1Preliminary Results of In-situ Stress Measurements along the Longmenshan Fault Zone after the Wenchuan M_s 8.0 Earthquake显示文摘Four months after the Wenchuan M_s 8 earthquake in western Sichuan,China,in situ stress measurements were carried out along the Longmenshan fault zone with the purpose of obtaining stress parameters for earthquake hazard assessment.In-situ stresses were measured in three new boreholes by using overcoring with the piezomagnetic stress gauges for shallow depths and hydraulic fracturing for lower depths.The maximum horizontal stress in shallow depths(~20 m) is about 4.3 MPa,oriented N19°E,in the epicenter area at Yingxiu Town,about 9.7 MPa,oriented N51°W,at Baoxing County in the southwestern Longmenshan range,and about 2.6 MPa,oriented N39°E,near Kangding in the southernmost zone of the Longmenshan range.Hydraulic fracturing at borehole depths from 100 to 400 m shows a tendency towards increasing stress with depth.A comparison with the results measured before the Wenchuan earthquake along the Longmenshan zone and in the Tibetan Plateau demonstrates that the stress level remains relatively high in the southwestern segment of the Longmenshan range,and is still moderate in the epicenter zone.These results provide a key appraisal for future assessment of earthquake hazards of the Longmenshan fault zone and the aftershock occurrences of the Wenchuan earthquake.WU Manlu ZHANG Yueqiao LIAO Chunting CHEN Qunce MA Yinsheng WU Jinsheng YAN Junfeng OU Mingyi 2009Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2009,83,4:31
2The C_2H_2 -type Zinc Finger Protein ZFP182 is Involved in Abscisic Acid-Induced Antioxidant Defense in Rice显示文摘C2H2 -type zinc finger proteins (ZFPs) are thought to play important roles in modulating the responses of plants to drought, salinity and oxidative stress. However, direct evidence is lacking for the involvement of these ZFPs in abscisic acid (ABA)-induced antioxidant defense in plants. In this study, the role of the rice (Oryza sativa L. sub. japonica cv. Nipponbare) C 2 H 2 -type ZFP ZFP182 in ABA-induced antioxidant defense and the relationship between ZFP182 and two rice MAPKs, OsMPK1 and OsMPK5 in ABA signaling were investigated. ABA treatment induced the increases in the expression of ZFP182, OsMPK1 and OsMPK5, and the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) in rice leaves. The transient gene expression analysis and the transient RNA interference (RNAi) analysis in protoplasts showed that ZFP182, OsMPK1 and OsMPK5 are involved in ABA-induced up-regulation in the activities of SOD and APX. Besides, OsMPK1 and OsMPK5 were shown to be required for the up-regulation in the expression of ZFP182 in ABA signaling, but ZFP182 did not mediate the ABA-induced up-regulation in the expression of OsMPK1 and OsMPK5. 3A Novel Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Gene in Maize (Zea mays),ZmMPK3,is Involved in Response to Diverse Environmental Cues显示文摘In search for components of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades in maize (Zea mays) involved in response to abscisic acid (ABA) stimulus,a novel MAPK gene,ZmMPK3,from ABA-treated maize leaves cDNA was isolated and characterized.The full length of the ZmMPK3 gene is 1 520 bp and encodes a 376 amino acid protein with a predicted molecular mass of 43.5 kD and a pI of 5.83.ZmMPK3 contains all 11 MAPK conserved subdomains and the phosphorylation motif TEY.Amino acid sequence alignment revealed that ZmMPK3 shared high identity with group-A MAPK in plants.A time course (30–360 min) experiment using a variety of signal molecules and stresses revealed that the transcripts level of ZmMPK3 accumulated markedly and rapidly when maize seedlings were subjected to exogenous signaling molecules: ABA,H2O2,jasmonic acid and salicylic acid,various abiotic stimuli such as cold,drought,ultraviolet light,salinity,heavy metal and mechanical wounding.Its transcription was also found to be tissue-specific regulated.Here,we show that ABA and H2O2 induced a significant increase in the ZmMPK3 activity using immunoprecipitation and in-gel kinase assay.Furthermore,the results showed that the ZmMPK3 protein is localized mainly to the nucleus.These results suggest that the ZmMPK3 may play an important role in response to environmental stresses.Jinxiang Wang Haidong Ding Aying Zhang Fangfang Ma Jianmei Cao Mingyi Jiang 2010Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2010,52,5:16
4GPS/BDS/INS tightly coupled integration accuracy improvement using an improved adaptive interacting multiple model with classified measurement update显示文摘An Extended Kalman Filter(EKF) is commonly used to fuse raw Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) measurements and Inertial Navigation System(INS) derived measurements. However, the Conventional EKF(CEKF) suffers the problem for which the uncertainty of the statistical properties to dynamic and measurement models will degrade the performance.In this research, an Adaptive Interacting Multiple Model(AIMM) filter is developed to enhance performance. The soft-switching property of Interacting Multiple Model(IMM) algorithm allows the adaptation between two levels of process noise, namely lower and upper bounds of the process noise. In particular, the Sage adaptive filtering is applied to adapt the measurement covariance on line. In addition, a classified measurement update strategy is utilized, which updates the pseudorange and Doppler observations sequentially. A field experiment was conducted to validate the proposed algorithm, the pseudorange and Doppler observations from Global Positioning System(GPS) and Bei Dou Navigation Satellite System(BDS) were post-processed in differential mode.The results indicate that decimeter-level positioning accuracy is achievable with AIMM for GPS/INS and GPS/BDS/INS configurations, and the position accuracy is improved by 35.8%, 34.3% and 33.9% for north, east and height components, respectively, compared to the CEKF counterpartfor GPS/BDS/INS. 5Numerical analysis for cooling effect of open boundary ripped-rock embankment on Qinghai-Tibetan railway显示文摘The heat convection of fluid inside the ballast layer and ripped-rock layer, which are re- garded as porous media in railway embankment, is a process of heat and mass transfer. At present, the ripped-rock embankment, as a new type of embankment structure, has widely been used in the construction of Qinghai-Tibetan railway. However, because its ripped-rock layer is almost open in two bilateral boundaries and closed at top and bottom, and air can flow into/out of the ballast layer and ripped-rock layer, the convection and transfer heat patterns are very complicated in the embankment. Therefore, based on the temperature and geology conditions of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, a nu- merical approach of the unsteady two-dimensional continuity, momentum (non-Darcy flow) and en- ergy equations of heat convection for incompressible fluid in porous media is provided to analyze the velocity and temperature characteristics of the ripped-rock embankment with different embankment heights under open boundary condition for the coming 50 years in this paper. The calculated results indicate that, due to the influence of the outside wind, the convective heat transfer mainly relies on the forced convection in the open ripped-rock embankment. Even if the air temperature will be warmed up by 2.6℃ in the coming 50 years, it still has a better cooling effect on the underlying soils and a low temperature frozen-soil core is formed in the permafrost below it if the embankment is constructed in the regions whose present mean annual air temperature is ?4.0℃. Furthermore, the cooling effect of high ripped-rock embankment is better than that of low embankment. This is because the wider bot- tom of high embankment has a more influence dimension on the underlying frozen soil. However, cardinal winds on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau disturb its convection pattern, so that an asymmetric temperature distribution occurs under high embankment and it is possible to induce a transverse un- even deformation of embankment, but no similar situation occurs under low embankment. 6Nitric Oxide Reduces Hydrogen Peroxide Accumulation Involved in Water Stress-induced Subcellular Anti-oxidant Defense in Maize Plants显示文摘Nitric oxide (NO) is a bioactive molecule involved in many biological events, and has been reported as pro-oxidant as well as anti-oxidant in plants. In the present study, the sources of NO production under water stress, the role of NO in water stress-induced hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) accumulation and subcellular activities of anti-oxidant enzymes in leaves of maize (Zea mays L.) plants were investigated. Water stress induced defense increases in the generation of NO in maize mesphyll cells and the activity of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) in the cytosolic and microsomal fractions of maize leaves. Water stress-induced defense increases in the production of NO were blocked by pretreatments with inhibitors of NOS and nitrate reductase (NR), suggesting that NO is produced from NOS and NR in leaves of maize plants exposed to water stress. Water stress also induced increases in the activities of the chloroplastic and cytosolic anti-oxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD), ascorbate peroxidase (APX), and glutathione reductase (GR), and the increases in the activities of anti-oxidant enzymes were reduced by pretreatments with inhibitors of NOS and NR. Exogenous NO increases the activities of water stress-induced subcellular anti-oxidant enzymes, which decreases accumulation of H2O2. Our results suggest that NOS and NR are involved in water stress-induced NO production and NOS is the major source of NO. 7Salient Object Detection from Multi-spectral Remote Sensing Images with Deep Residual Network显示文摘alient object detection aims at identifying the visually interesting object regions that are consistent with human perception. Multispectral remote sensing images provide rich radiometric information in revealing the physical properties of the observed objects, which leads to great potential to perform salient object detection for remote sensing images. Conventional salient object detection methods often employ handcrafted features to predict saliency by evaluating the pixel-wise or superpixel-wise contrast. With the recent use of deep learning framework, in particular, fully convolutional neural networks, there has been profound progress in visual saliency detection. However, this success has not been extended to multispectral remote sensing images, and existing multispectral salient object detection methods are still mainly based on handcrafted features, essentially due to the difficulties in image acquisition and labeling. In this paper, we propose a novel deep residual network based on a top-down model, which is trained in an end-to-end manner to tackle the above issues in multispectral salient object detection. Our model effectively exploits the saliency cues at different levels of the deep residual network. To overcome the limited availability of remote sensing images in training of our deep residual network, we also introduce a new spectral image reconstruction model that can generate multispectral images from RGB images. 9Application of ^(137)Cs fingerprinting technique to interpreting sediment production records from reservoir deposits in a small catchment of the Hilly Loess Plateau,China显示文摘According to variations of 137Cs and clay contents, 44 flood couplets were identified in a profile of res- ervoir deposit with a vertical length of 28.12 m in the Yuntaishan Gully. Couplet 27 at the middle of the profile had the highest average 137Cs content of 12.65 Bq·kg?1, which indicated the 1963s' deposits, then 137Cs content decreased both downward and upward in the profile. The second top and bottom couplets had average 137Cs contents of 2.15 Bq·kg?1 and 0.92 Bq·kg?1, respectively. By integrated analysis of reservoir construction and management history, variations of 137Cs contents over the profile, sediment yields of flood couplets and rainfall data during the period of 1958-1970, individual storms related to the flood couplets were identified. 44 floods with a total sediment yield of 2.36×104 m3 occurred and flood events in a year varied between 1 and 10 times during the period of 1960-1970. 7-10 flood events occurred during the wet period of 1961-1964 with very wet autumn, while only 1-2 events during the dry period of 1965-1969. Average annual specific sediment yield was 1.29×104 t·km?2·a?1 for the Yuntaishan Gully during the period of 1960-1970, which was slightly higher than 1.11 ×104 t·km?2·a?1 for the Upper Yanhe River Basin above the Ganguyi Hydrological Station and slightly lower than 1.40 ×104 t·km?2·a?1 for the nearby Zhifang Gully during the same period. 11Cytogenetic characterization and description of an X_1X_1X_2X_2/X_1X_2Y sex chromosome system in Collichthys lucidus(Richardson,1844)显示文摘The chromosomes of spinyhead croaker Collichthys lucidus(Richardson,1844) were characterized for the first time by fluorescence staining,self genomic in situ hybridization(self-GISH),and multicolor fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH) with 18 SrDNA,5 SrDNA and telomeric sequence probes.The female karyotype has exclusively 24 pairs of acrocentric chromosomes(2 n=48 a,NF=48),while the male one consists of 22 pairs of acrocentric chromosomes,2 monosomic acrocentric chromosomes and a metacentric chromosome(2 n=1 m+46 a,NF=48).The difference between female and male karyotypes indicates the presence of a sex chromosome of X_1 X_1 X_2 X_2/X_1 X_2 Y type,where Y is the unique metacentric chromosome in the male karyotype.As revealed by FISH,5 S r DNA and 18 S r DNA sites were mapped at syntenic position of the largest acrocentric chromosome(X_1),and the short arms of the Y chromosome as well.An X_1-chromosome specific interstitial telomeric signal(ITS) was detected overlapping the 5 S r DNA sites.In addition,self-GISH revealed that the repetitive DNAs accumulated on all the putative sex chromosome.Chromosome fusion accompanied by a partial deletion in the ancestral karyotype(2 n=48 a) is hypothesized for the origin of such multiple sex chromosome system.The present study,as the first description of differentiated sex chromosome in family Sciaenidae,will give clues to the studies on the sex chromosome of other Sciaenids.ZHANG Shoukang ZHENG Jiao ZHANG Jing WANG Zhiyong WANG Yilei CAI Mingyi 2018Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,4:7

15Characterization of a Putative New Semi-Dominant Reduced Height Gene, Rht_NM9, in Wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)显示文摘Plant height is an important agronomic trait in cereal crops, and can affect both plant architecture and grain yield. New dwarfing genes are required for improving the genetic diversity of wheat. In this study, a novel dwarf mutant, NM9, was created by treating seeds of the wheat variety NAU9918 with ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS). NM9 showed obvious phenotypic changes, which were distinct from those caused by other dwarfing genes, especially the reduced plant height, increased effective tiller number, and elongated spike and grain length. The reduced plant height in NM9 was attributable to a semi-dominant dwarfing gene Rht_NM9, which was flanked by two closely linked SNP markers, SNP34 and SNP41, covering an 8.86-Mb region on the chromosome arm 2AS. The results of gibberellic acid(GA) sensitivity evaluation, comparative genomics analysis and allelism test indicated that Rht_NM9 was neither allelic to Rht7 and Rht21 nor homoeoallelic to Rht8, so Rht_NM9 was proposed to be a new dwarfing locus on the homoeologous group 2 chromosomes of wheat. 17Application of Stable Strontium Isotope Geochemistry and Fluid Inclusion Microthermometry to Studies of Dolomitization of the Deeply Buried Cambrian Carbonate Successions in West-Central Tarim Basin, NW China显示文摘Detailed petrographic,geochemical(O-C-Sr isotopes)and fluid inclusion studies of the deeply buried Cambrian carbonates in the West-central Tarim Basin revealed three types of crystalline dolomites(fine-crystalline,nonplanar-a(s),dolomite(RD1),fine-to medium-crystalline,planar-e(s)dolomite(RD2),and medium-to coarse-crystalline,nonplanar-a dolomite(RD3)),medium-to coarsecrystalline,nonplanar-a saddle dolomite cement(CD)and early and later-stage calcite cement.The occurrence of RD1 along low-amplitude stylolites points to link with pressure dissolution by which minor Mg ions were likely released for replacive dolomitization during early-to intermediate-burial seawater dolomitization.The increasing crystal sizes of RD2 and RD3 with irregular overgrowth rims suggests intense recrystallization and replacement upon the RD1 or remaining precursor limestones by dolomitizing fluids during late intermediate burial dolomitization.The overlap ofδ^(18)O,δ^(13)C and ^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr values of RD1-RD3 and CD dolomite with coeval seawater values,suggests that the principal dolomitizing fluids that precipitated these dolomites was connate(Cambrian)seawater preserved in the host limestones/dolomites.Their high ^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratios suggest influx of radiogenic strontium into the Cambrian seawater.Two regimes of fluid flow are recognized in the study area:firstly,influx of magnesium-rich higher-temperature basinal brines along deep-seated faults/fractures,resulting in cementation by CD dolomite.Secondly,the incursion of meteoric waters,mixing with ascending highertemperature basinal brines,and an increase in Ca^(2+)/Mg^(2+)ratio in the fluids probably results in the precipitation of calcite cement in vugs and fractures.Ngong Roger Ngia Mingyi Hu Da Gao Zhonggui Hu Chun-Yan Sun 2019Journal of Earth Science2019,30,1:5

20Injectable conductive gelatin methacrylate/oxidized dextran hydrogel encapsulating umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells for myocardial infarction treatment显示文摘Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(UCMSCs)transplantation has been proposed as a promising treatment modality for myocardial infarction(MI),but the low retention rate remains a considerable challenge.Injectable natural polymer hydrogels with conductivity ability are highly desirable as cell delivery vehicles to repair infarct myocardium and restore the cardiac function.In this work,we developed a hydrogel system based on gelatin methacrylate(GelMA)and oxidized dextran(ODEX)as cell delivery vehicles for MI.And dopamine could be used as a reductant of graphene oxide(GO)to form reductive GO(rGO).By adjusting the amount of rGO,the conductivity of hydrogels with 0.5 mg/mL rGO concentration(≈10^(-4)S/cm)was similar to that of natural heart tissue.In vitro cell experiments showed that the prepared hydrogels had excellent biocompatibility and cell delivery ability of UCMSCs.More importantly,GelMA-O5/rGO hydrogel could promote UCMSCs growth and proliferation,improve the myocardial differentiation ability of UCMSCs,and up-regulate the expression of cTnI and Cx43.Further in vivo experiments demonstrated that GelMA-O5/rGO/UCMSCs Hydrogel could significantly improve the ejection fraction(EF)of rats and significantly reduce myocardial infarct area compared to PBS group,promote the survival of UCMSCs,enhance the expression level of cTnI and Cx43,and decrease the expression level of caspase-3.The findings of this study suggested that the injectable conductive GelMA-O5/rGO hydrogel encapsulating UCMSCs could improve damaged myocardial tissue and reconstruct myocardial function,which will be a promising therapeutic strategy for cardiac repair.Shuoji Zhu Changjiang Yu Nanbo Liu Mingyi Zhao Zerui Chen Jian Liu Ge Li Huanlei Huang Huiming Guo Tucheng Sun Jimei Chen Jian Zhuang Ping Zhu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,7:4
