group than in the spontaneous clearance group(OR=1.64,95%CI=1.04-2.57;OR=2.40,95%CI=1.09-5.28;OR=1.76,95%CI=1.152.69,respectively).Stratified analysis indicated that combined genotype Gln/Lys+Lys/Lys of the LMP7 gene was related to an increasing susceptibility to HCV infection(OR=1.91,95%CI=1.02-3.55;OR=2.19,95%CI=1.243.89;OR=1.91,95%CI=1.05-3.48,OR=2.86,95%CI=1.41-5.78,respectively)and the risk of persistent HCV infection(OR=1.94,95%CI=1.12-3.34;OR=2.02,95%CI=1.21-3.38;OR=1.78,95%CI=1.12-2.85,OR=2.23,95%CI=1.09-4.58,respectively)among>30-year-old,males,the injection drug user(IDU)subjects and/or the shorter duration drug users(≤5 y).Conclusion:These results suggest that polymorphism of the LMP7 gene may have an influence on the outcomes of HCV infection,and is one of the factors accounting for the genetic susceptibility to HCV infection among drug users.Qian Cui Yongxiang Zhang Jing Su Chao Shi Na Lei Keqin Ding Jun Li Rongbin Yu L u Wang Ning Wang 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,5:6
6Mechanokinetics of receptor-ligand interactions in cell adhesion显示文摘Receptor-ligand interactions in blood flow are crucial to initiate such biological processes as inflammatory cascade,platelet thrombosis,as well as tumor metastasis.To mediate cell adhesion,the interacting receptors and ligands must be anchored onto two apposing surfaces of two cells or a cell and a substratum,i.e.,two-dimensional(2D)binding,which is different from the binding of a soluble ligand in fluid phase to a receptor,i.e.,three-dimensional(3D) binding.While numerous works have been focused on3 D kinetics of receptor-ligand interactions in the immune system,2D kinetics and its regulations have been less understood,since no theoretical framework or experimental assays were established until 1993.Not only does the molecular structure dominate 2D binding kinetics,but the shear force in blood flow also regulates cell adhesion mediated by interacting receptors and ligands.Here,we provide an overview of current progress in 2D binding and regulations,mainly from our group.Relevant issues of theoretical frameworks,experimental measurements,kinetic rates and binding affinities,and force regulations are discussed.Ning Li Shouqin Lü Yan Zhang Mian Long 2015Acta Mechanica Sinica2015,31,2:5
7Experimental study of natural hydroxyapatite/chitosan composite on reconstructing bone defects显示文摘Objective:To study the possibility of natural hydroxyapatite/chitosan composite on repairing bone defects. Methods:We developed a natural hydroxyapatite/chitosan composite that could be molded into any desired shape. The powder component consists of natural hydroxyapatite, which is epurated from bone of pigs. The liquid component consists of malic acid and chitosan. Operations were performed on the left tibias of 15 white rabbits to create two square bone defects. One of the defects was reconstructed with the composite, while the other was not repaired and used as a blank control. Three of the animals were killed at the end of 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks respectively and implants were evaluated anatomically and histologically. Results:No apparent rejection reaction was found, except for a mild inflammatory infiltration observed 2 weeks after surgery. Fibrous tissue became thinner 2~8 weeks after surgery and bony connections were detected 12 weeks after surgery. The new bone was the same as the recipient bone by the 16th postoperative week. Conclusion:The hydroxyapatite/chitosan composite has good biocompatibility and osteoconduction. 9Antrodia Cinnamomea ameliorates neointimal formation by inhibiting infl ammatory cell infi ltration through downregulation of adhesion molecule expression in vitro and in vivo显示文摘The increased vascular infl ammation is a key event in the development of atherosclerotic lesions.Antrodia cinnamomea has been shown to promote anticancerogenic activity through decreasing infl ammation.However,the potential role of A.cinnamomea in cardiovascular diseases remains unexplored.Herein,using carotid arterial ligation models,we found that ethanol extract from A.cinnamomea(EEAC)signifi cantly inhibited neointimal hyperplasia in a dose-dependent manner,accompanied with the reduced expression of activated p65 and infl ammatory cytokines.We also show that EEAC ameliorated TNF-α-induced phosphorylation of p65 and pro-infl ammatory cytokine expression in both vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs)and macrophages in vitro.Mechanistically,EEAC suppressed expression levels of intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)and vascular cell adhesion molecule(VCAM-1)in VSMCs,which attenuates the ability of monocytes/macrophages adhesion to VSMCs.Furthermore,the expression level of these adhesion molecules and infi ltration of monocytes/macrophages were also decreased in neointimal VSMCs of arteries pretreated with EEAC.Altogether,our results reveal a novel function of A.cinnamomea in suppressing vascular infl ammation upon ligation injury during neointimal formation,likely through inhibition of infl ammatory cell infi ltration via downregulating the adhesion molecules in VSMCs.Thus,A.cinnamomea may offer a pharmacological therapy to slow down disease progression in patients with vascular injury.Yan Zhang Aijin Ma Hao Xi Ning Chen Rong Wang Chenhui Yang Jinbang Chen Pin Lü Fuping Zheng Wenyi Kang 2021Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,4:4
10Numerical simulation of flow focusing pattern and morphological changes in two-phase flow inside nozzle显示文摘The flow focusing nozzle is a new type of nozzle that performs effective atomization of the discrete phase by means of high-speed motion of the continuous phase.The flow pattern and its morphological changes have a significant effect on the atomization, but the influence of different parameters on the morphological change of the flow pattern remains unclear.The flow focusing pattern and morphological changes in the two-phase flow inside the nozzle were simulated numerically, based on the volume of fluid method.The results demonstrate that the ratio of the nozzle-to-capillary distance and capillary diameter, the gas–liquid velocity ratio, and capillary diameter have significant effects on the flow pattern.When the ratio of the nozzle-to-capillary distance H and capillary diameter D increases, or the capillary diameter D increases, the flow pattern tends to transform into a laminar form; however, when the gas–liquid velocity ratio V increases, the flow pattern tends to transform into a turbulence form.Furthermore, we define the cone-shaped expansion rate, cone-shaped focusing rate,and cone angle in order to study the morphological changes in the cone shape inside the nozzle.The results indicate that the morphological change of the cone shape and flow pattern transformation is interrelated.When the cone shape tends to be unstable, the flow pattern changes towards flow blurring, whereas, a stable cone indicates that the flow tends to exhibit a droplet pattern.Jin Zhao Zhi Ning Ming Lü Geng Wang 2019Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,1:2
11Numerical analysis of the 2D acoustic field with fuzzy-random parameters显示文摘Regard for the fuzziness and the randomness in some acoustic fields,a method for the numerical analysis of the 2D acoustic field with Fuzzy-Random parameters was proposed based on the equivalent conversion of information entropy.In the proposed method,a fuzzyrandom acoustic field was treated as a pure fuzzy acoustic field or a pure random acoustic field by transforming all the variables into fuzzy variables or random variables.Perturbation finite element methods for analyzing the two-dimensional acoustic fuzzy and random field are deduced.The sound pressure response of a 2D acoustic tube and the 2D acoustic cavity of a car with fuzzy-random parameters were analyzed by the proposed method and the Monte Carlo method,the results show that the proposed method can be well applied to the numerical analysis of the 2D acoustic field with fuzzy-random parameters,and has good prospect of engineering application.CHEN Ning YU Dejie XIA Baizhan L Hui 2014Chinese Journal of Acoustics2014,33,4:2
12Breakup of Cavitation Bubbles within the Diesel Droplet显示文摘Supercavitation in the diesel nozzle increases the instability of droplets in part due to the two-phase mixture,while the effect of cavitation bubbles on the instability of drops is still unclear.In order to investigate the breakup of cavitation bubbles within the diesel droplet,a new mathematical model describing the disturbance growth rate of the diesel bubble instability is developed.The new mathematical model is applied to predict the effects of fluids viscosity on the stability of cavitation bubbles.The predicted values reveal that the comprehensive effect of fluids viscosity makes cavitation bubbles more stable.Compared with the viscosities of air and cavitation bubble,the diesel droplet’s viscosity plays a dominant role on the stability of cavitation bubbles.Furthermore,based on the modified bubble breakup criterion,the effects of bubble growth speed,sound speed,droplet viscosity,droplet density,and bubble-droplet radius ratio on the breakup time and the breakup radius of cavitation bubbles are studied respectively.It is found that a bubble with large bubble-droplet radius ratio has the initial condition for breaking easily.For a given bubble-droplet radius ratio(0.2),as the bubble growth speed increases(from 2 m/s to 60 m/s),the bubble breakup time decreases(from 3.59μs to 0.17μs)rapidly.Both the greater diesel droplet viscosity and the greater diesel droplet density result in the increase of the breakup time.With increasing initial bubble-droplet radius ratio(from 0.2 to 0.8),the bubble breakup radius decreases(from 8.86μm to 6.23μm).There is a limited breakup radius for a bubble with a certain initial bubble-droplet radius ratio.The mathematical model and the modified bubble breakup criterion are helpful to improve the study on the breakup mechanism of the secondary diesel droplet under the condition of supercavitation.L Ming NING Zhi YAN Kai FU Juan SONG Yunchao SUN Chunhua 2014Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,1:2
