CO_2 reforming of methane over nickel catalysts supported on nanocrystalline MgAl_2O_4 with high surface area显示文摘In this paper dry reforming of methane (DRM) was carried out over nanocrystalline MgAl2O4-supported Ni catalysts with various Ni loadings. Nanocrystalline MgAl2O4 spinel with high specific surface area was synthesized by a co-precipitation method with the addition of pluronic P123 triblock copolymer as surfactant, and employed as catalyst support. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption, H2 chemisorption, temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), temperature-programmed oxidation (TPO), temperature- programmed desorption (TPD) and transmission and scanning electron microscopies (TEM, SEM) techniques. The obtained results showed that the catalyst support has a nanocrystalline structure (crystal size: about 5 nm) with a high specific surface area (175 m2 g-1) and a mesoporous structure. Increasing in nickel content decreased the specific surface area and nickel dispersion. The prepared catalysts showed high catalytic activity and stability during the reaction. SEM analysis revealed that whisker type carbon deposited over the spent catalysts and increasing in nickel loading increased the amount of deposited carbon. The nickel catalyst with 7 wt% of nickel showed the highest catalytic activity.Narges Hadian Mehran Rezaei Zeinab Mosayebi Fereshteh Meshkani 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,2:6
Solving asphaltene precipitation issue in vertical wells via redesigning of production facilities显示文摘Precipitation of heavy hydrocarbon components such as Wax and Asphaltenes are one of the most challenging issues in oil production processes. The associated complications extend from the reservoir to refineries and petrochemical plants.Precipitation is most destructive when the affected areas are hard to reach, for example the wellbore of producing wells. This work demonstrates the effect of adjusting choke valve sizes on thermodynamic parameters of fluid flowing in a vertical well. Our simulation results revealed optimum choke valve sizes that could keep producing vertical wells away from Asphaltene precipitation. The results of this study were implemented on a well in Darquin Reservoir that had been experiencing asphaltene precipitation.Experimental analysis of reservoir fluid,Asphaltene tests and thermodynamic simulations of well column were carried out and the most appropriate size of choke valve was determined. After replacing the well's original choke valve with the suggested choke valve, the Asphaltene precipitation problem diminished.Mahdi Zeinali Hasanvand Mohammad Ali Ahmadi Reza Mosayebi Behbahani 2015Petroleum2015,1,2:5
Synthesis of a PEBAX-1074/ZnO nanocomposite membrane with improved CO_2 separation performance显示文摘In this investigation, polymeric nanocomposite membranes(PNMs) were prepared via incorporating zinc oxide(ZnO) into poly(ether-block-amide)(PEBAX-1074) polymer matrix with different loadings. The neat membrane and nanocomposite membranes were prepared via solution casting and solution blending methods, respectively. The fabricated membranes were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM) to survey cross-sectional morphologies and thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA)to study thermal stability. Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) analyses were also employed to identify variations of the chemical bonds and crystal structure of the membranes, respectively. Permeation of pure gases, CO_2, CH_4 and N_2 through the prepared neat and nanocomposite membranes was studied at pressures of 3–18 bar and temperature of 25 °C. The obtained results showed that the fabricated nanocomposite membranes exhibit better separation performance compared to the neat PEBAX membrane in terms of both permeability and selectivity. As an example, at temperature of 25 °C and pressure of 3 bar, CO_2 permeability, ideal CO_2/CH_4 and CO_2/N_2 selectivity values for the neat PEBAX membrane are 110.67 Barrer, 11.09 and 50.08, respectively, while those values are 152.27 Barrer,13.52 and 62.15 for PEBAX/ZnO nanocomposite membrane containing 8 wt% ZnO.Navid Azizi Toraj Mohammadi Reza Mosayebi Behbahani 2017Journal of Energy Chemistry2017,26,3:5
Fischer–Tropsch synthesis using Co and Co-Ru bifunctional nanocatalyst supported on carbon nanotube prepared via chemical reduction method显示文摘We used a chemical reduction method to synthesize the catalysts of cobalt(Co) and cobalt-ruthenium(Co-Ru) bifunctional supported on carbon nanotubes(CNTs) for Fischer–Tropsch synthesis(FTS) in a fixedbed reactor. These Co-Ru/CNTs catalysts were synthesized with various weight proportions of Ru/Co(0.1 to 0.4 wt%) with keeping a fixed amount of cobalt(10 wt%). Moreover, for comparison purpose, CNTs supported Co-and Co(Ru)-based catalysts at same loading as the above catalysts were prepared through impregnation method. We characterize the present catalysts through the various techniques such as Energy–dispersive X-ray(EDX), Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET),Hydrogen-Temperature-Programmed Reduction(H_2-TPR), Hydrogen-Temperature-Programmed Desorption(H_2-TPD) and O_2 titration. Thus using the chemical reduction method, a narrow particle size distribution was obtained so that the small cobalt particles were confined inside the CNTs. The Co-based catalyst prepared by impregnation was compared with the Co-Ru catalysts at the same loading. The results demonstrated that the use of chemical reduction method led to decrease the average Co oxide cluster size to8.7 nm so that the reduction enhanced about 24% and stabilized an earlier time at the stream. Among the prepared catalysts, the results indicated that the Co-Ru/CNTs catalysts demonstrated high catalytic activity with the highest long-chain hydrocarbons(C_(5+)), selectivity up to 74.76%, which was higher than those we obtained by the Co-Ru/γ-Al_2O_3(61._20%), Co/CNTs(43.68%) and Co/γ-Al_2O_3(37.69%). At the same time, comparing with those catalyst synthesized by impregnation, the use of chemical reduction led to enhancement of the C_(5+) selectivity from 59.30% to 68.83% and increment in FTS rate about 11% for the Co-Ru/CNTs catalyst.Jafar Shariati Ali Haghtalab Amir Mosayebi 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,1:2

Effects of vibration in desert area caused by moving trains显示文摘The ballast layer, filled with fine particles like blown sand,is one of the important problems of ballasted railway tracks in desert areas.Blown sand,as a contaminator of ballast layer, increases track stiffness and may cause serious damage to sleepers, pads, rails, and vehicles. In this paper, the effects of increasing track stiffness due to windy sands in the ballast layer and the train induced vibrations due to this phenomenon were studied.Based on field studies in a desert area in Iran,a two-dimensional finite/infinite element model for a railway track with plane strain condition was analyzed using the software ABAQUS,and the track vibrations were examined by changing the values of stiffness of ballast layer.Vibrations caused by the load of train at different distances from the cross-section of track were investigated, and the values of vertical vibration displacement, velocity, and acceleration were calculated. Results show that acceleration values of vertical vibration increase with the increasing of ballast layer stiffness caused by the filling of sand, while the vertical vibration velocity of track and the induced ground displacement decrease. The farther the distance from the source of vibration, the less the displacement, velocity, and acceleration. In addition, the methods for reducing train-induced vibrations were introduced.Jabbar-Ali ZAKERI Morteza ESMAEILI Seyedali MOSAYEBI Rauf ABBASI 2012Journal of Modern Transportation2012,20,1:1

Effect of changing mesopic and photopic light conditions on visual functions显示文摘AIM:To determine the effects of change in light conditions on refractive error and visual functions including visual acuity, stereopsis and contrast sensitivity.METHODS:This cross-sectional study was conducted in the optometry clinic of the Shahid Beheshti School of Rehabilitation on 48 students in 2021-2022.All of them had eye health and normal visual function and could have refractive errors or not.Light intensity of 4 lx was considered equivalent to photopic light condition and light intensity of 1 lx was considered to be equivalent to mesopic light condition. The amount of refractive error was checked by auto refractometer and its changes in mesopic light condition were subjectively measured. Also, visual acuity, stereopsis and contrast sensitivity(in five spatial frequencies of 1.5,3,6,12,and 18 cycles per degree),were measured first in photopic light condition and then in mesopic light condition,by Snellen control vision chart, stereo butterfly test and the M&S technology monitor test respectively.RESULTS:In the 48 student subjects with an average age of 22.69±3.56y,mean of refractive error as sphere equivalent, visual acuity and stereopsis were-1.25±1.74 diopters,0 logMAR,44.37±13.03 seconds of arc, respectively in photopic light condition while in mesopic light was equal to-1.56±1.75 diopters,0.12±0.09 logMAR and 50.62±33.35 seconds of arc, respectively. The mean of contrast sensitivity measured at spatial frequencies of 1.5,3,6,12,and 18 cycles per degree in photopic condition was equal to 2.38±0.04,2.37±0.07,2.04±0.21,1.27±0.32,0.82±0.27 logarithm of contrast sensitivity, respectively and in mesopic lighting condition was equal to 2.34±0.12,2.30±0.16,1.84±0.28,1.02±0.28,0.63±0.24 logarithm of contrast sensitivity, respectively.Statistical analysis showed a significant difference between the two lighting conditions in all evaluated variables[refractive error(P<0.001),visual acuity(P<0.001),stereopsis(P=0.008)and contrast sensitivity(P<0.001)].CONCLUSION:The refractive error of the student subjects in mesopic light condition change towards myopia, and its amount is clinically significant. Also, the examination and comparison of the factors of visual acuity, stereopsis and contrast sensitivity in these two lighting conditions show that the decrease in brightness level to the mesopic level causes a decrease in the aforementioned visual functions.Fatemeh Mosayebi Seyyed Mehdi Tabatabaee Haleh Kangari Saeed Rahmani 2023International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2023,16,8:0
Fast-dissolving antioxidant nanofibers based on Spirulina protein concentrate and gelatin developed using needleless electrospinning显示文摘Spirulina is a microalga that is well-known for its high protein content and biological activities directly related to its antioxidant capacity. The objective of this study was to produce fast-dissolving antioxidant nanofibers based on Spirulina protein concentrate (SPC) and gelatin using needleless electrospinning technique. The effect of mixing ratios of SPC (10% w/w) and gelatin (20% w/w) on the viscosity, electrical conductivity and surface tension of electrospinning solutions as well as diameter and morphology of resulting nanofibers was investigated.Increasing the SPC level in the solution blends resulted in a decrease in apparent viscosity and electrical conductivity and an almost stable trend in surface tension (29.25–32.19 mN/m) that led to diminish of diameter of the nanofibers.Scanning electron microscopy images showed that SPC/gelatin ratio of 40:60 led to the production of uniform and bead-free nanofibers with a relatively smaller average diameter (208.7 ± 46.5 nm).Atomic force microscopy images indicated mesh-like,fibrillary,and bead-free structures.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy verified the formation of composite nanofibers and intermolecular interactions between both proteins.X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis showed higher amorphous structure and stability of produced SPC/gelatin nanofibers in comparison to pure materials which was favorable for formation of stable fast-dissolving fibers. Results of DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities showed that the antioxidant activity of composite nanofibers significantly improved with increasing SPC mixing ratio (p < 0.05).The dissolution test demonstrated that SPC/gelatin nanofibers can be rapidly dissolved in aqueous medium within 2 s.Finally, the results indicated that the electrospun SPC/gelatin nanofibers could be potentially used for nutraceutical delivery in food and packaging applications under high humidity.Vahid Mosayebi Milad Fathi Mohammad Shahedi Nafiseh Soltanizadeh Zahra Emam-Djomeh 2022Food Bioscience2022,47,3:0
Effect of synthesis solution pH of Co/γ-Al_2O_3 catalyst on its catalytic properties for methane conversion to syngas显示文摘The cobalt nanoparticles over γ-Al_2O_3 support were prepared via chemical reduction of CoCl_2·6H_2O using NaBH_4 with various values of pH in the range of 11. 92-13. 80. Synthesized catalysts were studied through X-ray diffraction( XRD),N_2 adsorption/desorption( BET),H_2-temperature programmed reduction( H_2-TPR),H_2-chemisorption,O_2 pulse titration and temperature programmed oxidation( TPO) methods. Obtained results exhibited the synthesis solution pH showed a significant influence on the activity and selectivity in partial oxidation of methane reaction. The methane conversion,CO selectivity and H_2 yield were enhanced by increasing of the synthesis solution pH. Compared to other catalysts, the catalyst that synthesized at pH of 13.80,showed a superior ability in syngas production with a H_2/CO ratio of near 2 and also a proper stability against deactivation during the partial oxidation of methane.Amir Mosayebi Reza Abedini 2018燃料化学学报2018,46,3:0
Developing grey-box model to diagnose asphaltene stability in crude oils: Application of refractive index显示文摘Asphaltene precipitation can cause serious problems in petroleum industry while diagnosing the asphaltene stability conditions in crude oil system is still a challenge and has been subject of many investigations. To monitor and diagnose asphaltene stability, high performance intelligent approaches based bio-inspired science like artificial neural network which have been optimized by various optimization techniques have been carried out.The main purpose of the implemented optimization algorithms is to decide high accurate interconnected weights of proposed neural network model. The proposed intelligent approaches are examined by using extensive experimental data reported in open literature. Moreover,to highlight robustness and precision of the addressed approaches, two different regression models have been developed and results obtained from the aforementioned intelligent models and regression approaches are compared with the corresponding refractive index data measured in laboratory.Based on the results, hybrid of genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization have high performance and average relative absolute deviation between the model outputs and the relevant experimental data was found to be less than 0.2%.Routs from this work indicate that implication of HGAPSO-ANN in monitoring refractive index can lead to more reliable estimation of addressed issue which can lead to design of more reliable phase behavior simulation and further plans of oil production.Mahdi Zeinali Hasanvand Mohammad Ali Ahmadi Reza Mosayebi Behbahani Farzaneh Feyzi 2016Petroleum2016,2,4:0
