1Numerical analysis for cooling effect of open boundary ripped-rock embankment on Qinghai-Tibetan railway显示文摘The heat convection of fluid inside the ballast layer and ripped-rock layer, which are re- garded as porous media in railway embankment, is a process of heat and mass transfer. At present, the ripped-rock embankment, as a new type of embankment structure, has widely been used in the construction of Qinghai-Tibetan railway. However, because its ripped-rock layer is almost open in two bilateral boundaries and closed at top and bottom, and air can flow into/out of the ballast layer and ripped-rock layer, the convection and transfer heat patterns are very complicated in the embankment. Therefore, based on the temperature and geology conditions of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, a nu- merical approach of the unsteady two-dimensional continuity, momentum (non-Darcy flow) and en- ergy equations of heat convection for incompressible fluid in porous media is provided to analyze the velocity and temperature characteristics of the ripped-rock embankment with different embankment heights under open boundary condition for the coming 50 years in this paper. The calculated results indicate that, due to the influence of the outside wind, the convective heat transfer mainly relies on the forced convection in the open ripped-rock embankment. Even if the air temperature will be warmed up by 2.6℃ in the coming 50 years, it still has a better cooling effect on the underlying soils and a low temperature frozen-soil core is formed in the permafrost below it if the embankment is constructed in the regions whose present mean annual air temperature is ?4.0℃. Furthermore, the cooling effect of high ripped-rock embankment is better than that of low embankment. This is because the wider bot- tom of high embankment has a more influence dimension on the underlying frozen soil. However, cardinal winds on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau disturb its convection pattern, so that an asymmetric temperature distribution occurs under high embankment and it is possible to induce a transverse un- even deformation of embankment, but no similar situation occurs under low embankment. 2Injectable conductive gelatin methacrylate/oxidized dextran hydrogel encapsulating umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells for myocardial infarction treatment显示文摘Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(UCMSCs)transplantation has been proposed as a promising treatment modality for myocardial infarction(MI),but the low retention rate remains a considerable challenge.Injectable natural polymer hydrogels with conductivity ability are highly desirable as cell delivery vehicles to repair infarct myocardium and restore the cardiac function.In this work,we developed a hydrogel system based on gelatin methacrylate(GelMA)and oxidized dextran(ODEX)as cell delivery vehicles for MI.And dopamine could be used as a reductant of graphene oxide(GO)to form reductive GO(rGO).By adjusting the amount of rGO,the conductivity of hydrogels with 0.5 mg/mL rGO concentration(≈10^(-4)S/cm)was similar to that of natural heart tissue.In vitro cell experiments showed that the prepared hydrogels had excellent biocompatibility and cell delivery ability of UCMSCs.More importantly,GelMA-O5/rGO hydrogel could promote UCMSCs growth and proliferation,improve the myocardial differentiation ability of UCMSCs,and up-regulate the expression of cTnI and Cx43.Further in vivo experiments demonstrated that GelMA-O5/rGO/UCMSCs Hydrogel could significantly improve the ejection fraction(EF)of rats and significantly reduce myocardial infarct area compared to PBS group,promote the survival of UCMSCs,enhance the expression level of cTnI and Cx43,and decrease the expression level of caspase-3.The findings of this study suggested that the injectable conductive GelMA-O5/rGO hydrogel encapsulating UCMSCs could improve damaged myocardial tissue and reconstruct myocardial function,which will be a promising therapeutic strategy for cardiac repair.Shuoji Zhu Changjiang Yu Nanbo Liu Mingyi Zhao Zerui Chen Jian Liu Ge Li Huanlei Huang Huiming Guo Tucheng Sun Jimei Chen Jian Zhuang Ping Zhu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,7:4

6Squeezing More Past Knowledge for Online Class-Incremental Continual Learning显示文摘Continual learning(CL)studies the problem of learning to accumulate knowledge over time from a stream of data.A crucial challenge is that neural networks suffer from performance degradation on previously seen data,known as catastrophic forgetting,due to allowing parameter sharing.In this work,we consider a more practical online class-incremental CL setting,where the model learns new samples in an online manner and may continuously experience new classes.Moreover,prior knowledge is unavailable during training and evaluation.Existing works usually explore sample usages from a single dimension,which ignores a lot of valuable supervisory information.To better tackle the setting,we propose a novel replay-based CL method,which leverages multi-level representations produced by the intermediate process of training samples for replay and strengthens supervision to consolidate previous knowledge.Specifically,besides the previous raw samples,we store the corresponding logits and features in the memory.Furthermore,to imitate the prediction of the past model,we construct extra constraints by leveraging multi-level information stored in the memory.With the same number of samples for replay,our method can use more past knowledge to prevent interference.We conduct extensive evaluations on several popular CL datasets,and experiments show that our method consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods with various sizes of episodic memory.We further provide a detailed analysis of these results and demonstrate that our method is more viable in practical scenarios.Da Yu Mingyi Zhang Mantian Li Fusheng Zha Junge Zhang Lining Sun Kaiqi Huang 2023IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2023,10,3:1

8Sex-biased gene discovery from the gonadal transcriptomes of the large yellow croaker(Larimichthys crocea)显示文摘The investigation of sex determination in fish is not only of great scientific value,but also has important practical significance,especially in fishes grown in aquaculture exhibiting obvious growth-related sexual dimorphism,such as the large yellow croaker(Larimichthys crocea).While growth of the female large yellow croaker is faster than that of the male,little information exists on the mechanisms that drive the differentiation of the testis and ovary in this species.In this study,the gene expression profiles of large yellow croaker testis and ovary were analysed using RNA-Seq technology.A total of 222 million reads were mapped to the reference genome(89.80%).The differential gene expression analysis identified 13 genes specifically expressed in ovary and 897 specific to testis.Among these,were candidate sex determining genes,such as Dmrt1,Gsdf,Sox9,Amh.This study explored gene expression profiles in large yellow croaker gonads at the transcriptome level by RNA-Seq technology.We found many DEGs related to the development of each specific organ,including the candidate testis differentiation genes Dmrt1,Gsdf,Sox9,Sox3,Amh and ovary differentiation gene Foxl2 by analogy with other fish species,providing essential foundation clarifying the molecular mechanism involved in early sex differentiation.Junzhu Xiao Kuan Cao Yu Zou Shijun Xiao Zhiyong Wang Mingyi Cai 2019Aquaculture and Fisheries2019,4,1:1

13Biological Characterization and Whole Genome Sequencing of a Genotype VII Newcastle Disease Virus Strain显示文摘[Objective] The aim of this paper was to study the genotype, pathogenicity and nucleotide difference between Newcastle disease virus(NDV) isolates and traditional NDV vaccine strain(La Sota). [Method] A suspected NDV strain was isolated from a chicken farm. The isolate was preliminarily determined by HA and HI tests. A pair of primers was designed based on the partial sequence of NDV F gene published in GenBank(accession No. JF950510.1). F gene was amplified by RT-PCR, cloned and sequenced. The sequencing result was compared with the F gene sequences published in GenBank, and the phylogenetic tree was constructed to analyze the genotypes. The pathogenicity of the virus was determined by mean death time(MDT) of chicken embryos, intracerebral pathogenicity index(ICPI) of one-day-old chicks and intravenous pathogenicity index(IVPI) of six-week-old chickens, respectively. Based on the NDV genome sequence published in GenBank(accession No. JF950510.1), nine pairs of primers were designed to amplify the genome sequence of the isolate, and its structure was analyzed. [Result] The length of F gene was about 500 bp, and a NDV strain of genotype VII was isolated. The MDT, ICPI and IVPI were 52.8 h, 1.675 and 2.46, respectively, indicating the isolate was a virulent strain. The whole genome sequence analysis results showed that the full genome length of the isolate was 15 192 bp, which had 6 more nu-cleotides than that of La Sota strain, and the homology between the two strains was 82.8%. 14An assessment of Arctic cloud water paths in atmospheric reanalyses显示文摘The role of Arctic clouds in the recent rapid Arctic warming has attracted much attention.However,Arctic cloud water paths(CWPs)from reanalysis datasets have not been well evaluated.This study evaluated the CWPs as well as LWPs(cloud liquid water paths)and IWPs(cloud ice water paths)from five reanalysis datasets(MERRA-2,MERRA,ERA-Interim,JRA-55,and ERA5)against the COSP(Cloud Feedback Model Intercomparison Project Observations Simulator Package)output for MODIS from the MERRA-2 CSP(COSP satellite simulator)collection(defined as M2Modis in short).Averaged over 1980-2015 and over the Arctic region(north of 60°N),the mean CWPs of these five datasets range from 49.5 g/m^(2)(MERRA)to 82.7 g/m^(2)(ERA-Interim),much smaller than that from M2Modis(140.0 g/m^(2)).However,the spatial distributions of CWPs,show similar patterns among these reanalyses,with relatively small values over Greenland and large values over the North Atlantic.Consistent with M2Modis,these reanalyses show larger LWPs than IWPs,except for ERA-Interim.However,MERRA-2 and MERRA underestimate the ratio of IWPs to CWPs over the entire Arctic,while ERA-Interim and JRA-55 overestimate this ratio.ERA5 shows the best performance in terms of the ratio of IWPs to CWPs.All datasets exhibit larger CWPs and LWPs in summer than in winter.For M2Modis,IWPs hold seasonal variation similar with LWPs over the land but opposite over the ocean.Following the Arctic warming,the trends in LWPs and IWPs during 1980~2015 show that LWPs increase and IWPs decrease across all datasets,although not statistically significant.Correlation analysis suggests that all datasets have similar interannual variability.The study further found that the inclusion of re-evaporation processes increases the humidity in the atmosphere over the land and that a more realistic liquid/ice phase can be obtained by independently treating the liquid and ice water contents.Mingyi Gu Zhaomin Wang Jianfen Wei Xiaoyong Yu 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,3:0

16Construction of 3D/2D indium vanadate /graphite carbon nitride with nitrogen defects Z-scheme heterojunction for improving photocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction显示文摘Indium vanadate (InVO4 ) possesses excellent potential in photocatalytic carbon dioxide (CO_(2) ) reduction, but further modifications of reducing charge recombination and increasing active sites are still needed. Herein, InVO4 /g-C3 N4 (InVO-CN) heterojunction composite photocatalysts were prepared via in situ formation of InVO4 nanoparticles on the lamellar structure of graphite carbon nitride (g-C3 N4 ) containing nitrogen (N) defects. Among these composites, 30% InVO-CN showed the best photoreduction performance for CO_(2) at normal temperature and pressure without sacrificial agent (carbon monoxide, CO: 20.14 μmol g–1 h–1;methane, CH4 : 3.46 μmol g–1 h–1 ), which were 1.8 and 2.8 times higher than these of pure g-C3 N4 and InVO4 . The excellent performance could be attributed to the enhancement of CO_(2) adsorption, and most importantly, the enhanced charge carrier separation and reduction capacity induced by the formation of Z-scheme heterojunction between InVO4 and g-C3 N4 . 17KIF18A is a potential prognostic factor and promotes tumor progression in oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘The kinesin family member 18A protein was dysregulated in several human cancers and involved in cancer progression.However,the significance in oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma(OTSCC)has not been studied.The present study was intended to explore the functions of KIF18A in oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma.The immunohistochemistry(IHC)assay was performed to assess the relationships between the KIF18A protein expression level and clinical-pathological features of the patients.The biological functions of KIF18A in OTSCC cells were investigated by the experiments in vitro and in vivo.Based on immunohistochemistry,we found that KIF18A was correlated with the clinical-pathological features of OTSCC patients.High expression of KIF18A was associated with the lymph node metastasis,and clinical stages.In vitro experiments revealed that silencing of KIF18A significantly inhibited the expression of the proliferation and migration related proteins such as Ki67,proliferating cell nuclear antigen,matrix metalloproteinase-7 and matrix metalloproteinase-9,and thereby inhibiting the proliferation,migration and invasion of tumor cells.In vivo,knocking-down of KIF18A could inhibit the tumor growth in nude mice.In conclusion,we found KIF18A promoted tumor progression in vivo and in vitro and might become an effective target for the treatment of OTSCC.XIAOFEI LV XI YU JIE XU MINGYI WANG CHENG PENG 2022BIOCELL2022,46,5:0
