1慢性乙型肝炎患者肝脏良性占位的发病率及其特点:基于39450例彩色多普勒超声的病例对照研究显示文摘目的调查慢性乙型肝炎(CHB)患者中肝脏良性占位性病变的发病率,以普通人群为对照,分析其高发的风险因素及其与小肝癌的鉴别要点。方法回顾性分析2016年1月~2017年12月于南方医院肝脏中心就诊的17 721例CHB患者的影像学资料及相关临床资料,与同期在南方医院健康管理中心行常规体检的21629例普通人群进行比较分析。结果与普通人群相比,CHB患者的肝囊肿、肝血管瘤、肝硬化结节发病率更高,局灶性结节性增生的发病率更低(分别为11.8%vs 8.7%、8.2%vs 1.6%、20.6%vs 2.4%、0.006%vs 0.042%,均P<0.05),肝细胞腺瘤的发病率无统计学差异(P>0.05)。肝囊肿和肝硬化结节的发病率随年龄增长而升高,其中男性发病率高于女性(P<0.001);肝血管瘤的发病率在30~49岁患者中最高,无性别差异(P>0.05)。肝脏良性占位的超声表现多为内部回声均匀,边界清晰,形态规则:肝血管瘤常为高回声(83.32%,1579/1895),与小肝癌相比,它的四周与内部血流信号较少,固有动脉流速更低,门静脉流速更高;肝硬化结节多为强、弱混合回声(79.60%,7637/9595),结节内部和周边无血流信号,当其体积增大,伴内部回声发生不均匀改变时,提示恶变概率升高;肝囊肿常表现为内部无回声,后方回声增强。结论CHB患者较普通人群更易发生肝囊肿、肝血管瘤和肝硬化结节;其发病率与年龄、性别相关。本研究总结的肝脏良、恶性占位,特别是肝硬化结节的超声声学和血流学特征,能够为早期识别肝脏占位的性质提供重要线索和依据。任彦瑜 袁国盛 周宇辰 胡承光 刘俊维 Muhammad Ikram ANWAR 唐淬蓉 李园 于文轩 周元平 戴琳 2019南方医科大学学报2019,39,10:25
2基于拟人策略的三峡永久闸室编排新算法显示文摘为了提高三峡永久船闸闸室编排算法中的闸室面积利用率,根据'金角银边草肚皮'的拟人策略提出先从待选船舶集中选出宽度之和最接近闸室宽度的船舶组合纵向编排到闸室的左右两边,然后再选出长度之和最接近闸室剩余长度的船舶组合横向编排到闸室的上下两边,最后按照闸室剩余中间部分的长度和宽度选取船舶组合横向编排到闸室中间的新算法。通过算例验证了该算法在入选船舶数量以及闸室面积利用率方面都有明显改善,从而证明了算法的可行性及有效性。同时,该算法在实际编排过程中操作简单、编排速度快,给三峡闸室编排提供了一种新方法。吴小涛 袁晓辉 Muhammad Adnan Ikram 2015水电能源科学2015,33,5:6
3Particle size dependent sinterability and magnetic properties of recycled HDDR Nd-Fe-B powders consolidated with spark plasma sintering显示文摘The dependence of the magnetic properties on the particle size of recycled HDDR Nd-Fe-B powders was investigated,with the aim to assess the reprocessing potential of the end-of-life scrap magnets via spark plasma sintering(SPS).The as received recycled HDDR powder has coercivity(Hci)=830 kA/m and particles in the range from 30 to 700 μm(average 220 μm).After burr milling,the average particle size is reduced to 120 μm and subsequently the Hci of fine(milled) powder was 595 kA/m.Spark plasma sintering was exploited to consolidate the nanograined HDDR powders and limit the abnormal grain coarsening.The optimal SPS-ing of coarse HDDR powder at 750℃for 1 min produces fully dense magnets with Hci=950±100 kA/m which further increases to 1200 kA/m via thermal treatment at 750℃for 15 min.The burr milled fine HDDR powder under similar SPS conditions and after thermal treatment results in Hci=940 kA/m.The fine powder is further sieved down from 630 to less than 50 μm mesh size,to evaluate the possible reduction in Hci in relation to the particle size.The gain in oxygen content doubles for <50 μm sized particles as compared with coarser fractions(>200 μm).The XRD analysis for fractionated powder indicates an increase in Nd2O3 phase peaks in the finer(<100 μm)fractions.Similarly,the Hci reduces from 820 kA/m in the coarse particles(>200 μm) to 460 kA/m in the fine sized particles(<100μm).SPS was done on each HDDR powder fraction under the optimal conditions to measure the variation in Hci and density.The Hci of SPS-ed coarse fraction(>200 μm) is higher than 930 kA/m and it falls abruptly to just 70 kA/m for the fine sized particles(<100 μm).The thermal treatment further improves the Hci to>1000 kA/m only up to 100 μm sized fractions with>90% sintered density.The full densification(>99%) is observed only in the coarse fractions.The loss of coercivity and lack of sinterability in the fine sized particles(<100 μm) are attributed to a very high oxygen content.This implies that during recycling,if good magnetic properties are to be maintained or even increase the HDDR powder particles can be sized down only up to≥100 μm.Awais Ikram Farhan Mehmood Richard Stuart Sheridan Muhammad Awais Allan Walton Anas Eldosouky Saso Sturm Spomenka Kobe Kristina Zuzek Rozman 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,1:5
4Nitrogen management improves lodging resistance and production in maize(Zea mays L.)at a high plant density显示文摘Lodging in maize leads to yield losses worldwide.In this study,we determined the effects of traditional and optimized nitrogen management strategies on culm morphological characteristics,culm mechanical strength,lignin content,root growth,lodging percentage and production in maize at a high plant density.We compared a traditional nitrogen(N)application rate of 300 kg ha–1(R)and an optimized N application rate of 225 kg ha^(–1)(O)under four N application modes:50%of N applied at sowing and 50%at the 10th-leaf stage(N1);100%of N applied at sowing(N2);40%of N applied at sowing,40%at the 10th-leaf stage and 20%at tasseling stage(N3);and 30%of N applied at sowing,30%at the 10th-leaf stage,20%at the tasseling stage,and 20%at the silking stage(N4).The optimized N rate(225 kg ha^(–1))significantly reduced internode lengths,plant height,ear height,center of gravity height and lodging percentage.The optimized N rate significantly increased internode diameters,filling degrees,culm mechanical strength,root growth and lignin content.The application of N in four split doses(N4)significantly improved culm morphological characteristics,culm mechanical strength,lignin content,and root growth,while it reduced internode lengths,plant height,ear height,center of gravity height and lodging percentage.Internode diameters,filling degrees,culm mechanical strength,lignin content,number and diameter of brace roots,root volume,root dry weight,bleeding safe and grain yield were significantly negatively correlated with plant height,ear height,center of gravity height,internode lengths and lodging percentage.In conclusion,treatment ON4 significantly reduced the lodging percentage by improving the culm morphological characteristics,culm mechanical strength,lignin content,and root growth,so it improved the production of the maize crop at a high plant density.Irshad AHMAD Maksat BATYRBEK Khushnuma IKRAM Shakeel AHMAD Muhammad KAMRAN Misbah Raham Sher KHAN HOU Fu-jiang HAN Qing-fang 2023Journal of Integrative Agriculture2023,22,2:3

6Molecular hallmarks of long non-coding RNAs in aging and its significant effect on aging-associated diseases显示文摘Aging is linked to the deterioration of many physical and cognitive abilities and is the leading risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease. The growing aging population is a significant healthcare problem globally that researchers must investigate to better understand the underlying aging processes. Advances in microarrays and sequencing techniques have resulted in deeper analyses of diverse essential genomes(e.g., mouse, human, and rat) and their corresponding cell types, their organ-specific transcriptomes, and the tissue involved in aging. Traditional gene controllers such as DNA-and RNA-binding proteins significantly influence such programs, causing the need to sort out long non-coding RNAs, a new class of powerful gene regulatory elements. However, their functional significance in the aging process and senescence has yet to be investigated and identified. Several recent researchers have associated the initiation and development of senescence and aging in mammals with several well-reported and novel long non-coding RNAs. 17Radionuclide concentrations in sand samples from riverbanks of Muzaffarabad,Azad Kashmir显示文摘This paper presents the results of a radiological risk assessment arising from the presence of naturally occurring radionuclides in sand samples from three riverbanks in Muzaffarabad.The mean values obtained for 232 Th,226 Ra,and 40 K were found to be 44.58 ± 3.34,48.25 ± 1.77,and 239.92 ± 22.73 Bq kg^(-1),respectively.To assess the uniformity of exposure,the radium equivalent activity(Raeq) was calculated and was found to be130.47 ± 8.29 Bqkg^(-1).The current reported value for Raeqis lower than the maximum permissible value,that is,370 Bq kg^(-1),and equivalent to a gamma dose of1.5 m Svy^(-1).To investigate the possible contribution to health risks of alpha particle exposure,the radon exhalation rate(RER) from the sand samples was determined.The mean RER for all the samples was found to be335 m Bq m-^(2) h^(-1).About 43% of the samples were found to have an indoor excess lifetime cancer risk value slightly higher than recommended safety limit of 1,as proposed by the ICRP.A normalized parameter,the equivalent multiplicative factor,was defined and used to compare the current results with the findings of studies performed in other countries.Our findings are relevant to both human health and future environmental radiation monitoring.Abdul Razzaq Khan Muhammad Rafique Abdul Jabbar Saeed Ur Rahman Muhammad Ikram Shahzad Muhammad Ejaiz Khan Mulaika Yasin 2018Nuclear Science and Techniques2018,29,7:1
18Migraine in physicians and final year medical students:A crosssectional insight into prevalence,self-awareness,and knowledge from Pakistan显示文摘BACKGROUND Despite its high prevalence,migraine remains underdiagnosed worldwide.A significant reason is the knowledge gap in physicians regarding diagnostic criteria,clinical features,and other clinical aspects of migraine.AIM To measure the knowledge deficit in physicians and medical students and to assess the prevalence of migraine in the same population.METHODS An online questionnaire was developed and distributed among physicians and final year medical students on duty in various medical and surgical specialties of Allied and DHQ Hospitals,Faisalabad,between October 2018 and October 2019.Inclusion criteria were public practicing physicians who experience headaches,while those who never experienced headaches were excluded.Different questions assessed respondents on their knowledge of triggers,diagnosis,management,and prophylaxis of the migraine headache.They were asked to diagnose themselves using embedded ICHD-3 diagnostic criteria for different types of migraine.Graphs,tables,and figures were made using Microsoft Office 2016 and Microsoft Visio,and data analysis was done in R Studio 1.4.RESULTS We had 213 respondents and 175 fulfilled inclusion criteria,with 99(52%),58(30%)and 12(6.3%)belonging to specialties of medicine,surgery,and others,respectively.Both genders were symmetrically represented(88 male and 87 female).Fifty-two(24.4%)of our 213 respondents were diagnosed with migraine,with 26(50%)being aware of it.Females had higher prevalence among study participants(n=28,32.2%)compared to males(n=20,22.7%,P=0.19).A majority(62%)of subjects never consulted any doctor for their headache.Similarly,a majority(62%)either never heard or did not remember the diagnostic criteria of migraine.Around 38%falsely believed that having any type of aura is essential for diagnosing migraine.The consultation rate was 37%(n=65),and migraineurs were significantly more likely to have consulted a doctor,and a neurologist in particular(P<0.001).Consulters and migraineurs fared better in the knowledge of diagnostic aspects of the disease than their counterparts.There was no significant difference in other knowledge aspects between consulters versus non-consulters and migraineurs versus nonmigraineurs.CONCLUSION Critical knowledge gaps exist between physicians and medical students,potentially contributing to misdiagnosis and mismanagement of migraine.Hassan Choudry Fateen Ata Muhammad Naveed Naveed Alam Ruqaiya Ruqaiya Mahammed Khan Suheb Muhammad Qaiser Ikram Muhammad Muzammil Chouhdry Muaz Muaz 2022World Journal of Methodology2022,12,5:1
19Countrywide Survey for MERS-Coronavirus Antibodies in Dromedaries and Humans in Pakistan显示文摘Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) is a zoonotic pathogen capable of causing severe respiratory disease in humans. Although dromedary camels are considered as a major reservoir host, the MERS-CoV infection dynamics in camels are not fully understood. Through surveillance in Pakistan, nasal (n = 776) and serum (n = 1050)samples were collected from camels between November 2015 and February 2018. Samples were collected from animal markets, free-roaming herds and abattoirs. An in-house ELISA was developed to detect IgG against MERS-CoV. A total of 794 camels were found seropositive for MERS-CoV. Prevalence increased with the age and the highest seroprevalence was recorded in camels aged [ 10 years (81.37%) followed by those aged 3.1–10 years (78.65%) and B 3 years (58.19%).Higher prevalence was observed in female (78.13%) as compared to male (70.70%). Of the camel nasal swabs, 22 were found to be positive by RT-qPCR though with high Ct values. Moreover, 2,409 human serum samples were also collected from four provinces of Pakistan during 2016–2017.
