| 1 | Useful detection of CD147 (EMMPRIN) for pathological diagnosis of early hepatocellular carcinoma in needle biopsy samples显示文摘AIM:To make clear whether CD147 (EMMPRIN) expression in pathological tumor samples with a fine-needle aspiration biopsy is useful for pathological diagnosis of early hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). METHODS:Twenty-two patients (15 men and 7 women; median age 68 years,range 56-81 years) underwent a liver tissue biopsy in order to make a diagnosis of HCC. Paraffin-embedded liver biopsy tissue samples from 22 patients were stained with anti-CD147 antibody,murine monoclonal antibody 12C3 (MAb12C3) for immunohistochemical analysis. An immunohistochemical analysis of CD147 was performed and the degree of staining compared between tumor and non-tumor tissue. In addition,the degree of staining within tumor tissue was compared according to a number of clinicopathological variables. | 2 | Irsogladine maleate and rabeprazole in non-erosive reflux disease: A double-blind, placebo-controlled study显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the efficacy of adding irsogladine maleate(IM) to proton-pump inhibitor(PPI) therapy in non-erosive reflux disease(NERD) treatment.METHODS:One hundred patients with NERD were recruited and randomized to receive rabeprazole plus IM(group I) or rabeprazole plus placebo(group P).The efficacy of the treatment was assessed using the Frequency Scale for the Symptoms of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease(FSSG) and the short form(SF)-36 quality of life questionnaires after four weeks of treatment.We also assessed whether patients with NERD with minimal changes(grade M) had different responses to the therapies compared with patients who did not have minimal changes(grade N).RESULTS:Group I and group P showed significant improvements in their FSSG scores after the treatment(from 17.9 ± 7.9 to 9.0 ± 7.6, and from 17.7 ± 7.3 to 11.2 ± 7.9, respectively, P = 0.0001), but there was no statistically significant difference between the FSSG scores in group I and those in group P.Subgroup analysis showed that significant improvements in the FSSG scores occurred in the patients in group I who had NERD grade N(modified Los Angeles classification)(7.8 ± 7.4 vs 12.5 ± 9.8, P = 0.041).The SF-36 scores for patients with NERD grade N who had received IM and rabeprazole were significantly improved in relation to their vitality and mental health scores.CONCLUSION:The addition of IM to rabeprazole significantly improves gastroesophageal reflux diseasesymptoms and the quality of the lives of patients with NERD grade N. | Takayoshi Suzuki Masashi Matsushima Aya Masui Shingo Tsuda Jin Imai Jun Nakamura Yoko Tsukune Tetsufumi Uchida Hiroki Yuhara Muneki Igarashi Jun Koike Tetsuya Mine | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015，21，16： | 8 |
| 3 | Health and Economic Impacts of Air Pollution in China: A Comparison of the General Equilibrium Approach and Human Capital Approach显示文摘In China, combustion of fossil fuels and biomass has produced serious air pollution that does harm to human health. Based on dose-response relationships derived from epidemiological studies, the authors calculated the number of deaths and people with health problems which were thought to be attributable to China's air pollution in the year of 2000. In order to estimate the corresponding economic impacts from the national point of view, the general equilibrium approach was selected as an analysis tool for this study. A computable general equilibrium (CGE) model was constructed involving 39 sectors and 32 commodities.The human capital approach (HCA) was also used for comparison. The economic burden of disease for people estimated by HCA was equivalent to 1.26‰ (ranging from 0.44‰ to 1.84‰) of China's gross domestic product (GDP). China's GDP loss estimated by the general equilibrium approach reached 0.38‰ (ranging from 0.16‰ to 0.51‰). | 4 | Selective liquid phase oxidation of cyclohexane over Pt/CeO_(2)-ZrO_(2)-SnO_(2)/SiO_(2)catalysts with molecular oxygen显示文摘Partial oxidation of cyclohexane into cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol(KA-oil)is an industrially significant reaction for producing precursors for the synthesis ofε-caprolactam and adipic acid,which are the building blocks of nylon.However,to date,the cyclohexane conversion ratio has usually been limited to less than 6%to prevent further oxidation of the cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone targets.In this study,we report that Pt/CeO_(2)-ZrO_(2)-SnO_(2)/SiO_(2),in which CeO2-ZrO2-SnO2 provide reactive oxygen molecules from inside the bulk,can act as efficient catalysts.Optimization of the catalyst composition and reaction conditions provided a cyclohexane conversion ratio of 24.1%and a total selectivity for cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone of 83.4%at 130℃in 0.5 MPa(4.9 atm)air for 7 h over a 5wt%Pt/16wt%Ce_(0.68)Zr_(0.17)Sn_(0.15)O_(2.0)/SiO_(2)catalyst.This catalyst has significant advantages over conventional catalysts because the reaction proceeds at a lower pressure,and there is no need for toxic radical initiators or free-radical scavengers. | Nobuhito IMANAKA Toshiyuki MASUI Kazuya JYOKO | 2015 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2015，4，2： | 4 |

| 8 | Catalytic liquid-phase oxidation of acetaldehyde to acetic acid over a Pt/CeO_2–ZrO_2–SnO_2/γ-alumina catalyst显示文摘Pt/CeO2–ZrO2–SnO2/γ-Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by co-precipitation and wet impregnation methods for catalytic oxidation of acetaldehyde to acetic acid in water. In the present catalysts, Pt and CeO2–ZrO2–SnO2 were successfully dispersed on the γ-Al2O3 support.Dependences of platinum content and reaction time on the selective oxidation of acetaldehyde to acetic acid were investigated to optimize the reaction conditions for obtaining both high acetaldehyde conversion and highest selectivity to acetic acid. Among the catalysts, a Pt(6.4 wt.%)/Ce0.68Zr0.17Sn0.15O2.0(16 wt.%)/γ-Al2O3 catalyst showed the highest acetaldehyde oxidation activity. | 11 | Considerations in Applying the General Equilibrium Approach to Environmental Health Assessment显示文摘There are currently two commonly used approaches to assessing economic impacts of health damage resulting from environmental pollution: human capital approach (HCA) and willingness-to-pay (WTP). WTP can be further divided into averted expenditure approach (AEA), hedonic wage approach (HWA), contingent valuation approach (CVA) and hedonic price approach (HPA). A general review of the principles behind these approaches by the authors indicates that these methods are incapable of unveiling the mechanism of health impact from the point of view of national economy. On a basis of economic system, the shocks brought about by health effects of environmental pollution change the labor supply and medical expenditure, which in turn affects the level of production activity in each sector and the total final consumption pattern of the society. The general equilibrium approach within the framework of macroeconomic theory is able to estimate the health impact on national economy comprehensively and objectively.
