1Synthesis of MoX2 (X =Se or S) monolayers with high-concentration 1T'phase on 4H/fcc-Au nanorods for hydrogen evolution显示文摘Controlled synthesis of transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) monolayers with unusual crystal phases has attracted increasing attention due to their promising applications in electrocatalysis.However,the facile and large-scale preparation of TMD monolayers with high-concentration unusual crystal phase still remains a challenge.Herein,we report the synthesis of MoX2 (X =Se or S) monolayers with high-concentration semimetallic 1T'phase by using the 4H/face-centered cubic (fcc)-Au nanorod as template to form the 4H/fcc-Au@MoX2 nanocomposite.The concentrations of 1T'phase in the prepared MoSe2 and MoS2 monolayers are up to 86% and 81%,respectively.As a proof-of-concept application,the obtained Au@MoS2 nanocomposite is used for the electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in acid medium,exhibiting excellent performance with a low overpotential of 178 mV at the current density of 10 mNcm^2,a small Tafel slope of 43.3 mV/dec,and excellent HER stability.This work paves a way for direct synthesis of TMD monolayers with high-concentration of unusual crystal phase for the electrocatalytic application.Zhengqing Liu Xiao Zhang Yue Gong Qipeng Lu Zhicheng Zhang Hongfei Cheng Qinglang Ma Junze Chen Meiting Zhao Bo Chen Ye Chen Xue-Jun Wu Pengfei Yin Lin Gu Yaping Du Hua Zhang 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:3
2Temperature and symmetry energy of neutron-rich fragments in the 1A GeV^(124,136)Xe+Pb reactions显示文摘In this work we study the symmetry-energy coefficient of neutron-rich nuclei,and the temperature dependence of nuclear symmetry energy at low temperatures.An isobaric method is used to extract the symmetry-energy coefficients of neutron-rich nucleus(asym) at zero temperature(T) and asym/T at nonzero temperature in the measured 1A GeV124,136Xe+Pb reactions.T of fragment is obtained from the ratio of its asym to asym/T.The results show that,for fragment with the same neutron-excess(I=N Z),the heavier the fragment is,the higher T it has,and T tends to saturate around 1 MeV for the large mass fragments.It is also shown that the more neutron-rich the isobar is,the higher temperature it has.The T2dependence of symmetry energy of finite nucleus at low temperatures is verified by the extracted results.MA Chunwang QIAO Chunyuan WANG Shanshan LU Fangmei CHEN Li GUO Meiting 2013Nuclear Science and Techniques2013,24,5:2
3Improvement in Resolution of Multiphoton Scanning Structured Illumination Microscopy via Harmonics显示文摘We describe a multiphoton(mP)-structured illumination microscopy(SIM)technique,which demonstrates substantial improvement in image resolution compared with linear SIM due to the nonlinear response of fluorescence.This nonlinear response is caused by the effect of nonsinusoidal structured illumination created by scanning a sinusoidally modulated illumination to excite an mP fluorescence signal.The harmonics of the structured fluorescence illumination are utilised to improve resolution.We present an mP-SIM theory for reconstructing the super-resolution image of the system.Theoretically,the resolution of our m P-SIM is unlimited if all the high-order harmonics of the nonlinear response of fluorescence are considered.Experimentally,we demonstrate an 86 nm lateral resolution for two-photon(2P)-SIM and a 72 nm lateral resolution for second-harmonic-generation(SHG)-SIM.We further demonstrate their application by imaging cells stained with F-actin and collagen fibres in mouse-tail tendon.Our method can be directly used in commercial mP microscopes and requires no specific fluorophores or high-intensity laser.Lei Wang Xiaomin Zheng Jie Zhou Meiting Wang Jiajie Chen Youjun Zeng Gaixia Xu Ying Wang Haixia Qiu Yonghong Shao Junle Qu Bruce Zhi Gao Ying Gu 2022Engineering2022,,9:1

5Size engineering of 2D MOF nanosheets for enhanced photodynamic antimicrobial therapy显示文摘Although porphyrin-based metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have been widely explored as photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy,how the size will affect the light-induced catalytic activity for generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)still remain unclear.Herein,we first report the size-controlled synthesis of two-dimensional(2D)porphyrin-based PCN-134 MOF nanosheets by a two-step solvothermal method to explore the size effect on its PDT performance,thus yielding enhanced photodynamic antimicrobial therapy.By simply controlling the reaction temperature in the synthesis process,the bulk PCN-134 crystal,large PCN-134(L-PCN-134)nanosheets with a lateral size of 2–3μm and thickness of 33.2–37.5 nm and small PCN-134 nanosheets(S-PCN-134)with a lateral size of 160–180 nm and thickness of 9.1–9.7 nm were successfully prepared.Interestingly,the S-PCN-134 nanosheets exhibit much higher photodynamic activity for ROS generation than that of the bulk 3D PCN-134 crystal and L-PCN-134 nanosheets under a660 nm laser irradiation,suggesting that the photodynamic activity of PCN-134 MOF increases when the size reduces.Therefore,the S-PCN-134 nanosheets show much enhanced performance when used as a photosensitizer for photodynamic antimicrobial activity and wound healing.Baoli Xue Xiwen Geng Haohao Cui Huiying Chen Zhikang Wu Hong Chen Hai Li Zhan Zhou Meiting Zhao Chaoliang Tan Jingguo Li 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,9:0
6Comparison of point detection and area detection for point-scanning structured illumination microscopy显示文摘Structured illumination microscopy(SIM)is suitable for biological samples because of its relatively low-peak illumination intensity requirement and high imaging speed.The system resolution is affected by two typical detection modes:Point detection and area detection.However,a systematic analysis of the imaging performance of the different detection modes of the system has rarely been conducted.In this study,we compared laser point scanning point detection(PS-PD)and point scanning area detection(PS-AD)imaging in nonconfocal microscopy through theoretical analysis and simulated imaging.The results revealed that the imaging resolutions of PSPD and PS-AD depend on excitation and emission point spread functions(PSFs),respectively.Especially,we combined the second harmonic generation(SHG)of point detection(P-SHG)and area detection(A-SHG)with SIM to realize a nonlinear SIM-imaging technique that improves the imaging resolution.Moreover,we analytically and experimentally compared the nonlinear SIM performance of P-SHG with that of A-SHG.Wenshuai Wu Jiajie Chen Meiting Wang Lei Wang Xiaomin Zheng Jia Li Junle Qu Bruce Zhi Gao Yonghong Shao 2023Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2023,16,4:0
7Modified R-CODOX-M/IVAC chemotherapy regimens in Chinese patients with untreated sporadic Burkitt lymphoma显示文摘Objective:To characterize modified R-CODOX-M/IVAC-based chemotherapy to lower the severe adverse events in Chinese adult patients with sporadic Burkitt lymphoma.Methods:We enrolled a retrospective cohort including 123 adult patients with untreated sporadic Burkitt lymphoma from August 2008 to September 2019 at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center.We studied a dose-modified and long-course R-CODOX-M/IVAC regimen utilizing a low dose of 1.0 g/m2/cycle cyclophosphamide,2 g/m2/cycle methotrexate,4,500 mg/m2/cycle ifosfamide,and 4.0 g/m2/cycle cytarabine.Forty-nine patients with low risk disease underwent 4–6 cycles of dose-modified R-CODOX-M-based chemotherapy.Seventy-four patients with high risk disease underwent 6–8 cycles of dose-modified alternating R-CODOX-M/IVAC regimens.Results:The objective remission was 87.0%.The event-free survival rate and overall survival at 3 years were 81.2%and 92.1%,respectively.Major grade 3–4 adverse events included leukopenia(91.9%),anemia(58.5%),thrombocytopenia(73.2%),and febrile neutropenia(48.8%).A total of 26.0%and 37.4%of patients received red blood cell and platelet transfusions,respectively.We observed 4 cases(3.3%)of septic shock after chemotherapy.Two treatment-related deaths occurred from severe infection.Conclusions:The modified R-CODOX-M/IVAC chemotherapy regimen was effective for sporadic Burkitt lymphoma in the Chinese population,with a lower toxicity than standard regimens.Meiting Chen Zhao Wang Xiaojie Fang Yuyi Yao Quanguang Ren Zegeng Chen Ying Tian Fei Pan Xiaoqian Li Zhiming Li Qingqing Cai He Huang Tongyu Lin 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,3:0
8Histone modification landscape and the key significance of H3K27me3 in myocardial ischaemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘Histone modifications play crucial roles in the pathogenesis of myocardial ischaemia/reperfusion(I/R)injury.However,a genome-wide map of histone modifications and the underlying epigenetic signatures in myocardial I/R injury have not been established.Here,we integrated transcriptome and epigenome of histone modifications to characterize epigenetic signatures after I/R injury.Disease-specific histone mark alterations were mainly found in H3K27me3-,H3K27ac-,and H3K4me1-marked regions 24 and 48 h after I/R.Genes differentially modified by H3K27ac,H3K4me1 and H3K27me3 were involved in immune response,heart conduction or contraction,cytoskeleton,and angiogenesis.H3K27me3 and its methyltransferase polycomb repressor complex 2(PRC2)were upregulated in myocardial tissues after I/R.Upon selective inhibition of EZH2(the catalytic core of PRC2),the mice manifest improved cardiac function,enhanced angiogenesis,and reduced fibrosis.Further investigations confirmed that EZH2 inhibition regulated H3K27me3 modification of multiple pro-angiogenic genes and ultimately enhanced angiogenic properties in vivo and in vitro.This study delineates a landscape of histone modifications in myocardial I/R injury,and identifies H3K27me3 as a key epigenetic modifier in I/R process.The inhibition of H3K27me3 and its methyltransferase might be a potential strategy for myocardial I/R injury intervention.Le Ni Bowen Lin Yanping Zhang Lingjie Hu Jianghua Lin Fengmei Fu Meiting Shen Can Li Lei Chen Jian Yang Dan Shi Yi-Han Chen 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,6:0
9Application of VIGS system to explore the function of common wheat TaADF7显示文摘As an allohexaploid plant,common wheat has a complex gene structure,making it difficult to study its gene function.Virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS)is an important tool for the rapid analysis of plant gene function.In this study,the gene silencing system,namely,barley stripe mosaic virus(BSMV)-VIGS induced by BSMV was used to silence the wheat phytoene desaturase(TaPDS)and actin depolymerization factor(TaADF7)genes and determine the effect of gene silencing on wheat.TaPDS was used as an indicator gene to determine the feasibility of VIGS system,while TaADF7 was used as a test gene to determine its effect on wheat growth.Results showed that the leaves of tobacco and wheat were bleached by the mixture of pCaBS-α,pCaBS-β,and pCaBS-γ::TaPDS,indicating that the TaPDS gene was silenced,and the bleached leaves had physiological activity as determined by trypan blue staining.Therefore,the VIGS system was efficient and available.After the tobacco was treated with pCaBS-α,pCaBS-β,and pCaBS-γ::TaADF7,the viral suspension was obtained.The expression of TaADF7 gene was downregulated after wheat leaves were infected by friction,indicating that the expression of TaADF7 was silenced.Laser confocal scanning microscopy showed that the silencing of TaADF7 enhanced the fluorescence of microfilament skeleton in mesophyll protoplasts and significantly reduced the plant height.Results showed that TaADF7 affected cell division and plant growth by inhibiting microfilament depolymerization.In conclusion,the BSMV-VIGS system was used to silence wheat TaPDS and TaADF7 genes.Bleaching phenomenon was observed in wheat leaves after TaPDS silencing.After TaADF7 silencing,microfilaments in wheat mesophyll cells gathered into coarse bundles,which affected the dynamics of microfilaments and inhibited plant growth.HUIZE CHEN XINGTIAN JIA HAIYAN RAN JINGRONG NIU MEITING DU 2022BIOCELL2022,46,2:0
10Development and application of high-precision multifunction astronomical plate digitizers in China显示文摘Before charge-coupled device detectors became widely employed in observational astronomy,for more than a hundred years,the main detection method was photography on astronomical glass plates.Recently,in order to preserve these historical data and maintain their usability,the International Astronomical Union has appealed to all countries for global digitization of astronomical plates by developing or adopting advanced digitization technology.Specialized digitizers with high precision and high measuring speed represent key equipment for this task.The Shanghai Astronomical Observatory and the Nishimura Co.,Ltd in Japan cooperated between 2013 and 2016 to develop the first Chinese high-precision astronomical plate digitizer,which was then used for complete digitization of all nighttime-observation astronomical plates in China.Then,in 2019–2021,the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory independently developed new models of plate digitizers that enabled countries such as Uzbekistan and Italy to digitize their astronomical plates.Additionally,a new high-precision and multifunction digitizer was also used to digitize valuable microscope slides from the Shanghai Natural History Museum,providing a successful example of cross-domain application of high-precision digitization technology.Meiting Yang Yong Yu Liangliang Wang Zhengjun Shang Changshun Liu Lixin Zheng Zhendong Chen Jing Yang Dongmei Da Shan Dong Shiyin Shen Zhenghong Tang Jianhai Zhao 2024Astronomical Techniques and Instruments2024,1,1:0
11A novel two-dimensional nanoheterojunction via facilitating electron–hole pairs separation for synergistic tumor phototherapy and immunotherapy显示文摘Nanomaterial-mediated phototherapy in tumor treatment has been developed rapidly in the past few years due to its noninvasive character.However,the low energy conversion efficiency and high recombination rate of the photo-triggered electron–hole pairs of single nano-agent limit the phototherapy efficiency.Herein,we constructed a novel two-dimensional nanoheterojunction MoS_(2)-Ti_(3)C_(2)(MT),which allowed a high photothermal conversion efficiency(59.1%)as well as an effective separation of photo-triggered electron–hole pairs for reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation under single 808 nm laser irradiation.Upon the modification of the mitochondrial targeted molecule(3-proxycarboxylic)triphenyl phosphine bromide(TPP)and 4T1 cell membrane,m@MoS_(2)-Ti_(3)C_(2)/TPP(m@MTT)could effectively target to the tumor cell and further locate to the mitochondria to amplify tumor-specific oxidative stress,which not merely effectively inhibits the local tumor growth but also induces tumor immunogenic cell death(ICD)for activating antitumor immune response.Additionally,cytosine guanine dinucleotide(CPG),as a Toll-like receptor 9(TLR9)agonist,was further introduced to the system to boost adaptive immune responses,resulting in improved level of cytotoxic T cells as well as a decrease in the number of regulatory T cells.In vivo antitumor mechanism studies demonstrated that not only the primary and distant tumors in 4T1 bearing-tumor mice model were significantly inhibited,but also the lung metastasis of tumor was effectively suppressed.Therefore,this work revealed the ROS generation mechanism of MT nanoheterojunction and provided a novel strategy to fabricate a biomedically applicable MT nanoheterojunction for tumor treatment.Xiaoge Zhang Xiaomei Chen Peng Zhang Meiting Li Miao Feng Yaqian Zhang Lili Cheng Junjie Tang Langtao Xu Yadong Liu Zhuoyin Liu Zhong Cao Jie Liu 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
12A specific assay for JmjC domain-containing lysine demethylase and its application to inhibitor screening显示文摘Dear Editor, Chromatin is the macromolecular complex of DNA and histone proteins, which provides the scaffold for the packaging of our entire genome. In the basic unit of chromatin, the nucleosomes contain 147 base pairs of DNA, which is wrapped around a histone octamer, with two each of histones H2A, H2B, H3, and H4. Several types of post-translational modifications, including acetylation, phosphorylation, ubiquitination, and methylation, are possible on the tails of histones (Zhang et al., 2015). Combinations of these modifications determine the chromatin structure and transcriptional regulation of genes. Histone methylation is highlighted because of the specific dynamics related to gene regulation. Aberrant histone methylation has been observed in many types of tumors (Albert and Helin, 2010) and may contribute to the neoplastic transformation of cells (Chi et al., 2010). Histone lysine methylation is regulated by two classes of enzymes that have opposing activities: histone lysine methyltransferases (KMTs) and histone lysine demethylases (KDMs).
