2Warpage and Shrinkage Optimization of Injection-Molded Plastic Spoon Parts for Biodegradable Polymers Using Taguchi, ANOVA and Artificial Neural Network Methods显示文摘In this study, it is attempted to give an insight into the injection processability of three self-prepared polymers from A to Z. This work presents material analysis, injection molding simulation, design of experiments alongside considering all interaction effects of controlling parameters carefully for green biodegradable polymeric systems, including polylactic acid(PLA), polylactic acid-thermoplastic polyurethane(PLA-TPU) and polylactic acid-thermoplastic starch(PLA-TPS). The experiments were carried out using injection molding simulation software Autodesk Moldflow?in order to minimize warpage and volumetric shrinkage for each of the mentioned systems. The analysis was conducted by changing five significant processing parameters, including coolant temperature, packing time, packing pressure, mold temperature and melt temperature. Taguchi's L27(35) orthogonal array was selected as an efficient method for design of simulations in order to consider the interaction effects of the parameters and reduce spurious simulations. Meanwhile, artificial neural network(ANN) was also used for pattern recognition and optimization through modifying the processing conditions. The Taguchi coupled analysis of variance(ANOVA) and ANN analysis resulted in definition of optimum levels for each factor by two completely different methods. According to the results, melting temperature, coolant temperature and packing time had significant influence on the shrinkage and warpage. The ANN optimal level selection for minimization of shrinkage and/or warpage is in good agreement with ANOVA optimal level selection results. 3Hepatitis B and C virus-induced hepatitis: Apoptosis, autophagy, and unfolded protein response显示文摘AIM: To investigate the co-incidence of apoptosis, autophagy, and unfolded protein response(UPR) in hepatitis B(HBV) and C(HCV) infected hepatocytes.METHODS: We performed immunofluorescence confocal microscopy on 10 liver biopsies from HBV and HCV patients and tissue microarrays of HBV positive liver samples. We used specific antibodies for LC3β, cleaved caspase-3, BIP(GRP78), and XBP1 to detect autophagy, apoptosis and UPR, respectively. AntiHCV NS3 and anti-HBs antibodies were also used to confirm infection. We performed triple blind counting of events to determine the co-incidence of autophagy(LC3β punctuate), apoptosis(cleaved caspase-3), and unfolded protein response(GRP78) with HBV and HCV infection in hepatocytes. All statistical analyses were performed using SPSS software for Windows(Version 16 SPSS Inc, Chicago, IL, United States). P-values < 0.05 were considered statistically significant. Statistical analyses were performed with Mann-Whitney test to compare incidence rates for autophagy, apoptosis, and UPR in HBV- and HCV-infected cells and adjacent noninfected cells.RESULTS: Our results showed that infection of hepatocytes with either HBV and HCV induces significant increase(P < 0.001) in apoptosis(cleavage of caspase-3), autophagy(LC3β punctate), and UPR(increase in GRP78 expression) in the HCV- and HBVinfected cells, as compared to non-infected cells of the same biopsy sections. Our tissue microarray immunohistochemical expression analysis of LC3β in HBV^(Neg) and HBV^(Pos) revealed that majority of HBVinfected hepatocytes display strong positive stainingfor LC3β. Interestingly, although XBP splicing in HBVinfected cells was significantly higher(P < 0.05), our analyses show a slight increase of XBP splicing was in HCV-infected cells(P > 0.05). Furthermore, our evaluation of patients with HBV and HCV infection based on stage and grade of the liver diseases revealed no correlation between these pathological findings and induction of apoptosis, autophagy, and UPR.CONCLUSION: The results of this study indicate that HCV and HBV infection activates apoptosis, autophagy and UPR, but slightly differently by each virus. 4NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF FLOW OVER TWO CIRCULAR CYLINDERS IN TANDEM ARRANGEMENT显示文摘In this article,the 2-D unsteady viscous flow around two circular cylinders in a tandem arrangement is numerically simulated in order to study the characteristics of the flow in both laminar and turbulent regimes.The method applied alternatively is based on the finite volume method on a Cartesian-staggered grid.The great source term technique is employed to identify the cylinders placed in the flow field.To apply the boundary conditions,the ghost-cell technique is used.The implemented computational method is firstly validated through simulation of laminar and turbulent flows around a fixed circular cylinder.Finally,the flow around two circular cylinders in a tandem arrangement is simulated and analyzed.The flow visualization parameters,the Strouhal numbers,and drag and lift coefficients are comprehensively presented and compared for different cases in order to reveal the effect of the Reynolds number and gap spacing on the behavior of the flow.The obtained results have shown two completely distinct flow characteristics in laminar and turbulent regimes.DEHKORDI Behzad Ghadiri MOGHADDAM Hesam Sarvghad JAFARI Hamed Houri 2011Journal of Hydrodynamics2011,23,1:11
5Effects of nanobubble and hydrodynamic parameters on coarse quartz flotation显示文摘Quartz, the second most abundant mineral in the earth's crust, is a gangue mineral in practically every flotation process. Coarse quartz flotation has been a long standing problem in various mineral processing plants to reduce milling cost and increase valuable mineral recovery. Based on this, the effects of nanobubbles(NBs) and hydrodynamic parameters on coarse quartz particle flotation were systematically investigated. Mechanical flotation experiments were carried out using the 7 cm and 9 cm diameter impellers in order to produce different hydrodynamic conditions. 900–1300 rpm impeller speeds were used for the 7 cm diameter impeller and 554–786 rpm for the 9 cm diameter impeller. The results show that the presence of NBs increased the flotation recovery of à425 + 106 lm quartz by up to 21%. For the7 cm diameter impeller, the maximum flotation recoveries of 86.4% and 98% were obtained in the absence and presence of NBs at Reynolds number(Re) of 81,000 and 66,000, respectively. For the 9 cm diameter impeller, the maximum recoveries of 86.3% and 97.5% were obtained in the absence and presence of NBs at Re of 90,000 and 75,000, respectively. 7Assessment of the anterior chamber parameters after laser iridotomy in primary angle close suspect using Pentacam and gonioscopy显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the changes in the anterior segment parameters of the subjects with primary angle closure suspect(PACS) before and after laser iridotomy(LI) using the Pentacam and gonioscopy. METHODS:Forty-eight eyes of 48 PACS were included.Anterior chamber angle(ACA),central anterior chamber depth(ACD),anterior chamber volume(ACV) and central corneal thickness(CCT) were recorded from the Pentacam before and one month after LI.ACA was graded according to Shaffer classification using Goldmann gonioscopy.RESULTS:ACA increased significantly from 25.59±4.41 to 26.46±4.33 degrees(P=0.009) and ACV changed from 85.97±16.07mm3to 99.25±15.83mm3(P=0.000).The changes in ACD,CCT and intraocular pressure were non-significant(P>0.05).Gonioscopy showed significant widening of the Shaffer angle in 4 quadrants(P<0.001).CONCLUSION:Pentacam can serve as the objective instrument in assessing the efficacy of LI.Alireza Esmaeili Behzad Barazandeh Sina Ahmadi Alireza Haghi Seyed Mahdi Ahmadi Hosseini Fereshteh Abolbashari 2013International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2013,6,5:8

9高压直流换流站穿墙套管的局部放电在线测量(英文)显示文摘An online partial discharge(PD) measurement performed on a high voltage direct current(HVDC) wall bushing successfully identified the presence of internal discharges.The wall bushing is a sulfur hexafluoride gas-insulated bushing,rated for 500 kV dc and terminated on a thyristor-controlled HVDC converter bridge.The measurement of PD within the HVDC station environment is particularly challenging due to the high levels of electromagnetic noise caused by thyristor switching events and external air-corona from the neighboring high-voltage equipment.An additional challenge is the''mixed'voltage stress on the bushing insulation,which has both ac and dc high-voltage components.There are also fast transients during the firing of thyristors in the HVDC conversion process that cause added stress to the insulation.As a result,the analysis and interpretation of PD data for HVDC equipment is more complex;PD pulses may occur in response to the ac,dc,or switching transient voltage stresses.In this paper,an online PD measurement strategy for noise filtering and isolation of PD sources within the bushing are discussed.The PD measurement data is plotted on a phase-resolved diagram where the line supply power cord voltage was used as a reference. The phase-resolved diagram appears to suggest that the fast transients,caused during switching,trigger some PD events.Measurements were also performed with the aid of a modern PD measurement instrument having noise separation capabilities.The findings from the online PD measurements are verified with physical evidence,found after the bushing was removed from service,suggested internal PD had occurred inside the bushing.Nathan D.Jacob William M.McDermid Behzad Kordi 2011高电压技术2011,37,11:8
10Effect of post-harvest UV-C irradiation and calcium chloride on enzymatic activity and decay of tomato(Lycopersicon esculentum L.)fruit during storage显示文摘Tomato is one of the extensively consumed vegetable crops worldwide. The regular consumption of tomato decreases the incidence of chronic degenerative diseases such as certain types of cancer and cardiovascular diseases. The objective of this study was to find an appropriate method that not only reduces tomatoes decay, but also maintains its post-harvest quality. A factorial experiment based on randomized complete block design with three replications was conducted to evaluate effects of ultraviolet(UV)-C and CaCl_2 applications on tomato during storage. The traits studied included ethylene, polygalacturonase(PG) activity, pectin methyl esterase(PME) activity, firmness, total phenol content, and fungal-induced decay were measured weekly during 35 days of storage. Both UV-C and CaCl_2 treatments had positive effects on tomato quality as compared to control treatment. The 3 and 4.5 k J m^(-2) levels of UV-C and 2% CaCl_2 had positive effects on quality characteristics, respectivly. Fruits treated by UV-C and CaCl_2 had higher phenol and firmness, and less PME activity, PG activity, ethylene production, and decay than the control fruits. In conclusion, increasing in storage duration significantly affected the fruits quality by increasing in ethylene, PME activity, PG activity, decay and decreasing the phenol content and firmness. 11NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF FLOW OVER TWO SIDE-BY-SIDE CIRCULAR CYLINDERS显示文摘In the present paper, the unsteady, viscous, incompressible and 2-D flow around two side-by-side circular cylinders was simulated using a Cartesian-staggered grid finite volume based method. A great-source term technique was employed to identify the solid bodies (cylinders) located in the flow field and boundary conditions were enforced by applying the ghost-cell technique. Finally, the characteristics of the flow around two side-by-side cylinders were comprehensively obtained through several computational simulations. The computational simulations were performed for different transverse gap ratios (1.5≤T/D≤4) in laminar (Re=100,200) and turbulent (Re=104) regimes, where T and D are the distance between the centers of cylinders and the diameter of cylinders, respectively. The Reynolds number is based on the diameter of cylinders,D. The pressure field and vorticity distributions along with the associated streamlines and the time histories of hydrodynamic forces were also calculated and analyzed for different gap ratios. Generally, different flow patterns were observed as the gap ratio and Reynolds number varied. 12Hydrophobic silica nanoparticle-stabilized invert emulsion as drilling fluid for deep drilling显示文摘An oil-based drilling fluid should be stable and tolerant to high temperatures for use in deep drilling. An invert emulsion of water in oil is a good choice as an oilbased drilling fluid which is a mixture of a solid phase and two immiscible liquid phases stabilized by a polymeric surfactant. In deep drilling, due to high temperatures, the polymeric surfactant degrades and a phase separation occurs. Here, octadecyltrimethoxysilane-modified silica nanoparticles were used to form a stable invert emulsion of water in oil for the drilling fluid model which resulted in a milky fluid with the formation of 60 μm water droplets. In addition, rheological study showed that using hydrophobic silica nanoparticles resulted in a stable water in oil invert emulsion with desired properties for a drilling fluid that can be modified by adjusting the nanoparticle nature and content. 13Investigation of rock salt layer creep and its effects on casing collapse显示文摘Casing collapse is one of the costly incidents in the oil industry. In the oil fields of southwest Iran, most casing collapses have occurred in Gachsaran formation, and the halite rock salt layer in this formation may be the main cause for these incidents because of its peculiar creep behavior. In this research, triaxial creep experiments have been conducted on Gachsaran salt samples under various temperatures and differential stresses. The main purpose was to determine the creep characteristics of Gachsaran rock salt,and to examine the role of creep in several casing collapses that occurred in this formation. Results indicated that the halite rock salt of Gachsaran formation basically obeys the power law;however, its creep parameters are quite different from other halite rocks elsewhere. The time-dependent creep of Gachsaran rock salt exhibits strong sensitivity to temperature change;however, its sensitivity to variation of differential stress is rather low. 14Optimization of energy consumption and environmental impacts of chickpea production using data envelopment analysis(DEA)and multi objective genetic algorithm(MOGA)approaches显示文摘Energy consumption in agricultural products and its environmental damages has increased in recent centuries.Life cycle assessment(LCA)has been introduced as a suitable tool for evaluation environmental impacts related to a product over its life cycle.In this study,optimization of energy consumption and environmental impacts of chickpea production was conducted using data envelopment analysis(DEA)and multi objective genetic algorithm(MOGA)techniques.Data were collected from 110 chickpea production enterprises using a face to face questionnaire in the cropping season of 2014-2015.The results of optimization revealed that,when applying MOGA,optimum energy requirement for chickpea production was significantly lower compared to application of DEA technique;so that,total energy requirement in optimum situation was found to be 31511.72 and 27570.61 MJ ha^-1 by using DEA and MOGA techniques,respectively;showing a reduction by 5.11%and 17%relative to current situation of energy consumption.Optimization of environmental impacts by application of MOGA resulted in reduction of acidification potential(ACP),eutrophication potential(EUP),global warming potential(GWP),human toxicity potential(HTP)and terrestrial ecotoxicity potential(TEP)by 29%,23%,10%,6%and 36%,respectively.MOGAwas capable of reducing the energy consumption from machinery,farmyard manure(FYM)diesel fuel and nitrogen fertilizer(the mostly contributed inputs to the environmental emissions)by 59%,28.5%,24.58%and 11.24%,respectively.Overall,the MOGA technique showed a superior performance relative to DEA approach for optimizing energy inputs and reducing environmental impacts of chickpea production system.Behzad Elhami Asadollah Akram Majid Khanali 2016Information Processing in Agriculture2016,3,3:6

17Selective methanation of carbon monoxide in hydrogen rich stream over Ni/CeO_2 nanocatalysts显示文摘In the present work, selective methanation of carbon monoxide in hydrogen rich stream was investigated over Ni/CeO2 nanocatalysts. The obtained results revealed that increasing in nickel loading decreased the BET surface area, pore volume and nickel dispersion. The 25% Ni/CeO2 with a NiO crystal size of 12 nm exhibited the highest activity in CO methanation reaction and reached to maximum CO conversion and CH4 selectivity at temperatures above 230 ℃. 18Combined application of Artificial Neural Networks and life cycle assessment in lentil farming in Iran显示文摘In this study,an Artificial Neural Network(ANN)was applied to model yield and environmental emissions from lentil cultivation in Esfahan province of Iran.Data was gathered from lentil farmers using face to face questionnaire method during 2014–2015 cropping season.Life cycle assessment(LCA)was applied to investigate the environmental impact categories associated with lentil production.Based on the results,total energy input,energy output to input ratio and energy productivity were determined to be 32,970.10 MJ ha1,0.902 and 0.06 kg MJ1,respectively.The greatest amount of energy consumption was attributed to chemical fertilizer(42.76%).Environmental analysis indicated that the acidification potential was higher than other environmental impact categories in lentil production system.Also results showed that the production of agricultural machinery was the main hotspot in abiotic depletion,eutrophication,global warming,human toxicity,fresh water aquatic ecotoxicity,marine aquatic ecotoxicity and terrestrial ecotoxicity impact categories,while direct emissions associated with lentil cultivation was the main hotspot in acidification potential and photochemical oxidation potential.In addition,diesel fuel was the main hotspot only in ozone layer depletion.The ANN model with 9-10-6-11 structure was identified as the most appropriate network for predicting yield and related environmental impact categories of lentil cultivation.Overall,the results of sensitivity analysis revealed that farmyard manure had the greatest effect on the most of the environmental impacts,while machinery was the most affecting parameter on the yield of the crop.Behzad Elhami Majid Khanali Asadollah Akram 2017Information Processing in Agriculture2017,4,1:6
19Estimation of froth flotation recovery and collision probability based on operational parameters using an artificial neural network显示文摘An artificial neural network and regression procedures were used to predict the recovery and collision probability of quartz flotation concentrate in different operational conditions. Flotation parameters, such as dimensionless numbers (Froude, Reynolds, and Weber), particle size, air flow rate, bubble diameter, and bubble rise velocity, were used as inputs to both methods. The linear regression method shows that the relationships between flotation parameters and the recovery and collision probability of flotation can achieve correlation coefficients (R2) of 0.54 and 0.87, respectively. A feed-forward artificial neural network with 3-3-3-2 arrangement is able to simultaneously estimate the recovery and collision probability as the outputs. In testing stages, the quite satisfactory correlation coefficient of 0.98 was achieved for both outputs. 20抗菌剂效果和 Zataria multiflora Boiss 的香精油的物理化学的性质显示文摘 <正>Objective:To evaluate the antibacterial effect and physicochemical properties of essential oil of Zataria multiflora Boiss.Methods:Antibacterial activity of essential oil of Zataria multiflora Boiss was assessed by agar disc diffusion and minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC) was tested by E test.Results:The essential oil of Zataria multiflora Boiss was effective on pathogenic bacteria particularly Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus).The MIC values of the target cultures ranged from 0.39 mg/mL to 1.56 mg/mL.The physicochemical properties like effects of pH, temperature,detergents,and enzymes on the activity of essential oil from Zataria multiflora Boiss were also determined.The essential oil was quite stable to temperature as tested against 5. aureus and Escherichia coli(E.coli).The essential oil was very stable over a wide range of pH. The antibacterial activity of essential oil was insensitive to various protein-denaturing detergents (Such as Tween 80,Tween 20,Triton 100,etc.) and enzymes(namely proteinase K,trypsin, lipase,and lysosyme).Conclusions:A potential use of the essential oil from Zataria multiflora Boiss is suggested.More studies including further purification,mass spectra,nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) and evaluation of toxicity are needed for confirmation of this suggestion.Mansour Amin Enayat Kalantar Neda Mohammad-Saeid Behzad Ahsan 2010Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2010,3,6:5
