| 1 | Seasonal characterization of components and size distributions for submicron aerosols in Beijing显示文摘Submicron aerosols(PM1)in Beijing were studied using an Aerodyne aerosol mass spectrometer(AMS)from January to October 2008.This paper presents seasonal variations of different chemical components(sulfate,nitrate,ammonium,chloride and organics)and size distributions of PM1.Results show that mass concentration of PM1 was highest in summer,and lowest in autumn.Organics represented the dominant species in all seasons,accounting for 36%-58%of PM1,and their concentrations were highest in winter.Concentrations of inorganic components,sulfate,nitrate,and ammonium were highest in summer. Based on principal component analysis,organics were deconvolved and quantified as hydrocarbon-like and oxygenated organic aerosol(HOA and OOA,respectively).HOA was highest in winter,accounting for about 70%of organics.However,OOA was highest in summer,and had lower values in autumn and winter.A similar diurnal pattern of various components was ob- served,which is higher at nighttime and lower during daytime.HOA increased more dramatically than other species between 17:00 and 21:00 and peaked at noon,which could be related to cooking emissions. OOA,sulfate,nitrate,ammonium and chloride varied with the same trend.Their concentrations increased with solar radiation from 9:00 to 13:00,and declined with weakening solar radiation.Size distributions of all species showed apparent peaks in the range 500-600 nm.Size distributions of organics were much broader than other species,particularly in autumn and winter.Distributions of sulfate,nitrate and ammonium had similar patterns,broadening in winter.Contributions of different species were size-dependent;the finer the particle,the greater the contribution of organics.Organics represented more than 60%of particles smaller than 200 nm,contributing 50%to PM1 in winter.In spring and summer,HOA was the dominant organic fraction for particles smaller than 200 nm, while OOA contributed more to particles larger than 300 nm.In winter,HOA contributed more than OOA to all PM1 particles. | ZHANG YangMei SUN JunYing ZHANG XiaoYe SHEN XiaoJing WANG TingTing QIN MingKai | 2013 | Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,5: | 14 |

| 4 | Investigation on Precooling Effects of 4 K Stirling-Type Pulse Tube Cryocoolers显示文摘Stirling-type pulse tube cryocoolers(SPTCs)working at liquid-helium temperatures are appealing in space applications because of their promising advantages such as high reliability,compactness,etc.Worldwide efforts have been put in to develop SPTCs operating at liquid-helium temperatures especially with helium-4 as the working fluid.Staged structure is essential to reach such low temperatures.Generally,both the regenerator of the last section and the pulse tube together with the phase shifter are precooled by its upper stage or by external cold source to a low temperature of around 20 K.However,the precooling effects on the regenerator and the pulse tube are synthetic in previous studies,and their independent effects have not been studied clearly.In this manuscript,the precooling effects on the regenerator and on the pulse tube together with the phase shifter are tested independently on a unique-designed precooled SPTC.The tested precooling temperature is between 13.3 K and 22 K,and the no-load refrigeration temperature gets down to 3.6 K.Further analyses and numerical calculations have been carried out.It is found that the influence on the regenerator is remarkable,which is different from previous conclusions.It is also found that the precooling effects on the pulse tube are relatively weak because of the large pressure-induced enthalpy flow of a real gas working at the temperatures near to the critical point.Furthermore,the phase shifting capacity is analyzed with two cases and with both helium-4 and helium-3 as working fluids,and it keeps quite constant after optimizing the frequency and the precooling temperature for each case.The investigation on these independent effects will provide valid reference on the precooling mechanism study of SPTCs working down to liquid-helium temperatures. | CAO Qiang LI Zimu LUAN Mingkai SUN Zheng TANG Xiao LI Peng JIANG Zhenhua WEI Li | 2019 | Journal of Thermal Science2019,28,4: | 4 |
| 5 | A central analgesic mechanism of acupuncture for migraine An ongoing functional MRI study显示文摘Shaoyang acupoints are the most frequently used in migraine treatment.However,the central analgesic mechanism remains poorly understood.Studies have demonstrated that single stimulus of the verum acupuncture in healthy subjects can induce significant connectivity or activity changes in painrelated central networks compared with sham acupuncture.However,these findings are not indicative of the central analgesic mechanism of acupuncture at Shaoyang acupoints.Thus,we recruited 100migraine sufferers and randomly assigned them into five groups:Shaoyang uncommon acupoint,Shaoyang common acupoint,Yangming uncommon acupoint,non-acupoint control,and blank control groups.Subjects were subjected to evaluation of curative effects and functional MRI prior to and after10 and 20 acupuncture treatments.All subjects were diagnosed by physicians and enrolled following clinical physical examination.Subjects were observed during 1–4 weeks after inclusion.At the fifth week,the first clinical evaluation and resting functional MRI were conducted.The Shaoyang uncommon acupoint,Shaoyang common acupoint,Yangming uncommon acupoint,and non-acupoint control grousp then were treated with acupuncture,five times per week,20 times in total over 4 weeks.The second and third clinical evaluations and resting functional MRI screenings were conducted following10 and 20 acupuncture treatments.The blank control group was observed during the 5 to 8 week period,followed by clinical evaluation and resting functional MRI.The aim of this study was to examine changes in brain functional activity and central networks in subjects with migraine undergoing acupuncture at Shaoyang uncommon acupoints.This study provides a further explanation of the central analgesic mechanism by which acupuncture at Shaoyang acupoints treats migraine. | Lei Lan Yujie Gao Fang Zeng Wei Qin Mingkai Dong Mailan Liu Taipin Guo Fanrong Liang | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,28: | 3 |
| 6 | Simultaneous growth of carbon nanotubes on inner/outer surfaces of porous polyhedra:Advanced sulfur hosts for lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Metal-organic framework (MOF)-derived functional carbon matrices have recently attracted considerable attention as energy-storage materials.However,the development of MOF-derived carbon materials with hierarchical structures,capable of thoroughly preventing the 'shuttling' of polysulfides,is still a major challenge.Herein,we synthesized cobalt nanoparticle-containing porous carbon polyhedra with in situ grown N-doped carbon nanotube (CNT) backbone (NCCNT-Co),using zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 (ZIF-67) as starting material.The obtained NCCNT-Co,with interconnected N-doped CNTs on both inner and outer surfaces,possesses an integrated conductive network,which can further accelerate the transport of electrons/ions inside the whole sulfur cathode.The mesoporous structure derived from the ZIF-67 matrix and the densely immobilized CNTs,coupled with the homogeneously doped N atoms and Co nanoparticles,can efficiently trap lithium polysulfides (LiPSs) by physical confinement and chemical interactions.Furthermore,the hierarchical structure of the porous carbon polyhedra enables a high sulfur loading of up to 76 wt.% and can also buffer the volume changes of active sulfur during the lithiation process.As a result,the NCCNT-Co-S cathode delivers a high initial specific capacity of 1,300 mAh·g-1 at 0.1 C,along with a high capacity of 860 rnAh·g-1 after 500 cycles at 1 C,with an extremely low capacity decay of 0.024% per cycle. | Hengyi Lu Chao Zhang Youfang Zhang Yunpeng Huang Mingkai Liu Tianxi Liu | 2018 | Nano Research2018,11,12: | 3 |
| 7 | Early Activation of Astrocytes does not Affect Amyloid Plaque Load in an Animal Model of Alzheimer's Disease显示文摘Astrocytes are closely associated with Alzheimer's disease(AD). However, their precise roles in AD pathogenesis remain controversial. One of the reasons behind the different results reported by different groups might be that astrocytes were targeted at different stages of disease progression. In this study, by crossing h APP(human amyloid precursor protein)-J20 mice with a line of GFAP-TK mice, we found that astrocytes were activated specifically at an early stage of AD before the occurrence of amyloid plaques, while microglia were not affected by this crossing. Activation of astrocytes at the age of 3–5 months did not affect the proteolytic processing of hAPP and amyloid plaque loads in the brains of hAPP-J20 mice. | 10 | Simple Fabrication of Hierarchical Micro/Nanostructure Superhydrophobic Surface with Stable and Superior Anticorrosion Silicon Steel via Laser Marking Treatment显示文摘To improve the weak corrosion resistance of silicon steel to acid solution and alkaline solution with high temperature,a stable hierarchical micro/nanostructure superhydrophobic surface with myriad irregular micro-scale hump and sheet-like nanostructure was successfully prepared on silicon steel by a simple,efficient and facile operation in large-area laser marking treatment.The morphology,composition,wettability of the as-prepared surface were studied.The superhydrophobic performance of the surface was investigated as well.Additionally,the corrosion resistance of the superhydrophobic surface to acidic solutions at room temperature and alkaline solutions at high temperature (80 ℃) was carefully explored.The corrosion resistance mechanism was clarified.Moreover,considering the practical application of the surface in the future,the hardness of the hierarchical micro/nanostructure superhydrophobic surface was studied.The experimental results indicate that the hierarchical micro/nanostructure surface with texture spacing of 100 μm treated at laser scanning speed of 100 mms/ presents superior superhydrophobicity after decreasing surface energy.The contact angle can be as high as 156.6°.Additionally,the superhydrophobic surface provide superior and stable anticorrosive protection for silicon steel in various corrosive environments.More importantly,the prepared structure of the surface shows high hardness,which ensures that the surface of the superhydrophobic surface cannot be destroyed easily.The surface is able to maintain great superhydrophobic performance when it suffers from slight impacting and abrasion. | FU Jing TANG Mingkai ZHANG Qiaoxin | 2020 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2020,35,2: | 2 |

| 12 | A facile and general method for synthesis of antibiotic-free protein-based hydrogel:Wound dressing for the eradication of drug-resistant bacteria and biofilms显示文摘Antibacterial protein hydrogels are receiving increasing attention in the aspect of bacteria-infected-wound healing. However, bacterial drug resistance and biofilm infections lead to hard healing of wounds, thus the construction of biological agents that can overcome these issues is essential. Here, a simple and universal method to construct antibiotic-free protein hydrogel with excellent biocompatibility and superior antibacterial activity against drug-resistant bacteria and biofilms was developed. The green industrial microbicide tetrakis (hydroxymethyl) phosphonium sulfate (THPS) as cross-linking agent can be quickly cross-linked with model protein bovine serum albumin (BSA) to form antibacterial hydrogel through simple mixing without any other initiators, subsequently promoting drug-resistance bacteria-infected wound healing. This simple gelatinization strategy allows at least ten different proteins to form hydrogels (e.g. BSA, human serum albumin (HSA), egg albumin, chymotrypsin, trypsin, lysozyme, transferrin, myohemoglobin, hemoglobin, and phycocyanin) under the same conditions, showing prominent universality. Furthermore, drug-resistance bacteria and biofilm could be efficiently destroyed by the representative BSA hydrogel (B-Hydrogel) with antibacterial activity, overcoming biofilm-induced bacterial resistance. The in vivo study demonstrated that the B-Hydrogel as wound dressing can promote reepithelization to accelerate the healing of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)-infected skin wounds without inducing significant side-effect. Methods: Using primers specific for aquaporin-1, reverse transcription combined withpolymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) yielded a product and its size with total RNAprepared from the human trabecular meshwork cells. SDS-PAGE and immunoblottingwere also used in this study to detect the specific water channel.Results: The presence of this product and its size (298 base pairs) are consistent withthat of an aquaporin-1 message in these cells. A band of 28 kD in agreement with themolecular size of aquaporin-1 was showed in a film by immunoblotting.Conclusion: The presence of aquaporin-1 in human trabecular meshwork cells, thepredominant cell-type of the primary outflow region of the human eye, suggests that waterchannels may be involved in the movement of aqueous fluid out of the eye. | 20 | Theoretical assessment of hydrogen production and multicycle energy conversion via solar thermochemical cycle based on nonvolatile SnO2显示文摘A kind of solar thermochemical cycle based on methanothermal reduction of SnO2 is proposed for H2 and CO production. We find that the oxygen release capacity and thermodynamic driven force for methanothermal reduction of SnO2 are large, and suggest CH4 :SnO2 = 2:1 as the feasible reduction condition for achieving high purities of syngas and avoiding vaporization of produced Sn. Subsequently, the amount of H2 and energetic upgrade factors under different oxidation conditions are compared, in which excess water vapor is found beneficial for hydrogen production and fuel energetic upgradation. Moreover, the effect of incom plete recovery of SnO2 on the subsequent cycle is underscored and explained.
